PURPOSE
To inform the reader about the movie and give a breath idea of the plot, genre.
To promote the new movie that is coming to cinema.
DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT (GENRE & PLOT ELEMENTS FEATURED)
I am going to produce a film poster campaign for a horror film as part of the
promotional for the film “house of M”
Film is about:
Opening
A two teen (one boy one girl) whose parents get into an argument (it will be shown
with shadows) which will end up with one of them dead (the audience does not know
which of the parents killed and witch dies). After that the heroes ( Marty, he is 15 and
Lucy) run away (dark, cloudy outside) after a minute of running both next to a tree,
fade to black.
Middle
Marty and Lucy are woken up by police who question them about how they ended up
there and where there parents are, he does not speak and she escape to go to their
grandma. He is taken to the police station but before he gets there he escapes. After
he tries to get to his grandparents. He travels through a dark scary forest then gets
lost in the city where he encounters a gang who he befriends, has to fight alongside
them four 4-5 months, but when he steels and eventually kills someone and side the
gang, he runs away from the group.
End
The main character finds his grandparents’ house.
The plot element that I will feature are:
The house
Murder weapon
Night
The main characters (Marty and Lucy)
Forest
OUTLINE OF STYLE
Teaser poster:

Tagline: “Creeping to cinemas near you… Soon!” (appeal to horror fans)
THEATRICAL POSTER
Top left: Main character, teen age boy (appeals to male, and teens as he is that age) in
bright cloths, to show being naive, in a shadow and his sister (appals to females) in dark
clothing to show sadness. Background is a brick wall but with shadows cast over it (appeals
to horror fans as it shows fear and makes it more scary). Main character hear is messy. No
makeup
Top left and right separated by Black line.
Top right: Perrantes shadow’s fighting. Red background
Same movie logo as in teaser poster
Under the title there will be a bloody knife on a table (appeals to horror fans)
QUAD/QUAD CROWN THEATRICAL POSTER

messy hear, no makeup) in the middle running on a dirt path left to a city (city sky has a tint
of red) with his back covered in a shadow which is casted by a red house. Below all of this is
black with the Movie logo (same as in the other posters). There is a second path on which
Lucy is on and It leads thier grandma’s house.
Same across all
Colors: red (to show death) white (show the contrast between the main character and the
world he lives in) and black (to show how scary the city is)
House outline
Same Movie logo
Billing block
IMAGE LIST & BRIEF DESCRIPTION
 Pool of blood to show genre of the movie (horror) and how their will be death.
 Outline of house to show mystery and it makes it look universal as the house outline
is generic to show how it could happen anywhere.
 Parents shadows to show them not being there for the main character before the
takes place. To make the murder mysteries and confusing.
 Main character on the poster to show how the movie is about.
 Bright cloths to show innocence a how he is not ready for this to happen.
 City to show where a part of the narrative will take place.
 City has red sky to show danger.
 Dirt path to show how it is not easy.
 Night to show his fear and when the movie is taking place
FONT LIST & BRIEF DESCRIPTION
This font will be for the movie name as it suggests
horror.
This will be for the billing block with all the creators of the movie.
This will be for everything else (headline, relies date)
TARGET AUDIENCE (AGE, GENDER, LIFESTYLE, INTERESTS, SPENDING POWER)
Age: 16-30 as the main character is a young adult so the audience will be able to relate to
him more easily and up to 30 as stereotypically people older than that do not like horror.
Gender: Male as stereotypically they like horror movies more than Females, however they
also can enjoy the movie.
Class: C2 D E
This will apple to the casual cinema audience but enjoy horrors as the movie will have
relatable characters, so they might be interred how the hero reacts.
HOW THE POSTERS WILL APPEAL TO THE AUDIENCE
The colors will show how the movie is a horror and it will appeal to horror fans. The leads
will be a young adult which will appeal to the young adults as it will be relatable to them
and they could identify with them.
It will appeal to the C2 D and E as the family of the son is not rich and his parents were in
that social grope and when the main character runs away, he is in the lowest social group.
DISTRIBUTION
Year before realising
The distribution will start with the teaser poster on the Halloween before the movie realise.
Office website established and twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube are all also establish.
All are updated until film realise.
6 Months before realising
Teaser trailer realises
Theatrical poster released
2 months before realising
Theatrical trailer realises
Tv spots star appearing on tv
Trailers, posters and billboards become common
Posters
Posters are perhaps the most important part of the marketing as if someone is not
interested in a movie, they will not watch a trailer but a poster can be seen anywhere from
twitter and a cinema to bus stops and billboards an audience is much more likely to come
across a poster witch could be anywhere then a trailer witch needs a tv or computer to play
but a poster is a placed of paper witch could be hanged anywhere.
Week before realising
Promoted by social media influencers (On YouTube movie review channels and content
related to movies)
Frequent of TV spots increases
Interviews with Actors are common (On News programs and chat shows also on YouTube)
Exclusive content on social media
HOW & WHERE THE POSTERS WILL BE ADVERTISED
All posters will be resliced on social media and in Theatres to inform audiences that the
movie is coming. In the cinema posters will be near the ticket booth and near the projection
rooms as that is where people are likely to see them. People that go to the cinema often are
going to see the movie poster and if they are interested, they will see the movie. On Bus
stops as most casual viewer are going to see them there and if they are interested, they
might go and see it in cinema. The posters will also be on social media such as Twitter/
Instagram/ Facebook/ etc as this can reach a large audience at once plus if someone is
interested, they can like it or shear it with their followers who have a similar interest.
The posters will also be in the metro as there are thousands of users every day for example
in London so they will reach a causal audience, and this could encourage some of them to
see the movie in cinemas.
Trailers
When the trailer comes out it will be on TV past the watershed.
The trailer will be shown on YouTube as ads in videos.
POSITION IN THE MARKETPLACE
Overall, the marketing will show the genre of the film, a breath Idea of the narrative, the
main character. The posters have the same colours as in other horror posters such as in
“The Descent” or “Friday the 13th”.

