 It is your bones , skull and ribcage .
It‘s main function is to provide shape
and support for your body. For
example the spinal cord provides
support for the head.

3. Interesting facts about bones
 The hard parts that you can feel are the bones.
 There are 350 bones for new born baby and
206 for an adult.
 The human hand wrist contains 54 bones.
 They are joined together to form a bony framework
called the skeleton or skeletal system.

4. Skeletal System
The skeletal system consists of mainly the skull, the
spine or backbone and the ribs.

5. Functions of skeletal system
 Without the skeletal system , we would be shapeless and
moveable .The skeleton helps To keep the organs in the body
safe.
 They protects the delicate internal organs of the body
e.g:brain is protected by skull, backbone is protected by
spinal cord. It helps move the parts of the body to run ,walk
and jump.
 The place where two bones meet is called joint .The joins
allow you to bend, turn and move different parts of body e.g.
the shoulder joint and the knee joint.

keep your bones strong and
