Description of the Problem
What do you think about when you hear the word "immigrant"? And please let's not stereotype and say "Mexicans" like many people would; but
let's go deeper and try to understand that we are talking about people from all over the world. The word "immigrant" means "a person who
migrates to another country, usually for permanent residence". According to the DHS' Office of Immigration Statistics about 11 million
unauthorized immigrants live in the United States. If we take a look at that number is nothing compared to the total population of the United
States which is about 318 million (2014), but still the government always seems to have or create a problem with this specific portion of
people that are trying to live their lives just like any other person living in the United States. I was born in Mexico. My family and I migrated
to the United States back in 2006 and since then we have resided in this country. We came here simply searching and pursuing a better life just
like any other immigrant. We didn't come here to cause any trouble or to break the rules, we came here to live the "American Dream" as
people call it. Most of the immigrants come to this country to work hard, to prosper, to live a better life but according to some people we are

This paper will be about an outline for my future career choices. This paper will show that the career I am striving for is a perfect fit for me.

Like a future classroom our class embraces technology as a tool for education. Through websites, blogs, and streaming online media, our class
takes all forms except the traditional lecture style. Another way in which this class is an example of a future classroom is in the way we
communicate. Through forums, chat boxes and emails, our class communicates through instant mediums instead of face–to–face contact. One
final way in which this class is a model for future classrooms is in the responsibility that students have for their own education. Students in our
class make their own schedule to keep up in class and are bounded by a loose schedule. Students are given flexibility in where and when they
want to work, which is different from traditional classrooms that meet on strict schedules.
Though our online class exemplifies many characteristics of a future classroom, our class stays traditional in several ways. One similarity
between our classroom and a traditional classroom is that students still hold the responsibility for submitting in work to be graded. Students still
need to be assessed on whether or not they are keeping on task with readings, and so assignments and projects are still used like in traditional

I think that many of the schools today merely try to prepare the students to move on to college and by doing so exclude the students who are
gifted with other abilities that are equally important and useful in society, even though those talents may not necessarily be something that can be
refined through a traditional four year college.
As a future teacher, I very strongly believe that students need to be shown practical applications of the concepts they are taught. For myself this is
especially notable in mathematical applications. As teachers we need to not just show how to work through a problem: we need to show why it
works and what it is useful for. Without something to apply the information to math is nothing more than a stream of numbers and formulas that
