The Nuclear Bomb Of Hiroshima And Nagasaki
Who is good and who is Evil? Many of us go through life thinking that whatever we do must be
what is good, never questioning authority and blindly following a government that is thought to
be incapable of doing evil. After World War II, many Americans felt a sense of nationalism. They
were proud of the fact that their military destroyed Nazi Germany and Imperialist Japan. However
this euphoric patriotism can often blind the holder. In August of 1945, the United States Military
dropped two nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. There were noble reasons for dropping
the bombs, but surely destroying two entire cities questions the integrity of the United States. So
again I ask, who is good and who is evil? After the events of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the United
States was eager to learn more about the impacts of nuclear devices on the environment. The United
States set up several nuclear bomb tests on the Marshall Islandsin which they properly planned for.
However one test, code named Operation Castle, went horribly wrong. Scientists involved in the
test claim they expected an explosive yield of four to six megatons, but instead a yield of fifteen
resulted. For reference, this is one thousand times greater than the yields of both the Hiroshima and
the Nagasaki nuclear bombs (Huard). Many people believe this was merely a lapse in judgement,
however I believe there is evidence that the United States government intentionally created a
disaster in order to study the effects of

Compare And Contrast To Build A Fire And Into The Wild
The Newcomer in the short story To Build a Fire by Jack London and Chris McCandless in the film
Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer both embark on an exciting and exhilarating journey through the
Alaskan wilderness. As the two characters progress through their expeditions, Chris McCandless
and The Newcomer exhibit many similar and differing traits. Bravery, determination, and
independence are traits that both The Newcomer and Chris McCandless display throughout their
journey; however, the two main characters differ in kindness, creativity, and intelligence.
Firstly, Chris McCandless and The Newcomer both exhibit determination, bravery, and
independence as the two begin to face obstacles in their journeys across the Alaskan wilderness.

Furthermore, McCandless burns his money, donates his life savings to charity, and abandons
his car because he is determined to destroy all aspects of his past life. Chris desires to start a new
life because he is trying to escape a world filled with materialism and the false security of his
parents wealth. Similarly, The Newcomer exhibits a strong sense of determination in his
adventures as he continues to fight for his life after [he breaks] through (71) the ice and begins to
freeze to death. Additionally, The Newcomer is determined to build a second fire despite the
snow [falling] without warning upon (73) the man s first attempt at building a fire to thaw his feet.
Apart from determination, Chris McCandless exhibits bravery throughout his travels as he
deliberately places himself in uncomfortable or dangerous circumstances. For example, Chris
chooses to overcome his fear of the ocean, in an act of bravery, by plunging into the waves.
Additionally, Chris continues to demonstrate bravery and assurance in his self sustainability as he
trudges into the rough Alaskan terrain with little else but a rifle, a journal, a camera, and a large
bag of rice. In the same manner, The Newcomer exhibits bravery as he

Examples Of Mercy And Compassion
There are so many ways on how to practice mercy and compassion. There are three simple steps
given to us by Pope Francis during his apostolic visit here in the Philippines on how to become
ministers of mercy and compassion. First is to rest with God. Second is to renew one s self.
Third is to love others. Pope Francis tells us that To be an ambassador for Christ means to invite
everyone to a renewed personal encounter with Christ. (Evangelii Gaudium). A renewed personal
encounter with Christ is witnessed when we rest with God. Rest is very crucial to everyone s life.
But some people seldom have time to rest due to hectic schedules and for some students are
overflowing homeworks. Rest is very important that even God rested during the 7th... Show more

And also there are people that we love so much but doesn t return our love back. Real love is
about loving God, and letting Him love us back. Another way of practicing mercy and
compassion is to love others. Loving others unlike the renewal of one s self focuses on giving love
to other people. Loving others is bringing Jesus to others. Loving others is not just about giving
them what they need, it s about teaching them how to provide for themselves. Let us practice mercy
and compassion by resting with God, renewing ourselves, and loving others. During the season of
lent we reflect on the passion, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Lent is a source
of mercy and compassion in a way that we practice fasting and abstinence and as much as
possible drink water. Water has a chemical formula of H2O which means, H for Honesty, H for
Humility, for being humble enough to admit your mistakes, and O for Obedience, for obeying the
people in authority like our parents. These 3 are the sources of mercy and compassion. That s why
we should be honest, humble and obedient. Always drink H20 on the season of Lent. The author
spent his holy week in the Philippines.

The Tour Of Your Life
THE TOUR OF YOUR LIFE
It was mid October in Rosewood. The adults were working at their jobs and most of the children
were attending school at the Palm Valley School District. It was a pretty normal life here for James
Miles, who was currently attending eighth grade at Palm Valley Middle School. He had a few
friends, had pretty good grades, and was enjoying his life quite fine as it was. At the time, he was
sitting on the walkway during recess, thinking intriguing things while waiting for lunch.
Yo, James! Come ere! knocked James out of my train of thought.
Dad gum it, Robert, always interrupting my thoughts... Ugh... James thought to himself as he stood
up from where he was sitting and walked over to where Robert was. Oh, and Robert ... Show more

This was one of the flyers the school prints out every Monday morning that tells about the foods the
cafeteria will serve each day and all the events happening during the week. James read through the
handout, looking for events that would happen that day. After reading through the lunch section, he
finally came to the Occasion Section.

Okay, kids! Here are all the things you have to look forward to this week! Have fun!
MONDAY
There will be a Student Council meeting at 11:30 during lunch.

There will be a drawing to go to a tour of the band
That s about as far as he got before widening his eyes a bit. The tour was for Verdant Harmony.
That was his favorite band. He couldn t believe it. There was no way this was real. They were
giving away tickets to the Verdant Harmony band tour? No way! He slowly looked up at Robert,
who had a super wide grin on his face. So, what do you think? asked Robert, waiting for the
response he knew was coming. James stood motionless for a minute in disbelief. Uhhh... How do
you think we can win this, though? There are about three hundred twenty students in the school!
What are the odds one of us is going to win? asked James concernedly. Honestly, having the odds
of two out of three hundred is a pretty bad circumstance, especially since they were going for two

Administrative discretion and enforcement discretion are the two types of discretion.
Administrative discretion is the officer having the freedom to make fair decisions about the
corse of action to be taken. Enforcement discretion is how officers enforce the laws while
making sure that order is kept within the area. Three variables used when understanding
discretion used by officers include offender, situational, and system varialbes. Offender variables
consist of things such as the sex, ethnic background or even the age of offender. Situational
variables are considered to be how serious the offense is, such as a minor speeding violation
compared to a hit and run. System variables are described as the relationship the offender has to
certain groups of people, such as if they are a relative to another officer, the attitude of the

Video On Underage Drinking
The video on underage drinking further highlighted information that I was already aware of.
Over the last several years, I have seen multiple news stories covering the Midwest s drinking
problem. According to Bustle.com, Lincoln was found to be one of the top ten drunkest cities in
America. This doesn t come as much of a shock to me. Drinking is part of Nebraska s culture.
Small Nebraska towns are full of drinkers; even minors are allowed to participate. Even though I
am from a small town, I didn t drinkuntil I was in college, and even then I did so in a responsible
manner. My family and friends never encouraged or participated in drinking, so I never really felt
the need to. However, the same can t be said for many of my high school peers.

