The document outlines Chris Law's pre-production plan for creating an audio project containing sound effects, music, and narration. It details the specific sound effects and sources, a YouTube music track, locations and props needed to record sounds, contingency plans for potential issues, health and safety considerations, and a 7-day schedule to complete the project. Nearly all sounds and the narration will be recorded by Chris using everyday items in their home.
2. Sound Effects
Sound Effect How/Where will it be used Source
Door slam In the demonic section My own door slam
Floorboard creak Ghost section my own floor creek
scratching In the demonic section my own scratching
Demonic voice Demonic section I will make the voice
Innocent voice Ghost section I will make the voice
Narrator Before and after audio I will narrate
Dog bark Ghost section My dog’s bark
Nearly all of the effects and audio clips will
be my own and I will make the sounds out
of everyday stuff.
3. Music
Track Name/Artist How/Where will it be used Source
Instrumental scary music It will be used in the
background of my
commentary
YouTube
This is all the music that I will need for my product. I have changed my idea, originally I
was going to use a song with a quite background but I have decided to use a music
video on YouTube that is perfect.
4. Props & Locations
Props needed Locations needed for
sound effects
I will only need myself Most sounds will be made in my home and
created by myself.
I will use the kitchen door The reason for the kitchen door is because the
echo that it gives off would be useful for my
product, plus it can slam easier.
I can use the wall and my fingers to make the
scratching noises
I will use the wall in the front room since one
wall needs sanding so It would create a perfect
sound effect.
Floor board for creaking I will use the floor at the top of the stairs since
that is probably the best place for recording for
the sound of a creaking floor.
I would use a Pringles can for the demonic voice All I’d have to do is buy a Pringles can and try to
make my voice as deep as possible.
For the Innocent voice I’d use premiere I’d use premiere to adjust my voice to be softer
and higher.
5. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
my work could not save properly and become
corrupted.
save twice one on my USB and second to the
cloud as a backup. Just incase my USB get
broken, loose it or the storage is full.
The audio equipment could not work properly
and break down or not record the sounds or
anything.
I would use my phone since its got a decent
microphone and is good quality for recording
sounds and I can link my phone and the
computer together and transfer the sound file.
it could be difficult getting my dog to bark and
especially in a quiet room without my other dog
barking mad.
I would have to make sure I was in a quiet
room alone with domino so I can record a clear
and distinctive bark.
it could rain or another weather that could ruin
the audio for that sound that I’m recording
I would make sure that I recording when it was
a clear day with no interruptions what so ever.
I could drop my drink over the computer or on
my recording device.
The solution would to either use another
computer or to unplug the computer soaked
and try to dry it and recover all data with my
production on it.
6. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
If I spill water over the computer and get it
covered In water I could electrocute myself. Or
worse I could slip on the water that has leaked
on the floor this could cause a serious accident
with fatal effects. Like hitting my head really
hard on the floor or table.
I would stand away from the computer and try
to unplug the computer from the mains to
prevent a fire, then try to collect my memory
stick and clean up the water and pray that my
work wasn’t lost the best thing I could of done
is save to the cloud before this happened this
would basically prevent me from redoing the
work again
while recording all the separate audio files I
could hurt myself especially trying to record the
perfect door slam. I could get my fingers stuck
in the doorway or badly hit my toe with the
door.
I can try to prevent this by making sure I’m at a
safe distance so I wont be hurt by the door. I
could also use some string and attach it to the
door handle this would be easy to do since I
could cut out all the other audio that I have no
use for. Because I can just leave the recorder on
the ground.
Its probably never going to happen but if my
recording device short circuits and sets on fire. I
could get burnt or cause a fire.
I will make sure I don’t overheat or put water
anywhere near the recording device hopefully
by doing these simple steps I will avoid getting
burned or starting a fire.
7. Schedule
Day Plan of Action Resources Required

recorder.
Day 5 once I’ve done that I would start with the second
section which would be the spiritual section with an
innocent ghost. This would be a more moral moment
where u question what happens after death when
there is innocent voices calling for help.
premiere
Day 6 The last section would include inputting the
demonic voices and sounds. I’d also add the music in
the background for better and darker background
music.
