Ancient India The ancient Indians were highly influenced by the Ganges river, in
fact that was one of the reasons they stayed around so long. This river gave them
fertile soil, and also played a big role in their religious practices. The ancient Indian
civilization lasted from 3300 BC to 1500 BC. (Kokila) Ancient India had very broad
social pyramid requirements and the classes were servants, farmers, warriors and
king, and the highest class which was above the king. If it were not for the Ganges
River or any other natural resource in the Indus Valley the ancient Indian
civilization would not have survived very long. The Ganges River is also
sometimes referred to as the Ganga River, and it played a big part in the survival
of ancient India. Since it is known to be a symbol of the goddess Ganga, the Ganga
River also influenced the religious beliefs of ancient India. It was believed by
Hindus to be holy water and if you swam in it you would be forgiven for all of your

it the ancient Indian civilization would never have succeeded because they could

culture has its own form of nonverbal communication that can impact the way a

The group decide to carry out the elimination reaction with alcoholic potassium
hydroxide. A dry 100 milliliter round bottom flask was filled with 5 grams of

Being a student of the Jewish Bible and a disciple in Jesus day was for the very
few. Boys and girls went to school and began memorizing and studying the Torah

as the fifth Veda. The other factor which preserved the dance form is the Devadasis
(temple dancers) who enjoyed high status and prosperity and was encouraged by

disrepute due to economic and social pressures. Rukmini Devi, a member of the

The play Cyrano de Bergerac, written by Edmond Rostand, was written based on
the life of the real Cyrano de Bergerac. Even so, the setting of the story itself
contributed greatly to the character Cyrano de Bergerac and the development of the
story itself. Overall, the play has very specific stage directions and gives a very
detailed description of the setting for every scene. This helps the characterdevelop as
the story continues, while also giving background and mood to that scene in which
it describes. For example, things like the season being autumn in act five, stage
directions stating the green lawn has turned red (Rostand 199) and spots of darker
color formed by box shrubs (Rostand 199) showing how death is coming. It is being
represented by the falling leaves and its change in color. The setting of the play also
gives cultural background to the society in that time period.
