Refugees In Camps During The Refugee Crisis
During the refugee crisis there was some international governmental and non governmental aid for the
refugees in the country still those 350 000 400 000 (vidi pogore) were enormous burden for
Macedonian economy. That was third reason for accommodating refugees in camps instead
incorporating them in the society. Their potential influence on Macedonians economy and establishing
refugees camps can be observed thru the possible impact on local and national economy. Because
these two factors are very closely connected they will be elaborated and overviewed simultaneously.
Refugees escaping from ethnic cleansing were arriving in Macedonia only with few necessities, and
were relaying on Aid from host nation. In that time the biggest economy issue for Macedonian
government was unemployment, statistic said that around 32% of the population was unemployed, or
around 350 000 people. So people in order to survive were working on black market, and without
insurance. At some level that was tolerated from the government because it was providing existence
for people and social peace in the country. Black market and working without insurance had a big
influence for local and national economy. Major concern for government if refugees were
incorporated into the society was that these 350 000 400 000 refugees, in conditions of no income was
more than possible that they would seek for job in the country on black market. Also around 50 000 60
000 refugees were accommodated mostly in families

The Importance Of Athletic Festivals In Greek Society
Greek athletics were very popular in the Greek culture. William Baker s thesis statement was For more
than a thousand years athletic festivals were an important part of Greek life. Originally mixtures of
religious ceremony and athletic competition, hundreds of local festivals were held each year
throughout the country and in Greek colonies in Egypt, Sicily, and the banks of the Bosporus. The
argument is how festivals are important to Greek Life. The article starts out with the author talking
about the four major athletic festivals, The Pythian Games, The Isthmian Games, The Nemean Games,
and the Olympic Games. By the fifth century B.C. four major festivals dominated the scene, forming a
kind of circuit ambitious athletes Ambitious athletes could gain a following in an event by training for
and participating in these events creating a circuit for them. Religion was a big deal in Greek Culture
With all their emphasis on man and his achievements, the Greeks were extremely religious.
Polytheists, they looked to particular gods for assistance and blessing in every sphere of life... . The
first piece of evidence William Baker shows relates to religion and how the athletic festivals are used
as also a religious event The fifth and final day of the festival was devoted to a prize giving ceremony,
a service of thanksgiving to Zeus, and sumptuous banquet at which the sacrificial animals were
consumed. This shows that the Greeks respected the god Zeus and payed honor to him at these The
Olympic Games by having a day devoted to him with prize giving and sacrifice of animals. All finally
arrived at the altar of Zeus, where one hundred oxen were slain and their legs burned in homage to
Zeus. The carcasses were cooked and eaten at the concluding banquet on the final day. As William
Baker said For more than a thousand years athletic festivals were an important part of Greek life.
Originally mixtures of religious ceremony and athletic competition Greeks also looked up to other
gods during other festivals, The Pythian Games held at the site of Apollo and Delphi...The Isthmian

Vietnam War As A Civic Duty And A True Testament
Vietnam
In the 1960s, America found itself divided among various social matters. Conformity, civil rights, and
the Vietnam war. While the older generations viewed fighting in the war as a civic duty and a true
testament to what it meant to be an American , the counterculture did not share this belief. Regardless
of how anyone felt about the war, it had escalated to epic proportions and as one citizen put it, It was
on our mind every single hour of the day (PBS CITE). Vietnam was the first war ever to be televised,
and with that came constant coverage and a growing concern from young Americans. In addition, the
military draft made matters worse by forced the youth America to fight. By 1968, the war in Vietnam
had claimed over 15,000 American lives (CITE PBS). Between the draft and the growing American
casualties, greater tension in the US was created. Young Americans had to ask themselves if the war
was worth fighting.
Opposition to the draft and draft evasion was the central plot element in Hair with Claude s indecision
of whether or not to serve his country in Vietnam a war he does not believe in (Young, 1993, p. 71).
Claude represent most of the youth of America and their confusion which was ignited by the war. His
internal conflict is depicted in the song Where do I Go : Where do I go/ Follow the children (...) Is
there an answer / In their sweet faces / That tells me why I live and die (SONG CITE). Here, Claude
talks about following his tribe as a way to make

Targeted Therapy
Targeted therapy in the treatment of cancer Student ID 39298 Class HAS 3 Word count
Targeted therapy, which first became available in the late 1990s, has had a significant impact on the
treatment of cancer. Currently, because of advancement in the field of technology, various types of
therapies are discovered to treat cancer. In this essay, targeted therapy is defined as a therapy in which
various drugs or other substances are used to recognize and kill the cancerous cells without harming
the normal cell (National cancer institute, 2014). Effectiveness refers to the degree in ... Show more

One of them is Gleevec (Imatinib mesylate), a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, was called a magical bullet .
This was the first targeted therapy drug used to treat cancer. It was invented in the late 1990 s, to treat
chronic myeloid leukemia and gastrointestinal stromal growth . Imatinib is tyrosine kinase inhibitors.
Tyrosine kinase is a protein that cells use to signal to each other to grow (Iqbal and Iqbal, 2014, p.1).
It works by preventing a tyrosine kinase enzyme and therefore inhibits growth factor induced receptor
phosphorylation and blocks the PDGF/PDGFR and P13 k/Akt pathway (Kheradmand, et.al.2016,
p.83). According to Richardson (2010, p.679), the drug Velcade was also known as Bortezomib is
useful in the treatment of multiple myelomas. The main goal of this drug is to lower the tumor growth
significantly. The American cancer society (2013, para.20) studies show Bortezomib is a proteasome
inhibitor . It works by blocking or slowing down the action of proteosome is to break down protein in
both healthy and cancerous cells. When proteosome activity is blocked, proteins in the cells
accumulate. This accumulation may cause cells to stop growing and multiplying, and cause them to
die and Sutent (Sunitinib) is a drug used to treat metastatic renal cell carcinoma. It is currently
approved as a second line treatment of MRCC. Sunitinib inhibits the vascular endothelial growth
factor receptor and stops the growth of tumors (Kolesar, et.al. 2008, pp.123 131). It is considered as a
multi targeted kinase inhibitor because it is a type of VEGF inhibitor, an angiogenesis inhibitor, and it
blocks an enzyme called tyrosine kinase. By doing all of this, it slows cancer growth and keeps tumors
from making their own blood vessels to help them grow and spread (American

