Midsummer Night Dream Venus And Adonis Analysis
Iyanna Penigo
Ms. Chirat
Period 4
May 13, 2017 In the works of Midsummer s Night Dream, Venus and Adonis, and, Shakespeare
uses themes, motifs, allusions, and imagery to suggest his audience reread and deeply analyze
confusing passages several times to fully understand his masterpieces. In the play, A Midsummer
s Night Dream begins with Theseus, Duke of Athens, preparing for his marriage to Hippolyta,
Queen of the Amazons, with a four day festival. Egeus, a citizen of Athens, goes to see Theseus
with a complaint against his daughter: although Egeus has promised Hermia in marriage to
Demetrius, who loves her, Lysander has won Hermia s heart and refuses to obey her father and
marry Demetrius. Theseus speaks to Hermia, warning her to expect to be sent to a nunnery or put
to death if she doesn t obey her father s wishes. Lysander interrupts, accusing Demetrius of being
fickle in love, saying he was once engaged to Hermia s friend, Helena but abandoned her after he
laid eyes on Hermia. (Shakespeare, Act I Scene i) Demetrius, Egeus, Hippolyta, and Theseus take
off leaving Hermia alone with Lysander. While given the time to be alone, Hermia and Lysander
create a plan to be married at her house, because the manor is outside of Athens they would be
free from the Athenian law. Later in the scene, Helena enters the room, lovesick and deeply
depressed because Demetrius no longer loves her. From the Outset, Shakespeare subtly displays
the lovers as a group out of balance, a

Single Gene Disorder
When a certain gene is known to cause a disease, it is referred as a single gene disorder or a
Mendelian disorder. These disorders involve mutations in the DNA sequences of single genes.
As a result, the protein the gene codes for is either altered or missing (Landsverk, 2013). Few
examples of single gene disorders includes cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease, Fragile X
syndrome, muscular dystrophy, or Huntington disease. As a rule, single gene disorders are not
very common. For example, only one in 2,500 people are born with cystic fibrosis. There are a
number of inheritance patterns of single gene disorders that are predictable when you know what
they are. There are three main transmission patterns: autosomal dominant, autosomal recessive, and
X linked or sex linked recessive (Mahdieh, 2013).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
LSDs result from incompletely digested macromolecules due to loss of enzyme function
(Filocamo, 2013). These enzymes normally break down items for reuse in the cells. If the
enzymes are missing or don t work properly, then the items can build up and become toxic. This
happens in an area of the cell called lysosomes. To date, 51 genetically determined lysosomal
storage diseases have been described. Since there can be different mutations of the same gene, they
result in different clinical manifestations and are classified as infantile and adult types. The
acquired disorders are the result of inhibition of О± mannosidase II by ingestion of plant materials
of Astragalus lentginous, Oxiftropis serica, Swainsona canescens, and Ipomoea carena as well as
treatment with certain drugs, such as amphophilic cationic drugs, amiodarone and chloroquine,
which induce phospholipidosis and MPS. There are 9 different inherited and 2 acquired
mechanisms that are known to cause lysosomal storage

Marine Corps Leadership Threats
Irregular warfare comes with irregular threats, and irregular threats must be approached with
irregular thinking. The Marine Corps Leadership Traits are the qualities that every Marine should
consider while engaging irregular threats, and are an integral part of leadership as a whole, because
they make up the basic foundation that our institution is built upon.
The three leadership traits that I feel are most important when operating against irregular threats are
Judgment, Initiative, and Courage, both moral and physical. These characteristics are fundamental
to not only an individual s success, but the success of the team. They are the blueprint that drives
the Marine Corps and its mission. The development of these traits can occur through ... Show more

Courage is broken into two categories; moral and physical. Moral courage is having the ability to
stand up for a defend what is right. Moral courage in an irregular environment can be having the
ability to differentiate between what is wrong, or right, such as when capturing an enemy prisoner.
You must have the understanding and strength to treat the prisoner with humility, rather than
letting your frustration and anger fog your ability to do what is right, and what you are bound by
law to do. While moral courage can be something that is instilled from childhood, the strength to
see it through in the worst of times will ultimately define your character. Physical courage is
having the strength to act when the presence of danger, or physical harm presents itself. The
ability to continue with the task, with the understanding that you may be injured, or killed, is one
of the greatest forms of courage. There are many scenarios to describe examples of having
physical courage, and it may not be able to be developed prior to actually testing yourself.
However, if you go into the any scenario with an understanding of your purpose and

