Composites are materials made from two or more constituent materials with significantly different physical or chemical properties, that when combined, produce a material with characteristics different from the individual components.
The Safety inflatable suit is an emergency crash suit concept for motorcyclists, inflating in less than a second after a collision.
The Safety Sphere concept suit is made up of two layers: a tough outer layer made of a thin, parachute-like fabric and an inner thin elastic layer. The Safety airbag suit takes the form of special bike suit that will automatically inflates into a sphere and enveloping the rider immediately once rider is detected to be flying off the bike in a crash.

4. Activity 1 : Testing Different Kinds of Ice
First of all we had two petri dishes
one of them contains pure ice
Objective : Comparing the strength of pure ice and an ice composite
Procedure:
We shredded some tissue , papers and
some plants and we blended them we
placed the plates in the freezer
5. In this case we discovered that the composites is
stronger than the pure object
We noticed that the ice mixed with leaves , paper , tissue
and some flowers is stronger than the pure ice
Result:
Activity 1 : Testing Different Kinds of Ice
6. Activity 2 : Hunting for Composite Materials
Composite materials are generally
used for: buildings, bridges and
structures such as boat hulls, sports
equipment, swimming pool panels,
race car bodies, shower stalls,
bathtubs, storage tanks etc…
7. Activity 3 : Testing Materials for Strength and Stiffness
Objective : Ranking materials for strength and stiffness
Procedure: We first had 5 different objects rope , pasta , wood ,
iron rod and plastic
We tested their flexibility by our hands by bending
them to their limits
We found out that the rope was the most flexible
object of them all , then the wood, then the plastic,
then the iron rod and at last was the pasta
The rope was rope was light, flexible and strong its
is best for making composite materials
8. Activity 3 : Testing Materials for Strength and Stiffness
Result:
Ranking materials for flexibility Ranking materials for strength
9. First of all we took a bunch of weights
We locked on different kinds of foam on
the table(we had one with out any
attachments , the other one had a paper
attached to it , one had a paper and tape)
We applied pressure on the foam to see how
strong is the foam.
We noticed that two of the foams had broke
and one did not so we found out that it is the
strongest.
Activity 4 : Testing a Foam Composite for Strength and Stiffness
Objective : Studying the factors that affect the strength and stiffness of
the composite

12. Introduction: Safety airbags are only provided in
cars while motorcyclists are not protected from impacts
in case of crash. Here is a solution to reduce the gravity
of wounds caused by motorcycle accidents
13. Materials
The suite is made of two layers composite materials. The outer layer is made
of tough parachute-like fabric such as Kevlar
Currently, Kevlar has many
applications, ranging from bicycle
tires and racing sails to body armor
because of its high tensile
strength-to-weight ratio
That is why it could be used for
motorcycle safety clothing
Kevlar is the registered trademark
for a para-aramid synthetic fiber
It is recycable
14. Materials
The suite is made of two layers composite materials. The outer layer is made of tough
parachute-like fabric such as Kevlar and an inner thin elastic layer such as Nylon
Nylon is a generic designation for a
family of synthetic polymers
known
generically as aliphatic polyamides
It is recycable and inexpensive
Nylon can be used as the matrix material in composite materials.
Durability: its high tenacity fibers are used for
seatbelts, tire cords, ballistic cloth and other uses.
It has served as a substitute for silk in products such as parachutes.
In addition, nylon is used in the manufacture of heat-resistant
composite materials.
15. Prototype
The suit or jacket must be connected to the motorcycle by a cord that
disconnect when the rider is thrown from the motorcycle triggering an
electrical signal and inflating the suit in less then one second.
The inflatable suite will protect the rider from impact. The new about this
idea is the combination of Kevlar with an elastic textile provides strength
and inflating properties in the same time. It is also heat and flame resistant
Result
16. Conclusion
The inflatable suite idea could save motorcyclists lives by protecting
them from accidents and decrease the rate and severity of injuries in
Qatar community even in the whole world.
Recommendations
The inflating system could be also applied to protect fragile devices such
as smart phones, laptops by making inflatable covers.
Our product need to be adopted and studied because we didn’t have
possibilities to get the real raw materials and test them.
