2. Neglect And Lesion Analysis
In the hypothetical situation, the patient described was suffering from hemispatial neglect, a
neurological condition that results from hemispheric damage. Patients suffering from this condition
fail to acknowledge a stimuli situated contralaterally to their hemispheric lesion (Verdon, Schwartz, S,
Lovblad, Hauert, Vuilleumier, 2001). Lesions on both the left and right hemisphere can cause neglect,
however, only the right hemisphere lesions cause lasting deficits (Stone, Halligan, Greenwood, 1993),
which is the reason for the opinion that the right hemisphere is dominant for attention. Although
neglect has been associated with impairment to the right inferior parietal lobe (Vallar, 2001). neglect,
however, has also been observed within ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is worthwhile attempting to determine whether there are common brain regions that are involved in

3. The Black Church Essay
During the years of slavery in America, slave associations were of great concern to slave owners.
Many members of white society saw Black religious meetings as a threat to white existence. Despite
this, slaves relied heavily on the churches, as they offered a kind of therapy for them, and as the slaves
retained their faith in God, they found protection within their churches. Although the slaves practiced
their religion, the white community did not always accept the slaves as Christians. An unknown slave
said, The white folks would come in when the colored people would have prayer meeting, and whip
every one of them. Most of them thought that when colored people were praying it was against them.
The Church has long been the center of Black communities, and it has established itself as a great
source of religious enrichment and secular development for African ... Show more content on

However, not all of the Black churches share the same aspirations and strategies as others, with
differences reflecting the communities in which the Black Churches reside. In The Negro Church, the
sociologist E. Franklin Frazier said, Methodist and Baptist denominations were separate church
organizations based upon distinctions of color and what were considered standards of civilized
behavior. Black churches are organized spiritually and politically, and they not only preach the
teachings of Christianity but they also touch on the issues of which affect their members. Black
churches have always been known to represent their community, religion, and home. Some scholars
even say that Black history and the Black church overlap to the point that they are almost identical.

4. Chipotle Company Case Study
Yes, transparency is important in all companies. Transparency is easier for some than others.
Transparency operates in such a way that it is easy for other people to see what action is taken. It has
been defined as the quality that is seen as intentionally shared information of the sender. Transparency
is practiced in companies, organizations, administration, and society. It guides the decisions and
policies of the organization to the disclosure of information to workers and the general public, or only
the intended recipient of information.
For Chipotle Company, transparency is particularly important in leadership. Therefore, these products

companies that do not practice transparency in business will affect the community. The products

5. Valadon In The Midst Of Uncertainty
The Rise of Valadon in the midst of Uncertainty Many historians have often contemplated what
inspired Valadon to become an artist. Some critics even ponder on how she obtained access to various
art techniques without a strong academic background. She did not acquire a formal education after all
and she often gallivanted throughout the taverns of Montmartre. It was quite rare and peculiar for a
woman with such social stigma to become a well rounded artist. It is commonly believed that Valadon
started her modeling career in Montmartre at the tender age of 15. She modeled for ten years for many
prominent artists such as Pierre Cécile Puvis de Chavannes, Pierre Auguste Renoir, and Henri de
Toulouse Lautrec (Rose, 1999). She was also known

7. Critique of a Website Essay
Critique of a Website
Web sites are just like magazines, newspapers, brochures, menus, or even directions on how to make
nitroglycerin from house hold goods, in that they all have to be put together in such a manner that
whoever is reading or browsing over it will be able to clearly distinguish this from that. In this sense, a
critique of any particular web site will have justification, while carefully considering also that this is
an altogether new medium of information exchange. Now, all of this talk of togetherness is actually a
general reference to basic design principles, such as color coordination, if color is used, text size, font
choice/ style, art integration, accessibility, and just plain and simple design of the page. For ... Show

I m not saying make up is evil, but we all know what s in somewhat good taste, and what isn t. But,
hey!, I could be wrong: There could actually be a great person hiding under that crusty exterior; most
of the time there is. A balance needs to be achieved or at least strived for when designing a web page
or any page for that matter. I m not trying to rag on Raygun or anything, because I like A LOT of the
stuff that they do, but one must not get carried away with it and ignore what one is supposed to be
doing in the first place. For this reason I have chosen to pick on the Alternative X web site
(http://www.altx.com/), for this paper. Well, not really pick on them, but you know what I mean. So in
our quest to discover the ideal web page we must look at the following things: 1) Does it make sense?
Is its layout so erratic in such a way as to render the viewer blind because of the designers lack of
vision and utter stupidity? 2) Organization. How and why were things placed in the places they were
placed, needs to be known, or at least made seemingly apparant. 3) Since this is a web site we are
critiquing, and like a Choose Your Own Adventure Book one can skip to another section with almost
no fear of being inquisitioned, does its links lead to somewhere meaningful?
The first thing one sees when first viewing this page is a yellow screen with a single X in the center
with alt typed across it. Nice. Let me go off on a tangent here: I

