realization that Rose hit a deer, Chris gets out of the car and hears the deer whining
in the woods. Chris then goes to investigate the woods for the deer and Jordan Peele
incorporates mysterious music and close up shots of Chris to create a feeling of
suspense for us. We become anxious and become concerned for Chris s encounter
with the deerin the woods. Will the deer still be alive? Will the deer attack Chris?
Chris enters the woods and sees the deer laying on the ground, with its eyes open

History An observation was performed through an old grade school friend named
Stacie who is now married with two children. She has a daughter Mia, a nine year
old fourth grader and a 23 month old son named Brady. When Mia was around four

raised by a single parent. At approximately six years of age, she grew out of the
rebellious stage, which was coincidentally when Stacie met her future husband,
Erik. Mia responded well to Erik now idealizes him as a father figure. After Stacie

However, Brady has displayed some behavior issues at his daycare. The staff at the
center reported that he has been frequently biting other toddlers and has often been
sent home. One of the employees at the daycare has stated that Brady bites when he

Many popular movies these days are based on world famous books and stories, like
The Veldt by Ray Bradbury. Some movies may be very similar to its story, but
usually they re quite different. This is usually caused because the movie will be too
long if they try to include all the details that the book provides. But is it completely
true? This is why I will be comparing a short story to it s short film, called The Veldt
by Ray Bradbury.
First, the characters, in this story they re five main characters, one of them being
George Hadley, the father, George is striker in the story and consistent with his
decision, and Lydia Hadley, the mother was really paranoid but became more laid
back towards the end. In the movie though they switched roles. George was not
consistent with his decisions and was very easygoing at the start of ... Show more
The plot had some major differences as well as its similarities, for example, when
Lydia was frightened by the lions and when Peter and Wendykilled their parents. The
film did follow the same storyline and had the same plot but also had some slight
differences here and there, for example ... In the story, George and Lydia found a
wallet and a scarf in the nursery, but they found a purse in the movie. The children
didn t land in the space ship and they didn t even mention the plastic carnival.
There were no whining or jumping on couch s as referenced in the story when the
kids heard the news about locking up the nursery, they just got mad and ran
towards the nursery. When the Parents were supposedly chased by lions, Lydia
wasn t crying, the story made it seem more dramatic than it appeared in the video.
As well as Peter called George George in the movie instead of Father or Dad, this
was not mentioned in the story, but it did show how he didn t really think of
George as his Dad. There were also a little foreshadowing at the end when George
told Lydia to RIP Rest in peace then shortly after they

Sharks of the World Sharks are seen in many eyes as the king of the ocean. There
are many different types of sharks, and some can even pose a threat to human lives.
There are many movies about sharks, and while most of them are exaggerated, sharks
are still undoubtedly one of the most vicious creatures in the world. Sharksare a large
species with many different characteristics and diversities.
While there are some well known sharks, such as great whites or hammerheads,
most people don t know there are over 400 species of these underwater beasts
(Worldwildlife). While every sharkis carnivorus, there are many other characteristics
that vary greatly in sharks. For example, they range in adult size from the 8 inch
dwarf lantershark to the massive

and when you look at their thermoregulation tactics you would realize that this is

As stated above the arctic weasel uses its preys burrows and fur in order to insulate
and prevent the environment from taking its toll on the weasel s body temperature.
The polar bear uses a tactic that involves Rayleigh scattering in order to capture
radiant energy that is being reflected off the snow and ice in the arctic environment.
The hairs on the polar bears coat trap this radiant energy from the sun and bounce it
around allowing its black skin to absorb the heat energy before the excess radiation

Based upon the understanding obtained with figure 1, we can then compare it to
the contents of figure 2 (Pierotti, 1980) where you can see how many of our species
(Weasel s, polar bear s, and seals) use other methods such as insulation in order to
prevent the heat from being lost as opposed to making more energy then what is
lost. Figure 2 displays the insulation factors of the fat/fur of many of the species I
