The document describes the design process and revisions for a digipak and album poster. It discusses 4 drafts of the digipak that incorporated feedback to blur the background, add effects for branding, and make other changes. It also discusses 4 drafts of the album poster where the designer blurred the background, added effects and color as suggested by the target audience. The final versions incorporated additional tweaks like social media icons and text changes for clarity.

3. DIGIPAK DRAFT 1
Here, I placed all of the copy over the
images and followed the template. This
was solely based on my rough draft.

4. DIGIPAK DRAFT 2
In this draft I added our brands
‘twitch’ effect using the blending
options (shown in slide 10). I took into
account my target audience feedback
and made changes accordingly such as
changing the thank you section.

5. DIGIPAK DRAFT 3
In this draft, I took into my target audience feedback and decided to use a
range of photography. They thought that the wall was quite overpowering
therefore I made changes to the background. I did this by duplicating the
image and removing the model. I then used the Gaussian blur filter to blur
the background. I then followed by darkening the wall using the brush tool
and reducing the opacity. To ensure that within all the images the
background was not prominent I used the Gaussian blur filter on the
background of all the images. I also changed the colour of the font to
make all the text flow and match the overall house style.

6. DIGIPAK DRAFT 4
In my final draft, added the twitch flower effect
for the CD panel to add to the brand and also to
ensure that it doesn’t look plain as the target
audience suggested (shown in slide11). I also
changed added the full twitch effect on the text
(shown in slide 10). I added the barcode and our
record company logo as this is a convention that
should be followed to allow the audience to
purchase it.

7. DIGIPAK FINAL
I made the title more visible by using only the magenta colour and black as well as adding an outer
glow. I blurred the background further for the thank you panel to ensure that the text was completely
visible. Lastly, I swapped the album name and artist name on the two spines as it is conventional for
the artists name to be at the top.

9. ALBUM POSTER DRAFT 1
Here, I placed all of the copy over the
image. This was solely based on my
rough draft.

10. ALBUM POSTER DRAFT 2
In this draft I took into account target
audience feedback and made changes
accordingly. I added a rectangle at the
bottom to ensure that the text was visible
and I also blurred the background in order
for the model to be foregrounded. To do
this I duplicated the image and deleted the
model within the image using the magic
wand tool. I then used the Gaussian blur
filter to blur the background.

11. ALBUM POSTER
DRAFT 3
In this draft I took into account target audience feedback and
changed the image completely. I added our brand of the ‘twitch’
effect on our text through the use of the blending options on
layers. I used the different channels to do this (as highlighted above).

12. ALBUM POSTER
DRAFT 4
In my final draft, the target audience wanted to see more colour
and also wanted me to make it more evident that it is an album
poster. I decided to the copy: ‘Album coming soon’ to do this and I
also added this hand drawn flower to add the pop of colour. This
was done in the same way as the text (the channels within
blending options). The flowers also added to our brand as they
were present in our music video and my digipak.

13. ALBUM POSTER FINAL
In my final draft, I added the flower line at the bottom of the artist to ensure that the cut line was less
evident. The flowers used were the twitched flower behind the artist but the colours alternated from
magenta and cyan. I also added social media icons next to the website link so that the audience can
easily find her online.
Furthermore, I removed the date and added ‘Album out
now’ instead as this made more sense. Having both would
confuse the audience to whether it is already out or if it is
coming soon.