Business and Management in Context
INTRODUCTION
A number of different major schools of management thoughts have been emerged since 100 years
ago. Various views of management have been arisen and affected the managerial skills both in the
past and the present.
The whole world had been changed dramatically during the last 100 years. As Clarke and Clegg
point out that the increasing rate of change and increasing complexity in the business world is
making it harder and harder for managers to find simple statements of management truth. This
assignment is going to discuss the changes in the last 50 years which have been affected the three
basic skills, Technical skill, Human skill and Conceptual skill, cited by Robert L. Katz in 1950s.
And try to compare Katz s work ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Technical skill is still one of the important elements for effective management.
Katz considered that human skill was significant for effective management. Managers should have
ability to work with, understand and motivate people as individuals or groups. Workers are critical
success factor to the implementation of management thoughts in achieving company s goal.
Respectively, managers have to show their support to their workers and provide them incentive to
work hard for the organisation.
Human relation approach would enhance the workers efficiency: the Hawthorne experiments have
pointed out the relationship between the human factors and productivity, such as by giving workers
a break and hot snack could increase the productivity. Furthermore, some new management ideas
were generated in this experiment, such as, leadership, communications, output restrictions,
motivation and job design (Morden, 1996). These skills are adopted by vast majority of modern
management.
Conceptual skill was also recommended by Katz. Managers are required to have mental ability to
coordinate and integrate all things related to organisation and to perceive things broadly.
Specialization is good enough to classify tasks into specific area; however, different management
functions shall not be put together. Therefore, manager should integrate all the elements of the
organisation s situation in order to maximize the productivity and profitability. This skill is very
similar

The Washington Redskinss Should Not Have To Change The...
While some people believe that the Redskins should not have to change their name, many people
believe the term redskin is offensive and can negatively affect the Native American people. Not
only should the Washington Redskins have to change their name, so should other teams who has
offensive name like the Cleveland Indians, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Atlanta Braves Tomahawk
Chop. Since 1992, when the first legal action against popped up, Native Americans activists have
battled to change these football team names. They say that the term redskin is a derogatory term
and that it is just as bad as the N word. They also believe that it has a negative effect on how they
are perceived and their identity in today s society. So not only should the Washington Redskins
change their football team name, but other teams should as well, because it can be very offensive
and hurtful towards the Native Americans. The offensive names of sports teams like the
Washington Redskins can negatively affect the identity of the Native American people. Susan
Shown Harjo, President of the Morning Star institute, questioned, How would you feel if you had
your home taken away from you and then watched as your identity was stolen for profit? It s
adding insult to injury. (Wulf, 2014). In 2005, the NCAA banned most Native American mascots
and said that they were no longer protected under the trademark protection law. This applied to
most of the teams, except those who keep ties with the tribes

Investment And Conflict Of Romantic Relationships
Investment and Conflict in Romantic Relationships Com 620 Mark Pace and Bo Zhang Investment
Model The theory of relationship investment is an effort to understand maintenance of ongoing
relationships. This model is an expansion of Kelly and Thirbaut s (1978) interdependence theory,
which specifies that satisfaction is a function of the reward value of a relationship, relative to
expectations, and that commitment stems from the superiority of a relationship, compared with
viable alternatives. Interdependence assumes that we evaluate the rewards and costs of our own
and our partner s various behaviors in a relationship, and that both partner s actions and preferences
impact the nature of the relationship. Rusbult (1980) expanded interdependence theory to include
that commitment was determined by satisfaction, quality of alternatives, and investments with
subcategories of intrinsic, and extrinsic. Intrinsic includes example ideas like emotion and time
while extrinsic includes ideas like mutual friends and shared activities. Rustbult s expansion
included the value of resources gained through involvement in a relationship and also resources
devoted to developing the association. This model views the ending of a relationship as a loss of
resources. Further research such as longitudinal studies on the topic of investment have only
strengthened the theory (Bui, Peplau, Hill 1996). The investment model predicts that commitment
should increase as the relationship