To promote the new movie that is coming to cinema. DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT (GENRE & PLOT ELEMENTS FEATURED) I am going to produce a film poster campaign for a horror film as part of the promotional for the film “house of M” Film is about: Opening A two teen (one boy one girl) whose parents get into an argument (it will be shown with shadows) which will end up with one of them dead (the audience does not know which of the parents killed and witch dies). After that the heroes ( Marty, he is 15 and Lucy) run away (dark, cloudy outside) after a minute of running both next to a tree, fade to black. Middle Marty and Lucy are woken up by police who question them about how they ended up there and where there parents are, he does not speak and she escape to go to their grandma. He is taken to the police station but before he gets there he escapes. After he tries to get to his grandparents. He travels through a dark scary forest then gets lost in the city where he encounters a gang who he befriends, has to fight alongside them four 4-5 months, but when he steels and eventually kills someone and side the gang, he runs away from the group. End The main character finds his grandparents’ house. To make the murder mysteries and confusing.  Main character on the poster to show how the movie is about.  Bright cloths to show innocence a how he is not ready for this to happen.  City to show where a part of the narrative will take place.  City has red sky to show danger.  Dirt path to show how it is not easy.  Night to show his fear and when the movie is taking place FONT LIST & BRIEF DESCRIPTION This font will be for the movie name as it suggests horror.
  • 3. This will be for the billing block with all the creators of the movie. This will be for everything else (headline, relies date) TARGET AUDIENCE (AGE, GENDER, LIFESTYLE, INTERESTS, SPENDING POWER) Age: 16-30 as the main character is a young adult so the audience will be able to relate to him more easily and up to 30 as stereotypically people older than that do not like horror. Gender: Male as stereotypically they like horror movies more than Females, however they also can enjoy the movie. Class: C2 D E This will apple to the casual cinema audience but enjoy horrors as the movie will have relatable characters, so they might be interred how the hero reacts. HOW THE POSTERS WILL APPEAL TO THE AUDIENCE The colors will show how the movie is a horror and it will appeal to horror fans. The leads will be a young adult which will appeal to the young adults as it will be relatable to them and they could identify with them. It will appeal to the C2 D and E as the family of the son is not rich and his parents were in that social grope and when the main character runs away, he is in the lowest social group. DISTRIBUTION Year before realising The distribution will start with the teaser poster on the Halloween before the movie realise. Office website established and twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube are all also establish. All are updated until film realise. 6 Months before realising Teaser trailer realises Theatrical poster released 2 months before realising Theatrical trailer realises Tv spots star appearing on tv Trailers, posters and billboards become common Posters Posters are perhaps the most important part of the marketing as if someone is not interested in a movie, they will not watch a trailer but a poster can be seen anywhere from twitter and a cinema to bus stops and billboards an audience is much more likely to come across a poster witch could be anywhere then a trailer witch needs a tv or computer to play but a poster is a placed of paper witch could be hanged anywhere.
  • 4. Week before realising Promoted by social media influencers (On YouTube movie review channels and content related to movies) Frequent of TV spots increases Interviews with Actors are common (On News programs and chat shows also on YouTube) Exclusive content on social media HOW & WHERE THE POSTERS WILL BE ADVERTISED All posters will be resliced on social media and in Theatres to inform audiences that the movie is coming. In the cinema posters will be near the ticket booth and near the projection rooms as that is where people are likely to see them. People that go to the cinema often are going to see the movie poster and if they are interested, they will see the movie. On Bus stops as most casual viewer are going to see them there and if they are interested, they might go and see it in cinema. The posters will also be on social media such as Twitter/ Instagram/ Facebook/ etc as this can reach a large audience at once plus if someone is interested, they can like it or shear it with their followers who have a similar interest. The posters will also be in the metro as there are thousands of users every day for example in London so they will reach a causal audience, and this could encourage some of them to see the movie in cinemas. Trailers When the trailer comes out it will be on TV past the watershed. The trailer will be shown on YouTube as ads in videos. POSITION IN THE MARKETPLACE Overall, the marketing will show the genre of the film, a breath Idea of the narrative, the main character.
