The document summarizes research on the axial crushing of aluminum honeycomb structures under dynamic loading conditions. Experiments were conducted using both semi-static and dynamic testing methods. Specifically, honeycomb samples measuring 75x75x35mm were tested in a universal testing machine and a drop weight machine. The testing aimed to study the deformation and energy absorption of honeycomb under compressive loads. Finite element analysis was also conducted using LS-Dyna software to simulate honeycomb crushing. The results provide valuable insights into manufacturing materials with high energy absorption capacity.
As catastrophic bridge collapse accidents not only cause significant loss of property, but also have a severe social impact. Therefore, the structural health monitoring of bridges for damage detection by vibration analysis gets more attention. Reinforced concrete bridges are the most common and extended structures present in the worldwide. These structures are often characterized by Piers, Abutments, deck slabs. This paper looks on the work of modelling and analysis of bridge in STAAD.Pro software, and the specific bridge model is taken of a particular span. It is subjected to vary Young’s modulus (E) in the mid span of bridge deck slab to induce damage in order to obtain maximum bending moment, as the structural strength reduces. From the analysis Mu/bd2 values from SP 16 code is used to identify the damage on the bridge deck slab, then natural frequency of the bridge, mode shapes, variation of the deflection and node displacements of bridge deck slab under the action of static and dynamic load at different aspect ratios with original design parameters and at failure is carried out in this project.

Behavior of RC Beams Retrofitted/Strengthened With External Post-Tension SystemINFOGAIN PUBLICATION
This paper presents a study on the flexural behavior of strengthened RC beams using external post-tensioning technique under the effect of cyclic loads. Post tensioning techniques is a new method to improve the behavior of cracked and sound beams. This new technique was used in this research to improve the behavior of cracked and un-cracked beams. The study consists of two stages, the first stage is an experimental program which is carried out in lap to test casted beams, and the second stage is a theoretical program which was carried out to verify the results of experimental program. The behavior of RC beams in different levels of cracks was studied, crack pattern was observed and failure type was recorded. Comparisons between the behaviors of different RC beams were performed. The experimental study included using of prestressing steel bars, GFRP bars and the effect of different percentage of shear reinforcement was also taken into consideration. Specimens were tested under the effect of cyclic load. Finally the simulations of tested beams were modeled in finite element software (ANSYS) to verify the results of experimental work compared to theoretical analysis.
Fabrication, charecterization and development of high damping materials for n...eSAT Journals
Abstract Aluminum matrix composites are early inventions during 60’s. Presently these are used as railroad equipment and aerospace components. Their application has shown no further growth during the last decade due to lack of toughness. The non-compatibility between the matrix and the reinforcement and lack of good interface among these led to the reduced ductility levels. The limited solubility leads to the alloy formation passing solid solution strengthening while the un dissolved particles help achieving dispersion strengthening. Instead of taking ceramic particulates as reinforcements, metallic reinforcements were dispersed in aluminium matrix. Damping characteristics were calculated for the alloy and composites. Suitable heat treatment enhances the properties of the composite further. The expected mechanical properties will be higher than the regular alloys, which can be useful for various components in naval applications where high damping is required. Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