Some Keep The Sabbath Going To Church
Getting to Heaven
Some keep the Sabbath going to Church 236
In the poem Some keep the Sabbath going to Church, the theme is that there is more than one way
to get to Heaven(1, 1668). The persona suggests that this is true because they still have a
relationship with God; they just worship differently than what is accepted by society. In the line
that reads, And an Orchard, for a dome, Dickinson uses imagery to paint a picture for the reader(4,
1668). The image is an orchard of trees that provides her with a safe place for worship instead of the
traditional church sanctuary. She is suggesting that nature, the things unspoiled by humankind, is
whatone really needs for worship and gaining a relationship with God. The practices that many
religions believe have to be performed are unnecessary because God is with you all the time and
not just when you are in church. It is just as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the first line of the last stanza she writes God preaches, a noted Clergyman (9, 1668). This is
inferring that she gets her spiritual food directly from God; there is no need for a middle man.
There is a practice used by a well known religion that a person needs to confess their sins to their
priest in order to be forgiven of them and made new. This is another way that a middle man is
used in religious practices. The Bible reads no one comes to the Father except through me (John
14:6). Dickinson is going by the words of the Bible instead of the words of mankind. The final
two lines of the poem read So instead of getting to Heaven, at last I m going, all along (11, 1668).
The connotation of these words relay to the reader that along with all the church goers she, the
one who exercises her own, individual beliefs and practices, will be right there with them going
to Heaven. It s almost as if she is obnoxiously poking at the religious people of her time proving
that you don t have to always do things a specific

Essay On Brain Stimulation
At baseline, before stimulation, it was found that the more depressed an individual was, the less
activation there was in the prefrontal lobes and caudate nucleus (Teneback et. al, 1999). Teneback
et. al (1999) also noted that following high frequency treatment, they noticed that the people who
responded to the treatment had increased inferior frontal gyrus activity compared to those who did
not respond to treatment and days later they also had decreased medial temporal activity. The
prediction is that while both the responders and non responders showed changes in a Single Photon

al, 2012). It was also found that better outcomes occurred for patients that were younger with a
lower baseline depression (Carpenter et. al, 2012). Studies have found improvement in cognitive
functioning along with symptoms of depression. The improvement of depression symptoms was
linked with an improvement in visuospatial memory, verbal memory, long term memory recall,
working memory, information processing speed, and orientation (Serafini et. al, 2015). It is
predicted that the improvement in cognitive functioning occurs due to the relief of symptoms, but
it is also postulated that the improvement of cognitive function improves depressive symptoms
(Serafini et. al, 2015; Kedzior et. al, 2015). However, more research needs to be done to determine
the temporal precedence and to better understand the cognitive improvement. Research is still being
done to determine the best techniques to have the maximum impact when using TMS to treat
depression. Currently, the length of stimulation and number of sessions is standardized, so little to
no research is being completed. Two weeks of daily sessions with a 30 second cycle, 2 seconds
stimulation and 28 seconds off, repeated 40 times per session. Since this protocol has been proven
to be effective in countless studies, there is not a rush to find a better alternative. It was found that
people who improve with low frequency stimulation get worse with high frequency stimulation,

The Five Concepts Of Marketing Tools And Online Marketing
Task 3
3a Marketing communications are the means by which firms attempt to inform, persuade, and
remind consumers directly or indirectly about the products and brands that they sell. (Kotler and
Keller)
Offline marketing is the traditional way of doing marketing that does not involve the use of the
internet. The five elements of the marketing communication mix pertaining to traditional marketing
are;
Advertising Radio, TV, billboards, newspapers, cinema
PR and Events Press conferences and press releases, seminars, sponsorship of arts or cultural events
Direct marketing Flyers, brochures, mail shots
Personal Selling Sales presentation, sales meetings, trade fairs
Promotion Buy one get one free, price off deals, samples, bonus packs
Whereas, the latest addition to the marketing communication mix is Digital Marketing which
includes methods of advertising or promotion using the internet such as SEO, Google Adwords,
Mobile Marketing, Email Marketing and Social Media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook,
Twitter, Youtube to name a few.