8. Mem Company, Inc.
CASE SUMMARY (PROBLEM STATEMENT) After sluggish sales growth in 1980, MEM
Company, Inc. was considering ways to increase sales for the company s line of men s toiletries. Two
main options surfaced; either 1) to expand distribution into food stores or 2) to introduce a new line
called Cambridge. MARKET OVERVIEW The men s toiletries market was divided into three groups
based on pricing, namely, exclusive, medium and mass priced category. MEM had competed primarily
in the medium priced market. Its principal toiletries were marketed under the English Leather line of
which generated 68.3% of total sales revenue. This was substantially more than any other line it
owned and it also had a market share only second to its main competitor, ... Show more content on

Initial 5 forces conclusions seem to hinge on a lack of competitive advantage to launch Cambridge in
the short run. RECOMMENDATIONS After a SWOT and 5 forces analysis, we would recommend
that MEM: 1. Delay the initial launch of Cambridge and in the meantime do the following: 2. Divert
energies and resources to expansion into food stores 3. Try to advance and maybe extend the product
life cycle of Racquet Club and Musk to a more mature stage 4. Phase out ‘dogs – Lime, Windrift and
Timberline based on BCG 5. Monitor the sales response for Blue Stratos, if negative, launch
Cambridge. The most important reason for delaying Cambridge s launch would be to help MEM avoid
direct competition with Shulton s Blue Stratos, since obviously; people never wear 2 types of colognes
at once given that these 2 lines have the exact same target market. Hence, it would make sense to
adopt a ‘wait and see strategy. Secondly, since MEM also has a strong opportunity to expand into
food stores, we feel it would be a more effective use of resources and manpower in this expansion in
the meantime rather than in Cambridge. This expansion into food stores could create greater brand
awareness for the MEM name as well as its other lesser profitable lines besides English Leather.
Furthermore, from our SWOT analysis, we believe the launch of

11. Swastika Research Paper
There are countless misunderstood symbols throughout history, but none s meaning has been as
twisted as the swastika. The term swastika comes from the Sanskrit svastika , which contains the
prefix sv meaning good or well , the root word asti meaning being , and the suffix ka which is meant
to amplify the meaning of the word. With all these meanings together, it become clear rather fast that
term swastika means simply that which is associated with well being , which can be used to refer to a
lucky charm or any symbol meant to increase well being. Today, it commonly refers to an equal armed
cross with its four legs turned at a ninety degree angle about halfway down. Sadly, the swastika is

It appears as a decorative symbol in many Neolithic cultures, though we do not know if they used it in
a religious sense of not. The swastika is seen most commonly, however, in India and the land
surrounding it, where it is seen as a sacred religious symbol. When thought of in terms of ancient
cultures, the swastika is largely grouped into the large category of solar crosses , which were used in
worshipping the sun throughout much of the ancient world, and this can give us some clues into its
ancient meaning. However, some experts have suggested that instead of representing the sun, or that
the symbol s four arms are meant to represent the four aspects of nature the sun, wind, water, and soil.
Still, others say that the four arms represent the four seasons, where the division of ninety degrees
represent the solstices and equinoxes. The Hindus use it to represent their God (Braham) in is
universal aspect, the four directions of the world, and the four goals of life. In Buddhism, it is a visual
representation of eternity. Still, it is most heavily used today in Jainism, where it represents the four
places that the soul could be reborn after death, namely heaven, hell, as a human, or as flora and
fauna. The followers of Jainism commonly fashion their offerings, which are commonly made of rice,

