I selected my student from one of my students that I viewed to have some of the worst behavior
in the class. I am at Bond Elementary School which is an intercity school. Most of the school s
student population comes from subsidized housing (the projects). I am in a first grade class of

The intervention I selected was Chart Moves. The way that I implemented this particular
intervention with the student is by writing his name on the poster in which I supplied. Every time
the student performed the desired behavior, which was reading fluently within two minutes and
answering post questions he would move up half a notch. With the chart, Ja Von would have the
opportunity to earn different reinforcement such as things that he was interested in or things that
he liked. I became aware of the things that he was interested in during the observation phase and
before I introduced him to the intervention, I asked him to make a list of the 10 things that he
enjoyed doing or things that he liked in general. The list included but were not limited too
cookies, candy and action figures. This gave me the opportunity to use the reinforcers as ways to
increase the desired behavior and decrease the inappropriate one. After the intervention was

Anthem In this paper, I will be talking about the book called Anthem. I will be talking about
characters such as protagonists and antagonists and how some characters impacted the story. I will
talk about the setting, conflicts, and plot of the story. I will also talk about literary devices such as
point of view, symbolism, mood, tone, and theme. In Anthem, there are a couple of characters and
some are only mentioned and some only have a few lines of dialogue. The protagonistof Anthem is
Prometheus or Equality 7 2521 and the antagonists are the Council of Scholars. The council of
scholars would be the antagonists because they told the society how to think and that made
Prometheus think that he had a curse and was committing a lot of sins and to atone for his sins he
accepted the job as a street sweeper with any complaint. Two characters that influenced the plot are
Gaea and International 4 8818. Gaea or Liberty 5 3000 influences the plot by Prometheus noticing
her and speaking to her when they aren t supposed thus breaking a rule and later going to the
Uncharted forest to find Prometheus and live with him. International 4 8818 influenced the story by
making Prometheus think of him as his friend thus favoring him over other men which are against
the rule and keeping quiet about the tunnel that Prometheus and he found. These two characters
made Prometheus break the rules and was pushing him to have more a free will than the other men.

Technological advancements help societies in various ways, helping them grow and thrive;
protecting them, providing enjoyment and improving quality of life. To determine whether or
not a new technology will be implemented, a strategy known as, cost benefit analysis is applied.
This analysis evaluates the costs involved upfront and over time as compared to the benefits
received from the new technology. For example, the development of new types of technology to
be used in medical care. New techniques may be more effective or have fewer side effects, but
may be too expensive to justify replacing the current standard of care. In addition to the monetary
cost there may also be negative outcomes that may pose a threat to health of our society. There has
to be a balance, for the new technology to be successful. An ideal new innovative technology, is
safer, cheaper, faster, and easier to maintain than the old technology being replaced.
Nuclear energy for example, is a relatively new kind of energy technology that is being introduced

morals where subversive and fantasy genres can allow children to release from daily expectations
and allows an outlet for their large imaginations. I argue that Peter Panby J.M. Barrie is both
didactic and subversive. It is subversive in the sense that it is whimsical and entertaining. This is
proven in the Fanatical style of Barrie with children flying, fighting pirates and never having to
grow up if they choose to stay in Neverland, the place where grown ups aren t allowed. However,
the text is also didactic because it teaches the lesson of fairness and gender roles of the time. In
total both of these elements make Barrie s Peter Pan an exceptional children s book that enables
children to be entertained and learn values of fairness and societal roles of the publication time.