Alcoholism In The Navajo Reservation
Alcoholism The term alcoholism is a substance that is obtains through the mouth into the stomach,
giving the individual a sudden feel of the alcohol. It s an addiction to the consumption of alcoholic

A man or a woman suffers, they have a distinct physical desire to consume alcohol beyond their
capacity to control it, regardless of all rules of common sense. The symtoms of being an
alcoholic is having rituals and being irritated/annoyed when these rituals are disturbed or
commented on. This could be drinks before/during/after meals or after work. Dropping hobbies
and activities the person used to enjoy; losing interest in them. A person who abuses alcohol
may have many of these signs and symtoms but they do not have the withdrawal symtoms like
an alcoholic does, nor the same degree of compulsion to drink. Then comes along, binge
drinking. When a woman consumes over six units and a man consumes more than eight units of
alcohol in one sitting. Sipping wine, beer, or spirits three or four times per week increases the
risk of binge drinking. Men who drink 22 or more units of alcohol a week have a 20% higher rate
of admissions into acute care hospitals than non drinkers. Healthy young adults who regularly
binge drink may have a higher risk of heart disease later in life. Underage drinking should not be a
normal part of growing up. It s a serious and persistent public health problem that puts our young
people and our communities in danger. Even though drinking is often glamorized, the truth is that

The Death Of Ivan Ilych By Leo Tolstoy
In The Death of Ivan Ilych by Leo Tolstoy, he shows how the majority of society is selfish.
Tolstoy suggests how even though there is so much selfishness in society, there are some
exceptional people who do not follow social conventions and are the prime example of how
people in a society should be. This paper will argue that being selfless is important in society and
that people should deviate from individualistic behavior and concentrate more on the collective
behavior. Through this careful examination it will be revealed that although a person should think
about how to advance themselves in the social hierarchy, it cannot be their only goal and people
need to combine it with it a more humanistic goal as well. According to Tolstoy, society... Show

He introduces the character as Gerasim, the butler s assistant. He is content with the little that
that he has. He is the only one in the story who believes that death will come to everyone. Other
people in society think that death only comes to other people and will not come to them. This is
exemplified by Peter, who feels that this had happened to Ivan Ilych and not to him, and that it
should not and could not happen to him... began to ask with interest about the details of Ivan
Ilych s death, as though death was an accident natural to Ivan Ilych but certainly not to himself
(Tolstoy 9). Through the thought process of Peter, Tolstoy shows how society views death.
Gerasim is also the only one in the story who shows empathy towards Ivan Ilych. He cares about
other people. He doesn t feel that helping Ivan is a burden, but more as a way of soothing a
dying man. As Ivan observed, He saw that no one felt for him, because no one even wished to
grasp his position. Only Gerasim recognized it and pitied him. And so Ivan Ilych felt at ease only
with him. He felt comforted when Gerasim supported his legs (sometimes all night long) Tolstoy(
42). This illustrates how Gerasim didn t mind his own inconvenience for the comfort of his
master. Tolstoy portrays how most people in society have a lot more financial and social status,
but they are missing the essential meaning of life. However, even though Gerasim lacks these
advantages that other people have, he is the one who is the happiest. This is because he has all the
components; selflessness, love for everyone, and a strong sense of empathy which makes up a

Rhetorical Analysis Of Obama Speech
President Barack Obama addresses the citizens of Greece respectfully by learning some of their
language, and attempting to make them feel as if they are equals. He began his speech with the
Greek terms, Yias sas! Kalispera! This phrase translates to Hello, good evening! This speech was
a praise to democracy, reminding people of its birthplace, Greece. The idea of Democracy, or
Demokratia, emerged twenty five centuries ago giving the people the right to rule. This speech is
also directed towards young adults, and having the freedom to share their ideas and control their

Additionally, he emphasized the role of democracy in maintaining healthy and practical interactions
that arise. He supports that statement, through the use of anaphora, by listing references of
numerous achievements of the United States during his presidency. Achievements such as being
able to disarm Iran of its nuclear weaponry as well as re establish relations with Cuba, through
the recruitment of diplomacy. He states, ...with diplomacy, we were able to shut down Iran s
nuclear war...With diplomacy, the United States opened relations with Cuba. With diplomacy, we
joined Greece and nearly 200 nations... He continues, by sharing his faith in democracy that
continuously brings political and social stability. He is confident that progress is possible,
although it is earned. Again, he uses parallelism to ease uncertainty saying, History does not
move in a straight line. Civil rights in America did not move in a straight line. Democracy in
Greece did not move in a straight line. The evolution of a unified Europe certainly has not moved
in a straight line. Implementing the system is a considerable challenge in America because it is so
often characterized by racial, religious, and cultural diversity. The flaws of democracy are
unarguably evident in Greek society, as politicians are hesitant due to political costs. Again, he uses
anaphora to focus on the

journey begins with a call to departure, which embarks a new quest. Followed by mentors who aid

Gregory Orr s heroic quest starts when he is traumatized by guilt from accidentally ending the
life of his little brother. That moment in his life was a traumatizing factor for himself. Gregory
Orr whole journey is based on the effect the accident had on his consciousness and judgement on
himself. At this point he doubts himself as a decent human being and is clouded with guilt from
reoccurring thoughts . I believe Gregory Orr s incident causes a dramatic negative emotion and
guilt that makes any possible comfort seem reasonable for him to gain no matter the cost. Any

How Did Technology Shape American Culture
Technology and music have always been interlinked. As technology improves ways of recording
and distributing music improves. Over history we have gone from scratchy records to clear and
portable MP3s. New and innovative technology have helped to shape America s culture as a nation.
In 1877 the first human voice was recorded by Thomas Edison using tinfoil. He was attempting to
improve the telegraph when he realized that when he moved tape through the machine it made a
noise that sounded similar to speech. He then placed a stylus on to a cylinder made of tinfoil and
spoke the words of Mary had a little lamb into the makeshift machine.

