1. POSTERCAMPAIGNPROPOSAL
PROJECT TITLE
Demon run
FORMAT & SIZES
Teaser, theatrical poster and crown theatrical poster.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the poster is to capture the attention of the audience to want to watch it and be
entertained by what they are watching when it comes out in cinema and on DVD. It will need an
appropriate photo to entice people to want to watch the film just from seeing the photo and poster
that has been produced about the film.
DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT (GENRE & PLOT ELEMENTS FEATURED)
I am going to produce a film poster campaign for a horror film as part of the promotional
materials for the film ‘resident evil: biohazard’. The film is about someone exploring an
abandoned house in the hopes to find their wife who’s been lost for 3 years but then the husband
randomly gets a recorded message from her to stay away, so he gets curious and goes to find her
and ends up in a place full of demons who try to kill him, his wife unknowingly being one of
them, and he has to try and survive and help his wife be brought back from them and escape while
fighting off the demons trying to kill him. The plot elements that I will feature in the poster are
the horror and the setting of the area that it will roughly take place in.
OUTLINE OF STYLE
The first poster will be of just the name on a black screen so then they can wait and build
suspense to the film and wait to find out the sort of stuff in the film. The second film poster will
find the detail be more bigger to the people as they will find out the sort of film and be able to see
what it’s about to then want to watch the film.
IMAGE LIST & BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Id try use photos that are spooky and make the whole vibes seem spooky and fit the vibes of the
film genre which is going to be horror, id try and get an abandoned house and try and get some
photos of it with someone stood there but you cant see the person and want to know who it is in
the film and it could help build suspense
FONT LIST & BRIEF DESCRIPTION
I will have a font of bold and decent size of a whole poster and its going to be seen at the bottom
of the poster giving the whole poster image enough room to be seen but also giving the title of the
film enough space as it will be able to be seen more clearer while the whole poster is able to be
seen in detail for it to entice the people seeing it to be joining them in the cinema to watch the
film.
2. POSTERCAMPAIGNPROPOSAL
TARGET AUDIENCE (AGE, GENDER, LIFESTYLE, INTERESTS, SPENDING
POWER)
The target audience is mainly for horror film enjoyers at the age of 15+ that can be any genders
from any lifestyle, but they’re going to need to enjoy the style of film that scares and jump scares
them randomly.
HOW THE POSTERS WILL APPEAL TO THE AUDIENCE
The genre of it is horror which will be interested to the audience of people from the age of 15 –
30-year-olds and they would want to watch the film with their friends. The main character is a
man who is trying to find his wife and survive the demons that are trying to keep him there and
not let him escape. It will attract the audience of horror films to watch the films and enjoy it.
DISTRIBUTION
It’ll help in distribution and the people will know when the film will be out and all the details of
the film, and they would place it all over the internet and anywhere they can to be able to
advertise it and distribute it to the audience so then it can get around a bit more to be able to have
people watch it.
MARKETING - HOW & WHERE THE POSTERS WILL BE ADVERTISED
They’d distribute the poster and trailer at cinemas, on film websites that advertise new films, and
have it somewhere that people will be able to see so then they can put it up on anywhere that can
put something up to be able to advertise it and show people about it
POSITION IN THE MARKETPLACE
The position may be a bit low in the marketplace but as soon as the posters trailer and film comes
out, it would go higher in the marketplace as people would probably enjoy watching the film and
want to see it after seeing the sort of film it is.
