Martin Luther s Impact On The Catholic Church
This essay will be about the changes that were made prior to the Reformation. Martin Luther was one
of the main people who had made a significant impact for the Catholic Church that changed many
people s lives for the better. Some people didn t agree with what Martin Luther s actions, or what he
had to say. Many people also loved what he did, and they are still thanking him today. These changes
and important factors that will be explained throughout the essay.
The 95 These was the most significant impacts that Martin Luther had made. The 95 Theses were
written in 1517 and it challenged the teachings and the indulgences of the catholic Church at the time
(Theopedia.com, 2016). Martin Luther felt as though that the Church officials were teaching the
public that they could literally buy their way into the kingdom of God (GotQuestions.org, 2016), for
example some people truly believed that if you bought something like a piece of paper, it was like a
ticket straight into heaven. He nailed the 95 Theses on the gate of the Wittenberg Church, this caught
people s attention and shortly enough it started a theological debate; this then lead to the Reformation.
The 96 Theses got people thinking, and agreeing with what Martin Luther had to say. He strongly
disagreed with the fact that people were being punished/abused for indulging and/or sinning. The 95
Theses created a full Reformation of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The 95 Theses were distributed throughout Germany and then they made their way to Rome. The
Pope declared that Martin Luther should disown the 95 These, Luther didn t go through with this and
the Pope sent interrogators to Martin Luther, and he was charged with heresy, just for his opinions
about the Catholic Church at the time. This all lead for the revolution that hit Wittenberg first. Pope
Leo X ex communicated Martin Luther (Understanding Faith, 2016) for disobeying

Rip Van Winkle s Embodiment Of Freedom
Rip Van Winkle is the very embodiment of freedom, a very unsightly version of freedom but freedom
nonetheless. Running through the story, it is learned that Rip Van Winkle is a lazy and unproductive
member of society. He doesn t do any beneficial work for his family, his terribly passive behavior
rubbed off of on his son, and so forth. Even then, he s still being terrorized by various kinds of
tyrannical powers: the tyranny of marriage (his very uptight wife, Dame Van Winkle, nags on him a
lot), the tyranny of social expectations (a man in his prime is expected to do something beneficial),
and the tyranny of government (he is under direct rule of King George III). Thankfully, a magical nap
solved all of these issues. With him sleeping through

Cultural Imperialism And The United States
During my time in Guatemala, I believe that the social issues I came in the most contact with were
hegemony and cultural imperialism, or in other words, the influence the United States has over
Guatemala. No matter where I was, whether it be the streets of the small town of San Miguel or the
larger, more developed city of Guatemala City, I could not help but notice how much of an impact the
United States has. Throughout the course of a month we learned a lot about the root causes of poverty
America as a hegemon through both readings and discussion. The footprint the U.S. has left in
Guatemala was apparent not only while reading and learning about the history of Latin America, but
while visiting the country itself. In addition, we had the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As you walk or drive through Guatemala, you are sure to see countless billboards, much like in the
U.S. Being from the U.S., this seems completely normal. The signs even looked very similar. When I
took a closer look at the signs, I noticed why they looked so similar. There were American models on
the signs. In particular, I noticed a blonde haired woman on the front of a billboard advertising
shampoo. I also noticed American women on billboards advertising jeans and beer. When looking into
bars I saw calendars with American women as well. It was impossible not to notice the influence that
the U.S. had not only on methods of advertising, but also on the images used. In addition to noticing
the U.S. hegemon while on the streets of Guatemala, I also noticed it while living with the people.
While staying with host families, we were given the opportunity to take in an entirely different culture
or so we thought. Even though living amongst Guatemalans was a very new experience, it was also
very evident that the U.S. had impacted the traditional Guatemalan way of life. The first thing that I
noticed while living with my host family was the way they dressed. My host parents wore what can be
considered as traditional clothing. They had not let any outside influence impact their decision in
clothing. However, my host siblings we not mirroring their parents. My host siblings ranged from
fourteen years old to about thirty years old. They wore much more casual

Italy Silvio Berlusconi Research Paper
In our country currently, corruption is a topic highly discussed among the people of America. People
believe that corruption costed them, the most recent Presidential election. Some say corruption in our
government caused them to go out make their voices heard by voting for someone who preached of
cleaning up Washington, D.C.. But across the Atlantic Ocean there are problems of their own evolving
rapidly, more specifically in Italy. Is the reason Italy s so corrupt, do to the fact wealthy people will do
to all their best to effect outcome? History has showed us that corruption can run rabbid through the
world, take a look at Africa. Millions of dollar and supplies are shipped there, but are lucky if they
reach their intended targets Italy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The only thing about corruption that has evolved since the first idea of it was conceived is the fact it s
dipped its toe into fraud, embezzlement, theft, bribes, and kickbacks. Silvio used his social enterprise
to help him rise to the highest political achievement you can have in Italy, along the way he made
horrific mistakes that eventual would be the end of him. The Mafia started as basically a bodyguard
for your land before Italy was even established as a country. Since then they hit a point of decline but
eventually rose to unimaginable strength. Would weave its way in between the cracks of the Italian
government. So when i ask the question of, is the reason Italy s so corrupt, do to the fact wealthy
people will do to all their best to effect outcome? I don t believe it s just these things contributing to
the demise of the Italian government, but the mindset, the moral of the Italian people. They know that
half their government is not for the people but or themselves. And they don t do anything about it. In
America the authenticity of our government came under fire, so the people of America decided to
attack the situation and elect a person who claims to clean up the government. Atleast thats more then
Italy has done, and their situation is much more

Pros And Cons Of Video Games
The world of virtual reality is loved by people who are fan of video games. However, the main victims
to get so deeply absorbed in this kind of world are children (as young as 7 years old). It is easy for
young minds to become addicted to something they are possibly not yet ready for; especially screens
and consoles. Video games are not good for kids since it isolates them from real life, could encourage
violent behaviors and ideas, and chips away at their social skills. Children could spend the whole day
sitting in one place and be perfectly happy with a device. A major con is that the majority of them
become unaware of their surroundings because the children might be too hypnotized by what is being
held in their hands. Most children are quite easy to entertain, but entertainment should not be provided
by video games. When he or she becomes addicted to video games and accustomed to a style of this
kind of entertainment, they probably would favor staying in one place on their electronics instead of
experiencing real life. Childhood is when kids are slowly learning the differences between reality and
fantasy. If a child is not mature enough, and if he or she is exposed to video games at that age, then it
might be difficult for them to differentiate fantasy from reality. Fantasy is usually fun, so a child might
rather believe that what they see in a video game will happen in real life. Kids are like sponges, so
when they take in all of what they see into their minds, it s

