dad passed away. I felt God calling me to serve my church. I started to become more active in my

I was sitting in my confirmation class on Sunday afternoon, when my teacher, Melanie, was talking
about all the upcoming events. She had an eye catching video about the National Catholic Youth
Conference or NCYC. The group from two years about created the video. They went into detail of
what we d get out of the trip. The thing that stuck out the most was the unique feeling of God s
presents. It was time to pay for our spot on this trip. The cost was $50, so you would have a seat on

200,000 other people, only seven being ones from my church. Preparing for this trip was time

The authors then started to describe Matthew Roberts life story in great detail from his childhood to
his adulthood in chapter two just after the biography of Elijah Pierson. Matthew Roberts started out
well for himself. But later, I came to read that he was an abusive husband. He lost countless jobs due

Each novel has specific themes or images it is attempting to portray throughout the text. The Silent
Cry is no exception to this attempt. After reading the novel, it soon became clear to me that the theme
of this novel is the importance of memories. I believe that the novel is trying to show how important
our memories are while highlighting the differences of these memories between family members