Before music radio stations broadcasted things such as sermons, sports and the news. Department
stores would also have their own stations and they used them to advertise their merchandise.
In 1926 the Radio Corporation of America (RCA) began the National Broadcasting Network
(NBC). These were groups of stations that worked with local stations to syndicate radio shows.
These shows focused mostly on music and featured several different live performers. The types of
music were diverse and could vary from country to jazz.
The Golden Age of Radio was the time period of 1930 1955. During this time was the great
depression and radio was a way to listen to music and receive the news for free. It was a cheap way
to have entertainment instead of more expensive ways such as going to a live concert or the movies.
Eventually radio shows and broadcasts about news decreased in popularity. All that was left was
music. Radio networks transitioned to playing prerecorded music of popular artists. The most
popular type of station was a station that plays Top 40. Top 40 is the top 40 songs on the music
charts in that particular time period. FM or radio was introduced soon after this and it instantly
became popular because it offered music in a high

Unit 3 Deployment

first few days of my third deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. As a Sergeant, I

twenty two scouts, a medic, a forward observer (FO), and eight HMMWV s. We received eight

deployment. I was a team leader in my platoon s Bravo section. Our squadron was first assigned
to FOB Falcon. After four months, we were relocated to COP Fish (later renamed COP Derby).
COP Fish was located 10 miles south of FOB Falcon, down a road that was known as Chicken Run.
The COP was surrounded by vast amounts of mud huts, empty fish ponds, and several chicken huts,
where insurgents were known to conduct random attacks on United Statessoldiers. The insurgents
in the area were known to use both direct and indirect fire. Our squadron was tasked to clear all

Depiction of Etruscan and Roman Women in History
The Etruscan society allegedly migrated from Tuscany or Lydia. (Klien, 166) Much of what
scholars know regarding Etruscan society is based on funerary artwork. The Etruscans did not
keep any written records of their activity. What we know about Etruscan lifestyle is based on their
artwork left behind. Early on Etruscan society had a lot of contact with the Greeks that reflect in
much of the Etruscan works of art. The distinction in Etruscan art and Greek art is clearly seen
through the Etruscan representation of couples in art. The pieces in this collection will attempt to

When it comes to leadership and being a leader I feel that a strong leader whom is inspiring is
one with a strong emotional intelligence. A leader who demands attention with strong emotion isn

effectiveness often ends up on top since they are more capable of solving drastic complex problems
and are able to adapt to situations changing faster than someone without emotional intelligence
effecting them. To see a leader have a personal behavior competencies such as emotional
intelligence strike and come out on top when many feel a leader with emotionwouldn t be as strong
is boundless since it shows that strong leaders do have emotions and also do face personal issues
which make them relatable and in my opinion, more relatable/likeable since they can come to a
level of personal experience when dealing with employees or peers.
Personal Definition of Leadership
In my opinion, Leadership is someone who takes action, is influential, motivational, and has success
and partakes in equal responsibility in a group or organization. This means that as a leader they
guide and motivate team members in a positive uplifting way but if they make mistakes they
positively guide them in the correct direction. One

Moral Disagreement By Kwame Anthony Appiah
All around the world today, there is a lot of tension revolving around concepts of morality. In
Moral Disagreement by Kwame Anthony Appiah, Appiah writes about differing values and
morals around the world and within our society. He points out, we aren t the only people who
have the concepts of right and wrong, good and bad; every society, it seems, has terms that
correspond to these thin concepts (658). However, these concepts are not always the same with
each other in every society. In the same way that not everyone in our society believes in the same
moral concepts. Unfortunately, it is these disagreements that often separate us as people. Forming
different cultures, large and small, throughout the world. This is not a bad thing, but it does
separate us as a race, leaving us to care more for one group of people rather than humanity as a
whole. In Patriotism and Cosmopolitanism, by Martha Nussbaum, Nussbaum suggest that a way to
fix this problem, and to become a cosmopolitan person, is to teach students in our education
systems more of different cultures throughout the world. Yet not only should we learn to accept
other cultures and their beliefs, but we should also educate ourselves to accept everybody we
meet, giving respect to them as individuals, if we ever truly want to become a citizen of the world.
Acceptance is a quality that is lacking within the world. Many people do not want to accept that, for
example, not everybody thinks like the. In recognition of this

Nazi Oppression Of Sports In The 1936 Summer Olympics
The 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany was a key moment whereby African American
and Jews used sports to politically challenge the Nazi ideology of Aryan supremacy and non
Aryan inferiority. Paul Taylor argues that sports is one of the most powerful weapons in the
hands of those suffering under racial prejudice or political oppression. During the 1936
Olympics, Hitler dialed down the anti Semitic propaganda due to international pressures, but in
official Nazi sporting hand books it specifically targeted Jews and African American s as being
physically inferior to the Aryan race as they lacked athletic ability. Also, Nazi theorists like Kurt
Munch claimed that Jews and Blacks were feeble athletes and had never achieved any success in
athletics. The creator of the Olympic games, Baron Pierre de Coubertin, believed that the Olympic
games encouraged people to look beyond the interests they had in common by bringing the best
athletes from every country, culture, and race, and giving them a platform where they could earn
respect and admiration based on skill and not race, creed, or nationality. Although, African
Americans and Jews did not voice their political beliefs they used their athletic skill and would
have acquired praise from Coubertin because they directly challenged Hitler s ideology that non
Aryan s were inferior.Jessie Owens, who was a famous African American sprinter, fought back
against Hitler s racial stereotypes of Blacks by winning four gold medals

Using The Computers For Personal Websites
It has come to my attention as well as the Deputy Chief, that there has been an incident that
involved the misconduct use of the computers for personal websites. The resources that we have
in the office is strictly for official use only, and not for personal usage. As of today myself and the
Deputy Chief of Policehave decided that there will a zero tolerance policy when it comes to
personal use of the computers. The zero tolerance policy is there for the protection of you and
the police department. We are striving to deal with this issue in a fast and organized fashion to
ensure that any and all parties involved will be able to turn back to work as soon as possible. In
addition, with this in mind all person s identification numbers and passwords are being recorded,
every time that you log onto the computers and input your identification number and password
will be displayed to the computer analysis. And once the report is in it will be sent to me at the
end of the day, and you will be notified at the end of your shift. This is established by you signing
off on the report, this states that you are consenting to using the computer at such time and day.
Once it is established that your identification number is being used for improper usage of the
computers, there will no longer be a formal warning. You will automatically receive a suspension
without pay until such event is resolved, and you will have to take a mandatory class on the