Effective Communication For The Workplace
Someone once said great communication is a skill that is needed in life. I believe great communication
can take an individual very far in life. Effective communication helps connect with people. It can open
many doors for many jobs. It lets the employer know whom they have hired, and how intelligent the
person really is. In the business profession, effective communication enables managers to give
understandable instructions to their employees. Effective communication will help state what is
expected from workers. I believe effective communication can be used in all aspects of the workplace.
First, Susan Adams from Forbes wrote Good grammar is important in life. Using correct grammar in
the workplace shows the intelligence of the worker. It also shows how well thoughts are put together
before speaking. Using good grammar can also show employers that an employee can accomplish
other tasks on the job no matter what it is. For example the employee can be asked to give a formal
speech because the employer trusts that the employee will use the right language when talking. Good
grammar also shows the company that the employee cares about his personal image, the company
image, and that s what makes the company stand out from other companies. Good grammar shows
who the person is, for example what type of establishment have they grown up around. It also shows
what type of people the company hires (Adams). Kyle Adams wrote in the Harvard Business Review,

Impact Of Globalisation In Australia
Globalisation is the developing economic interdependence among nations reflected in increasing
actual movements across nations of trade, investment, technology, finance and labour, with the ability
to move and the potential movement across nations with those five elements. Australia s involvement
in trade, investment, financial flows, technology transfers and the migration of labour since its
foundation as a colony, has impacted and changed the structure of Australia s trade, with considerable
growth in manufacturing and service industries, with limited growth in the rural sector. The car
manufacturing industry in Australia had high levels of protection in motor vehicles, with an effective
rate of protection, in excess of 200% and 57.5% ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With high salaries being offered overseas, highly skilled labour has been drawn from the Australia, as
the value of the Australian dollar is low. In recent decades, the Australian Government has been
moving Australia into the International market place, with ongoing structural reform taking place. The
reforms in include tariff, financial market, tax and labour market reforms, with enhancements of the
national competition policy and foreign investment rules. In the early 1980s the Australian tariffs used
to be high, with the import duty close to 60 per cent. However, the Motor Industry Development Plan
in 1984, led to a reduction in the tariff assistance. Therefore, meaning that the tariff rate on passenger
vehicles and parts declined by 2.5 percentage points each year during the year of 1988 until 2000, with
another reduction of 5 per cent in 2005. The treasury stated that the prime focus of reforms has been
subject to the private sector in Australia for more competition from both domestic and international
sources, but to improve the performance of public utilities. Financial traders, such as the car
manufacturing industry, rely on low inflation, low interest rates, low current account deficit, high
growth, budget surpluses and a small public sector, in order to make profits. However, Australia is

Last Man Standing Norman Collins
Who Norman Collins He was a soldier from Great Britain in World War I. He was born in a small
place called Hartlepool on the west coast of England. He was only eighteen years old when he
willingly left home to join the Battalion Seaforth Highlanders. At the age of nineteen on 18th October
1916 he left to France to go in to the battle. He had different jobs there, from the one that he was
supposed to get to the opponents trenches and drop and throw mill bombs, to the leader of a group of
people that buried dead bodies and sent letters to inform their families about their loss.
What The goal of this book is to present what the soldiers which survived went through in World War
I and make us understand and feel how they felt. This book has nine different chapters. The
composition of this book has three resources. One are the letters that Norman Collins sent to his
family, the second is him after so many years describing the parts he remembers and the third one are
the Editors notes which help us keep up with all the events that were happening and easier connect the
letters.
When World War I. The books starts by describing an attack that happened in Norman Collins
hometown on December 16th 1614 ( He was at age of 17). The main focus in the book is the time
from 1614 till 1917. But at the end he describes when he in 1989 came back to France with his son ( at
the age of 92)

Living in a Utopia This house believes that realised anarchy, as a political idea is the way to create a

Imagine a future utopia of our species: A global community of humanity, which will have overcome
the disunity of its primitive origin. A united human race, without boundaries dividing it against itself,
living harmoniously with itself and with all Nature. A new and truly intelligent species, liberated from

An enlightened and benevolent anarchism, such as expressed by the terms, anarcho pacifism / anarcho
socialism, is, in my view, the only anarchism that can ever work. To arrive at an anarcho pacifist /
anarcho socialist society, we as a global community must undergo great psychological transformation.
Only then can anarchism become a practical ideology for the world.
However, we as individuals need not wait for all humanity to find anarchy before we can have anarchy
for ourselves. We can manifest anarchy within our own circles of being, individually, here and now;
thus becoming individually liberated.
The anarchist truly has the best political deal. Whereas the fascist depends upon a fascist government
to have fascism, the state socialist upon a socialistic government to have socialism, the democrat upon
a democratic government to have democracy, and the libertarian capitalist upon a libertarian
government to have laissez faire capitalism, the anarchist can choose to have anarchy, here and now,
without any government.
Anarchy, the way I see it, is a personal choice, depending on nothing but one s own true will. If one
wants anarchy for oneself, one can have it, regardless of the political system society has. All the
anarchist needs to do

Pre-Litigation Research Paper
Pre Litigation: What Happens Before Filing a Lawsuit?
Going to court is usually the last step in a long process of trying to settle a dispute. There are usually
several steps taken before a lawsuit is even filed with the courts. These steps help both parties prepare
for the lawsuit. It also opens up opportunities to settle the dispute without the need to go to court.
Notice
When one party has a complaint or dispute with another party, the first step in the process is formal
notification. This often comes in the form of a notice letter sent by the injured party s attorney to the
other party, his attorney, and his insurance company. This notice outlines what the dispute is about. It
may also request information on insurance coverage, policy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net
...
The demand can take several forms. It may be a claim that goes to the other party s insurance
company. It may be a letter going straight to the other party demanding compensation for the injury.
The demand may be a simple letter or it may be a multi page document with copies of the information
gathered during the investigation.
Trying to Settle
The formal demand usually brings an opportunity to settle the case before filing suit. In many cases,
these settlement negotiations are informal, involving discussions between the attorneys, insurance
representatives, and clients. It may be a time when one party makes a settlement offer. Counteroffers
and settlement rejections can also happen.
More formal dispute resolution solutions are also available, including mediation. With mediation, a
neutral third party works with the injured party and the defendant to reach a negotiated settlement.
If a case cannot be settled, the next step is to file a formal lawsuit.

The Importance Of Screen Acting
Screen Acting Assignment.
There are many skills in the performing arts world, and as a professional actor, you will need to
acquire these skills in order to become the best actor you can be.
To start with, it is important that an actor follows the next two professional acting rules. The first rule
is to punctual. It is important to be punctual, as you may be needed on the set to perform or rehearse
lines before shooting. It could be argued that being punctual is one of the most important rules an
actor should follow, and without punctuality, an actor or performer won t be cast in performances or
hired. Therefore, punctuality is a key skill an actor should learn, with techniques helping to keep
punctuality. For example, setting multiple alarms, or resetting your sleep schedule have been proven to
help people maintain their punctuality.
The second rule is being professional. As an actor, you may be needed to inspire or empower others,
and by not acting professional or being immature, you are letting down your own work, the people
who got you where you are now, but you are also letting down yourself, in the sense that you aren t
living to your full potential. It could be argued that being professional increases the rate of
employability as casting agents will be more impressed with the attitude and behavior the actor is
expressing. Finally, it is important to act professional as you can promote respect, therefore losing the
lack of gender and sexual equality, and reducing the stigma around certain character roles.
You will need to learn about the specific techniques known as technical skills. An example of
technical skills would be stage left and stage right. These skills are the technical name for the sides of
a stage. Actors use this term as they believe it is a more technical and professional than the sides of a
stage. Therefore, the technical terms are skills that should be used on stage as it will make the actor
sound a lot more professional. It could be argued that knowing the technical terms stage left and stage
right allow the actor to act in a completely better manner, therefore resulting in acting and looking
more professional. Always remember that stage left and right are from the actor s point