Examples Of Unsung Heroes Of American Revolution
American Revolution: Unsung Heroes of Independence We hold these truths to be self evident: that all
men and women are created equal. (Elizabeth Cady Stanton, 1848). During the American Revolution,
America went from being an extension of Britain (and a source of revenue when needed) to an
independent nation built upon the grecian idea of democracy. When people hear the names George
Washington, Benjamin Franklin, or Thomas Jefferson, they easily connect them to the capable leaders
and revolutionary heroes who made great contributions during America s delicate infancy. These men,
along with countless others, fought for the end of the monopolization Britain held over the colonies
and undyingly laid down their lives for the pursuit of freedom. However, do the names Deborah
Sampson, Peter Salem, or Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben ring a bell? Women, people of color, and
Europeans from all different walks of life were also swept up in the war for independence. The war
did not feature people of one gender, race, or nationality. These individuals were in the flesh for all of
these historical events, but, at the best, get a sentence in the history books taught in school
curriculums. History books have a tendency to give major credit towards white men for our country s
freedom. The figures history teaches led armies into battles and shaped our government with

Descriptive Essay On Floria
Located just between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, and home to famous amusement
parks, museums, and beaches, it s easy to see why so many tourists get lured into visiting Florida each
year. In fact, USA Today ranks the Orange State as a year round tourist destination due to its tropical
weather. This means that for those of us who live in cooler climate cities, Florida could be a great way
to escape those harsh winter months.
There are still, however, a lot of travelers who know very little about the 27th state. In other words,
when tourists think of Florida, they envision Daytona Beach, Miami, Walt Disney World, and of
course, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter out in Orlando. This makes sense, because those are all
beautiful places worth seeing. However, there are still some other locations throughout Florida worth
visiting that remain under the radar.
If you re a traveler considering going somewhere different for the upcoming holidays whether you
plan on hanging out at the beach or seeing Florida s wildlife here are some places to visit in case if
you find your way down to the panhandle state.
Palm Beach: This city is home to the most beautiful resorts, and historic landmarks the state has to
offer. Palm Beach itself is lined with countless trees and provides a large number of places to eat and
shop.
When s a good time to visit this beautiful city?

Observation Of Child Observation
Introduction
Subject Chris is a 7 year old middle class Caucasian male. Observation is taking place in the child s
home over the course of two separate afternoons. Chris is a friendly and well spoken child who is
small for his age. Chris is the youngest child in his family and both observations take place while his
siblings are home. In each case one or both parents are absent.
First Hour of Observation
The first hour of observation takes place on a Saturday afternoon. Chris is in his living room with
three of his older siblings. Though they are all in the living room together, Chris is engaged in play by
himself. He is content playing alone until he needs help fastening a small, slightly complicated harness
onto a stuffed toy. He seeks ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The children scold the toy for poor behavior such as barking at the other toys or cutting in line several
times. As they continue to play, Chris begins to pretend to be the animals. He imitates the sounds the
animals would make if they were real (dog barks, cat meows) but also gives each animal a distinctive
human voice.
The family s pet dog comes over to investigate and the children laugh when the real animal knocks a
few of the toys over. They attempt to coerce the dog to play with them but quickly give up when she
fails to follow directions as well as their imaginary animals do. A leaves the game and Chris continues
to play, arranging the stuffed animals as if they were his audience.
Eventually he loses interest in his games and joins A on the couch to look on as she plays on a tablet.
He sits next to her but is upside down with his feet in the air, as if he were pedaling and imaginary
bicycle. He tells an amusing though completely inaccurate story about how babies are made. His older
siblings who are still in the room raise eyebrows at each other in amusement but don t correct him.
Shortly following this exchange the first hour of observation comes to an end.
Second Hour of Observation
I chose to focus specifically on Chris s interaction with his siblings for the second observational
period. As the second hour begins Chris is sitting at a child sized table in his living room playing with
Legos.

The Simpsons as a Sitcom Essay
The Simpsons as a Sitcom
The Simpsons is an example of an American sitcom. A sitcom is situation comedy, which is when the
same setting and same characters appear in every episode. Examples of sitcoms are programs such as
The Crosby Show and more recent sitcoms such as Friends . Sitcoms surfaced in the 1950 s in
America showing the ideal family. Slowly sitcoms started to show the reality of life and dealt with
social issues such as divorce and unemployment. Sitcoms have become very popular because people
could relate to the program and sitcoms show problems, which happen in every day life in a light

Unspoken Tensions In Trial By Combat
In the storys Trial by Combat and Summer Ball there are parts where unspoken viewpoints influence
the tension within conversations. This is shown between Emily and Mrs. Allens conversation and
Danny s and his dads conversation. Both show how unspoken viewpoints can create tension within the
conversation. In the story Trial by Combat there is tension because Emily knows that Mrs. Allens is
taking her stuff. She is scared to confront her because she knows that she did it. In Trial by Combat it
says Emily had seen someone come out of her room and go down the stairs, and recognized the

Labeling Theory
Deviance, like beauty, is in the eyes of the beholder. There is nothing inherently deviant in any human
act, something is deviant only because some people have been successful in labelling it so. J. L
Simmons The definition of the situation implies that if you define a situation as real, it is real only in
its consequences.
INTRODUCTION
Labelling theory, stemming from the influences of Cooley, Mead, Tannenbaum, and Lemert, has its
origins somewhere within the context of the twentieth century. However, Edwin Lemert is widely
considered the producer and founder of the original version of labelling theory. This paper, not a
summary, provides a brief history of labelling theory, as well as, its role in the sociology of deviance.
It attempts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The deviant s response to societal reaction leads to secondary deviation by which the deviant comes to
accept a self image or self definition as someone who is permanently locked within a deviant role.
Furthermore, the distinctiveness of the approach is that it draws attention to deviance as the outcome
of social imputations and the exercise of social control. Labelling theory is very complex, making it
quite different than other theories. Instead of looking at why some social groups commit more crime,
labelling theory asks why some people committing some action come to be defined as deviant, while
others do not. Labelling theory is also interested in the effect of labelling individuals. As well,
labelling theorists note that most people commit crimes at some time in their lives but not everyone
becomes defined as deviant or criminal. How does this process of defining a person as deviant work?
Look at a situation where a policeman holds stereotypes about typical criminals. They use these
stereotypes to interpret the behaviour of suspected deviants. In other words, the closer a person comes
to the stereotype held by the police, the more likely they are to be arrested, charged, and convicted of
the crime. Furthermore, once someone has been successfully labelled or stigmatized as criminal or
deviant, the label attached may become the dominant label.
MASTER STATUS
In labelling theory, the dominant label is most often referred to as the

