This document classifies computers based on their size into four categories: super computers, mainframes, minicomputers, and microcomputers. Super computers are the largest and most powerful, capable of billions of instructions per second and used by large organizations for tasks like weather forecasting. Mainframes are also large and powerful, designed for large scale data processing and supporting over 100 terminals. Minicomputers are between mainframes and microcomputers in capabilities, able to support around 50 terminals. Microcomputers are the smallest, based on microprocessors, and used for personal computing like at home or small businesses.
