Long bones can be found in the legs and provide strength, structure, and mobility by acting as levers with muscles. They contain marrow for blood cell production. Flat bones provide protection for organs and provide no movement. Irregular bones provide support and protection, like vertebrae for the spinal cord. Short bones provide stability and support with little movement in hands, feet and wrists. Hinge and ball-and-socket joints allow movement like bending knees and rotating shoulders. Semi-movable joints move the neck and immovable joints do not move but protect like skull bones. Cardiac muscle pumps blood and skeletal muscle provides structure and strength while smooth muscle aids digestion.

Hope so it will be helpful to you...........
The framework of bones and cartilage which gives shape and support to the body an animal is called skeleton. Skeletal structure is composed of hard material which is made up of calcium called bones. The human skeleton is made up of 206 bones. In human beings, the skeleton is present in side the body, so it is called endoskeleton.

Lameness in the Performance Horse (Rashmir)Gwyn Shelle
This webcast provides an overview of state-of-the art diagnosis and treatment of lameness in the performance horse. Lameness evaluation, techniques for diagnosing lameness (gait analysis, thermography, digital radiography, ultrasonography, and MRI) and current treatments for common lameness are covered.
A summary for learning the muscles of the upper limb including their attachments, innervation, etc., without having to have too many books open. Resources: "Gray’s Anatomy", "Taschenatlas der Anatomie" and Wikipedia. Awaiting further proof-reading!

Structure (provide labelled diagram) Describe the
function (job)
of the tissue.
Also state one
location in the
body where it
can be found.
Long bone Long bones can
be found in the
legs and even the
femur. These
hard, but dense
bones provide
strength,
structure and
mobility. They act
as levers,
working with our
muscles to
provide rapid
moment and
strength. They
contain both
yellow and red
bone marrow
which is vital for
blood cell
production.
Flat bone Flat bones can be
found on the
skull, scapula and
even the
shoulder blade.

2. They provide
protection for
the heart, lungs
and the brain.
These bones
provide no
moment,
anchored in their
place.
Irregular
bone
Irregular bones
cannot be
described in any
way such as
short, flat or
long. They
provide major
mechanical
support for the
body, as well as
protection. For
example, the
vertebrae
protects the
spinal cord.

3. Short bones Short Bones can
be found in the
wrist, hand,
above the ankle,
and in the feet.
They provide
stability and
support, but
provide little
movement.
Hinge joint Hinge joints can
be found in the
knee and elbows,
they provide
moment,
allowing legs and
arms to bend and
move
Ball and
Socket joint
The ball and
socket joint can
be found in the
shoulder and hip
joints only. They
play a major part
in movement,
allowing for
swinging and
rotation motion.

Semi-
moveable
joint
The semi move-
movable joint is
located in the
neck, and allows
movement up to
90° to have a
better view of
our surroundings.
Immoveable
joint
Immoveable
joints give
support and
protection. These
bones have no
movement. For
example, the
bones which hold
the skull together
support and
protect the brain.

5. Cardiac
muscle
Cardiac Muscles
are used to
support the
heart, and help
pump the blood
around the body.
The left side of
the heart is
thicker because
of the increased
area of the heart.

Skeletal muscles
help support the