Jackson made many positive and negative decisions as the president of the United States. Andrew
Jackson expanded the power of the president and he also expanded democracy during his time as the
president of the United States. Andrew Jackson has gone down as one of the best presidents in United
States history and that s because he did many great things to improve the United States. Throughout
his presidency he constantly abused his power as the president and did many things that expanded the
powers of the president. One of the biggest things that President Jackson did while in office was pass
the Indian Removal Act. The Indian Removal Act of 1830 was when Jackson forced all the Indians to
move to the land acquired in the Louisiana Purchase, while the Supreme Court declared this
unconstitutional. Many of the Indians went peacefully, but many of the Indians also decided to protest
and take it to the Supreme Court (Darrenkamp). While the court did side with the Indians Jackson and
Congress forced the Indians to give up their land. The federal troops were called in to escort the
Indians to their new land. Fifteen thousand Indians were forced to move and while on their way about
a third of the Indians died, and this event became to be known as the Trail of Tears (Darrenkamp).

Gross Domestic Product Is The Measure Of A Nation s Total...
Gross Domestic Product is the curative measure of a nation s total economic activity. It represents the
monetary value of all goods and services produced within a nation s geographic borders over a
specified period of time. In other words, it s how to tell how the economy of a country is doing. It is
the total dollar valued of all goods and services; the size of the economy usually in a given year. GDP
first came into use in 1937 in a report to the US Congress in response to the Great Depression, after
Russian economist Simon Kuznets conceived the system of measurement. The system used before

approach, on the other hand, totals consumption, investment, government spending, and net exports
produced by a country in a year. The first component of the GDP is consumption. It includes all
private and public consumption, government outlays, investments, and exports minus imports that
occur within a defined territory. Is normally the largest GDP component. Many persons judge the

Analysis Of Concrete Angel By Martina Mcbride
Most audiences view music as a form of entertainment only, so society tends to overlook the messages
behind the music. Some artists use music to promote their beliefs or inform their listeners about
unnoticed issues. Music can spread awareness about misfortunes in the world, and Martina McBride
uses her celebrity status to promote her own concerns about child abuse. In 2002, Martina McBride
recorded a song titled Concrete Angel to spread awareness about child abuse. Her song addresses the
general population, consisting of bystanders, because most people are aware of tragedies such as child
abuse, but they ignore the problem. Through emotional appeals, characterization, imagery, and
foreshadowing, Concrete Angel illustrates the story of a young girl s abuse in order to call the
bystanders to awareness of the societal problem. Throughout the song, the story creates emotional
appeal with the use of bystanders. The bystander mentioned in verse two is, The teacher wonders, but
she doesn t ask/ It s hard to see the pain behind the mask (lines 5 6). The teacher s reaction is a
common experience for many adults because most adults assume the child is not abused if he or she
appears okay. Another bystander mentioned is, Somebody cries in the middle of the night/ The
neighbors hear, but they turn out the light (15 16). Since the bystander ignores her plea for help, the
audience develops sympathy for her because the girl is helpless. Sympathy is the main objective of
these lyrics, and if the audience has compassion for the young girl, they might take action instead of
being bystanders. Through emotional appeals, the underlying message of these lyrics attempts to
persuade the listeners not to be complacent as bystanders. The artist uses music to evoke people s
emotion because most people listen and relate to music. The article Martina McBride Finds Additional
Voices to Express Herself Ahead of Show in North Myrtle Beach mentions, Raising awareness, she
[Martina McBride] said, makes you feel something as an individual to make a difference, and we all
appreciate that (Palisin). When bystanders take action, they can prevent an abusive situation and raise
more awareness. Concrete Angel characterizes the

The Flappers Of The 1920s
Flappers What is a flapper? The flapper is one of the most essential parts of the 1920s. They
represented a new type of woman. Whether in attitude, attire, or slang. The 1920s flapper
demonstrated how women could transform into something that is a part of the modern construction of
women s identity. The flapper was a major part of The Roaring Twenties . The flapper was how young
women sought to define themselves. Prior to the 1920s American women were seen in a very
traditional light. They were meant to stay in the backgrounds of their husbands. Their dresses were
meant to cover all the parts of their bodys. Women were told to follow the traditional and subservient
roles. With the ending of World War 1, Europe was in ruins, America became seen as the center of the
world s stage.
The war caused many American women to take factory jobs as result of the men enlisting in the war
effort. They took these jobs because once the husband left there was no source of income coming to
the family. So the women had to go to work to receive income to feed their families. Also, they started
to work at the factories so they could make guns, bombs, food, and clothes to send to the troops in
Europe who were fighting in the war.
The 19th Amendment was passed in 1920 by the United States Constitution that allowed women the
right to vote. On November 2, 1920 more than 8 million women across the United States voted in
elections for the first time. It took

The Technology of Computer Networks
Introduction
Computer network a system used to link PCs or computer equipment (servers, routers, and other
equipment). For data transmission can be used various kinds of electric signals, light signals or

prevalence, type of network topology, etc. One of the criteria the type of transmission, the network is
divided into wired and wireless.
Wi Fi a trademark of Wi Fi Alliance for wireless networks based on the standard IEEE 802.11. The
acronym Wi Fi (from the Wireless Fidelity, which can be literally translated as the quality of the
wireless ) is currently developing as a family of standards for the transmission of digital data radio
streams. It is still often hears that the wireless network is not secure compared to wired solutions. At
the present stage of Wi Fi technology s development that is not true. Simply security needs to be
addressed (to design and maintain), as in the case of a wired network.
It has long been known that the defense of any infrastructure is only one method of creating a
protected perimeter is ineffective, as often the most dangerous attacks are caused by factors within the
network. Building a security system Wi Fi network should take into account all of these factors in
order to come as close to a similar level of security of wired and wireless network segments.
And what, in fact, an attacker can get on the wireless network , set up which

Sociological Portrait Research Paper

life or an aspect of life has been shaped by the micro environment factors. These factors could be
social class, ethnicity, race, and gender among others. Each of these environmental factors plays a
critical role in determining one s identity. For instance, one s family experience is largely determined
by the factors that surround them. Being a girl might result in having a different family experience,
depending on specific cultures. Also, one s race might influence the way their families act or conduct