Relationship Between IPT And CBT
Several studies suggest that CBT and IPT may have specific effects when competently

moderation with respect to severity, specific effects were found only among patients with more

1.Explain why some bird types would survive and reproduce more on certain islands.
Some bird types would survive and reproduce more on certain islands because it depends on the
climate and the environment. Also, it depends on the types of beaks that birds have and the food
that is available in that Island. In other words, birds can only survive and reproduce more if they
are adapted to that environment like the climate in that island and their specific type of food/habitat
they need to survive.

The Lighthouse of Alexandria was located in Alexandria, Egypt the Pharos was actually located
on the tiny limestone island that sat in front of the harbor, it was built on the island of Pharos, to

290 BC and took 20 years to complete, it also was the first lighthouse as well as the tallest
building in the world at the time, except for the Great Pyramid and that is also why it was
considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The Lighthouse stood and used until 2
earthquakes, in 1303 and 1323, reduced it to rubble. In 1994, underwater archaeologists located
some of the remains of the lighthouse in the Alexandrian Harbor, and more have recently been

The Federal Reserve System Essay
The Federal Reserve System
Even before the creation of the Federal Reserve, banks were used by the public just as we use
them today. Deposits were made into savings accounts. Loans were taken out to mortgage a home
or finance a new business. Banknotes were issued and spent when the public borrowed from the
banks. Borrowers spent these banknotes just as paper money is spent today. These bank notes
were valued as money since they were backed by the promise that they would be exchanged on
demand for either gold or silver.
There was the occasionally belief on behalf of the public that banks would not be able to, or
outright refuse to honor their banknotes. This fear, if held by enough of a community, could lead to

These actions led to the fall in prices of securities. Loans were liquidated and borrowing from
banks and other lenders became difficult. Interest rates would rise rapidly and sharply. This type of
financial hardship led to the liquidation of bank credit. Over a long enough span, this liquidation
would lead to money crises (Federal Reserve System 5th ed pp. 10 11). These periods of financial
panics along with the inelastic money supply had long beleaguered the country. Bank failures,
business bankruptcies, and unstable economic development were results of the lack of a central
banking system (Federal Reserve System 8th ed. pp. 6 7). The Panic of 1907 was a bank run of
epic proportions that exacerbated the problem. Depositors withdrew their savings from the second
and third largest banks in the country. These banks were not able to generate enough funds to
cover the demand and subsequently closed their doors. Their closings rapidly spread fear across
the country leading to one of the largest runs on the banks the nation had ever witnessed
(Schlesinger pp. 41).
Fortunately, J.P. Morgan, the exorbitantly rich New York businessman came to the aid of the
financial system. He organized a group of bankers who shifted their funds to the failing banks.
Depositors were assured their savings were protected and could be withdrawn whenever they
wanted. The demand subsided and

The Great Depression and the New Deal Essay example
Great Depression The Great Depression and the New Deal In response to the Stock Market
Crash of 1929 and the Great Depression, Franklin D. Roosevelt was ready for action unlike the
previous President, Hubert Hoover. Hoover allowed the country to fall into a complete state of
depression with his small concern of the major economic problems occurring. FDR began to show
major and immediate improvements, with his outstanding actions during the First Hundred Days.
He declared the bank holiday as well as setting up the New Dealpolicy. Hoover on the other hand;
allowed the U.S. to slide right into the depression, giving Americans the power to blame him.
Although he tried his best to improve the economy s status during the... Show more content on

The relationship between the federal government and the American people changed radically. The
government now had a more powerful affect on people s social and economic lives. During
Herbert Hoover s administration any mistakes were made after the Stock Market crash. After the
crash during the depression Hoover took action but made a few mistakes along the way. Many
of Hoover s acts were passed by congress and signed by Hoover himself. His worst offense was
the Smoot Hawley Tariff, which raised tariffs. The raising of tariffs was the worst possible thing
that could have occurred. Hoover tried his best to reassure the country that the economy would
become improved, although it actually worsened. To improve things after the crash Hoover
prepared all Federal Departments to speed up public works. He did this with hopes to generate
supplementary jobs and bring back the economy. As well, Hoover asked congress if they would
reduce spending, and use what was no longer required to restart public works. Unfortunately for
Hoover a collapse in Europe and a change in foreign trade caused prices for United States
manufactured goods and farm equipment. After this occurrence President Hoover asked congress
once again for more money, his time he wanted the money for farm loans and to establish the
Reconstruction Finance Corporation, which would be used to help buildings in need as well as
banks and railroads. With all of Hoovers efforts by July 1932 the Depression began

The Culture Of Asian American And Being Labeled As An Ethnic
Preface
In this essay, I attempted to lay bare the issues of being an Asian American and being labeled as an
ethnic other in modern America. This label of other causes them to become marginalized and lose
their sense of identity, belonging neither to Western culture nor Eastern culture. In order help stop
this loss of identity in Asian Americans, we must tear down the social construct of the other and
integrate the different cultures into the melting pot of popular culture. Once we have stopped
alienating different cultures, we can then have a moral society that upholds diversity and identity.
The Struggles of the Other
The apparent dominance of White Europeans in America results in a common set of values,
beliefs, and norms that are endorsed by Whites, leading to an America whose vision is filtered
through the lens of the White European perspective. This established vision and power creates the
social construct of the ethnic other. As an ethnic other in America, my analysis incorporates my
personal experiences and the experiences of those around me. In a nation that has a population so
diverse in personal and collective identities, problems regarding morality and culture can arise. In
the America of the past and present, the norm by which all are measured against is that of a
heterosexual White European. This norm creates a conflict with the marginalized groups who wish
to gain acceptance by and into the dominant culture, but are not allowed to do so due to their

