Duration of the Status
 The designation as COEs/CODs for Teacher
Education shall be for a period of three years
effective the date of award. If at any point based
on the monitoring by CHED, the COE/COD is
found not fulfilling its
functions/responsibilities and/or not
maintaining compliance with the criteria as
COE/COD, the designation shall be revoked.

At least 3 institutional researches for institutional policy development and program improvement in the past 5 years 5 b. At least 50% of full-time faculty had researches published in refereed journals and/or peer-reviewed creative works or at least one trade book (Textbooks, manuals, workbooks, modules) with ISBN and at least 3 articles in journal with ISSN for the past 3 years 10 c. The college has a research journal or related form of academic publication (e.g., research monograph, etc.) published at least once a year for faculty and students 5 d. At least 25% of faculty have paper/poster presentations and/or demonstration teachings in local, national and/or international fora 5 e. Leads or participates in at least one collaborative research across colleges within the institution, among institutions, and/or GOs and NGOs at least once year 5

All faculty members have master's degrees aligned to what they are teaching in the undergraduate level and must be doctoral degree holders for the graduate program 1 c. Has a graduate program in Teacher Education 1 d. There should be at least 5 specializations in the undergraduate program 0.5 e. At least 1 faculty member is a recipient of national awards in education or related field and/or leader in national professional organizations in education 1 2. Student Support System a. Must have met the requirements for a Level II accreditation 0.5

Process of Selection and Identification Application Phase Initial Paper Evaluation Ocular Inspection Identification Letter of Intent with Pertinent Documents to CHEDRO Assessment of Documents by CHEDRO  Letter of Application  Accomplished Application Form  Supporting Documents Endorsement to OPS by CHEDRO Consolidation by TPTE Technical committee conducts initial paper evaluation. Technical committee prepares and submits shortlist to Technical Panel. Technical Panel recommends short list with proposed schedules of ocular inspection of potential COEs/CODs to OPS. Technical Committee submits results to Technical Panel. Technical Panel recommends an HEI  COE 75 points and above  COD 65 to 74 points List of identified COEs and CODs shall be released through CMO upon the approval of the Commission. CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE AND CENTERS OF DEVELOPMENT for Teacher Education Programs EDUC 614 Institution Building Center of Excellence (COE)  Act as role models/leaders in teacher education programs.  Sustain and enhance research capabilities and upgrade professional or research graduate programs in Teacher Education.  Undertake activities/projects necessary in developing quality Teacher Education programs.  Accelerate the development of the Teacher Education programs through strategic developmental agenda and projects.  Develop quality instructional programs through faculty development and upgrading of facilities and library holdings.  Undertake basic and applied research activities on emerging trends and developments in the field of Teacher Education.  Undertake extension and linkages through consortia and collaborations with academe. CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE AND CENTERS OF DEVELOPMENT for Teacher Education Programs EDUC 614 Institution Building Duration of the Status  The designation as COEs/CODs for Teacher Education shall be for a period of three years effective the date of award. If at any point based on the monitoring by CHED, the COE/COD is found not fulfilling its functions/responsibilities and/or not maintaining compliance with the criteria as COE/COD, the designation shall be revoked.