On April 4, 2017 I started my first Track and Field season at Mosinee Middle School and learned a
very valuable lesson, but let s not get ahead of ourselves we have to start from the beginning. Probably
sometime in February I was in 7th grade Social Studies and I heard on the announcements that there
were Track and Field sign ups coming up. Mr. Rheinshmidt, our vice principal, stated on the
loudspeakers, There will be Track Sign ups in the creske gym lobby this Thursday. I thought to
myself... what would I be good at in Track?... shotput?... Discus? I was brought back from deep
thought as my Social Studies teacher started talking after the announcements were done. As soon as I
heard this, I knew that I would be in Track that spring. That day at lunch I asked my friends whether
or not any of them were interested in joining Track and Field that season... but none of them were
which made me lonely and wistful. I begged and begged them to join but they kept saying no. Please
join Track. I ll be so lonely if you don t, I told them beggingly. No, we said we didn t want to, they
stated sternly. I didn t let this stop me though I pestered them until one of them finally said that they

13. History And Processes Of Digital Manufacturing
A company called Stratasys said that Digital Manufacturing is a manufacturing method that
supplements weaknesses of traditional production processes. It helps delivery times and production
costs decrease with prototypes and final parts directly from CAD data while developing synchronical
product quality. (Stratasys, unknown)
As furniture industry becomes developed, digital manufacturing has taken a important place in the
industry. Therefore, this essay will illustrate the history and processes of the manufacturing and
features of objects that made through digital manufacturing.
Zode.z, Shane.X and Dejun.C argued that From the period of 1980s, lots of new ways of digital
manufacturing come out such as Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM), Automated
Manufacturing . (Zode.z et al, 2011: 2)
These new notions make it easier for us to analyze and predict the future of manufacturing, and these
improve the ability to analyze future manufacturing.
Since this era, Digital manufacturing has become a science including a wide range of sections of
science such as information science, engineering science and so on rather than a only technology.
(Zode.z et al, 2011: 2)
Donn.S (2014) said that as this technique has developed, it gave us numerous benefits in produce
product to designers, manufacturers and the world.
Firstly, using digital manufacturing could prevent waste of energy and materials as this process does
not use unnecessary things rather than mass production.

beaker, dropper pipette, Unknown concentration of HCL (75 ml), phenolphthalein
Procedure: 1. Set up the titration apparatus as indicated by your teacher
2. Place 1250 ml beaker containing 75 ml HCl underneath the buret (buret already set up with the
volume recorded) for titration and apparatus.

Titration has application to be as blood sugar and pregnancy test. For pregnancy test it applies to
titration, as it test the concentration of the blood to identify whether a person is pregnant or not. The
concept is same for blood sugar testing, from the concentration of the blood can help determine the
amount of glucose in the blood (Nurul Syazwanie (Nov, 9, 2011) Titration uses in everyday life ).
Titration is not relying use in chemical reaction, but rather other important real life use.
Errors: Percent error: Measured value Accepted value/Accepted value X 100
0.468 0.5/0.5 X 100= 6.4% percent error
Sources of error: One possible error can be during the process of putting the base solution into acid
beaker until it turns pink. There maybe a possibly that there are more base in the acidic solutions. This
would related to the outcome of the percent error to be negative. If there was less base than the
actually amount than the titration calculation would be lower.
Second potential error could be some incorrect measurement on the buret for base solution volume. In
some case measuring is hard tell in decimal number and is not always accurate, there maybe a slight
chance the measurement could have been lower than usual. If this were the error, this would affect the
outcome of molarity because if there is low measured volume it will ultimately result in a low

Performance Enhancing Drugs ? Draft

Performance Enhancing Drugs
The role of performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) can be found as far back as 776BC ? 393BC in the
original Olympic Games. (Drug Use in Sports Historical Timeline, 2013) Even back then, the athletes
vied for huge cash prizes, as well as having the honor of wearing the olive wreath. These athletes ate
meat, which was not a normal staple back then, as well as herbal medications, including
hallucinogens, in an effort to boost their performances. In 100AD, Roman gladiators used stimulants
and hallucinogens to avoid fatigue and possible injuries. Even during the Modern Olympic Games in
1904 1920, athletes were using PEDs, made up of a mixture of brandy and strychnine (a stimulant). In
fact, one marathon runner nearly died from such a concoction. Other mixtures, besides strychnine,
included the use of heroin, cocaine, and caffeine; until heroin and cocaine were only available in
prescriptions in the 1920s. So, in 1928, the International Association of Athletics Foundation (IAAF),
the ruling body of track and field, became the first organization to prohibit ?doping? by athletes. On a
side note, the term doping was attributed to the Dutch word ?doop?, which is an opium juice.
Amphetamines were also used during WWII to combat fatigue in soldiers,

society towards women but increases the pain because they are inflicted by other women. Harriet E.