Constantine s Use Of Constantinople As A Site Of Byzantium
Constantinople was a city strategically built both on the outside and inside. Constantine founded
Constantinople on the remains of Byzantium for economic and military reasons, which were
excellently seen through in the city. With the benefits of those actions, Constantine developed a
rich and religious community for his citizens. The site of Byzantium was located on a peninsula
and therefore had innate advantages with trade and protection. Being surrounded by water meant
trade across the Black Sea from the front and two ports on the sides. This led to economic
diversity and prosperity. The water also served as a means of protection, as invaders were not
likely to attack via fleet. With danger primarily coming from one side of the city, a

Application of a Differentiation Strategy in an Organization
Technology Strategic Analysis
Porter defines cost leadership, differentiation and focus, as the basic business strategies for an
organization to gain competitive advantages. An effective competitive strategy should be based on
the organization s goals and objectives as well as the market situation (Allen Helms, 2006). Hotel
ICON is an independent teaching hotel focusing on creative and innovative design and services. As
the slogan Unlike Any Other illustrates, Hotel ICON strives to create a unique hotel experience for
customers instead of a stereotype one that they can gain in most chain hotels. This indicates that the
hotel is following a differentiation strategy to gain competitive advantages in the Hong Kong hotel
market by providing stylish design supplemented by the revolutionary technology trend (Hotel
ICON, 2011).
An organization applying differentiation strategy may focus on providing unique product or
services which emphasizing on quality service, innovation as well as the revolutionary technology
trend (Allen Helms, 2006). By applying differentiation strategy, organizations usually could achieve
higher customer loyalty by providing customers unique and high quality services. They are also
likely to gain higher revenue because customers may be willing to pay more for the value added
experiences. Since Hotel ICON mainly adopts differentiation strategy, high technology elements are
involved throughout almost all aspects of Hotel ICON s operations, such as the

Beowulf and Grettir s Saga Essay
Beowulf and Grettir s Saga
IN THE DEAD OF THE NIGHT, someone or something, is murdering the local townsfolk. As fate
provides, a stranger marches into the local bar announcing his intention to kill the menacing outlaw.
The fiend returns to the scene of his crimes, and, as predicted, the outsider fights and mortally
wounds the brute, which limps off to a hidden lair. The hero and his comrade(s) track the wounded
villain to an underwater cave and the ensuing fray results in the death of the criminal s sidekick.
The stranger/hero explores the cave, discovering the carcass of the original fugitive, treasure and
booty. Meanwhile, the stranger s posse thinks the hero is dead and abandons him. The hero s
surprising return marks the end of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is historical evidence that the Anglo Saxon Beowulf was composed, or more exactly
transcribed, 900 years earlier than Grettir s Saga. According to Howell Chickering, Jr. there is
only one piece of verifiable historical data in Beowulf, Hygelac s death in 521 during a raid on
the Frisians (247). It is believed Grettir s Saga was originally written in Icelandic, sometime in
the early 14th century (Killings 1). Beowulf s scop describes the fluctuation of oral composition
by saying he, found new words, bound them up truly, / began to recite Beowulf s praise / a well
made lay of glorious deed, / skillfully varied his matter and style (871a 874b). The time gap
between the two works can be narrowed to 400 years if one considers Beowulf s transcription point
in the 10th century, and Grettir s Saga in the 14th century. Chickering asserts Grettir s Saga and
Beowulf, go back independently to a common original (254), and are not evolutionary partners.
The plot outlined above illustrates the many close parallels of books 64 to 67 of Grettir s Saga
and the first book of Beowulf. However, the underlying religious tenor shifts significantly from
work to work. Grettir s Saga immediately identifies itself as a Christian tale through the
introduction of a priest who, after becoming the stranger s sidekick, banishes the hero. Grettir s
monster only appears at Yuletide, a time of Christian festivity formalized by

Fascism In Russia
After World War One, many people yearned to return to normalcy; however, those desires were
rendered by the carnage and destruction caused by the war. In the twentieth century, fascism was a
response to many complicated social challenges and to the spread of Western liberal democracy.
For the growing fascist movements, the period after the First World War was seen as a time to
bring change to the nature of society, state, and international policies and laws. The rise of fascism
in Europe started in the early 1900 s due to cultural pessimism, the tragic consequences caused by
the war, and the incapability of liberal democratic regimes to cope with the war s consequences.
After the Second World War, people can argue that fascism has long disappeared

The current global economic and political climate has promoted the question of whether fascism is
on the rise again. Vladimir Putin is one of the few current world leaders who has shown fascist
tendencies. Putin s Russia has many elements that are reminiscent of the early 1900 s fascism.
There are many similarities between Putin s Russia and the fundamental principles of classical
fascism. Putin asserts Russian power by putting pressure on weak neighboring states, and slams
the West s criticism of his policies and actions. By annexing Crimea and supporting pro Russian
separatists in eastern Ukraine in 2014, Russia was able to justify its military patriotic
mobilization of society and the transformation of Russia into a besieged fortress (Motyl, 2016,
pg. 29). The annexation of Crimea made Russian citizens feel a wave of vicarious optimism.
Putin s bully attitude and aggression are supposed to manifest Russian ethnic and cultural
revitalization after decades of decline. Similar to Mussolini, Putin is building his regime on the
promises of greatness, the display of military force, and the campaign to make Russia great again.
Putin s actions and policies provide the Russian citizens with a sense of national pride, which has
been lacking since the post Soviet era. He continues to pursue strategies and policies that restore
Russian pride while consolidating power and influence in Russia. Putin lacks of interest in engaging
with Western politics has also contributed to the rise of his popularity at

Enlightenment Influence On America
Effects of the Enlightenment on America
During the 17th and 18th century European philosophers eliminated the old traditions of monarchy
and challenged the church by introducing the idea that man could understand for himself. The Age
of Enlightenment introduced new concepts in science, philosophy, society and politics. The
Enlightenment changed both society and government, causing the formation of the United States
of America. Many of the Founding Fathers of America have based their ideas on those of The
Enlightenment philosophers Ideas. Ideas from the Enlightenment also had a profound influence on
the people in the American colonies to raise their voices against England s tyrannical government.
The American Revolution occurred when the colonists, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Sexual Politics Around Teddy Girl Identity
Introduction
The Ted trend during the 1950s corresponds to a transitional time, when popular culture was
associated with the working class. This class related understanding of taste and propriety
surrounding the Teds, almost caused Teddy Girls to be written out of history because attention
focused on working class male aggression. Media representation classified teds as a male
movement, which provided no female role models to perpetuate the trend. The Sexual politics
around Teddy Girl identity relates to how popular culturecan be used and created by women, but
also how academic analysis approaches this and subsequently situates women in relation to popular
culture. Gender and class hierarchy can impose subject and object readings of ... Show more content

