 First impression is the best impression
 Capture the audience in the first few words
 The tools you can use are :
› Warm greet to the audience
› A short storyline about the subject matter from
your own personal experiences
› A simple quiz on the topic of the presentation
 Most of Steve Jobs’ presentation slides
contain a maximum of ten words
 He shows the audience only the key words
on his presentations slides
 No bullet points in Steve Jobs’ slides
 Content in the presentations should not be
shown as long sentences or paragraphs
 Choice of words should be crisp and catchy
 Emotional choice of words makes the
rapport stronger with the audience
 Say ‘Wow’ when you feel so and say ‘cool’
when you really mean it
 Be fascinated about what you are speaking
 Be enthusiastic about your own ideas and
comments
 Express it from within the heart to get more
attached to the audience
 Don’t overload you slides with paragraphs or
sentences
 It makes the audience sick
 They want to listen to YOU more than the
slides
 Load only relevant information on the slides
 Have an agenda of what you are going to
speak
 Help the audience with the agenda whenever
you pass on from one topic to the other
 Being systematic is an important trait of a
presenter
 You will feel easy with the flow if you follow a
proper sequence
 Create more eagerness in the minds of the
audience by giving them a clue on what
comes next on the screen
 Smile and don’t frown
 Have a good eye contact
 Make a move naturally
 Use hand movements wherever needed
 Be calm and use the space wisely
 Minor distractions that may affect your
enthusiasm while presenting to an audience
are:
› Technical problems on the slides
› Acoustic problems
 React only if the audience get distracted
 If you don’t fret, your audience also wont mind
them
 Try to act smart and avoid making a scene on
the stage
 Steve Jobs does it naturally !!
 Highlight the vital points of the presentation in a
memorable way
 Think out of the box to make a moment
 Stand out of the crowd by using your own style
 Presentation is not a speech or public speaking
 Presentation is an art
 Put yourself in the place of the audience and
think what will make them happy and
memorable even after the presentation
 Human brain can understand visual media or
pictures more quickly than written or printed
form
 Grab the attention of the audience by using
pictures instead of words
 Don’t overload your slides with pictures
 Use pictures diligently wherever relevant
 If words are appropriate than pictures use
them without any harm
 While demonstrating a product to the customers
or the other stakeholders think from their point of
you and then present the subject
 Don’t give superficial explanations
 Bring the big picture before their eyes instead of
diving into the actual topic directly
 Relate whatever you deliver clearly with a
proper sequence
 Enjoy your demo and then deliver it with passion