Needs Assessment As chair of the committee charged with the recommendation for the purchase of
new computer equipment, I will detail a suggested plan for this $50,000 project at Central High
School. The high school has 1000 students in four grade levels (9th through 12th), and has
approximately 60 and 20 supporting staff. An inventory of the computers at the whole school was
conducted to understand what is currently available. There is currently one computer lab per grade
level in the school with 22 computers each, allowing for each grade use of this for one period per day.
There are also two computers in each classroom (one for student use, one for teacher use) as well as a
bank of computers in the library. There are also individual computers for the guidance counselors,
nurse, principals and assistant principals, and office staff. As the inventory was being done, a survey
was passed out to all of the staff asking where the needs were greatest and what specific equipment
was lacking. The overwhelming desire of the majority of the teachers was more computers in the
individual classrooms, specifically in the math and science rooms as a lot of current information was
required and there was a lot of competition for its use. There was a great desire to be flexible and
move the computer from place to place, such that a laptop computer or tablet computer was preferred
over a desktop. Market Research In order to take the needs of the school and convert that into a

23. Louis Jenkins Memes
Beyond their connection to the affect and narratives constructed by the textual elements, little unifies
the participants that construct and use particular memes. Therefore, each iteration of an image macro
is representative of a particular individual s understanding and identification with the meme. Jenkins
conception of the mode rejects the suggestion that meme s can represent particular viewpoints noting,
Deleuze consistently critiques the view of rhetoric as representation precisely because such accounts
presuppose actual subjects who do the representing. However, while memes should not be considered
exact representations of static subjects, Deleuze notes it is still important to consider the processes of
subjectification. Commenting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The visual elements allow participants to share common experiences or social positions, while the
textual overlays allow the participants to articulate their particular subject position within this
common community. While the form of the Old Economy Steve suggests a crisis in contemporary
American capitalism, the individual iterations convey variation experiences of the crisis. For many
users, the meme allows the ability to express the fact youth are experience unemployment in a way
unknown the prior generation Loses job // finds another one on the way home and finds entry level job
// requires zero years experience. Other examples of the meme tackle issues ranging from outsourcing
and the decline of industrial labor, to political issues like the minimum wage, unions, and social
security. However, the ability of users to place themselves within the meme is most apparent in the
plethora of criticisms about the current state of higher education. While some instances highlight the
problems of particular fields of study got journalism degree // works at daily newspaper, liberal arts
degree // gets job others indict the college experience more generally, when I was in college my
summer job paid the tuition // Tuition was $400, graduated college // saw difference in his paycheck,

of higher education to live up to its promise, allowing Millennials to express and identify their
individual struggle with a larger sense of generational identity. The ability to express a feeling of
stable identity in the face of economic uncertainty encourages participation in, and reproduction of,

7 Tips for a Gopher Free Backyard Have gophers dedicated your backyard their neighborhood
playground? Do you need to know how to get rid of gophers without harming them? #1 Gophers are
sound sensitive. Aggravate the little dickens by installing gopher chaser windmills. Continuous
vibrations emitted by windmill blades travel underground via the hollow support rod. Add pops of
color to your backyard with several windmills. This is an eco friendly way to color gophers gone! #2
Due to their heightened sense of smell try introducing scents gophers don t like. Stinky fish scraps or
castor oil will incite gophers to skedaddle. Pack their escape holes with fish scraps. Or, Scatter castor
oil granules in your backyard. #3 Getting rid of gophers may also be accomplished with road flares.
Dig into a mound to get to their tunnel. Light the flare, push the lit end into the tunnel and cover with
soil. The smoke contains sulphur and gophers will scurry out of offensive smelling tunnels

The Chimney Sweeper in Innocence vs. The Chimney Sweeper in Experience
In William Blake s Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience, many of the poems correlate in
numerous aspects. For example, The Chimney
Sweeper is a key poem in both collections that portrays the soul of a child with both a naïve and
experienced persona. Blake uses the aspects of religion, light versus dark imagery, and the usage of
the chimney sweeper itself to convey the similarities and differences of the figure in both poems.