The Global Positioning System The global positioning system (GPS) is a satellite based navigation
system, consisting of a network of 24 orbiting satellites travelling on six different orbital paths. These
satellites, referred to as NAVSTAR satellites, are constantly moving, making two complete orbits
around earth per day. The first GPS satellite was launched in February, 1978. Satellites now weight
approximately 1 tonne, and are about 5 metres across with extended solar panels. GPS needs at least

with a minimum of three satellites, the GPS receiver is then able to determine a latitude/longitude

receiver can also provide accurate measures of speed and direction of travel. The accuracy of the GPS
system used to be hindered principally by a source of position error called Selection Availability (SA),
intentionally imposing inaccuracies of up to 100m on civilian GPS by the US Defense, the idea being

satellite reception is blocked/reflected by buildings, obstructions of the like) and propagation delay
due to atmospheric effects. Some internal clock errors may also occur. In order to improve accuracy,
one can implement correctional information and computing, as well as using more sophisticated radio

The Working Class In Edith Wharton s The House Of Mirth
challenging or overcoming the marketplace is not even possible: she approaches the topic from an
aristocratic perspective, which offers no alternative to the standard of a business centered society.
Para. 28: Wharton nevertheless tries to overcome this impossibility by exploring it through the
working class. The character of Nettie, for instance, is representative of being outside the exchange
system, and therefore able to transcend the exchange system.
Para. 29: Placing her hope for change within her idealized vision of the working class, Wharton seeks
to find an exit from the confines of the marketplace mentality. Dimock s final argument, then, is that
the House of Mirth is Wharton s critique of a system that places arbitrary values on human
experiences for the sake of short term capital gain.
In Debasing Exchange: Edith Wharton s The House of Mirth, Wai Chee Dimock seeks to prove how
The House of Mirth acts as an illuminating critique of the society in which it is set, namely how and
why social interactions are defined by an all pervasive system of exchange that ultimately defines all
other aspects of the characters lives. She establishes intellectual territory in her analysis by reading
closely into the myriad of relationships between the characters in the novel, attending to how their
dialogue and actions are steeped in the language of business. Dimock s reasoning for The House of
Mirth being a Marxist text is that Wharton sought to remove herself from the

1. How does strategic planning influence day to day business operations? Why is it important for
systems analysts to understand a company s strategic plan?
Answer: A strategic plan looks beyond day to day activities and focuses on a horizon that is three,
five, ten, or more years in the future. Because the firm s IT group will be expected to deliver IT
resources, IT managers must understand and participate in strategic planning. Strategic planning starts
with a mission statement that reflects the firm s vision, purpose, and values. Mission statements

Technical feasibility: Technical feasibility refers to the technical resources needed to develop,
purchase, install, or operate the system.
Economic feasibility: Economic feasibility means that the projected benefits of the proposed system
outweigh the estimated costs usually considered the total cost of ownership as well as the acquisition
costs.
Schedule feasibility: Schedule feasibility means that a project can be implemented in an acceptable
time frame. When accessing the schedule feasibility the analyst must consider the interaction between
the stakeholders, time and costs.
Economic feasibility is the measure of the cost effectiveness of an information system solution.
Also it includes the cost estimate for the project development team will be built into a project
management plan. Which means the economic feasibility focuses on total cost of ownership.

Repeat Entrepreneurs Case Study Essay
Introduction This paper will examine whether repeat entrepreneurs search for opportunities differently
than entrepreneurs who found only one company. Before examining the case for or against this theory,
a brief discussion what makes up an entrepreneur opens this paper. From there it moves into a brief
discussion of Howard Stevenson and his importance within the field of study of entrepreneurism.
Then the focus turns to a case for or against whether repeat entrepreneurs search for opportunities
differently than entrepreneurs who found only one company. To emphasize the findings discussed, a
brief case study of a successful entrepreneur hopes to reinforce the concepts discussed. The paper will
close with a summation of the findings and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A Case Against
Repeat entrepreneurs know they have the ability to identify an opportunity and turn that opportunity
into a business. In most cases, they have already done it at least once. Unfortunately, this does not
mean that the first business was a success or that they will be able to repeat the success the first
business may have had. In fact, if the first business was a failure, there are indications that the second
business may fail as well. Recent research shows that instead of learning from mistakes, entrepreneurs
are just as apt to be overoptimistic after failure as before. Their overoptimism remains undimmed by
failure (Ucbasaran, Westhead Wright, 2011). This overoptimism can cause an entrepreneur to take on
risky opportunities, fail to properly plan for the unforeseen or waste financial resources instead of
looking for and finding the right opportunity.
Successful entrepreneurs looking to become repeat entrepreneurs may incorrectly over focus on
recreating their success that ideas for future opportunities are not as strong as the previous ones.
Where the first opportunity an entrepreneur pursued may have grown from an organic problem solving
process, repeat entrepreneurs may look to duplicate that success instead of taking the time to grow into
another opportunity as organically as the first. The greatest, and more crucial, challenge

The Power And The Promise Of Ecological Feminism Summary
In the reading The Power and the Promise of Ecological Feminism , the author, Karen J. Warren,
explains her argument on the inevitable connection between the oppression of women and the
oppression of nature. She further suggests that ecofeminism provides a framework to re envision
feminism and create an environmental ethic which takes into account the connection between sexism
and naturism.
Understanding feminist issues conceptually helps to understand environmental issues. The conceptual
framework of the identical dominations of women and nature is oppressive and patriarchal, which
justifies the oppression. The three main components of oppressive conceptual framework are vertical
thinking, or thinking in terms of rank, value dualisms, or exclusive oppositional ideas, and the logic of
domination, which is the logic structured to lead to the justification of subordination. The logic of
domination component, when coupled with the the other two components, creates the problem of
subordination justification and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not only are the dominations of women and nature both patriarchally justified through the logic of
domination, but the historical and social realistic conceptions of gender and nature are also both
socially fabricated.
Warren brings up the important use of the first person narrative to make people aware of the pertinent
ethical issues often forgotten. She claims it is a substantial mechanism in both feminism and
ecofeminism for four reasons: 1) it is a method that exhibits the importance of relationships, 2) it
reveals many attitudes and behaviors of ethics often neglected, such as the ethic of care, 3) it provides
a realistic situations in which moral beings can relate, and 4) it demonstrates what counts as a good