Tragic Events During The Holocaust

because of their beliefs. This event has shaken Jewish religion and still had some after effects. Jews
say that the Holocaust is the most shattering event in history. Because, some of those Jews still alive
today still remember the killing hurt that were brought upon to their people. The Jews view this time
as the most painful time in their history.
There is no explanation to these tragic events; there are some theories. Like for example; maybe Hitler
was crazy and he hated the Jews. So he orderd them all to be killed. Some, say that they were Christ
killers and deserved to die. Raoul Hilberg wrote a book called; The Destruction of the European

Ethos And Pathos In Bernard Roth s The Achievement Habit
That s a goooooood reason (Roth 42). This is a quote from the second chapter of Bernard Roth s book,
The Achievement Habit. Mr. Roth, a professor at Stanford, effectively uses Aristotle s Rhetorical
Triangle containing ethos, pathos, and logos in chapter 2 of his book to show that reasons are bullshit.
Mr. Roth effectively has ethos in his book. Bernard Roth the Author of the book, The Achievement
Habit: Stop Wishing, Start Doing, And Take Command of Your Life, had multiple different example of
how he is a creditable source. Mr. Roth has been a professor and Standford for 52 years. While being a
professor, in 1996 he helped to design Designer in Society also known as d.school. The hope for the
program is to get students to think differently about how they can reach their goals in life. The
program is a pretty big deal, Wall Street Journal once called it the hottest graduate program. Bernard
Roth got his PhD in Mechanical engineering at Columbia, so he knows his stuff. Lastly, the final thing
that make him a creditable source is Roth was awarded the Honorary PhD from the University of
Paris. The University of Paris only award these Honorary PhD s to people who makes a contribution
to a specific field or to a society in general. Bernard Roth has ethos because he has many degrees and
achievements to back him up.
Second, Bernard Roth shows pathos, this mean emotion, when he says Love is the ultimate
unreasonable activity (Roth 50). This makes Roth sound heartless like he has no capacity for emotion.
Roth then goes into more details and explains that most times when we ask a person why they love
someone they go into a list of reasons, but if you look hard enough you could find all those qualities in
someone else. Some say loves is just a form of projection where you or I might call it fate. When Roth
says loves is unreasonable he is showing a lack of emotion which in it own shape is emotion. Bernard
Roth also says in chapter 2 of his book, Projection is a common response (Roth 47). When we are
guilty of doing something often times we will project it on to someone else. Say one of my friends has
a problem with telling the truth, they might think that everyone is always lying to them. This is how

The Value Of An Intermediate Data
The value to be used for updating the estimated value has been chosen as 181 (the value of range of
each subgroup) for the first iteration of the algorithm. The value of an intermediate data has been
taken as the range of each subgroup/ number of subgroup (181/6 = 30.16). That intermediate value
30.16 has been chosen as a change in temperature for the second iteration of algorithm. For third
iteration, the value (30.16/6) 5.02 has been considered as a change in temperature. Similarly for the
next iteration the value has been chosen as (5.02/6) 0.83 and so on. The value encoding is considered
as the data encoding and the (1/estimated error) of the data with the actual data is considered as a
fitness function
Step 2
The least square technique based on linear, exponential, asymptotic, curvilinear and logarithmic
equations has been applied on the available data to produce the estimated data. The error analysis has
been made to produce estimated error. It has been observed that average error based on least square
technique based on linear equation has shown the minimum error (2.25%) as compared to the other
models according to table 2. Therefore least square technique based linear equation has been chosen as
the best known solution.
Step 3
The updating of estimated data has been made based on the process of simulating annealing algorithm.
Initially, in the simulating annealing algorithm, high temperature values have to be considered for the
material and decrease in the

inviting her, who is currently orphaned, to live with them. She accepts gladly and a new life begins for
the four sisters. Koreeda proves once more that he is the contemporary master of the family drama,

Persuasive Fishing Outline
Introduction
With fishing industries advancing dramatically, fishing gear now consists of equipment such as large
nets and hooks to capture aquatic species at a much faster rate. But with such a large amount of fish
being captured daily and many more being thrown away, we are reducing food supply.
Thesis Statement: Advance in technology and fishing methods have made it easier to catch large
amounts of fish in a short amount of time; resulting in endangering fish species, reduce reproduction
rate, harm fish habitats, and reduce food supply for the future. II. Background Paragraph
For centuries we have relied on fishing as a means for food. Over the years we have developed new
methods of fishing and have enhanced our equipment to capture vast amounts of fish in a minimum
amount of time. We now have industrial fishing companies that provide for our seafood demand. As
we continue to capture large amounts of fish we begin to shorten supply for the future, reduce
reproduction rates, disrupt food chains, harm habitats, and drive species to extinction.
III. Paragraph I
Overfishing has been a major threat to ocean inhabitants. Fishing industries use harsh methods to fish
that unintentionally harm habitats or catch and kill fish that are untargeted. ... Show more content on

Promote Americans And Love For Our Country Analysis
What Can I Do to Promote Americans and Love for Our Country? Americanism is the attachment or
allegiance to the traditions, interests, or ideals of the United States, cited from the Merriam Webster. It
might seem like our country has a hard time coming together and bonding over Americanism,
especially since there are many shootings, as well as, riots going on in present day United States of
America. So the main question might be: how can we, the People of the United States of America,
unite and promote our love for our country.
United we stand, divided we fall, are a few words from our founding father, John Dickinson s song,
The Liberty Song. As proven through history, those six words describes how important unity is for our

Then God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the
fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every
creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him, and male and female he
created them.
So from the soil God fashioned all the wild beasts and birds of heaven. These he brought to man to see
what he would call them; each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jesus preached against racism and there are many other examples of this like in Genesis.
Baptist:
The kingdom of God knows no prejudice and no discrimination. In fact, it might be better to say that it
discriminates on favour of the poor, the weak and the marginalised. The Church therefore has the
responsibility to listen to these groups, to work with them and to support their attempts to improve
their own conditions.
The Baptist statement mirrors one of Jesus own teachings, the Beatitudes, one of which says: Happy
are those who are persecuted in the cause of right; theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Or Happy are you
when people abuse you and persecute you because of me and speak all kinds of calumny against you
on my account. The Baptist church says that they have a responsibility to help the poor and
persecuted. This is also like the Good Samaritan, or helping those less fortunate no matter what the
colour or creed.
Methodists
Whatever our skin colour or background, we are one in our common humanity and one in Christ. All
are equal before God. Adverse discrimination on the basis of or cultural characteristics contradicts our
common humanity and the Gospel. To judge anyone adversely solely on account of his or her
membership of a class or a racial group is to violate his or her status