After Tom awakes from this dream, he was happy and warm with the knowledge that with God, there
was no need to fear death.
However, in Songs of Experience, the outlook on life and death is not so joyful. The religious imagery
is not so much as in Songs of
Innocence, possibly because people tend to believe more religiously when innocence dominates
terrible experiences. In the latter poem, however, the little black thing has been clothed in the clothes
of death by his parents forcing him to become a chimney sweeper. His parents have gone to praise
God and his Priest and King, who make up a heaven of our misery and the boy cannot understand this
as he
sings the notes of woe and not happiness. This chimney sweeper does not have the innocence and
hopefulness of the chimney sweeper in Songs of Innocence. This child possesses experience of
hardship and does not hold much faith in God and religion. This version of The Chimney
Sweeper lacks the hopefulness and faith found in the former version although it is the same setting,
factors, and occupation.
William Blake conveys both innocence and experience with the literary technique of light versus dark
imagery. In Songs of Innocence, Blake discusses the issue of soot on several instances. In the
beginning verse, the young chimney sweeper slept in soot, showing the incorruptibility and despair of
the young child. Also, Tom Dacre s

27. How Technology Has Made Brick And Mortar Markets
We have grown into a world filled with a tremendous amounts of technology. The rapid growth in
technology has made brick and mortar markets either start to wither away or it has forced companies
to develop their own e commerce branch of their company to help them stay in the race with the
advancement in technology. An example that stands out to me is the well known retail store Target.
Target has not only created a way for their customers to buy products on line, but they have also
developed an application for their frequent shoppers, a debit card for Target lovers that want to save
5% instantly, and recently an online service to order products for pick up in store. Before explaining
all the e commerce innovations that Target has launched throughout the recent years, I believe a brief
history of Target is necessary.
Target was actually created by the owner of Dayton s department store, George Draper Dayton, who in
1962 decided that he wanted to transform his well known family run department stores into one of the
nation s largest discount store chains. Dayton believed this would demonstrate the visionary
leadership that the company wanted. The leaders of the idea came together to create the name of the
store and the logo. They opened their first store in Roseville, Minnesota in 1962 and then kept
constructing new stores all around the US. Target s first distribution center went up in Fridley,
Minnesota in the year 1969. Their first major development in advertising was

28. Differences Between Animal Farm And The Truman Show
Living a good life and trying to pursue the unattainable utopian society takes power, but not everyone
has the power to make these things reality. The good life and the utopian society will stay elusive
unless one has the ambition to want to thrive and fight for power and control over their own life. The
Truman Show, directed by Peter Weir, conveys the idea that everyone has a different perspective as to
what the good life and utopia is so, in order to obtain it, Truman must fight for the power and freedom
to control his own life. Likewise, in Animal Farm, George Orwell explores how the animals believe
that to be able to obtain the unreachable utopian society and good life they must first have power and
control over their own lives. To do so they must get rid of Mr Jones, but they soon grow to realise that
even once you have power and control, too much power can easily be abused.
A good life is a term for the life that one would like to live. It s a life in which one has the freedom to
self direct their own life. Truman has the perfect wife, the perfect house, perfect job and perfect
friends but does that really matter if he doesn t have freedom? In The Truman Show, Weir expresses
that without freedom the good life is unattainable, one can never truly be happy and content with their
life unless they have freedom. We see this most clearly when Truman is so determined to Thrive in life
and escape from the dome that the good life Christof has endowed for him doesn t matter.

Politics exists in every place where there are more than one person seeking same resources which are

31. How The Amount Of Baking Soda Dissolved
ABSTRACT The purpose of this experiment was to see how the amount of baking soda dissolved in
vinegar would affect the pH of the vinegar. We conducted the experiment by testing different amounts
of baking soda in constant amounts of vinegar, and dropping the solutions on pH paper. By comparing
the colors on the pH paper to a list of colors in relation to numbers on the pH scale, we were able to
find out that as more baking soda is added, the pH of the solution goes up as well.
INTRODUCTION
Ocean acidification is where the ocean water becomes more acidic due to the amount of carbon
dioxide in the water. Humans use fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas that release large
amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Oceans absorb about one quarter of the carbon
dioxide released each year, and since the amount of carbon dioxide in the water increases, it becomes
more acidic (Ocean Acidification, NOAA). More acid in the water means that it will be lower on the
pH scale and will release more hydrogen ions. This is in comparison to having more base in the water,
where it will be higher on the pH scale and will release more hydroxyl ions. The pH scale rates the
concentration of hydrogen in water, and acidic water releases more hydrogen ions than basic water.
The scale goes from zero to fourteen, where a pH of seven is neutral, a pH less than seven is acidic,
and a pH greater than seven is basic. Oceans have an average pH of 8.16, but that number is predicted