Throughout My Field Experience This Semester, I Learned
Throughout my field experience this semester, I learned a lot about literacy learners and
teaching/learning. From my final tutoring session, I learned that literacy instruction that works for one
student may not necessarily work for another and that it is important to teach literacy instruction using
a variety of techniques and strategies (Serravallo, 2015). First, I learned how important it is to cater
literacy instruction to the individual student. I have learned about many great instructional strategies
for teaching literacy but not all strategies are going to work for every student. It is important to select
strategies that build on student strengths to support the student s literacy needs (Serravallo, 2014). I
also learned that a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the story but it was not in any type of order, it was just a selection of things she had remembered from
the text. I think that I could have promoted Shuler s success in retelling by selecting a simpler text. I
struggled with finding a text that was at her reading level yet still had enough to use for the retelling
strategy. Overall, I discovered that Shuler needs more support in building her pace of reading and
keeping her accuracy when the pace increases.
I could have been better prepared for this lesson by selecting more than one text to bring with me and
by bring another guide for Shuler to read with. First, the text that I brought was a little to far above
Shuler s reading level. Because Shuler had made some progress and the book from last week was easy
for her, I wanted to bring a book that would provide some challenge for her. I was not successful in
selecting a book that met those standards. I could have been better prepared by bring a range of books
and then altering my book selection based on Schuler s current needs. I could have also been better

The Appellant For Breach Of Its Duty Of Care As An Occupier
When descending a staircase to the appellant s ice rink, the respondent lost his balance and suffered a
serious injury to his right ankle as a result. The respondent brought an action against the appellant for
breach of its duty of care as an occupier. The primary judge, Levy SC DCJ, found on the calculus of
negligence, that the risk of injury from slipping when descending wet stairs whilst wearing skates was
foreseeable, not insignificant and one which a reasonable person in the position of the appellant would
have taken precautions. The primary judge held that the appellant failed to give the respondent
adequate warnings and that the appellant was liable in negligence for the injury sustained by the
respondent. The respondent was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Similarly, Emmett JA found that if it was an obvious risk, it is presumed that the respondent was

materialised in the fall, was not obvious.
2. If so, was that duty of care contended for by the respondent to warn him of that obvious risk for the
purpose of s 5H(1) of the Act .
Meagher JA at found that the appellant did not owe a duty of care to the respondent to provide a
warning of the obvious risk, as establish in s 5F(1) of the Act . None of the specific exceptions
provided in s 5H(2) of the Act were raised, thus the respondent was not liable and the reason for
appeal upheld.
3. Whether the activity of walking down the stairs was part of the dangerous recreational activity of
ice skating within s 5K of the Act .
Meagher JA agreed with the primary judge, that the act of descending the stairs was not part of a
dangerous recreational activity but merely a preparatory act. Thus, for the purpose of s 5K and s 5L(1)
of the Act , the defence was not applicable and the ground of appeal dismissed.
4. Whether the No Responsibility sign contained a warning for the risks involved in descending the

descending the stairs with skates. Additionally, His Honour sought to

will rely on my instructors, academic counselors, graduation team, the GCU Online Library, and the
school s other resources that will give me additional help when I need them. If I feel lost or a subject
seems too difficult, then I will ask e mail my instructors and let he or she know that I am having
difficulty and that I need help. If I am feeling overwhelmed about school, I will seek the help and
advice of my academic counselor to help me come up with a solution to help me feel relaxed and not
stressed with taking online classes. I know that I will be successful if I always ask and seek help here
at GCU.
After all of this being said, I believe that I am a D1 in the development level, which is The
Enthusiastic Beginner (Low Competence/High Commitment). I would be enthusiastic and be highly
committed to doing my job if I were to have a certain position or even as a student in school on certain
levels in my program, but at the same time, I would and still do not yet know all of the ropes yet.
Right now I consider myself a very curious, inexperienced person who does quite have the skills

I will learn to develop and learn more and more skills in the near future.

The History Of Wrestling
Wrestling is a sport which was developed from ancient Olympic Games. In today s world sports such
as baseball, soccer, or football are common and have many fans; however, wrestling has history. In
understanding ancient history, the Greco Roman society and how they held Olympic Games is
important in realizing wrestling is an extremely competitive sport. As time passed, wrestling begins to
become modern and incorporated into the Athens Olympic Games in 1896, which included the Greco
Roman wrestling style (Wikipedia, 2017). The first time free style wrestling is found in the history of
wrestling is documented in 1904 at the St. Louis Olympic Games (Wikipedia, 2016). Wrestling has

The Ideologies Put Forth By Paulo Freire
The ideologies put forth by Paulo Freire including liberation education, pedagogy of the oppressed,
inequality and pedagogy of possibility gives educators hope. These are the educators who are
dedicated to bring about positive change in education and by extension society. Freire s contribution to
education through his research and theories resonates with Trinbagonian educators as it encompasses
issues of slavery, colonialism, post colonialism social mobility and democracy. Furthermore, Freire s
ontology is grounded in comprehensive philosophical underpinnings including that of John Dewey
and Jean Piaget. Their contributions have shaped education internationally as well as locally. Thus, the
authors critique of Freire s work in an attempt to restructure his theories is a worthwhile analysis and
allows for self reflection, critical thinking and the assurance of hope, in that, if education does nothing
else, it must inspire hope in reference to the school of pragmatism. Such an educational philosophy in
the words to Giroux (2007), points to a future in which democratic practices create the conditions for
each generation of youth to struggle anew to sustain the promise of a democracy that has no end point,
but that must be continuously expanded into a world of new possibilities and opportunities for keeping
justice and hope alive. (p.201)

Genocide In South Africa
While the ecumenical church was focused on preventing a post World War apocalypse, they were
neglecting a cultural genocide in South Africa. From 1948 through 1994, a legal division of white and
blacks took place. Apartheid, literally meaning a state of being apart , was racial segregation instituted
by the National Party that kept a minority white population in power over the predominant black
indigenous population.
This all originated during the Transatlantic Slave Trade during the seventeenth and eighteenth
centuries. The West Indies Company, a subsidiary of the Netherlands (the Dutch Reformed Church
being the State Church) had a colony in South Africa and when the slave trade ended, the Dutch