The Case Of Brown V. Board Of Education
Education is a valuable service in society that strengthen a workforce, a nation and bring forth
awareness. Why should this be limited based on race or because of economic reasons, the quality
should represent where the schools are located, if they are public? The Public School system belongs
to society and those who contribute to what supports the education system. In choosing Brown v.
Board of Education, a case which continues to have a great impact to this day, taking into
consideration what was occurring at the time is how this case can be fathom. Today, equality is
flawed, but far from the injustices of the 50s. However, steps such as the case of Brown v. Board of
Education, others alike, and they were more than a court cases; the revolution needed for change. On
May 17, 1954, the Supreme Court issued its landmark Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka ruling,
which declared that racially segregated public schools were inherently unequal (The Learning
Network, 2012).
Without a doubt, in current times the public school s roster reflects the demographic makeup of its
neighborhoods; racial and culturally, and these are the results of economics, more than a racial
circumstance. That said, in continuing to change there will be more court cases on isolated
discrimination and beyond the school system to allow changes needed. Currently, being able to have
schools with diversity opens the minds of our youth to explore the world s culture, it provides early on
people to steer

The Treatment of Phobias Essay
Everyone in life has fears, it s a natural way our brains process certain objects or situations that may
be dangerous. Common fears may be heights or spiders; some would rationally go out of their way to
avoid these, but this is quite different from having a phobia. A phobia is an irrational distress with a
particular object or concept/idea. Although fears are well known now, they do not have to disrupt the
lives of those who are living them. Throughout the essay there will be three different treatments with
three different phobias in ways to cure a phobia; the first is a trauma focused treatment approach for
travel phobia, assessment and treatment for childhood phobias, and hypnosis in facilitating clinical
treatment of injections. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When introduced to in vivo exposure the patients showed an increase of PTSD symptoms (Handley,
Salkovskis, Ehlers, 2008). When performing the study 125 people received TF CBT, and the
remaining 59 received EMDR + in vivo exposure . In results there was a clear sign of reduction in
mild travel anxiety with up to 7.3 sessions. Although, there were found that one treatment would be
more beneficial than the other in terms of reduction of symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD.
Overall the signs of Travel Phobia and anxiety were reduced in both methods of treatments giving the
researchers plenty of evidence for being successful in a trauma focused treatment plan.
The study case of children phobia is not like others present before it, this case suggests that that to
decrease a phobia is should be multi method, multi informant, and developmentally sensitive. Another
aspect that differs from others is that it will assess the home living of children as well as their
caregivers. Their study examined predictors of treatment outcome for 106 phobic and anxious youth
(aged 6 to 17 years) and their parents. The treatment included trials such as: diagnostic interviewing,
fear survey schedules, anxiety questionnaires and behavioral observations. Taking methods from the
DSM IV C there are separate questionnaires for both parent and child on different phobia types
(animal, injection, and environment) on a scale from one to eight of interference. In traditional

New Horizons
The New Horizons mission was a groundbreaking feat for space exploration. From the building of the
New Horizons spacecraft to the Pluto flyby, it has made many advancements not only in astronomy,
but also engineering and physics. New Horizons was truly a spacecraft like no other, as well as the
most technologically advanced spacecraft to this date. In 1905, American astronomer Percival Lowell
first detected clues of Pluto s existence from unusual deviations he found in the orbits of Neptune and
Uranus. These unusual orbits meant that another celestial body s gravity was pulling Neptune and
Uranus from a distance. Lowell suspected of another planet pulling Neptune and Uranus. He went on
to become more and more interested in this supposed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It uncovered many mysteries of the universe. It aided in the calculation of the age of the universe,
provided evidence for the existence of black holes, and mapped dark matter for the first time. The
Hubble Space Telescope was launched on April 24, 1990. This was after about thirty years of planning
and building the Hubble. It has been worth it though, as Hubble has made 1.2 million observations of
our universe since it was launched. The telescope can see astronomical objects with a size of 0.05 arc
seconds, which is the equivalent of being able to see an object the size of a penny 6,773 miles away. It
also has the pointing accuracy of 0.007 arc seconds, which is the equivalent of being able to shine a
laser beam on a dime 200 miles away. At the time it was built, the Hubble Space Telescope was the
most technologically advanced invention ever. However, despite the Hubble Space Telescope being
able to explore most of our solar system and even being able to see a small amount outside of our
solar system, the best image that the Hubble Space Telescope ever got of Pluto was a pixelated and
blurry image. With this image, scientists were never able to understand much about Pluto from data
brought back from the Hubble Space

How Does Maya Angelou Relate To Racism
Maya Angelou and the Theme of Racism
Poems provide a new insight and portray many meanings. Maya Angelou, born in 1928, was a highly
achieved, versatile woman whom is an author, poet, dancer, and actress. In her poems and in life,
racism is integrated. This is seen in Angelou s familial and other life experiences, the literary devices
seen in Still I Rise, and the extension of the metaphor in Caged Bird.
Maya Angelou was born in St. Louis, MO and soon later moved to a segregated part of AK, known as
Stamps. This relocation was because of her parents divorce and Angelou was only 3 when it
happened. When this 7 year old girl was visiting her mother back in MO, she suffered at the hands of a
family associate (Maya Angelou Biography). According to Poetry Foundation, Maya was raped by her
mother s boyfriend. As a result of this crime , Maya s uncles killed this man. This man was able to be
killed because seeing Angelou was black, this man only received a one day sentence for the rape. This
time, 1930 s, was still a time for racism. As a child, these traumatic events caused ... Show more

an extended metaphor, according to Caged Bird by Maya Angelou: Interpretive Essay Swanierenglish.
The whole poem centers around the concept that the free bird are the white people, while the caged
bird are the African Americans. This is supported by the actual poem, provided by AfroPoets, The
whites can practically do whatever they want as they dare to claim the sky. The blacks wings are
clipped meaning they cannot do much because of their race. This poem portrays the attitudes of
African American s general experiences during the Civil Rights era (Caged Bird by Maya Angelou:

Hormones And Its Effects On Prescription Drugs
After having their first child, many women experience hormone imbalance and struggle to get that
normal feeling again. Let s start with what a hormone is. Hormones are a chemical substance that
voyage through your bloodstream stimulating cells and tissues into action. Hormones are produced by
the endocrine glands and are our body s dispatchers. It only takes a minuscule amount of hormones to
make enormous changes in the body. Hormone imbalance can cause symptoms like depression, acne,
fatigue, endometriosis, and insomnia. These are just some of the symptoms I experienced after having
my son. After talking to my doctor, I had two options; I could take artificial hormones or I could try to
change my diet and take vitamins to get my body to regulate its own hormones. After researching both
treatments, I found out that each had their benefits. Artificial Hormones perform quicker than diet and
vitamins. Artificial hormones can induce a dependency on prescription drugs and have serious side
effects. Diet and vitamins can benefit other divisions of your body. It was a tough choice because I
wanted to feel better immediately, but I also wanted to make the healthiest choice for my body. Time
was a sensitive issue when it came to my choice of treatment. Treating hormone imbalance is a time
consuming process either way. It requires many checkups with your doctor. During each doctor visit,
you will have blood tests to check your hormone levels. At that point, your doctor will

