Characteristics of Circuits
Series Circuit:
  1. Electric current has one pathway. Current is the same in every part of the circuit
  2. Current is resisted by the first device, the resistance of the second, third etc. The
     total resistance is equal to the total of all the devices along the circuit
  3. The current in the cicuit is equal to the voltage supplied by the source divided by
     the total resistance.
  4. Total voltage across the circuit divides among the electrical devices, so the sum of
     the voltage drops across each device.
  5. The voltage drop is proportional to its resistance



Parallel Circuit:
  1. Each devise connect the two same points. Therefore voltage is the same across
     each device
  2. Total current in the circuit divides among the parallel branches. Current in each
     branch is inverse of the resistance of the branch
  3. Total current in the circuit equals the sum of the currents in the parallel branches
  4. As the number of branches increases, the overall resistance of the circuit is
     lowered.