the desired period at a lower cost. It is also quicker and easier to make changes to adverts online
than for example in print advertising or in a TV commercial. Also, production costs are much

Short Summary Of Pyotr Tchaikovsky
Pyotr Tchaikovsky was one of the most loved composers in Russia. On May 7, 1840, in Votkinsk
in the Vyatka region of Russia, Tchaikovsky was born to a middle class family and was the
second son of Lieutenant Colonel Ilya Petrovich Tchaikovsky, chief mine inspector of the
Kamsko Votkinsk mines and metallurgical. Not much is said about Tchaikovsky mother, but we
do know that she, Alexandra Andreyevna, was the second wife out of three, had an ear for music
and played the piano, she was able to speak two languages: French and German. The two had six
children together and one child from his previous marriage. At age four, Tchaikovsky composed
his first piece Our Mama in Petersburg , his father was impressed by the small composition, but
thought it was a phase. In 1844, the education of the young Tchaikovsky and his siblings was put in
the hands of Fanny DГјrbach, a twenty two year old French Governess. She noticed that young
Pyotr Tchaikovsky had different qualities from his brothers and sisters, he did not care about his
appearance, but he was very affectionate and had a big heart. Fanny DГјrbach claimed that young
Tchaikovsky would start tapping on the window pane, playing a tune he that would be trapped in
his head, she considered his obsession with music unhealthy. (Pg. 13. Tchaikovsky , Weinstock.). In
1848, a friend Tchaikovsky father urged him to retire from government service and was promised

1.Define an SLA and state why it is required in a risk adverse Organization?
A service level agreement (SLA) is a document that identifies an expected level of performance. It
identifies the minimum uptime or the maximum downtime. Organizations use SLAs as contracts
between a service provider and a customer. An SLA can identify monetary penalties if the terms are
not met. If your organization has SLAs with other organizations, these should be included in the risk
management review. You should pay special attention to monetary penalties. For example, an SLA
could specify a maximum downtime of four hours. After four hours, hourly penalties will start to
accrue. You can relate this to the maximum acceptable outage (MAO).

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
FERPA applies to all education institutions and agencies that receive funding under any program
administered by the U.S. Department of Education (ED).
The obvious examples are any public schools from grades K through 12. However, many other
entities can receive funding from ED. This includes any school or agency offering preschool
programs. It includes any institution of higher education. It can also include community colleges or
any other education institution.
Children s Internet Protection Act (CIPA)
CIPA applies to any school or library that receives funding from the U.S. E Rate program. The
Federal Communications Commission (FCC) sponsors the E Rate program. It provides discounts
for Internet access. Schools and libraries are not required to use the E Rate program. However, if
they choose to take advantage of the discounts, they are governed by CIPA. The annual E Rate
application requires schools and libraries to certify they are complying with CIPA.
Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)
PCI DSS is not a law. Instead, it is a standard that was jointly created by several credit card
companies. Any organization that accepts credit card payments over the Internet needs to comply
with PCI DSS..

Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address
Throughout the semester, the readers have been clashing with each other over which label best fits
the author, but they have ignored the minute particulars. These readers are looking at the forest as a
broad generalization, and they are missing out on what the forest really is... a bunch of trees. All of
these trees are diverse but similar: they are American authors, and the forest is American literature.
One might think that this is a flimsy analogy, but it is the most apt and succinct way of explaining
this issue. To truly understand any text, one must couch it within historical context; to be valid, an
interpretation has to make sense within the historical context, and it has to agree with the minute
particulars of the text. If either of these criterion are not met, then the interpretation will not be
representative of the text whatsoever. It is imperative that one pay heed to the minute particulars
and the text s historical context: otherwise, the text will be vastly misinterpreted and
misrepresented in any discussion of the text. The students grossly mischaracterized Abraham
Lincolns Gettysburg Address as a pro abolitionist tract; they also seemed to think that President
Lincoln was some divine martyr for anti slavery sentiment, and that he was an exemplary person
with regards to American identity. They could not be further from the truth. Historical context is
paramount to understanding Lincoln s Gettysburg Address . The text starts off with an appeal to