One of the church leaders who spearheaded the campaign to end the apartheid was Bishop Desmond
Tutu. Bishop Tutu called for the united church to be in solidarity with the voiceless in South Africa. If
the blacks voice was taken from them, the church would become their voice. But this voice would not
just demand peace, it would enact it. Desmond Tutu called upon the WCC to form an ecumenical
voice within South Africa. The South African Council of Churches (SACC) was formed and became
the voice of popular resistance that challenged the legitimacy of the apartheid state. The Kairos
Document, a critique of state theology, pronounced in 1985 that the day of judgement had come for
apartheid and that Christians must quite simply participate in the struggle for liberation . The WCC
assisted in Bishop Tutu in countless protest marches and global awareness. Desmond Tutu s approach
to ending the apartheid revolved around excluding the evil before embracing reconciliation. The South

Honey Face Mask Research Paper
Making a Honey Face Mask at Home Honey is made from flower nectar by bees and the liquid
contains fructose, glucose, and monosaccarides. People use it as a food sweetening alternative to sugar
and its chemical properties make it ideal for inclusion in recipes for baked foods. Throughout history,
honey has also been used to treat ailments and fight infection. It has become a popular skin care
ingredient and many people enjoy using a honey face mask to cleanse, moisturize, and treat their skin.
Honey is considered a humectant, which is a substance that attracts moisture from the air and directs it

such as fruit or brown sugar. A special ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Warming can be done in the microwave or by putting the honey into a glass container resting in hot
water. An acne mask is made from 1/3 cup of warmed honey, one to three crushed aspirin, and three
tablespoons coconut, olive, or almond oil. After adding the crushed aspirin to the blended honey and
oil, apply the mask to skin. After ten to 15 minutes, rinse off the mask, and pat dry the face.
Moisture is important for all types of skin, but people suffering from acne should not use lotions and
creams that clog pores. A face mask that moisturizes and fights acne is the perfect solution. It is made
from one teaspoon each of plain yogurt and warmed honey. Mix the ingredients, apply the mask to the
face, leave on for between ten and 20 minutes, rinse with lukewarm water, and pat the face dry.
There are also honey face mask recipes designed for people seeking anti fungal, anti aging,
exfoliation, and skin calming benefits using only natural ingredients. With several items from the
kitchen cabinets and refrigerator, people can whip up honey based face masks to treat nearly any skin
condition. Not only will they save money, they will also avoid applying unknown and potentially

  • 2. Refugees In Camps During The Refugee Crisis During the refugee crisis there was some international governmental and non governmental aid for the refugees in the country still those 350 000 400 000 (vidi pogore) were enormous burden for Macedonian economy. That was third reason for accommodating refugees in camps instead incorporating them in the society. Their potential influence on Macedonians economy and establishing refugees camps can be observed thru the possible impact on local and national economy. Because these two factors are very closely connected they will be elaborated and overviewed simultaneously. Refugees escaping from ethnic cleansing were arriving in Macedonia only with few necessities, and were relaying on Aid from host nation. In that time the biggest economy issue for Macedonian government was unemployment, statistic said that around 32% of the population was unemployed, or around 350 000 people. So people in order to survive were working on black market, and without insurance. At some level that was tolerated from the government because it was providing existence for people and social peace in the country. Black market and working without insurance had a big influence for local and national economy. Major concern for government if refugees were incorporated into the society was that these 350 000 400 000 refugees, in conditions of no income was more than possible that they would seek for job in the country on black market. Also around 50 000 60 000 refugees were accommodated mostly in families ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