Photographic evidence (Russell 1955, Mayne 1956) depicts female Teddy Girls, and Horn s
research into post war youth culture shows similar strong female presence: A mass observation
diary from 1949 described a London dance hall [...] where there was an equal split between male
and female (2010: 118). Although how widespread this was, is hard to say. The location and
dates of the photos show that the women were early to mid 1950s London East End Teds, but
Russell s photographs were uncovered in 2006, which demonstrates how lack of resources caused
disproportionate attention to Teddy Boys, further cementing the trend as male. The academic
neglect of women in subcultures has been addressed by Garber and McRobbie (2000). The
invisibility of women in popular culture could originate from Hoggart s Uses of Literacy (1957),
which situates interest in music and socialising outside home as a male pastime. Teddy Girls also
attract less commentary because, unlike ted boys, the method of transmitting identity (clothing) did
not differ from middle class young women. The violence and aggression of Teddy Boys in marking
working class territory (Jefferson 2006: 68) attracted attention, because it directly conflicted with
middle class behaviour. So, females were unnoticed and continued to use consumption of popular
culture through clothing and music, to exert cultural identity. Mungham s work focusses on the
generational and class aspects within popular culture and acknowledges

The Most Important Qualities of Content in Research
There are three important qualities of content that researchers use as an assumption for most every
research. The first is the kind of atoms that the content is created up of. You have your fairly neutral
components and your substance components. Atom comes from the Ancient term atoms
significance inseparable. (Trefil, 2010) Atoms create up everything we can see, therefore content,
and atoms have very different qualities within themselves, as well as having different methods of
being organized or of connection together, all of which impact the actual and substance qualities of
whatever is created up of those atoms. Most components either perform electric current or don t
succeed to perform electric current. However, there is a third kind of content that is not a really
excellent electric conductor, and simultaneously, is not really an excellent insulator either. These
components are known as semiconductors, such as rubber and germanium (Trefil, p. 243). The
fairly neutral components have the same quantity of protons and electrons, which generally
terminate each other out making them fairly neutral. The substance factor offers with mixing more
than one factor. The second is the way those atoms are organized. An excellent example of this is
by evaluating atoms of fluid and atoms of shades. For example the atoms of fluids shift around
freer than atoms of shades which are loaded together. The third is the way the atoms are insured
together. There are for key qualities to