The Death Of Ivan Ilych Analysis
In Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy s The Death of Ivan Ilych, protagonist Ivan Ilych lives a life he
considers to be marvelous and filled with the things he wants and considers important (both
physical and emotional). He has a wonderful job he s good at, a beautiful family, a lovely house,
and friends to play games like bridge with in the evenings. One day, when he is fixing up his
new home before his family arrives, he hits his side after slipping by making bad step on a
ladder. He convinces himself that it is only a bruise, and that the pain will pass. The pain doesn t
simply pass, though. Doctor after doctor attempts to diagnose what might possibly be wrong with
him, but none of them are able to agree on what his injury is. As he continues to live his life as he
planned, the sensation of pain continues to come back to him repeatedly until he is eventually on
his deathbed. As he realizes he is approaching the very end of his life, Ivan Ilych ponders over his
life and begins to question himself, asking What if my whole life has been wrong? (Tolstoy 54). He
comes to the conclusion that the things that are important are not tangible items such as money or
property. Rather, he decides that the things that truly matter in life are intangible, such as happiness,
compassion, and facing the truth. He realizes too late that these important feelings and concepts
have been missing from his life all along.

The Causes And Cons Of Chemistry In Chemistry
After completion of the transesterification reaction employed at the optimal conditions, the catalyst
was collected from the reactant mixture by filtration; the catalyst was washed with hexane several
times to remove the adhered oil particles, and then dried at 110В°C for 2 hr. The catalyst was
reused several times without further treatment to obtain FAME from WCSO.
To evaluate catalyst stability, the optimum amount of CaO that was obtained by examining the
operating condition was stirred with 38ml methanol at the optimum conditions obtained. After the
catalyst was separated, methanol was mixed with 30 ml WCSO and the reaction was carried out
under the optimum conditions, 65В°C, methanol: oil ratio 30:1, 3 hr. and 300 rpm.
3.Results and discussion
3.1 Catalyst characterization
The synthesized CaO catalyst was subjected to different temperatures and times of calcination. The
calcination time and temperature change the catalyst structure; consequently, this affects catalyst
activity and the concentration of FAMEs produced. The impact of different calcination
temperatures, 700 В°C, 750 В°C, 800 В°C, 850 В°C, and 900 В°C, and durations, 1, 2, 3, 4, and
5 hr, were tested for the transesterification of WCSO to produce biodiesel. The eggshell powder
showed an apparent color different from the color before calcination as shown in Figure 1. Table 3
shows that exposing egg shell powder to a longer time and higher temperature of calcination results
in a lighter white color. Being whiter

Logan And Cultural Imperialism
The film, Logan is laced with a couple of the course concepts which are powerlessness, othering,
cultural imperialism, marginalization, and lastly violence. Regardless, the two concepts discussed
in class which impacted the most while analyzing the film are violence and cultural imperialism.
Certainly, violence stood out like an oasis in a barren desert when Wolverines hand is covered in
blood and shaking at the beginning. Cultural imperialism is a key concept when Dr. Xander and
Pierce are together getting out of the helicopter. Which means they are human and are working
together to destroy all mutants.

Correspondingly, systematic violence is a concept which intensely develops through the film. The
mutants captured are mentally and physically abused to create children with their powers and they
will be used as killing machines. As a matter of fact, before the mutant genocide, they helped
humans when they were in a life and death situation and now the people are paying them by killing
the whole mutant population. According to The Five Faces of Oppression written by Young states
that Some groups live with the knowledge that they most fear random, unprovoked attacks / which
have no motive but to damage, humiliate and destroy the person (Young 61). The whole X Men
team, which consisted of mutants is gone since the Reavers are killing the mutants and creating
genetically engineered children with the same abilities as the mutants in order to use them as their
secret weapon.
In order, for the mutants to survive the genocide they need to stay together. Previously, without a
doubt, Wolverine had to protect Charles even though his healing factor is slowing down because
of all the drugs he is digesting. After, they find Laura, who is only 11 years old and is able to kill
like Logan and with faster reflexes than him. As a matter of fact, it is expected that she will be the
new protector of Wolverine because in the film, Logan is shown sleeping on her lap and she was

pitches to consistently control because it seems to just float in the air and can t be easily placed.

