This document summarizes the experiences of exchange students from various European countries visiting the innovative Ørestad Gymnasium school in Copenhagen, Denmark as part of the AVITAE exchange program. The students were impressed by the modern, open design of the school with large shared spaces and classrooms separated by glass instead of walls. They observed Danish students using laptops and iPads for learning instead of traditional books and paper. The exchange students found this new approach to education very different from their own school systems and cultures but thought it provided more freedom and opportunities to learn. They enjoyed learning about Danish culture and making new friends from across Europe through the program.
