orders and restocking the warehouse, daily sales reports, and setting and meeting deadlines.

Columbia Hospitality Management – General Manager
Multiple property assignments, as needed, to turnaround slow performing locations:
• Budgetel Inn & Suites- Lithonia, GA (Jul. 2013-Oct. 2013)
Transferred back to this property to get the hotel ready to be sold. Identified and managed key
maintenance issues and priorities. Completed key repairs within the first two weeks. Managed all
aspects of daily operations including supervising all staff, cash management and reporting. With all
required renovations and repairs completed on schedule, the property was sold.
• Microtel Inn & Suites- Woodstock, GA (April 2013-Jul. 2013)
Took over as the General Manager. Took initiative to drive revenue growth by targeting sports teams
and local Woodstock events. During the summer, was able to maintain an average occupancy of 90%,
with weekends at 100%. This compares to an average occupancy rate of 70% in the previous month.
• Suburban Extended Stay- Kennesaw, GA (Oct. 2012-Apr. 2013)
Assigned to stabilize renovation and to increase occupancy after unacceptable management turnover at
the property. Managed the completion of the renovation on time and budget, and increased occupancy
20%. Renovations included major refurbishments of every room. Initiated and implemented new
pricing, obtained new vendors, hired new employees, and increased sales relations. Developed
innovative new partnerships with Kennesaw State University Athletics.
• Budgetel Inn & Suites- Lithonia, GA (Jul. 2012-Oct. 2012)
As a bank owned property, was assigned to manage operations and lead serious required renovations to
2. prepare hotel for sale. Led complete interior and exterior renovation, while maintaining daily business.
Overhauled the staff to eliminate theft and performance issues. Left this assignment with the turnaround
complete. The hotel looked and operated like an entirely new establishment.
• Baymont Inn & Suites- Macon, GA (May 2012-Jul. 2012)
Transferred as General Manager to this property that was for sale to improve operations and manage
renovations. Pursued creative marketing and sales efforts that led to booking three groups of 20+ rooms.
Trained an assistant manager who stayed as the general manager once the property was sold in July.
• Microtel Inn & Suites- Smyrna, GA (Oct. 2011-May 2012)
Promoted and brought in as General Manager to manage property and turnaround failing renovations
that left almost half of rooms unusable. The first couple of months were focused on renovations to the
entire hotel as well as setting up contracts with new vendors. Within 3 months every room was back up
to operating standards. Terminated and hired multiple employees due to budget and performance, created
a great staff (front desk, maintenance, and housekeeping). Increased occupancy by utilizing online sales
resources as well as cold calls.
• Suburban Extended Stay- Woodstock, GA (Jun. 2011-Oct. 2011)
Promoted to Assistant General Manager of both the Kennesaw and Woodstock locations. Took initiative
to build occupancy by gaining local business through fliers, cold calls, and special deals. Assisted in
renovations to the hotel (a/c, beds, furniture, etc.) as it was up for sale. After a few months, the property
was successfully sold
• Suburban Extended Stay- Kennesaw, GA (Jun. 2010-Oct. 2011)
Started as the Lead Front Desk Sales associate and was quickly promoted to Assistant General Manager.
Responsible for opening and closing of the front office, ensuring accuracy of deposits and cash
management, guest management, daily operations and daily corporate reporting. Led sales and
marketing efforts to gain new clientele by sales calls, emails, and fax. Regularly went above and beyond
duties to ensure the best operations possible.

at ends of employee shifts and workday, service area cash drawer close outs, running end of day reports, and

locations. Was then promoted to Sales Manager (Oct. 2007) at a brand new store in Acworth. Was transferred
to the Woodstock location (a higher volume store) due my motivation to get the sale and friendly, upbeat
personality to gain new and retain current customers. Improved the store's sales numbers and gained a