32. Charter School Vs. Public Schools
Students Success
Why choose to go to Charter School rather than public school? Charter schools are public school of
choice, meaning families choose for their children. Federal legislation provides grants to help charters
to manage start up costs. They create better educational opportunities for the students therefore they
have higher expectations in teaching. Charter Schools and zoned (public) schools are tuition free but
unfortunately not everyone can get in to Charter school, since it works by lottery. Everyone has the
opportunity to apply and has a choice to attend Charlet School if the students are lucky enough to get
in. Charter schools are more effective for three reasons: they have higher graduation rates, teachers are
more prepared and devoted to their students, and teachers take a greater responsibility for their
students as they compete against Zoned Schools.
How important is it for a student to graduate? Isn t it a waste of time going to school for twelve years
and wasting all the government money and still not receive a diploma? That is why students need to
work harder to earn it and Charter schools are the ones that offer students to become more educated.
Joffee states, Charter schools have higher API scores and graduation rates than traditional schools:
Academically, comparing LAUSD Alliance charter high schools to LAUSD traditional high schools
located in the same neighborhoods, we found the Alliance schools have decisively higher API scores,

** The normative question
Korsgaard frames the question that is central to ethics as the `normative question . An answer to the
normative question, in Korsgaard s view must be tailored to address someone in the first person
perspective, since the question arises from the first person perspective.
Korsgaard writes that it is helpful to imagine the normative question as the question that is asked when
moralities demands are difficult:

When you want to know what a philosopher s theory of normativity is, you must place yourself in the
position of an agent on whom morality is making a difficult claim. You then ask the philosopher: must
I really do this? Why must I do it? And his answer is his answer to the normative question.[fn:176]

According to a constructivist reading of Kant, morality is grounded in the will or practical reason and
particular moral obligations are constructed by practical reason. The fact that the moral law is a
demand of reason or rationality provides a justification for subjecting ourselves to morality: moralities
demands are rational. At the same time Korsgaard argues that it explains why we are motivated to act
in accordance with the moral law: the moral law is a demand of our own will.
Constructivism is tied to what Korsgaars names the Kantian `ethics of autonomy . The main idea of
the Kantian ethics of autonomy that Korsgaard defends is the idea that morality is not grounded in
something that is external to practical reason or the will, but rather that it is grounded in the will or

They may also be managed by non family individuals. The management team can have two or more

Particularly for smaller businesses, one or more family members may be senior officers and managers.
This has pros and cons. Family involvement as operating executives can strengthen the business
because of their loyalty, dedication and willingness to sacrifice today for tomorrow s gains. But this
also present unique problems. Frequently, there are imbalances and mis alignments between the family

many thought that most MSMEs are in manufacturing related activities. In fact in the overall sample,

in wholesale trading. Attrition rate is high. In the absence of formal research figures, Galura and

Some parents assume that if a child isn t doing so well in school, the child will struggle with learning

The more we do to you, the less you seem to believe we are doing it. This quote by Josef Mengele
speaks to his time spent as part of the Holocaust. Historically, many may also know him as the Angel
of Death. He is infamous for the inhumane experiments he did on the Jewish children during the
Holocaust. Mengele was cruel and unapologetic. What he did, he believed he did in the name of

Mengele had an eventful life from his early years, to what he did in the Holocaust, to the time after the

42. The Importance Of A Successful Communication Plan
Communication plays a critical role on making sure the correct people will receive the information,
what information will be communicated, how it will be communicated, how often, and who will be
responsible for delivering the message during a project. All communication plans will be according to
the needs of the project. Establishing a successful communication plan is one of the most important
factors contributing to a successful project (CA.gov, 2007).
When looking at the project communication plans from several organizations such as the Department
of Agriculture (USDA), the City of Scottsdale, and the Park Development and Acquisition we can see
some similarities and differences on how their plans are developed. Some are more extensive and
detailed, and some are concise and to the point. Many of these differences are due to the need of the
projects and who is involved.
Out of the three communication plans, the USDA is the shortest and least detailed. The USDA plan
does not include a table of content, making it more difficult for the reader to find needed information
quickly. Both of the other plans, City of Scottsdale and Seattle Parks and Recreation, start their