The most important finger to be able to throw the curveball is the middle finger. The pitcher will
find a seam that will give resistance to the middle finger to get more control and spin on the ball.
This is how the spin on the curveball is so tight. According to Steven Ellis, The throwing elbow
must be equal to or slightly above the throwing shoulder. You must stay over the top when you
throw the curveball. Throwing it when it s under your shoulder then you put additional stress on
your arm. Also if the arm is at an angle larger than 90 degrees then it also puts additional stress
on your arm. The placement of your arm will be alot closer to your head then you re normal
fastball. It will be slightly up and away from your ear. When you release the curveball you want
to release it out in front of you. The way you release the ball is the type of action you want the
pitch to have. When releasing a curveball, your wrist will be hooked and your hand will pull
down in front of your body, says Steven Ellis. The further you release the ball from your head, the
less grip you will have on the ball, resulting in a looser spin on your pitch. It is extremely important
that you maintain similar arm speed with your curveball that you have with your fastball. A hitter
reads arm speed. says Steven

Categorization Of Intriguing Compounds Lab Report
The Categorization of Intriguing Substances An ionic compound is the electrostatic attraction
between protons and electrons that are transferred between two atoms. Ionic bonds occur with a
metal and a nonmetal atom. Metals lose electrons to create cations, while nonmetals gain electrons
to make anions. Covalent compounds occur only in nonmetals, which is characterized by the
sharing of pairs of electrons between atoms and other covalent bonds. Additionally, the melting and
boiling point of ionic bonds are high, whereas covalent bonds are low. Since electrons and ions are
shared in covalent compounds, it lacks moving electrons or ions. Therefore, electricity cannot be

On the other hand, covalent compounds may take the form of either solid, liquid, or gas; moreover,
they are loose and molecular. Once the ions are dissolved, the presence of charged particles
distributed throughout the liquid allows the solution to conduct electricity. Therefore, ionic
compounds have higher melting and boiling points compared to covalent compounds. Similarly,
ionic compounds dissolved in water make an electrically conductive solution, which are able to
move freely through the solution carrying the charge and conducts an electric current.
Correspondingly, covalent compounds do not exhibit any electrical conductivity in either pure form
or when it is dissolved in water. Thus, ionic compounds dissolve in water and have higher melting

Differences Between Race And Class
When it comes to the topics of race and class those two topics cannot be talked about without

How to Make- Cupcakes
Cakes are often connected with fun, happiness, excitement and celebration. Cakes have been a
part of many traditions all over the world synchronizing festivities. A variety of styles and
themes are used in association to cakes, depending on the particular celebration, there are many
different occasions such as birthdays, Mother s day, Father s day, 4Th of July festivities, baby
showers and weddings. Cakes are decorated with flowers, flags and cartoon characters to place
cakes. An assortment of flavors such as vanilla the most easiest to please, carrots cakes, fruit
lemon cakes, marble cakes, chocolate cakes; there are whimsical cakes, small cakes, large cakes,
individual cakes called cakepops, and my favorite, Gourmet cupcakes. Cupcakes have been more
frequently used these days. They are easily consumed with less of a mess to clean later. Cupcakes
are affordable, east to make and deemed efficient in terms of price to quantity of people attending
the celebration. They are typically decorated or frosted with sugar icing, fondant, and butter cream.
With busy lifestyle both me and my children, the box mix is easiest and quickest.
The first and most important step is to select the flavor of cake in consideration of the individual
you are baking for. Is it a family? A friend? Co worker? Do they have allergies to any specific

Institution Based Theory: An Evaluation
Introduction: Succeeding in international business is a tough job even for the most experienced
multinational enterprise; international business has never come at a small price. There are trade
barriers; cultural, political difficulties coupled with resource allocation and management strategy
issues. In the mist of all these challenges some MNEs especially those from developing countries
enter the international business arena with limited resources and experience and they still succeed.
The fundamental question is what makes developing countries MNEs succeed in international