A Research On Organic And Chemical Essay
Organic and chemical are both antagonistic words, and both are rivals to say in the horticulture and
agriculture industries, as one of the words invokes a sense of greenery and meadows while the other
hinders to synthetic mixtures and various concoctions in a sterilized environment. What organic
fertilizers means is that they are minimally processed, in which the nutrients are sourced in their
natural form. Most of these sources are made from plant waste, animal wastes, and powdered
materials such as glacial rock dust and bone meal. On the other hand, chemical fertilizers are refined
nutrients from extracts that are mixed with chemical dressings to create a specific ratio. Chemical
fertilizers are made from petroleum products, certain rocks, and also from organic sources.
100 years ago a lone chemist, Fritz Haber, discovered ammonia synthesis, a process in which Fritz
used a sheet of osmium inside a steel chamber, flowing with nitrogen and hydrogen gas, and packed
with pressure and enormous heat, created ammonia. Fritz was a genius, and he discovered something
many scientists had been frantically researching for years, the idea of turning nitrogen gas, which was
abundant in the atmosphere, into a physical form in which plants can take up as nutrients. The advent
rise of chemical fertilizers has brought humans many great harvests in the turn of the last century. It
has given the ability for agriculture to sustain and feed humanity at an ever more increasing rate, from

own, Plath had dealt with years of depression, deeply rooted in her strong ambition to be perfect and

Sylvia as having had a sort of natural excellence at whatever she turned her hand to. If she wrote an
essay it was effortlessly good... her very remarkable efficiency was also very natural to her and was
never accompanied by any sense of strain (Wagner Martin 141). Plath strived to seem naturally
perfect, and this description easily translated into the character of Esther Greenwood, who is the main
character of the novel and whom readers follow along on her journey to insanity. Esther Greenwood is

This is what society saw as their mental illness, but the real suffering they experienced is reflected the
same way their mentalities are. Esther s breakdown, for example, is precipitated by the discovery of an
inner deathliness concealed under the glossy surface of New York and her own compulsive drive to
achievement (Harris). The process of this is lengthy, whereas with Sylvia it seems to happen all at
once, which is the only difference between them. Plath s discovery of her inner deathliness being
concealed under a perfect New York life happened in May of 1953, where she wrote New York: Pain,
parties, work... Carol vomiting outside the door all over the floor and interviews for TV shows, and
competition, and beautiful models... (Hughes 87). She began to realize how her high expectations had
ruined her trip, and how her mental illness was feeding off of the life she was living, which, like
Esther, causes her to go back home in July more depressed than when she left. Other characters,

Corruption Of The American Dream In The Great Gatsby
The Corrupted American Dream The American Dream is an inspiration to many people. To live out
the American Dream is what once was on the minds of many Americans and still is to this day. In The
Great Gatsby, the American Dream was presented as a corrupted version of what used to be a pure and
honest ideal way to live. The idea that the American Dream was about the wealth and the possessions
one had was ingrained, somehow, into the minds of Americans during the 1920 s. As a result of the
distortion of the American Dream, the characters of F. Scott Fitzgerald s novel, The Great Gatsby
lived life believing in the American Dream, as a distorted one. The American Dream gave them
something to fight for. This was a chance to climb above their previous generation in terms of the
social ladder. Even though it was superficial, Gatsby s outlook on life was something that could be
labeled as optimistic. Although Gatsby s intentions were good he remained ignorant to the truth
around him. Gatsby believed that if he worked hard he would overcome the poverty of his early life
and he did just that. Gatsby though, did not strive to become a better man or a man with money for
himself, but rather for Daisy. Gatsby threw around large amounts of money as if it was nothing in an
attempt to win the heart of Daisy. He even threw incredibly lavish parties in hope that Daisy would
one day attend. He thought this would give him the chance to win her love. Gatsby truly believes that

The Australian Television Industry
Technological advances have made a significant impact on the television industry in Australia. While
new technology encourages the TV networks to improve the local content to satisfy the demanding
young audience, it also scatters the audience into different media platforms and drives them away
from traditional TV broadcasts. The first part of this essay will analyze the current trends in the
Australia television industry. As the audience tends to spend more time on the Internet interacting with
the live TV programs and watching videos content, the commercial TV networks still broadcast
quality local content to attract the audience. The second part will address major challenges that
television industry is facing and how particular companies including Optus and Channel Nine cope
with this hardship. These challenges mainly emerge from the development of the streaming video on
demand services. The final part will discuss the future of the free to air television in Australia as the
audience keeps fragmented.
Audiences start using new media technology to share their thoughts about the live broadcasting of
television programs. The television industry understands the audiences desires for interaction,
therefore developing media platforms for viewers to start online conversations and share comments
about certain TV shows. The most popular social media platform of which TV companies take
advantage is Twitter as this is illustrated by the explosion of Tweets relating to TV programs

Essay on Perception in Mary Shelly´s Frankenstein
Perception; The ability to see, hear or become aware of something through the senses.
In Marry Shelly s Frankenstein, perception plays a key part in the monsters icy demise. Not only is the
story affected by how the villagers perceive the monster, but the readers perception, like in any literary
work, plays the role of ultimate judge. Most responses to Frankenstein are derived directly from pop
culture. The green dude with bolts, right? or Oh yeah... I love Frankenberry cereal! Soon, they ll

If the creature were to be asked questions such as Who are you? What are you? Where do you come
from? he would be hard pressed for an answer. However, there are certain subtle clues in the text to
point to the Creature possibly being of the Mongolian/Asian race using the th Century descriptions of
man.
UCLA professor Anne K. Mellor points to the Creature s Mongolian race by noting that at the
beginning of the novel, Walton and his men have set off on their voyage to China by way of the North
Pole.
Mary Shelley describes this newborn giant as having yellow skin, black and flowing hair, the dun
white or light grey brown of both irises of his eyes and sockets. The Creature is definitely not
Caucasian, nor is he the same race as his maker. Even the character known as Walton notices the
difference in appearance between Victor and the traveller preceding him, as he notes Victor was not as
the other traveller seemed to be, a savage inhabitant of some undisclosed island, but an European.
When the monster meets Frankenstein for the first true meeting in the novel, he steals away the
scientist and takes him to his cave where he has stayed. He tells him the story of his

Marketing For The Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, And...
Marketing for the Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, and Female Harley Davidson riders
Today s marketer must take into consideration many generational differences when considering a
marketing strategy for a product. Most products are intended for a massive audience, requiring the
marketer to utilize an integrated marketing scheme to encompass all generations. Specialized
products, being marketed to a specific sector, also have a unique opportunity to market directly to a
target audience. Being aware of the differences in marketing to mass audiences and the targeting of
specific groups, is a valuable arrow in the quiver of a marketer. Comparing the differences in the older
generations gives the marketer an insight into how to mass market, while targeting the groups as a
whole. There is also an interesting opportunity for the marketer to target a very specific group for
specialized products. While the job of the marketer remains the same, the methodology must be
different to reach the intended audiences.
The Silent Generation
The silent generation consists of those born between 1928 and 1945. This group grew up during the
Great Depression and World War II. These two major facts helped to shape the attitudes and habits of
the generation. This sector of the population encompasses approximately fifty five million consumers,
the majority being retirees with great amounts of savings. Due to the fact they grew up during The
Great Depression, has led to a very

