DE REFLECTIEVE COMMUNICATIE SCRUM EN HET STRATEGISCH COMMUNICATIE FRAME
Onderwerp: Strategie, Allround, Communicatie

This document discusses adopting an agile approach across multiple teams at an organization. It involved igniting over 20 teams on July 1st to work in a bottom-up agile way with bare essentials. They used SAFe as a framework but changed it to be less prescriptive. The key factors for its success were drenching it in enthusiasm and lightness, setting a clear date to commit to, and empowering self-directed teams.

The document describes Winkle's transition from a chaotic, uncontrolled project management process to implementing Kanban. It outlines the problems they faced with long lead times, errors, and siloed teams. They introduced Kanban to provide visibility, limit work in progress, and encourage collaboration. After initial training and setting up their board, they saw improvements like shorter lead times, increased revenue with the same team size, and less rework. The challenges included resistance to change and continuously improving their Kanban system and processes.

This document discusses agile leadership dynamics and motivation. It introduces Dan Pink's motivational drive model, which describes three types of motivation: biological, rewards/punishments, and intrinsic motivation. Type X behavior is fueled by extrinsic rewards, while Type I behavior deals with inherent satisfaction from an activity itself. The document suggests moving from a Type X to a Type I culture. It also discusses how autonomy, mastery, and purpose from Daniel Pink's book can drive motivation. Finally, it outlines the roles of agile coach, product owner, and chapter lead, and suggests questions each role should ask to focus on autonomy, mastery, and purpose.
Benefits of Agile From a Financial PerspectiveJason Yip
This document discusses the financial benefits of using an Agile development process. Agile allows for smaller and more frequent releases which can increase customer uptake and responsiveness to market demands. It also reduces costs through smaller teams and overhead compared to traditional sequential development approaches.
The document is an agenda for an event hosted by the Agile Consortium Belgium on February 23, 2017 in Brussels. The event is titled "From Agile IT to enterprise agility" and will feature presentations and discussions on topics related to organizational development, human-centered work collaborations, sociocracy 3.0, enterprise flow, the path toward teal organizations, and two organizations' journeys toward becoming teal. There will be opportunities for networking as well.
The document discusses agile as a means to realize the future of organizations. It argues that organizations don't truly exist and are instead illusions produced in people's minds. It claims that organizations cannot be agile, but that humans can be. It also discusses four key notions: 1) Organizations don't exist, 2) Organizations are inside people rather than people inside organizations, 3) Only humans not organizations can be agile, and 4) The past and future are concurrent. The document advocates for organizing without organizations by changing conversations about how organizations are produced in people's minds.

The document advocates for supportive leadership over directive styles, and emphasizes trust, empowerment and developing others. It presents a framework for developing from a stabilizing to thriving level of agile leadership.

What are all the things you think about and take care of when you invite people for a little party? Lots of decisions and many invisible actions are happening beforehand. In the English language there is a nice word that captures this all: hosting. But you cannot only host parties, also conversations and collective learning processes benefit from good hosting. And it is not the same as ‘facilitating the meeting’. Can you image you would facilitate a dinner with friends or family? Hosting is different, it goes deeper and is beyond facilitation. The term Art of Hosting and Harvesting Conversations That Matter contains many elements: the convening, inviting, holding and guiding the conversations. This hosting practice and methodology is also known as the art of participatory leadership. In participatory leadership we want, just as in a successful party, that everyone can join in, feels safe and OK. Art of Hosting is crucial in the future of work, in a world where we no longer separate thinking from doing, in a world where everyone’s voice matters. Whether it is in your community, an Agile transformation or teams doing BAU.
Agile efforts typically begin in engineering but become stagnant when they fail to expand to other parts of the organization. This talk will explore the individual systems that must thrive for an entire organization to be agile. The four core elements that must exist for agility to scale with longevity and purpose are: alignment to strategy, customer-first values, lean discovery practices, and capacity for change. We will take an in depth look at how each element operates with agile methods and what is required for them to evolve within the business. Gain an understanding of how to move beyond following practices in isolation in order to achieve harmony in the full embrace of reciprocal agile principles at scale.
01. Rethinking Agile Leadership - Andrea Provaglio - #ScaBru18AgileConsortiumINT
The Agile world seems to have recently discovered the importance of "leadership". This can be very good news and it can also be very bad news. It’s bad news if the so-called “Agile Leadership” is a way to rebrand traditional management models, along with their underlying mindset, so that they could survive in a rather different cultural ecosystem — namely, Agile. On the other hand, this interest can be very good news if Agile Leadership is seen as something almost entirely new. In his presentation, Andrea showcases the unique qualities of Agile Leadership and how it requires a more mature understanding and practice in the entire organization.
The document discusses transforming company functions into skills. It suggests that instead of having departments organized around functions like development, design, and testing, companies could be organized around skills where employees have expertise like analyzing, designing, developing, and testing. This would allow employees to work across departments and projects based on their skills. It raises the question of whether human resources could be considered a skill as well under this new model.
The document outlines plans for self-organizing a tribe of around 200 people into chapters. It discusses selecting chapter coaches and finalizing preparations for a co-creation day where chapters will pitch ideas and self-select members. The schedule includes goals and recaps, pitches from families of ideas, an information market, two rounds of self-selection, and selecting and kicking off chapters.

The document discusses transitioning HR to an agile model. It proposes starting a "HR in Agile" workgroup to discuss how HR can help organizations transform to agile. Key topics include how agile values like autonomy and continuous learning relate to HR functions like hiring and skills development. The document advocates that HR embrace agile principles like facilitating learning agility, valueing multiskills over functions, and acting as an accelerator for organizational agility.