In support of their argument Peng, Wang Jiang (2008) used four cases to illustrate the absolute
importance of institutions in international business. These are (1) antidumping as entry barriers, (2)
competing in and out of India, (3) growing the firm in China, and (4) governing the corporation in
emerging economies
a)Anti dumping as Entry barriers Peng, Wang Jiang (2008) argued that many developed countries
have rules against dumping of goods which is strategy employed by new entrants to eliminate
competition and gain market share. This is done by selling below the cost price and colluding with
others to increase price once the competition is eliminated. The local producers understand that they
are protected by law and can effectively prevent the Chinese who do not have institutional
framework from doing business in the region. Entrants must beware of the local laws and strategy
to be in compliance in other not to suffer and loss. This proves that knowledge of institutional frame
work is important.
b)Competing In and Out of China Peng, Wang Jiang (2008) also stated that political, social and

Romantic Comedies: Hitch vs. Along Came Polly In 2004, John Hamburg directed a movie
named Along Came Polly , a romantic comedy about betrayal and love. A year later Andy Tennant

York and illustrate the emotional and physical traits the main characters experience on an everyday
life. In the movie Hitch Alex Hitchens is a sentimental advisor, and he teaches clients how to date
the woman they fell in lovewith. On the other hand, Reuben Feffer finds the love of his life after
being cheated on by his previous bride. The films have differences such as the main characters
careers and their personalities. Yet, it also has similarities for example, Reuben and Alex has
food allergies. In Along Came Polly Reuben is a professional risk analyst at an insurance
company. His job consisted of analyzing and determining instability to help clients make financial
decisions. He has his whole life planned and spends his time minimizing risk in order to avoid

Law Enforcement and it s Budget Process The economic downturn of the past several years has
been devastating to local economies and, by extension, their local law enforcement agencies.
According to a report by the National Institute of Justice, the United States is currently
experiencing the 10th economic decline since World War II (Wiseman 2011). The impact of this
downturn will result in a change of how law enforcement services are delivered. As has been

The paper therefore recommends zero based budgeting to Nigeria at all levels (GJSS, 2012).
Sometimes inefficiencies result due to poor integration of the finance and strategy. Budgeting and
performance are typically overseen by the finance department, whereas planning s coordinated by
strategy department. Often, the two processes aren t well integrated, resulting in strategies that are
often dictated by the budget process instead of vice versa (Gary 2003). The reason for this could
be that everyone involved may be attempting to accomplish the same goals, but also trying to make
sure that the outcome will be beneficial to them, such as a substantial bonus or a reward. A budget
cycle refers to the whole process from the commencement of developing a budget to the execution
of the final charge on the budget. Since the majority of the budgets are prepared for a one year
period, budget cycles cover the costs and expenditures for a period of one year. However, there
are budget cycles that run for more than one year period. Government budgets have a budget cycle
of at least 18 months from the conception of the various departments budgets to the time the
appropriation bills are signed into law (Hyde, 2001). The initial steps of the budget cycle take place

I don t believe that by holding the conviction of an infinite looping universe will put as much

that monotheism, on one hand, satisfies the need for an (As Aquinas would say it); uncaused

least in the traditional sense (ie a divine entity) which also from a completely scientific standpoint
(the God hypothesis) is not a falsifiable hypothesis. Science claims that if God were to exist, there
are certain pre requisites that ought to be met to show that he exists, unfortunately, God as we

This allows your cardiovascular centres in your brain a little bit more latitude as far as controlling
your heart rate. If you were to remove a beating heart from someone s body you would find that the
heart is no longer being suppressed by the parasympathetic nervous system and it will accelerate to
the same pace as the sinoatrial node. The SA node generates action potentials approximately 100
times per minute due to the physiology of the heart, its own permeability to sodium and calcium
via its channels, and a host of other things. Anywhere between 80 to 100 beats per minute is normal
for the SA node.
7. What are two key differences between cardiac muscle and skeletal muscle?
cardiac is involuntary, skeletal is voluntary cardiac is unstriated, skeletal is striated
8. What is the difference between the effective refractory period and the relative refractory period?
The effective refractory period is the time in which the cell is incapable of responding to a second

cell is making preparations to receive stimulus between phase 3.5 4.