Taking a Look at the Great Recession
Many economists have come to consider the 2008 financial crisis as the worst recession since the
1930 s Great Depression. The recession led to the total collapse of financial institutions, the
withdrawal of banks by the national governments and the total collapse of stock markets across the
world. The housing market also suffered in many areas, which resulted in prolonged unemployment,
evictions and foreclosures. The crisis played a key role in the failure of significant businesses, the
decline in the wealth of consumers, estimated in trillions of American dollars, a downturn in economic
activities and the debt crisis of the European countries. On 9 August 2007, the Banque National de
Paris (BNP), a French bank and financial company whose global headquarters are located in London,
stopped withdrawals from three hedge funds citing a total evaporation of liquidity. This marked the
beginning of the active phase of the crisis. In 2007, the bursting of the housing bubble of the U.S was
at its peak. The bursting resulted in plummeting of security values tied to the U.S. real estate pricing.
The complex interplay of policies that provided easier lending of loans, overpricing of sub prime
mortgages, on a theoretical basis that the prices would continue to increase, and inadequate capital
holdings from insurance companies and banks to back their financial commitments contributed to the
bursting of the bubble (Boatright, 2010). During 2008, securities suffered huge losses due to

Emotional Detachment in Soldier s Home Essay
A photo of Krebs during World War I shows him with a corporal and two German girls on the Rhine
River. One s first thought of this picture may be of a lighthearted sightseeing trip on leave from the
front. However, in the photograph, Krebs and the other corporal are described as too big for their
uniforms, the German girls as not beautiful, and the Rhine does not even appear in the photograph
(154). This is how Ernest Hemingway begins Soldier s Home, the story of a young war veteran named
Harold Krebs who has recently returned home. Everything that Krebs says and does is to make his life
as smooth and have as few complications as possible, more than likely a stark contrast to his life in
Europe.
Krebs is a detached being who ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He would like to have a girl, but doesn t want to go through the trouble of getting one. He feels that he
would need to lie to get one, and he doesn t want to lie anymore. He preferred the girls abroad, where
the language barrier took the politics and courting out of the picture, making things as simple as
possible.
Krebs lives a simple life in a simple town, and he wants to keep it that way. The war was complicated
enough, and now Krebs just wants to live without complications, commitments, or consequences. He
did not want any consequences ever again. He wanted to live alone without consequences (155).
Although this wish seems simple enough, breakfast at the Krebs family table will prove otherwise.
Krebs sister starts a conversation about indoor baseball that quickly becomes a conversation about
whether or not Krebs really loves his sister. We first see Krebs emotional detachment in his replies to
her eager questions about love between his sister and himself you bet, I don t know, sure, uh huh, and
maybe (157). During breakfast, his mother also mentions that she would like him to start working and
find a nice girl, and his father is willing to let him take out the family car to do so, but these actions
would only complicate his lifestyle. Krebs can hardly pay any attention at the breakfast table as his
mother talks about how much she has worried about him and prayed for him. He even

Barbara Strauch s The Primal Teenage
People groan as they find out I teach high school, voicing their lack of understanding the teenagers in
their own lives. Admittedly, I love the mind of teenagers and quickly tell people of my joy to teach
this age group. After reading The Primal Teen by Barbara Strauch, I now have language and terms for
what I see happen in my classroom. I find myself reflecting on my own years of adolescence as I learn
how to navigate this period in their lives on the seemingly forgotten self spectrum. As I read about the
changes of the teen brain, from developing prefrontal lobes to the growth of dendrites and the pruning
process to the lack of impulse control, I am often more impressed with the exuberance of the teenage
brain.

Molly s folder or binder will have papers sticking out showing her lack of organization. She will want
to volunteer to read to the class but her excitement and anxiety will make her misspeak and stutter in
ways that do not occur in normal emotional tirades. Everyday I try to build her up, as I know of the
struggles she has in the world besides adolescences and yet she will still manage to exacerbate my
compassion with yet another excuse that leaves her blameless. Molly is a dramatic example in the
world of adolescents. She will narrate stories that demonstrate how her prefrontal lobe is not helping
her to plan, is not stopping her from reacting, is off duty from keeping her in line and that her
emotions control her interactions from the bus to the cafeteria, from the hallway to my classroom.
Strauch s book helps me to understand that Molly is dealing with so much more than I am able to
observe. I can understand the pressure of figuring out how to belong, of self esteem issues and fragile
emotions but new to my understanding are the changes that are occurring in her brain with the growth
of synapse connections, the pruning of neurons and the development of the prefrontal lobe which add

