A PVC backing on one surface of the cloth ensures the material is completely waterproof, while hydrophilic fibres (Polyethylene and Polypropylene yarns) on the opposite surface aid hydration by drawing water into the mixture. The material can be hydrated either by spraying or by being fully immersed in water. It can be easily nailed, stapled through or coated with an adhesive for easy attachment to other surfaces. Once set, the fibres reinforce the concrete, preventing crack propagation & providing a safe plastic failure mode. A well designed and constructed floor will increase productivity, reduce maintenance of the building and increase the life of the equipment using the floor. Industrial floor slab has common requirements of high strength, toughness, crack control and durability among others. Most of the industrial floors are constructed using the conventional grade slab where reliance is only on the strength of concrete, and reinforcement is used only for crack control and shrinkage. The use of steel fibres in concrete is advantageous over conventional grade slab wherein the residual load carrying capacity of fibres is used and thus, increases the strength and toughness and gives economy in floor thickness apart from saving in construction time. This paper gives an insight into the advantages of steel fibre reinforced concrete in industrial floors. This work is based on structural design experience of the authors in steel fibre reinforced concrete floor slab for industrial projects and in particular the project recently completed for a food and beverage industry. Erosion behavior of the High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) deposited CrC - NiCr coating on stainless steel was evaluated. Th e solid particle erosion stu dy was conducted using an air jet erosion test rig at a velocity 60m/sec and impingement angle 60 ° , 75 ° and 90 ° , on HVOF spray coated steel at 600 ° C. Microstructure, chemical composition, phases present in the coating on the steel substrate was studied by using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and X - Ray Diffraction method. The Hardness is gradually increasing with increasing content of Cr 3 C 2 particles in all three samples. Most of the industrial floors are constructed using the conventional grade slab where reliance is only on the strength of concrete, and reinforcement is used only for crack control and shrinkage. The use of steel fibres in concrete is advantageous over conventional grade slab wherein the residual load carrying capacity of fibres is used and thus, increases the strength and toughness and gives economy in floor thickness apart from saving in construction time. This paper gives an insight into the advantages of steel fibre reinforced concrete in industrial floors. This work is based on structural design experience of the authors in steel fibre reinforced concrete floor slab for industrial projects and in particular the project recently completed for a food and beverage industry. Microstructure, chemical composition, phases present in the coating on the steel substrate was studied by using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and X - Ray Diffraction method. The Hardness is gradually increasing with increasing content of Cr 3 C 2 particles in all three samples. The coating with larger WC particle size (45-90μm) exhibited the lowest wear rate, indicating improved wear resistance with larger WC particle size. SEM of the worn surfaces showed grooves, pulled out particles and cracks formed during wear testing.

Problem associated with MMCs is that they are very difficult to machine and quality of machining specially surface finish due to the hardness and abrasive nature of Carbide particles. Characteristics of machined surfaces are known to influence the product performance significantly since they are directly linked to the ability of the material to withstand stresses, temperature, friction and corrosion. This paper presents an experimental work on the analysis of machined surface quality on 6063 Al/TiC metal matrix composites with PCD insert in hard turning leading to Response surface methodology based model to predict the surface roughness.

Metal matrix composites (MMCs) have a potential for enhanced wear conflict in
excess of the unreinforced aluminum alloy and are the most capable in achieving
enhanced mechanical properties. In the present investigation, composites of Aluminum
6061(Al6061) matrix material is reinforced with micron size Silicon carbide (μSiC)
reinforcement with 5, 10 and 15 weight percentages (wt.%) and nano size SiC (nSiC)
with 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 wt.% are fabricated by stir casting technique. The stir casted
composites are further heat treated and the specimens are prepared as per ASTM
standards to conduct hardness and wear tests. The fabricated and heat treated nano
composites showed enhancement in hardness and wear resistance more than the micro
composites. The microstructure of the worn out specimen are examined by scanning
electron microscope. Taking into contemplation all the factors, it can be concluded that
aluminum based composite with 1.0% by weight nano SiC reinforcement acquire
superior wear resistance properties as compared to micro SiC reinforced aluminum
metal matrix composites.

DEEP LEARNING FOR SMART GRID INTRUSION DETECTION: A HYBRID CNN-LSTM-BASED MODEL
As digital technology becomes more deeply embedded in power systems, protecting the communication
networks of Smart Grids (SG) has emerged as a critical concern. Distributed Network Protocol 3 (DNP3)
represents a multi-tiered application layer protocol extensively utilized in Supervisory Control and Data
Acquisition (SCADA)-based smart grids to facilitate real-time data gathering and control functionalities.
Robust Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are necessary for early threat detection and mitigation because
of the interconnection of these networks, which makes them vulnerable to a variety of cyberattacks. To
solve this issue, this paper develops a hybrid Deep Learning (DL) model specifically designed for intrusion
detection in smart grids. The proposed approach is a combination of the Convolutional Neural Network
(CNN) and the Long-Short-Term Memory algorithms (LSTM). We employed a recent intrusion detection
dataset (DNP3), which focuses on unauthorized commands and Denial of Service (DoS) cyberattacks, to
train and test our model. The results of our experiments show that our CNN-LSTM method is much better
at finding smart grid intrusions than other deep learning algorithms used for classification. In addition,
our proposed approach improves accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score, achieving a high detection
accuracy rate of 99.50%.

AI based model home security system. The system has a user-friendly interface, allowing users to start

Specialization of this application is that the user will not have to register on sign-in for
searching the blood banks and blood donors it can be just done by installing the
application to the mobile.
The purpose of making this application is to save the user’s time for searching blood of
needed blood group during the time of the emergency.
This is an android application developed in Java and XML with the connectivity of
SQLite database. This application will provide most of basic functionality required for an
emergency time application. All the details of Blood banks and Blood donors are stored
in the database i.e. SQLite.
This application allowed the user to get all the information regarding blood banks and
blood donors such as Name, Number, Address, Blood Group, rather than searching it on
the different websites and wasting the precious time. This application is effective and
user friendly.
