OBJECTIVE OF ABS
The objective of this project is design the
automatic braking system is order to avoid
accident. In the foreign country this system is
used in the vehicle in night
BRAKE
 A brake is a mechanical device that inhibits motion by
absorbing energy from a moving system. It is used for
slowing or stopping a moving vehicle, wheel, axle, or to
prevent its motion, most often accomplished by means of
friction
TYPES OF BRAKES
Disc brake
 drum brake
 air brake
 hydraulic brake
 vacuum brake
 electromagnetic brake
AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM
IN this system we use a sensor based technology in
which when vehicle move on the road and any
abstract comes in front of vehicle then sensor
senses the abstraction and immediate offer a
braking system.
WORKING PRINCIPL
In this system we use one emitter and other receiver, emitter emits
infrared light which fall on object and after reflecting comes on
recesiver.the signal from the reciver goes to the photodiode which
amplified to the pin no.2 of IC 555 .the IC 555 is connected to
stepper motor which control the motion of stepper motor.
NEED OF BRAKING SYSTEM
 It must stop the vehicle with in a smallest possible
distance.
 It must strong enough to sustain sudden braking force.
 It must operate with least efforts by the driver

  • 2. OBJECTIVE OF ABS The objective of this project is design the automatic braking system is order to avoid accident. In the foreign country this system is used in the vehicle in night
  • 3. BRAKE  A brake is a mechanical device that inhibits motion by absorbing energy from a moving system. It is used for slowing or stopping a moving vehicle, wheel, axle, or to prevent its motion, most often accomplished by means of friction
  • 4. TYPES OF BRAKES Disc brake  drum brake  air brake  hydraulic brake  vacuum brake  electromagnetic brake
  • 5. AUTOMATIC BRAKING SYSTEM IN this system we use a sensor based technology in which when vehicle move on the road and any abstract comes in front of vehicle then sensor senses the abstraction and immediate offer a braking system.
  • 6. WORKING PRINCIPL In this system we use one emitter and other receiver, emitter emits infrared light which fall on object and after reflecting comes on recesiver.the signal from the reciver goes to the photodiode which amplified to the pin no.2 of IC 555 .the IC 555 is connected to stepper motor which control the motion of stepper motor.
  • 7. NEED OF BRAKING SYSTEM  It must stop the vehicle with in a smallest possible distance.  It must strong enough to sustain sudden braking force.  It must operate with least efforts by the driver
  • 8. COMPONENTS  DC MOTOR  DIODE  LIGHT EMITTING DIODE  PHOTO TRANSISTOR  IC

  • 14. ADVANTAGES  Avoid road accident  safety of driver  lest effort by the driver  stop the vehicle in shorten distance quickly sense the obstruction.