  • 2. The Nuclear Bomb Of Hiroshima And Nagasaki Who is good and who is Evil? Many of us go through life thinking that whatever we do must be what is good, never questioning authority and blindly following a government that is thought to be incapable of doing evil. After World War II, many Americans felt a sense of nationalism. They were proud of the fact that their military destroyed Nazi Germany and Imperialist Japan. However this euphoric patriotism can often blind the holder. In August of 1945, the United States Military dropped two nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. There were noble reasons for dropping the bombs, but surely destroying two entire cities questions the integrity of the United States. So again I ask, who is good and who is evil? After the events of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the United States was eager to learn more about the impacts of nuclear devices on the environment. The United States set up several nuclear bomb tests on the Marshall Islandsin which they properly planned for. However one test, code named Operation Castle, went horribly wrong. Scientists involved in the test claim they expected an explosive yield of four to six megatons, but instead a yield of fifteen resulted. For reference, this is one thousand times greater than the yields of both the Hiroshima and the Nagasaki nuclear bombs (Huard). Many people believe this was merely a lapse in judgement, however I believe there is evidence that the United States government intentionally created a disaster in order to study the effects of ... As the two characters progress through their expeditions, Chris McCandless and The Newcomer exhibit many similar and differing traits. Bravery, determination, and independence are traits that both The Newcomer and Chris McCandless display throughout their journey; however, the two main characters differ in kindness, creativity, and intelligence. Similarly, The Newcomer exhibits a strong sense of determination in his adventures as he continues to fight for his life after [he breaks] through (71) the ice and begins to freeze to death. Additionally, The Newcomer is determined to build a second fire despite the snow [falling] without warning upon (73) the man s first attempt at building a fire to thaw his feet. Apart from determination, Chris McCandless exhibits bravery throughout his travels as he deliberately places himself in uncomfortable or dangerous circumstances. For example, Chris chooses to overcome his fear of the ocean, in an act of bravery, by plunging into the waves. Additionally, Chris continues to demonstrate bravery and assurance in his self sustainability as he trudges into the rough Alaskan terrain with little else but a rifle, a journal, a camera, and a large bag of rice. • 4. Examples Of Mercy And Compassion There are so many ways on how to practice mercy and compassion. There are three simple steps given to us by Pope Francis during his apostolic visit here in the Philippines on how to become ministers of mercy and compassion. First is to rest with God. Second is to renew one s self. Third is to love others. Pope Francis tells us that To be an ambassador for Christ means to invite everyone to a renewed personal encounter with Christ. (Evangelii Gaudium). A renewed personal encounter with Christ is witnessed when we rest with God. Rest is very crucial to everyone s life. But some people seldom have time to rest due to hectic schedules and for some students are overflowing homeworks. Rest is very important that even God rested during the 7th... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... And also there are people that we love so much but doesn t return our love back. Real love is about loving God, and letting Him love us back. Another way of practicing mercy and compassion is to love others. Loving others unlike the renewal of one s self focuses on giving love to other people. Loving others is bringing Jesus to others. Loving others is not just about giving them what they need, it s about teaching them how to provide for themselves. Let us practice mercy and compassion by resting with God, renewing ourselves, and loving others. During the season of lent we reflect on the passion, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Lent is a source of mercy and compassion in a way that we practice fasting and abstinence and as much as possible drink water. Water has a chemical formula of H2O which means, H for Honesty, H for Humility, for being humble enough to admit your mistakes, and O for Obedience, for obeying the people in authority like our parents. These 3 are the sources of mercy and compassion. That s why we should be honest, humble and obedient. Always drink H20 on the season of Lent. The author spent his holy week in the Philippines. ... He slowly looked up at Robert, who had a super wide grin on his face. So, what do you think? asked Robert, waiting for the response he knew was coming. James stood motionless for a minute in disbelief. Uhhh... How do you think we can win this, though? There are about three hundred twenty students in the school! • 9. The Death Of Ivan Ilych By Leo Tolstoy In The Death of Ivan Ilych by Leo Tolstoy, he shows how the majority of society is selfish. Tolstoy suggests how even though there is so much selfishness in society, there are some exceptional people who do not follow social conventions and are the prime example of how people in a society should be. This paper will argue that being selfless is important in society and that people should deviate from individualistic behavior and concentrate more on the collective behavior. Through this careful examination it will be revealed that although a person should think about how to advance themselves in the social hierarchy, it cannot be their only goal and people need to combine it with it a more humanistic goal as well. According to Tolstoy, society... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He introduces the character as Gerasim, the butler s assistant. He is content with the little that that he has. He is the only one in the story who believes that death will come to everyone. Other people in society think that death only comes to other people and will not come to them. This is exemplified by Peter, who feels that this had happened to Ivan Ilych and not to him, and that it should not and could not happen to him... began to ask with interest about the details of Ivan Ilych s death, as though death was an accident natural to Ivan Ilych but certainly not to himself (Tolstoy 9). Through the thought process of Peter, Tolstoy shows how society views death. Gerasim is also the only one in the story who shows empathy towards Ivan Ilych. He cares about other people. He doesn t feel that helping Ivan is a burden, but more as a way of soothing a dying man. As Ivan observed, He saw that no one felt for him, because no one even wished to grasp his position. Only Gerasim recognized it and pitied him. And so Ivan Ilych felt at ease only with him. He felt comforted when Gerasim supported his legs (sometimes all night long) Tolstoy( 42). This illustrates how Gerasim didn t mind his own inconvenience for the comfort of his master. Tolstoy portrays how most people in society have a lot more financial and social status, but they are missing the essential meaning of life. However, even though Gerasim lacks these advantages that other people have, he is the one who is the happiest. This is because he has all the components; selflessness, love for everyone, and a strong sense of empathy which makes up a meaningful ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This is an account of the first few days of my third deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. As a Sergeant, I deployed to OIF in 2007 with Darkhorse Troop, 6 8 CAV, 3 1 AD. My platoon was composed of twenty two scouts, a medic, a forward observer (FO), and eight HMMWV s. We received eight Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles (MRAPs) after six months of the fifteen month deployment. I was a team leader in my platoon s Bravo section. Our squadron was first assigned to FOB Falcon. After four months, we were relocated to COP Fish (later renamed COP Derby). COP Fish was located 10 miles south of FOB Falcon, down a road that was known as Chicken Run. In the perspective of Di, she focuses more on her teaching profession and integrating the core values of a teacher into her policy (Newman Pollnitz, 2005). What we know about Etruscan lifestyle is based on their artwork left behind. Early on Etruscan society had a lot of contact with the Greeks that reflect in much of the Etruscan works of art. The distinction in Etruscan art and Greek art is clearly seen through the Etruscan representation of couples in art. A leader who demands attention with strong emotion isn t looked upon as a strong leader since they have intense drastic changes in mood which fear followers and make people drift away. I feel that this is just a competencies that many overcome and turn into strong leaders whom have made a big impact. In Moral Disagreement by Kwame Anthony Appiah, Appiah writes about differing values and morals around the world and within our society. He points out, we aren t the only people who have the concepts of right and wrong, good and bad; every society, it seems, has terms that correspond to these thin concepts (658). However, these concepts are not always the same with each other in every society. In the same way that not everyone in our society believes in the same moral concepts. Unfortunately, it is these disagreements that often separate us as people. Forming different cultures, large and small, throughout the world. This is not a bad thing, but it does separate us as a race, leaving us to care more for one group of people rather than humanity as a whole. In Patriotism and Cosmopolitanism, by Martha Nussbaum, Nussbaum suggest that a way to fix this problem, and to become a cosmopolitan person, is to teach students in our education systems more of different cultures throughout the world. Yet not only should we learn to accept other cultures and their beliefs, but we should also educate ourselves to accept everybody we meet, giving respect to them as individuals, if we ever truly want to become a citizen of the world. Nazi Oppression Of Sports In The 1936 Summer Olympics The 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany was a key moment whereby African American and Jews used sports to politically challenge the Nazi ideology of Aryan supremacy and non Aryan inferiority. Paul Taylor argues that sports is one of the most powerful weapons in the hands of those suffering under racial prejudice or political oppression. During the 1936 Olympics, Hitler dialed down the anti Semitic propaganda due to international pressures, but in official Nazi sporting hand books it specifically targeted Jews and African American s as being physically inferior to the Aryan race as they lacked athletic ability. Also, Nazi theorists like Kurt Munch claimed that Jews and Blacks were feeble athletes and had never