an informative seminar
took place
in our school
The seminar was focused
on the educational activities
for the children of refugees in
Eleonas Refugee Hosting Center
organized by
the Faculty of Early Childhood
Education
of the National and Kapodistrian
University of Athens
Key speaker was
the coordinator of the intervention
Mr. Androussou Alexandra,
Associate Professor of Teaching Methods
and Development of Educational Material
The activities of the intervention
are addressed to the children of refugees
hosted in the Eleonas’ camp
and aim to help express themselves, play,
have fun and act again as children.
Among the educational actions are included :
team games, crafts, painting, English and
Greek lessons and activities for
psychological support
Students of the
Faculty of Early Childhood
Education
talked about their initiatives
and
their experiences while
volunteering under these
particularly sensitive conditions
There was also a discussion on the refugee crisis
in our country, the reaction of the Greek society and
the meaning of the volunteer work.
Our students collected and
delivered material for the
implementation of the activities

    On May 9,2016, in cooperation with the University of Athens, an informative seminar took place in our school
