Leroy was born on December 23,1905 in Galveston,Texas on a beautiful sunny
day.Who knew that he would be a bright guy .He had turned out to be a very
important person,but not a lot of people respected him and that didn t bother him .He
was good knowing that he respected himself. That was all that mattered to him.
His dad was Peter colombo and his mom was Catherine gaido colombo.Peter
colombo was born in 1863 1913.Catherine gaido colombo was born in 1873 1944.
He had seven siblings his oldest sibling Lucie was born in 1894 ,Marie Antoinette
born in 1898, Esther born in 1901, Margaret born in 1901, Christopher Nicholas
born in 1903, San Jacinto born in 1907 ,and Catherine born in 1909.Peter was a
restaurant manager and owner.Peter and Catherine both emigrated to italy .His dad

beach along with awards and medals in the museum.Once he died everyone had
honored him.
He was a deaf lifeguard . He had saved nine hundred and seven lives even when he
was forced to retire he had still kept an eye out for people that might need help.He
was a champion long distance swimmer.
At the age of seven he was diagnosed with spinal meningitis and it caused him to
become death and the use of his legs but his brothers had helped him to swim and
