PURPOSE
Promote a movie

I am going to produce a film poster campaign for a fantasy film as part of the promotional
materials for the film Kingdoms of Dragons.
The film is about a village cursed by dragons where people of the village use certain stances and
actions to summon and manipulate a “dragon” to help fend off the real dragons
The plot elements that I will feature in the poster are rising action, climax, falling action and a
cliff-hanger
OUTLINE OF STYLE
For my first poster, there will be a dragon silhouette in the background over a full moon. In the
foreground, there will be a city, and, in the background, the color schemes will be a grey and a
night blue color for the sky along with hints of red to make it a little bit more mysterious.
For my second poster, there will be a dragon silhouette behind the main character. In the
background, there will be the silhouette, and, in the foreground, there is the main character. The
color schemes will be dark on the silhouette and the main character in full color to make it stand
out and the dragons' eyes are red to represent danger.
For my last poster, there will be a sword coming out of dragon scales. In the foreground, there
will be the sword and the background will be scales. The color schemes will be black for the
scales and silver for the sword.

HOW THE POSTERS WILL APPEAL TO THE AUDIENCE
The main character will have to overcome many mental and physical obstacles so people who
need motivation to do something. The main group of characters ages will be between 15-30 and
will appeal to those ages due to having to overcome challenges. Any class, over 15, any race,
religion, and any gender. I would prefer to stick with conventional methods used in fantasy
posters such as having a red title to make it mysterious.
DISTRIBUTION
The action of sharing something to a mass audience
It will be eye catching with the opposing colours and a cool but mysterious dragon
It is an established for of distribution
A campaign is used to help spread interest and curiosity within anyone who views the poster
I will release my teaser poster first as it will entice potential viewers. The first poster will be
released 6 months before the release, then release the other two posters 2 months after the teaser
one to help build hype for the movie. The posters will be posted outside of cinemas.
MARKETING - HOW & WHERE THE POSTERS WILL BE ADVERTISED
We will show trailers before a movie starts. We will advertise it on movies that fit similar genres
to gather more of an audience.
Another place we can advertise is between TV shows, which also have a similar genre to the
movie I will be making.

Demon slayer: Mugen train
My posters are like the posters I researched as the demon slayer poster also contains the
antagonist in the poster, and in my poster, I will show the dragon in many of them. Another
similarity is it has the main area in the poster (mine being the city) which all the posters I have
researched contain the main building or areas.
My posters will appeal to people who like anime style media as it will contain that sort of
comical and flashy feel to the movie, such as a lot of special effects.