achieved any success in athletics. The creator of the Olympic games, Baron Pierre de Coubertin, believed that the Olympic games encouraged people to look beyond the interests they had in common by bringing the best athletes from every country, culture, and race, and giving them a platform where they could earn respect and admiration based on skill and not race, creed, or nationality. Although, African Americans and Jews did not voice their political beliefs they used their athletic skill and would have acquired praise from Coubertin because they directly challenged Hitler s ideology that non Aryan s were inferior.Jessie Owens, who was a famous African American sprinter, fought back against Hitler s racial stereotypes of Blacks by winning four gold medals ... Roosevelt was ready for action unlike the previous President, Hubert Hoover. Hoover allowed the country to fall into a complete state of depression with his small concern of the major economic problems occurring. FDR began to show major and immediate improvements, with his outstanding actions during the First Hundred Days. He declared the bank holiday as well as setting up the New Dealpolicy. The government now had a more powerful affect on people s social and economic lives. During Herbert Hoover s administration any mistakes were made after the Stock Market crash. After the crash during the depression Hoover took action but made a few mistakes along the way. Many of Hoover s acts were passed by congress and signed by Hoover himself. His worst offense was the Smoot Hawley Tariff, which raised tariffs. The raising of tariffs was the worst possible thing that could have occurred. Hoover tried his best to reassure the country that the economy would become improved, although it actually worsened. To improve things after the crash Hoover prepared all Federal Departments to speed up public works. He did this with hopes to generate supplementary jobs and bring back the economy. As well, Hoover asked congress if they would reduce spending, and use what was no longer required to restart public works. Unfortunately for Hoover a collapse in Europe and a change in foreign trade caused prices for United States manufactured goods and farm equipment. After this occurrence President Hoover asked congress once again for more money, his time he wanted the money for farm loans and to establish the Reconstruction Finance Corporation, which would be used to help buildings in need as well as banks and railroads. • 44. The Culture Of Asian American And Being Labeled As An Ethnic Preface In this essay, I attempted to lay bare the issues of being an Asian American and being labeled as an ethnic other in modern America. This label of other causes them to become marginalized and lose their sense of identity, belonging neither to Western culture nor Eastern culture. In order help stop this loss of identity in Asian Americans, we must tear down the social construct of the other and integrate the different cultures into the melting pot of popular culture. Once we have stopped alienating different cultures, we can then have a moral society that upholds diversity and identity. The Struggles of the Other The apparent dominance of White Europeans in America results in a common set of values, beliefs, and norms that are endorsed by Whites, leading to an America whose vision is filtered through the lens of the White European perspective. This established vision and power creates the social construct of the ethnic other. As an ethnic other in America, my analysis incorporates my personal experiences and the experiences of those around me. In a nation that has a population so diverse in personal and collective identities, problems regarding morality and culture can arise. In the America of the past and present, the norm by which all are measured against is that of a heterosexual White European. This norm creates a conflict with the marginalized groups who wish to gain acceptance by and into the dominant culture, but are not allowed to do so due to their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There is historical evidence that the Anglo Saxon Beowulf was composed, or more exactly transcribed, 900 years earlier than Grettir s Saga. According to Howell Chickering, Jr. there is only one piece of verifiable historical data in Beowulf, Hygelac s death in 521 during a raid on the Frisians (247). It is believed Grettir s Saga was originally written in Icelandic, sometime in the early 14th century (Killings 1). Beowulf s scop describes the fluctuation of oral composition by saying he, found new words, bound them up truly, / began to recite Beowulf s praise / a well made lay of glorious deed, / skillfully varied his matter and style (871a 874b). The time gap between the two works can be narrowed to 400 years if one considers Beowulf s transcription point in the 10th century, and Grettir s Saga in the 14th century. Chickering asserts Grettir s Saga and Beowulf, go back independently to a common original (254), and are not evolutionary partners. The plot outlined above illustrates the many close parallels of books 64 to 67 of Grettir s Saga and the first book of Beowulf. However, the underlying religious tenor shifts significantly from work to work. Grettir s Saga immediately identifies itself as a Christian tale through the introduction of a priest who, after becoming the stranger s sidekick, banishes the hero. Grettir s monster only appears at Yuletide, a time of Christian festivity formalized by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 50. Fascism In Russia After World War One, many people yearned to return to normalcy; however, those desires were rendered by the carnage and destruction caused by the war. In the twentieth century, fascism was a response to many complicated social challenges and to the spread of Western liberal democracy. For the growing fascist movements, the period after the First World War was seen as a time to bring change to the nature of society, state, and international policies and laws. The rise of fascism in Europe started in the early 1900 s due to cultural pessimism, the tragic consequences caused by the war, and the incapability of liberal democratic regimes to cope with the war s consequences. The current global economic and political climate has promoted the question of whether fascism is on the rise again. Vladimir Putin is one of the few current world leaders who has shown fascist tendencies. Putin s Russia has many elements that are reminiscent of the early 1900 s fascism. There are many similarities between Putin s Russia and the fundamental principles of classical fascism. Putin asserts Russian power by putting pressure on weak neighboring states, and slams the West s criticism of his policies and actions. By annexing Crimea and supporting pro Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine in 2014, Russia was able to justify its military patriotic mobilization of society and the transformation of Russia into a besieged fortress (Motyl, 2016, pg. 29). The annexation of Crimea made Russian citizens feel a wave of vicarious optimism. Putin s bully attitude and aggression are supposed to manifest Russian ethnic and cultural revitalization after decades of decline. Similar to Mussolini, Putin is building his regime on the promises of greatness, the display of military force, and the campaign to make Russia great again. Putin s actions and policies provide the Russian citizens with a sense of national pride, which has been lacking since the post Soviet era. He continues to pursue strategies and policies that restore Russian pride while consolidating power and influence in Russia. This class related understanding of taste and propriety surrounding the Teds, almost caused Teddy Girls to be written out of history because attention focused on working class male aggression. Media representation classified teds as a male movement, which provided no female role models to perpetuate the trend. The Sexual politics around Teddy Girl identity relates to how popular culturecan be used and created by women, but also how academic analysis approaches this and subsequently situates women in relation to popular culture. Photographic evidence (Russell 1955, Mayne 1956) depicts female Teddy Girls, and Horn s research into post war youth culture shows similar strong female presence: A mass observation diary from 1949 described a London dance hall [...] where there was an equal split between male and female (2010: 118). Although how widespread this was, is hard to say. The location and dates of the photos show that the women were early to mid 1950s London East End Teds, but Russell s photographs were uncovered in 2006, which demonstrates how lack of resources caused disproportionate attention to Teddy Boys, further cementing the trend as male. The academic neglect of women in subcultures has been addressed by Garber and McRobbie (2000). The invisibility of women in popular culture could originate from Hoggart s Uses of Literacy (1957), which situates interest in music and socialising outside home as a male pastime. Teddy Girls also attract less commentary because, unlike ted boys, the method of transmitting identity (clothing) did not differ from middle class young women. The violence and aggression of Teddy Boys in marking working class territory (Jefferson 2006: 68) attracted attention, because it directly conflicted with middle class behaviour. So, females were unnoticed and continued to use consumption of popular culture through clothing and music, to exert cultural identity. • 53. The Most Important Qualities of Content in Research There are three important qualities of content that researchers use as an assumption for most every research. The first is the kind of atoms that the content is created up of. You have your fairly neutral components and your substance components. Atom comes from the Ancient term atoms significance inseparable. (Trefil, 2010) Atoms create up everything we can see, therefore content, and atoms have very different qualities within themselves, as well as having different methods of being organized or of connection together, all of which impact the actual and substance qualities of whatever is created up of those atoms. Most components either perform electric current or don t succeed to perform electric current. However, there is a third kind of content that is not a really excellent electric conductor, and simultaneously, is not really an excellent insulator either. These components are known as semiconductors, such as rubber and germanium (Trefil, p. 243). The fairly neutral components have the same quantity of protons and electrons, which generally terminate each other out making them fairly neutral. The substance factor offers with mixing more than one factor. The second is the way those atoms are organized. An excellent example of this is by evaluating atoms of fluid and atoms of shades. For example the atoms of fluids shift around freer than atoms of shades which are loaded together. The third is the way the atoms are insured together. There are for key qualities to ...