William Baker s thesis statement was For more than a thousand years athletic festivals were an important part of Greek life. Originally mixtures of religious ceremony and athletic competition, hundreds of local festivals were held each year throughout the country and in Greek colonies in Egypt, Sicily, and the banks of the Bosporus. The argument is how festivals are important to Greek Life. The article starts out with the author talking about the four major athletic festivals, The Pythian Games, The Isthmian Games, The Nemean Games, and the Olympic Games. By the fifth century B.C. four major festivals dominated the scene, forming a kind of circuit ambitious athletes Ambitious athletes could gain a following in an event by training for and participating in these events creating a circuit for them. Religion was a big deal in Greek Culture With all their emphasis on man and his achievements, the Greeks were extremely religious. Polytheists, they looked to particular gods for assistance and blessing in every sphere of life... . The first piece of evidence William Baker shows relates to religion and how the athletic festivals are used as also a religious event The fifth and final day of the festival was devoted to a prize giving ceremony, a service of thanksgiving to Zeus, and sumptuous banquet at which the sacrificial animals were consumed. This shows that the Greeks respected the god Zeus and payed honor to him at these The Olympic Games by having a day devoted to him with prize giving and sacrifice of animals. All finally arrived at the altar of Zeus, where one hundred oxen were slain and their legs burned in homage to Zeus. The carcasses were cooked and eaten at the concluding banquet on the final day. • 4. Vietnam War As A Civic Duty And A True Testament Vietnam In the 1960s, America found itself divided among various social matters. Conformity, civil rights, and the Vietnam war. While the older generations viewed fighting in the war as a civic duty and a true testament to what it meant to be an American , the counterculture did not share this belief. Regardless of how anyone felt about the war, it had escalated to epic proportions and as one citizen put it, It was on our mind every single hour of the day (PBS CITE). Vietnam was the first war ever to be televised, and with that came constant coverage and a growing concern from young Americans. In addition, the military draft made matters worse by forced the youth America to fight. By 1968, the war in Vietnam had claimed over 15,000 American lives (CITE PBS). Between the draft and the growing American casualties, greater tension in the US was created. Young Americans had to ask themselves if the war was worth fighting. Opposition to the draft and draft evasion was the central plot element in Hair with Claude s indecision of whether or not to serve his country in Vietnam a war he does not believe in (Young, 1993, p. 71). Claude represent most of the youth of America and their confusion which was ignited by the war. His internal conflict is depicted in the song Where do I Go : Where do I go/ Follow the children (...) Targeted Therapy Targeted therapy in the treatment of cancer Student ID 39298 Class HAS 3 Word count Targeted therapy, which first became available in the late 1990s, has had a significant impact on the treatment of cancer. Currently, because of advancement in the field of technology, various types of therapies are discovered to treat cancer. In this essay, targeted therapy is defined as a therapy in which various drugs or other substances are used to recognize and kill the cancerous cells without harming the normal cell (National cancer institute, 2014). This was the first targeted therapy drug used to treat cancer. It was invented in the late 1990 s, to treat chronic myeloid leukemia and gastrointestinal stromal growth . Imatinib is tyrosine kinase inhibitors. Tyrosine kinase is a protein that cells use to signal to each other to grow (Iqbal and Iqbal, 2014, p.1). It works by preventing a tyrosine kinase enzyme and therefore inhibits growth factor induced receptor phosphorylation and blocks the PDGF/PDGFR and P13 k/Akt pathway (Kheradmand, et.al.2016, p.83). According to Richardson (2010, p.679), the drug Velcade was also known as Bortezomib is useful in the treatment of multiple myelomas. The main goal of this drug is to lower the tumor growth significantly. The American cancer society (2013, para.20) studies show Bortezomib is a proteasome inhibitor . It works by blocking or slowing down the action of proteosome is to break down protein in both healthy and cancerous cells. When proteosome activity is blocked, proteins in the cells accumulate. This accumulation may cause cells to stop growing and multiplying, and cause them to die and Sutent (Sunitinib) is a drug used to treat metastatic renal cell carcinoma. It is currently approved as a second line treatment of MRCC. Sunitinib inhibits the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor and stops the growth of tumors (Kolesar, et.al. 2008, pp.123 131). It is considered as a multi targeted kinase inhibitor because it is a type of VEGF inhibitor, an angiogenesis inhibitor, and it blocks an enzyme called tyrosine kinase. • 6. Examples Of Unsung Heroes Of American Revolution American Revolution: Unsung Heroes of Independence We hold these truths to be self evident: that all men and women are created equal. (Elizabeth Cady Stanton, 1848). During the American Revolution, America went from being an extension of Britain (and a source of revenue when needed) to an independent nation built upon the grecian idea of democracy. When people hear the names George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, or Thomas Jefferson, they easily connect them to the capable leaders and revolutionary heroes who made great contributions during America s delicate infancy. These men, along with countless others, fought for the end of the monopolization Britain held over the colonies and undyingly laid down their lives for the pursuit of freedom. However, do the names Deborah Sampson, Peter Salem, or Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben ring a bell? Women, people of color, and Europeans from all different walks of life were also swept up in the war for independence. The war did not feature people of one gender, race, or nationality. These individuals were in the flesh for all of these historical events, but, at the best, get a sentence in the history books taught in school curriculums. • 7. Descriptive Essay On Floria Located just between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, and home to famous amusement parks, museums, and beaches, it s easy to see why so many tourists get lured into visiting Florida each year. In fact, USA Today ranks the Orange State as a year round tourist destination due to its tropical weather. This means that for those of us who live in cooler climate cities, Florida could be a great way to escape those harsh winter months. There are still, however, a lot of travelers who know very little about the 27th state. In other words, when tourists think of Florida, they envision Daytona Beach, Miami, Walt Disney World, and of course, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter out in Orlando. This makes sense, because those are all beautiful places worth seeing. However, there are still some other locations throughout Florida worth visiting that remain under the radar. If you re a traveler considering going somewhere different for the upcoming holidays whether you plan on hanging out at the beach or seeing Florida s wildlife here are some places to visit in case if you find your way down to the panhandle state. Palm Beach: This city is home to the most beautiful resorts, and historic landmarks the state has to offer. Palm Beach itself is lined with countless trees and provides a large number of places to eat and shop. When s a good time to visit this beautiful city? Observation is taking place in the child s home over the course of two separate afternoons. Chris is a friendly and well spoken child who is small for his age. Chris is the youngest child in his family and both observations take place while his siblings are home. In each case one or both parents are absent. First Hour of Observation The first hour of observation takes place on a Saturday afternoon. Chris is in his living room with three of his older siblings. The children scold the toy for poor behavior such as barking at the other toys or cutting in line several times. As they continue to play, Chris begins to pretend to be the animals. He imitates the sounds the animals would make if they were real (dog barks, cat meows) but also gives each animal a distinctive human voice. The family s pet dog comes over to investigate and the children laugh when the real animal knocks a few of the toys over. They attempt to coerce the dog to play with them but quickly give up when she fails to follow directions as well as their imaginary animals do. A leaves the game and Chris continues to play, arranging the stuffed animals as if they were his audience. Eventually he loses interest in his games and joins A on the couch to look on as she plays on a tablet. He sits next to her but is upside down with his feet in the air, as if he were pedaling and imaginary bicycle. He tells an amusing though completely inaccurate story about how babies are made. His older siblings who are still in the room raise eyebrows at each other in amusement but don t correct him. Shortly following this exchange the first hour of observation comes to an end. Second Hour of Observation I chose to focus specifically on Chris s interaction with his siblings for the second observational period. • 11. Labeling Theory Deviance, like beauty, is in the eyes of the beholder. There is nothing inherently deviant in any human act, something is deviant only because some people have been successful in labelling it so. J. L Simmons The definition of the situation implies that if you define a situation as real, it is real only in its consequences. INTRODUCTION Labelling theory, stemming from the influences of Cooley, Mead, Tannenbaum, and Lemert, has its origins somewhere within the context of the twentieth century. However, Edwin Lemert is widely considered the producer and founder of the original version of labelling theory. The deviant s response to societal reaction leads to secondary deviation by which the deviant comes to accept a self image or self definition as someone who is permanently locked