  • 2. Martin Luther s Impact On The Catholic Church This essay will be about the changes that were made prior to the Reformation. Martin Luther was one of the main people who had made a significant impact for the Catholic Church that changed many people s lives for the better. Some people didn t agree with what Martin Luther s actions, or what he had to say. Many people also loved what he did, and they are still thanking him today. These changes and important factors that will be explained throughout the essay. The 95 These was the most significant impacts that Martin Luther had made. The 95 Theses were written in 1517 and it challenged the teachings and the indulgences of the catholic Church at the time (Theopedia.com, 2016). Martin Luther felt as though that the Church officials were teaching the public that they could literally buy their way into the kingdom of God (GotQuestions.org, 2016), for example some people truly believed that if you bought something like a piece of paper, it was like a ticket straight into heaven. He nailed the 95 Theses on the gate of the Wittenberg Church, this caught people s attention and shortly enough it started a theological debate; this then lead to the Reformation. The 96 Theses got people thinking, and agreeing with what Martin Luther had to say. He strongly disagreed with the fact that people were being punished/abused for indulging and/or sinning. The 95 Theses created a full Reformation of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The 95 Theses were distributed throughout Germany and then they made their way to Rome. The Pope declared that Martin Luther should disown the 95 These, Luther didn t go through with this and the Pope sent interrogators to Martin Luther, and he was charged with heresy, just for his opinions about the Catholic Church at the time. • 3. Rip Van Winkle s Embodiment Of Freedom Rip Van Winkle is the very embodiment of freedom, a very unsightly version of freedom but freedom nonetheless. Running through the story, it is learned that Rip Van Winkle is a lazy and unproductive member of society. He doesn t do any beneficial work for his family, his terribly passive behavior rubbed off of on his son, and so forth. Even then, he s still being terrorized by various kinds of tyrannical powers: the tyranny of marriage (his very uptight wife, Dame Van Winkle, nags on him a lot), the tyranny of social expectations (a man in his prime is expected to do something beneficial), and the tyranny of government (he is under direct rule of King George III). Thankfully, a magical nap solved all of these issues. With him sleeping through ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Cultural Imperialism And The United States During my time in Guatemala, I believe that the social issues I came in the most contact with were hegemony and cultural imperialism, or in other words, the influence the United States has over Guatemala. No matter where I was, whether it be the streets of the small town of San Miguel or the larger, more developed city of Guatemala City, I could not help but notice how much of an impact the United States has. Throughout the course of a month we learned a lot about the root causes of poverty America as a hegemon through both readings and discussion. The footprint the U.S. has left in Guatemala was apparent not only while reading and learning about the history of Latin America, but while visiting the country itself. In addition, we had the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As you walk or drive through Guatemala, you are sure to see countless billboards, much like in the U.S. Being from the U.S., this seems completely normal. The signs even looked very similar. When I took a closer look at the signs, I noticed why they looked so similar. There were American models on the signs. In particular, I noticed a blonde haired woman on the front of a billboard advertising shampoo. I also noticed American women on billboards advertising jeans and beer. When looking into bars I saw calendars with American women as well. It was impossible not to notice the influence that the U.S. had not only on methods of advertising, but also on the images used. In addition to noticing the U.S. hegemon while on the streets of Guatemala, I also noticed it while living with the people. While staying with host families, we were given the opportunity to take in an entirely different culture or so we thought. Even though living amongst Guatemalans was a very new experience, it was also very evident that the U.S. had impacted the traditional Guatemalan way of life. The first thing that I noticed while living with my host family was the way they dressed. My host parents wore what can be considered as traditional clothing. They had not let any outside influence impact their decision in clothing. However, my host siblings we not mirroring their parents. • 5. Italy Silvio Berlusconi Research Paper In our country currently, corruption is a topic highly discussed among the people of America. People believe that corruption costed them, the most recent Presidential election. Some say corruption in our government caused them to go out make their voices heard by voting for someone who preached of cleaning up Washington, D.C.. But across the Atlantic Ocean there are problems of their own evolving rapidly, more specifically in Italy. Is the reason Italy s so corrupt, do to the fact wealthy people will do to all their best to effect outcome? History has showed us that corruption can run rabbid through the world, take a look at Africa. The only thing about corruption that has evolved since the first idea of it was conceived is the fact it s dipped its toe into fraud, embezzlement, theft, bribes, and kickbacks. Silvio used his social enterprise to help him rise to the highest political achievement you can have in Italy, along the way he made horrific mistakes that eventual would be the end of him. The Mafia started as basically a bodyguard for your land before Italy was even established as a country. Since then they hit a point of decline but eventually rose to unimaginable strength. Would weave its way in between the cracks of the Italian government. So when i ask the question of, is the reason Italy s so corrupt, do to the fact wealthy people will do to all their best to effect outcome? I don t believe it s just these things contributing to the demise of the Italian government, but the mindset, the moral of the Italian people. They know that half their government is not for the people but or themselves. And they don t do anything about it. In America the authenticity of our government came under fire, so the people of America decided to attack the situation and elect a person who claims to clean up the government. • 6. Pros And Cons Of Video Games The world of virtual reality is loved by people who are fan of video games. However, the main victims to get so deeply absorbed in this kind of world are children (as young as 7 years old). It is easy for young minds to become addicted to something they are possibly not yet ready for; especially screens and consoles. Video games are not good for kids since it isolates them from real life, could encourage violent behaviors and ideas, and chips away at their social skills. Children could spend the whole day sitting in one place and be perfectly happy with a device. A major con is that the majority of them become unaware of their surroundings because the children might be too hypnotized by what is being held in their hands. Most children are quite easy to entertain, but entertainment should not be provided by video games. When he or she becomes addicted to video games and accustomed to a style of this kind of entertainment, they probably would favor staying in one place on their electronics instead of experiencing real life. Childhood is when kids are slowly learning the differences between reality and fantasy. If a child is not mature enough, and if he or she is exposed to video games at that age, then it might be difficult for them to differentiate fantasy from reality. Fantasy is usually fun, so a child might rather believe that what they see in a video game will happen in real life. Kids are like sponges, so when they take in all of what they see into their minds, it s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Effective Communication For The Workplace Someone once said great communication is a skill that is needed in life. I believe great communication can take an individual very far in life. Effective communication helps connect with people. It can open many doors for many jobs. It lets the employer know whom they have hired, and how intelligent the person really is. In the business profession, effective communication enables managers to give understandable instructions to their employees. Effective communication will help state what is expected from workers. I believe effective communication can be used in all aspects of the workplace. First, Susan Adams from Forbes wrote Good grammar is important in life. Using correct grammar in the workplace shows the intelligence of the worker. It also shows how well thoughts are put together before speaking. Using good grammar can also show employers that an employee can accomplish other tasks on the job no matter what it is. For example the employee can be asked to give a formal speech because the employer trusts that the employee will use the right language when talking. Good grammar also shows the company that the employee cares about his personal image, the company image, and that s what makes the company stand out from other companies. Good grammar shows who the person is, for example what type of establishment have they grown up around. It also shows what type of people the company hires (Adams). An enlightened and benevolent anarchism, such as expressed by the terms, anarcho pacifism / anarcho socialism, is, in my view, the only anarchism that can ever work. To arrive at an anarcho pacifist / anarcho socialist society, we as a global community must undergo great psychological transformation. Only then can anarchism become a practical ideology for the world. However, we as individuals need not wait for all humanity to find anarchy before we can have anarchy for ourselves. We can manifest anarchy within our own circles of being, individually, here and now; thus becoming individually liberated. The anarchist truly has the best political deal. Whereas the fascist depends upon a fascist government to have fascism, the state socialist upon a socialistic government to have socialism, the democrat upon a democratic government to have democracy, and the libertarian capitalist upon a libertarian government to have laissez faire capitalism, the anarchist can choose to have anarchy, here and now, without any government. Anarchy, the way I see it, is a personal choice, depending on nothing but one s own true will. If one wants anarchy for oneself, one can have it, regardless of the political system society has. • 13. Pre-Litigation Research Paper Pre Litigation: What Happens Before Filing a Lawsuit? Going to court is usually the last step in a long process