This document summarizes science experiments and projects conducted by a student group on composite materials. It includes activities testing different types of ice and materials for strength, as well as a design project to create a lightweight and flexible fishing pole. The main project discussed is adding carbon fiber to car engines to increase conductivity and heat resistance. The students hypothesize this will make engines more powerful and reduce radiator water use. Methods, results, and recommendations are provided for using carbon fiber in motors. In conclusion, the students learned about composite materials and presenting science projects.

We noticed that sample 3 is the strongest one
ice composite is stronger than pure ice

 We tested materials for strength and flexibility :
 Pasta – iron – nylon – wood – plastic
 Iron is the strongest Material and Pasta is the weakest
one

8. Design project : Designing a Fishing
Pole
 We made a design for fishing pole .
 The fishing pole must be :
 1- strong
 2- light weight
 3- flexible

9. Final project
Carbon fiber on cars engine
Our idea is :
We will Add carbon fiber on the car
engine to make it more resistant to
heat and makes it more conductive to
electricity

Carbon fiber on car engine
 In the Gulf area there is high temperatures in summer and our idea is
to add fiber, carbon fiber , on car engines because carbon fibers have
many advantages including: First, it absorbs heat and this will protect
the cars because the engine temperature increases in the summer,
carbon fiber will absorb the temperature and this will make it slowly
heated .Second, it increases the electrical conductivity and this will
help the engine to work strongly .
 We chose carbon fiber because they have several advantages .
 1 – cheap .
 2 - available everywhere .
 3 - Easy to use .
 Its easy to work on it – it has a great benefit for people .

11. Carbon fiber on car engine
Hypothesis:
1 - We Assuming that carbon fiber will make the engine more powerful
and resistant to heat
2 - We assume that after the use of carbon fiber in the automotive
internally will decrease the use of water in Radiator because the
carbon-fiber will absorb the temperature which is the function of water

Results:
 Our project will make the car engine more powerful.
 a little heat will be produced because the carbon fiber are good
conductors of electricity and heat absorbing .

Recommendations:
1 - We recommend to use carbon fiber in many motors
not only the car engine .
2 -We recommend to work hard in this project in order
to spread it in all the countries .

15. Conclusions
We have learned about the importance of composite
materials and science in our lives ,and how we can do a
presentation and scientific poster . we learned also
how to think of new projects .