within a deviant role. Furthermore, the distinctiveness of the approach is that it draws attention to deviance as the outcome of social imputations and the exercise of social control. Labelling theory is very complex, making it quite different than other theories. Instead of looking at why some social groups commit more crime, labelling theory asks why some people committing some action come to be defined as deviant, while others do not. Labelling theory is also interested in the effect of labelling individuals. As well, labelling theorists note that most people commit crimes at some time in their lives but not everyone becomes defined as deviant or criminal. How does this process of defining a person as deviant work? Look at a situation where a policeman holds stereotypes about typical criminals. They use these stereotypes to interpret the behaviour of suspected deviants. Throughout his presidency he constantly abused his power as the president and did many things that expanded the powers of the president. One of the biggest things that President Jackson did while in office was pass the Indian Removal Act. The Indian Removal Act of 1830 was when Jackson forced all the Indians to move to the land acquired in the Louisiana Purchase, while the Supreme Court declared this unconstitutional. Many of the Indians went peacefully, but many of the Indians also decided to protest and take it to the Supreme Court (Darrenkamp). While the court did side with the Indians Jackson and Congress forced the Indians to give up their land. The federal troops were called in to escort the Indians to their new land. It represents the monetary value of all goods and services produced within a nation s geographic borders over a specified period of time. In other words, it s how to tell how the economy of a country is doing. It is the total dollar valued of all goods and services; the size of the economy usually in a given year. GDP first came into use in 1937 in a report to the US Congress in response to the Great Depression, after Russian economist Simon Kuznets conceived the system of measurement. The system used before was the Gross National Product (GNP). It was widely adopted in 1944 as the standard means to measure national economist. The income approach to calculate the GDP is the sum of the components. Labor income, rental income, interest income, and profits earned by households in a year. What is spent on a product is the income to those who helped to produce it and sell it. The expenditure approach, on the other hand, totals consumption, investment, government spending, and net exports produced by a country in a year. The first component of the GDP is consumption. It includes all private and public consumption, government outlays, investments, and exports minus imports that occur within a defined territory. Is normally the largest GDP component. • 14. Analysis Of Concrete Angel By Martina Mcbride Most audiences view music as a form of entertainment only, so society tends to overlook the messages behind the music. Some artists use music to promote their beliefs or inform their listeners about unnoticed issues. Music can spread awareness about misfortunes in the world, and Martina McBride uses her celebrity status to promote her own concerns about child abuse. In 2002, Martina McBride recorded a song titled Concrete Angel to spread awareness about child abuse. Her song addresses the general population, consisting of bystanders, because most people are aware of tragedies such as child abuse, but they ignore the problem. Through emotional appeals, characterization, imagery, and foreshadowing, Concrete Angel illustrates the story of a young girl s abuse in order to call the bystanders to awareness of the societal problem. Throughout the song, the story creates emotional appeal with the use of bystanders. The bystander mentioned in verse two is, The teacher wonders, but she doesn t ask/ It s hard to see the pain behind the mask (lines 5 6). The teacher s reaction is a common experience for many adults because most adults assume the child is not abused if he or she appears okay. Another bystander mentioned is, Somebody cries in the middle of the night/ The neighbors hear, but they turn out the light (15 16). Since the bystander ignores her plea for help, the audience develops sympathy for her because the girl is helpless. Sympathy is the main objective of these lyrics, and if the audience has compassion for the young girl, they might take action instead of being bystanders. Through emotional appeals, the underlying message of these lyrics attempts to persuade the listeners not to be complacent as bystanders. The artist uses music to evoke people s emotion because most people listen and relate to music. The article Martina McBride Finds Additional Voices to Express Herself Ahead of Show in North Myrtle Beach mentions, Raising awareness, she [Martina McBride] said, makes you feel something as an individual to make a difference, and we all appreciate that (Palisin). When bystanders take action, they can prevent an abusive situation and raise more awareness. Concrete Angel characterizes the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The 1920s flapper demonstrated how women could transform into something that is a part of the modern construction of women s identity. The flapper was a major part of The Roaring Twenties . The flapper was how young women sought to define themselves. Prior to the 1920s American women were seen in a very traditional light. They were meant to stay in the backgrounds of their husbands. Their dresses were meant to cover all the parts of their bodys. Women were told to follow the traditional and subservient roles. With the ending of World War 1, Europe was in ruins, America became seen as the center of the world s stage. The war caused many American women to take factory jobs as result of the men enlisting in the war effort. They took these jobs because once the husband left there was no source of income coming to the family. So the women had to go to work to receive income to feed their families. Also, they started to work at the factories so they could make guns, bombs, food, and clothes to send to the troops in Europe who were fighting in the war. The 19th Amendment was passed in 1920 by the United States Constitution that allowed women the right to vote. These satellites, referred to as NAVSTAR satellites, are constantly moving, making two complete orbits around earth per day. The first GPS satellite was launched in February, 1978. Satellites now weight approximately 1 tonne, and are about 5 metres across with extended solar panels. Through trigonometry, with a minimum of three satellites, the GPS receiver is then able to determine a latitude/longitude position, and with a further satellite, also the altitude. The accuracy of the GPS system used to be hindered principally by a source of position error called Selection Availability (SA), intentionally imposing inaccuracies of up to 100m on civilian GPS by the US Defense, the idea being that SA would prevent hostile terrorist organisations holding the maximum power of GPS. Some other factors affect accuracy the relative positions of each satellite in the sky, multi pathing (where the satellite reception is blocked/reflected by buildings, obstructions of the like) and propagation delay due to atmospheric effects. The Working Class In Edith Wharton s The House Of Mirth challenging or overcoming the marketplace is not even possible: she approaches the topic from an aristocratic perspective, which offers no alternative to the standard of a business centered society. Para. 28: Wharton nevertheless tries to overcome this impossibility by exploring it through the working class. The character of Nettie, for instance, is representative of being outside the exchange system, and therefore able to transcend the exchange system. Para. 29: Placing her hope for change within her idealized vision of the working class, Wharton seeks to find an exit from the confines of the marketplace mentality. Dimock s final argument, then, is that the House of Mirth is Wharton s critique of a system that places arbitrary values on human experiences for the sake of short term capital gain. In Debasing Exchange: Edith Wharton s The House of Mirth, Wai Chee Dimock seeks to prove how The House of Mirth acts as an illuminating critique of the society in which it is set, namely how and why social interactions are defined by an all pervasive system of exchange that ultimately defines all other aspects of the characters lives. She establishes intellectual territory in her analysis by reading closely into the myriad of relationships between the characters in the novel, attending to how their dialogue and actions are steeped in the language of business. In most cases, they have already done it at least once. Unfortunately, this does not mean that the first business was a success or that they will be able to repeat the success the first business may have had. In fact, if the first business was a failure, there are indications that the second business may fail as well. Recent research shows that instead of learning from mistakes, entrepreneurs are just as apt to be overoptimistic after failure as before. Their overoptimism remains undimmed by failure (Ucbasaran, Westhead Wright, 2011). This overoptimism can cause an entrepreneur to take on risky opportunities, fail to properly plan for the unforeseen or waste financial resources instead of looking for and finding the right opportunity. Successful entrepreneurs looking to become repeat entrepreneurs may incorrectly over focus on recreating their success that ideas for future opportunities are not as strong as the previous ones. Warren, explains her argument on the inevitable connection between the oppression of women and the oppression of nature. She further suggests that ecofeminism provides a framework to re envision feminism and create an environmental ethic which takes into account the connection between sexism and naturism. Understanding feminist issues conceptually helps to understand environmental issues. The conceptual framework of the identical dominations of women and nature is oppressive and patriarchal, which justifies the oppression. The three main components of oppressive conceptual framework are vertical thinking, or thinking in terms of rank, value dualisms, or exclusive oppositional ideas, and the logic of domination, which is the logic structured to lead to the justification of subordination.