of trying to settle a dispute. There are usually several steps taken before a lawsuit is even filed with the courts. These steps help both parties prepare for the lawsuit. It also opens up opportunities to settle the dispute without the need to go to court. Notice When one party has a complaint or dispute with another party, the first step in the process is formal notification. Trying to Settle The formal demand usually brings an opportunity to settle the case before filing suit. In many cases, these settlement negotiations are informal, involving discussions between the attorneys, insurance representatives, and clients. It may be a time when one party makes a settlement offer. Counteroffers and settlement rejections can also happen. More formal dispute resolution solutions are also available, including mediation. • 14. The Importance Of Screen Acting Screen Acting Assignment. There are many skills in the performing arts world, and as a professional actor, you will need to acquire these skills in order to become the best actor you can be. To start with, it is important that an actor follows the next two professional acting rules. The first rule is to punctual. It is important to be punctual, as you may be needed on the set to perform or rehearse lines before shooting. It could be argued that being punctual is one of the most important rules an actor should follow, and without punctuality, an actor or performer won t be cast in performances or hired. Therefore, punctuality is a key skill an actor should learn, with techniques helping to keep punctuality. For example, setting multiple alarms, or resetting your sleep schedule have been proven to help people maintain their punctuality. The second rule is being professional. As an actor, you may be needed to inspire or empower others, and by not acting professional or being immature, you are letting down your own work, the people who got you where you are now, but you are also letting down yourself, in the sense that you aren t living to your full potential. It could be argued that being professional increases the rate of employability as casting agents will be more impressed with the attitude and behavior the actor is expressing. Finally, it is important to act professional as you can promote respect, therefore losing the lack of gender and sexual equality, and reducing the stigma around certain character roles. You will need to learn about the specific techniques known as technical skills. An example of technical skills would be stage left and stage right. These skills are the technical name for the sides of a stage. Actors use this term as they believe it is a more technical and professional than the sides of a stage. Therefore, the technical terms are skills that should be used on stage as it will make the actor sound a lot more professional. It could be argued that knowing the technical terms stage left and stage right allow the actor to act in a completely better manner, therefore resulting in acting and looking more professional. Always remember that stage left and right are from the actor s point ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 16. Ethos And Pathos In Bernard Roth s The Achievement Habit That s a goooooood reason (Roth 42). This is a quote from the second chapter of Bernard Roth s book, The Achievement Habit. Mr. Roth, a professor at Stanford, effectively uses Aristotle s Rhetorical Triangle containing ethos, pathos, and logos in chapter 2 of his book to show that reasons are bullshit. Mr. Roth effectively has ethos in his book. Bernard Roth the Author of the book, The Achievement Habit: Stop Wishing, Start Doing, And Take Command of Your Life, had multiple different example of how he is a creditable source. Mr. Roth has been a professor and Standford for 52 years. While being a professor, in 1996 he helped to design Designer in Society also known as d.school. The hope for the program is to get students to think differently about how they can reach their goals in life. The program is a pretty big deal, Wall Street Journal once called it the hottest graduate program. Bernard Roth got his PhD in Mechanical engineering at Columbia, so he knows his stuff. Lastly, the final thing that make him a creditable source is Roth was awarded the Honorary PhD from the University of Paris. The University of Paris only award these Honorary PhD s to people who makes a contribution to a specific field or to a society in general. Bernard Roth has ethos because he has many degrees and achievements to back him up. Second, Bernard Roth shows pathos, this mean emotion, when he says Love is the ultimate unreasonable activity (Roth 50). This makes Roth sound heartless like he has no capacity for emotion. Roth then goes into more details and explains that most times when we ask a person why they love someone they go into a list of reasons, but if you look hard enough you could find all those qualities in someone else. Some say loves is just a form of projection where you or I might call it fate. When Roth says loves is unreasonable he is showing a lack of emotion which in it own shape is emotion. Bernard Roth also says in chapter 2 of his book, Projection is a common response (Roth 47). When we are guilty of doing something often times we will project it on to someone else. Say one of my friends has a problem with telling the truth, they might think that everyone is always lying to them. This is how ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The value encoding is considered as the data encoding and the (1/estimated error) of the data with the actual data is considered as a fitness function Step 2 The least square technique based on linear, exponential, asymptotic, curvilinear and logarithmic equations has been applied on the available data to produce the estimated data. The error analysis has been made to produce estimated error. It has been observed that average error based on least square technique based on linear equation has shown the minimum error (2.25%) as compared to the other models according to table 2. Therefore least square technique based linear equation has been chosen as the best known solution. Step 3 The updating of estimated data has been made based on the process of simulating annealing algorithm. When their estranged father dies, they travel to the country to attend his funeral, where they meet an adolescent half sister, Suzu. A deep bond is quickly formed between them and results in inviting her, who is currently orphaned, to live with them. She accepts gladly and a new life begins for the four sisters. Koreeda proves once more that he is the contemporary master of the family drama, directing a film that is genuinely Japanese in its themes, pace and characters. • 19. Persuasive Fishing Outline Introduction With fishing industries advancing dramatically, fishing gear now consists of equipment such as large nets and hooks to capture aquatic species at a much faster rate. But with such a large amount of fish being captured daily and many more being thrown away, we are reducing food supply. Thesis Statement: Advance in technology and fishing methods have made it easier to catch large amounts of fish in a short amount of time; resulting in endangering fish species, reduce reproduction rate, harm fish habitats, and reduce food supply for the future. II. Background Paragraph For centuries we have relied on fishing as a means for food. Over the years we have developed new methods of fishing and have enhanced our equipment to capture vast amounts of fish in a minimum amount of time. We now have industrial fishing companies that provide for our seafood demand. As we continue to capture large amounts of fish we begin to shorten supply for the future, reduce reproduction rates, disrupt food chains, harm habitats, and drive species to extinction. III. Paragraph I Overfishing has been a major threat to ocean inhabitants. Fishing industries use harsh methods to fish that unintentionally harm habitats or catch and kill fish that are untargeted. ... Let s start with what a hormone is. Hormones are a chemical substance that voyage through your bloodstream stimulating cells and tissues into action. Hormones are produced by the endocrine glands and are our body s dispatchers. It only takes a minuscule amount of hormones to make enormous changes in the body. Hormone imbalance can cause symptoms like depression, acne, fatigue, endometriosis, and insomnia. These are just some of the symptoms I experienced after having my son. After talking to my doctor, I had two options; I could take artificial hormones or I could try to change my diet and take vitamins to get my body to regulate its own hormones. After researching both treatments, I found out that each had their benefits. Artificial Hormones perform quicker than diet and vitamins. Artificial hormones can induce a dependency on prescription drugs and have serious side effects. Diet and vitamins can benefit other divisions of your body. It was a tough choice because I wanted to feel better immediately, but I also wanted to make the healthiest choice for my body. Time was a sensitive issue when it came to my choice of treatment. What organic fertilizers means is that they are minimally processed, in which the nutrients are sourced in their natural form. Most of these sources are made from plant waste, animal wastes, and powdered materials such as glacial rock dust and bone meal. On the other hand, chemical fertilizers are refined nutrients from extracts that are mixed with chemical dressings to create a specific ratio. Chemical fertilizers are made from petroleum products, certain rocks, and also from organic sources. 100 years ago a lone chemist, Fritz Haber, discovered ammonia synthesis, a process in which Fritz used a sheet of osmium inside a steel chamber, flowing with nitrogen and hydrogen gas, and packed with pressure and enormous heat, created ammonia. To live out the American Dream is what once was on the minds of many Americans and still is to this day. In The Great Gatsby, the American Dream was presented as a corrupted version of what used to be a pure and honest ideal way to live. The idea that the American Dream was about the wealth and the possessions one had was ingrained, somehow, into the minds of Americans during the 1920 s. As a result of the distortion of the American Dream, the characters of F. Scott Fitzgerald s novel, The Great Gatsby lived life believing in the American Dream, as a distorted one. The American Dream gave them something to fight for. This was a chance to climb above their previous generation in terms of the social ladder. The recession led to the total collapse of financial institutions, the withdrawal of banks by the national governments and the total collapse of stock markets across the world. The housing market also suffered in many areas, which resulted in prolonged unemployment, evictions and foreclosures. The crisis played a key role in the failure of significant businesses, the decline in the wealth of consumers, estimated in trillions of American dollars, a downturn in economic activities and the debt crisis of the European countries.
