These sentences often don t follow any specific meter, if they do it is most likely by accident. The
rhyme is more often than not end rhyme. I write the poems to tell a story, but I don t want it to be

The old private pension system was created in the 1920 s and expanded throughout the 30 s and 40 s
(McDonnell). Private pensions were considered one of the three income sources for retired elderly.
Originally, private pensions had defined benefits. The employer and employee would agree to a
percentage of salary that the employee would receive from the company annually during retirement.
Contractually obligated, this placed the liability onto the employer. Estimates say that employees
could receive around 40% of their last year s salary as annual income with defined benefits. In the
1990 s, the pension plans gradually changed from defined benefits to defined contribution. The
employees, rather than negotiating retirement salary now determine the amount of their salary that will
be saved in a retirement fund. Retirement income is a burden on the employee rather than employer
(Ghilarducci 8). In order to equal the income of the old plans, employees give their retirement savings
to mutual funds that invest in the stock market. While a key aspect of retirement, the system has

I truly see no harm in virtual murder. According to the PBS News Hour (2013), there is no evidence
that any violent video game has ever caused a real world violent act. I look at playing these games as a
way for children to explore and gain knowledge about the world. In most cases, the child ends up
playing the game as the good guy , who is fighting the bad guy and helping to save the world. I see
nothing wrong with this. I think we should be allowing our children to feel like heroes by allowing
them to participate in such virtual worlds. When referring to the most advanced games such as Call of
Duty or Grand Theft Auto, I would not argue against placing age restriction on these games and I

Two Types of Disturbance Rational emotive behavior therapy argues that a defining characteristic of
humans is that we have desires. We want certain things to happen and other things not to happen.
However, we also a have a strong tendency to transform these desires into absolute musts. When we
hold rigid beliefs of this nature, we disturb ourselves. Thus, in REBT, rigidity is seen as being at the
core of psychologically disturbed responses to adversity (Neenan Dryden, 2010). Rational emotive
behavior therapy suggests that human beings defeat or disturb themselves in two main ways: (1) by
holding irrational beliefs about their self (ego disturbance) or (2) by holding irrational beliefs about

timber, oxygen for us to breath, etc. Without trees, life on Earth may probably cease to exist. Trees,
specifically forests, make up for thirty percent of the Earth s land (National Geographic, 2017), while
water covers seventy percent (National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration, 2017). Out of that thirty
percent, only a mere six percent is what tropical rainforests cover (Butler, 2008). According to Butler
(2008), tropical rainforests once covered over sixteen percent of the Earth, but since then, the numbers
began decreasing. Tropical rainforests, precisely the Amazon rainforest, are decreasing at such
alarming rates due to deforestation (Laurence, 1998). If the Amazon rainforest were to be lost, the
implications imposed are its effect on local matters such as wildlife, the environment, and human life

The interview subject is a middle adulthood, Ultra Orthodox, Hasidic, Jewish, married female.
The tentative conclusions drawn regarding how social work practice can best assist persons from
within this cultural group were found to be based on religious authoritative preeminence. Most
Orthodox Jews will first turn to a rabbi for advice for either social or emotional issues.
Clinicians that work with this particular group need to be well versed in their strict religious customs
and schedule of religious observances. Rabbinical guidance is most assuredly a definitive factor in the
successful counseling of Hasidic clients.
Although studies have been conducted to measure the prevalence patterns of disorder in the Jewish
community, clinical diagnosis and treatment issues most common to this population are focused on
distinguishing religious behavior from pathological behavior and if religious intervention will be