Who Is Leslie Knope s Parks And Recreation
Parks and Recreation is a comedy tv show which stars Amy Poler as the main character, Leslie
Knope. Leslie Knope is a lively government official who works in the Parks Department of
Pawnee. Although Parks and Recreation is a comedy tv show, Leslie Knope displays insight
into misogyny, sexism, gender equality and government sexual politics, particularly in an office
place. Before we were aware of the cliche yet degrading storyline of girls fantasizing of finding the
perfect man to marry, the media produced a majority of their films based on that specific plot.
The media portrayed the woman depending on a man to sweep her off her feet and to live happily
ever after. One major example is the story of Cinderella. The book ended happily ever after only
when Cinderella had found her prince? Finding a man solely for living a comfortable life without
any worries is in fact risky and foolish. Dependence on a man is futile because you are indeed
responsible for your own life. Leslie Knope challenges this idea by focusing all of her time

Trailer Case Summary
Trailer 1 did a decent job with loading the livestock and transporting them, but that is about as far
as the credit goes. Loading cattle at night in cool temperatures helped to keep the cattle calm
while loading, and the load density was of an appropriate level. The non slip flooring and
bedding helped the livestock move around the trailer and stay dry. The notes left do not
describe the temperature in Fargo, ND, so it is challenging to assess if the non covered slats are
an issue that could cause concern. Cattle can handle cooler temperatures better than other
animals, but covered slats would be needed if transport occurred during a cold winter month as
North Dakota experiences rather harsh winters. Failure to add covered slats to the trailer on a
long drive like this could lead to potential frostbite on the animals hide. The driver arrived just

Bolivia As A Unitary And A Democratic Government
Introduction
Bolivia is a vibrant country located in South America. Bolivia is a republic government, and it is
comprise of four branches; they are the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branch which are
similar to the United States. Juan Evo Morales is the president and his branch, executive, has

The militant philosophy originated from the rising modernity in northern Baptist and Presbyterian
congregations, a growing fear of evolution being taught in schools, and the Scopes trial results. Fear
of these movements as well as the apocalyptic scenarios concocted after World War I, and the rise of
communism meant the second coming of Christ and the tribulation were right around the corner. In
the growing world of uncertainty, the fundamentalist movement sprung up out of a necessity for the
defense of faith. Fundamentalists originated from the fear of the unknown and speculation of what
could be. Perhaps one of the greatest ties between early fundamentalism and Union University stem
from fundamentalism s roots. At the beginning Northern Baptists and Presbyterians battled with
Southern conservative Baptists. In 1919, fundamentalists gathered to discuss what to do with the
rise of modernity in congregations and the danger of evolution in schools. Another rift among
fundamentalists was also occurring in the Northern Baptist Convention, led by the liberal Baptist

description comes from Princeton s J. Gresham Machen who argued, Modernist compromises had

would be like later. Yet I felt little sadness. My mind was empty. (Wiesel 15) This passage really
caught my attention because, in the quote it shows how affected they really were. in this quote he
s saying that, as hard as he tried to have faith in his god and pursue to the future of freedom, it gets
harder and harder to have the faith when you have nothing left. I really thought this quote was
interesting because it gives perspective on how affective this event was for the Jewish, they not
only were leaving everything they had behind, but some of the faith and religion they carried with
them.
Page ten, chapter 1, I chose the passage, The race to death had begun. (Wiesel 10) as an important
style of writing. This quote is personifying how quickly death reached some of the Jews from
Sighet. I think this use of personification, which is the style figure of speech, is a big factor to the
text because, it enhances the amount of emotion it makes you feel while reading. In this passage,
the use of personification is a major element because it is making us feel the emotion of fear that
they all have.
While reading Chapter 1, I was challenged by the word penury, He was poor and lived in utter
penury. (Wiesel 1) In this sentence penury directly means poverty, after learning this

The Angst In Vada s Life
As for Vada, there is a certain amount of angst in her life caused by the environment and
experiences of her family. Her mother died within two days of her birth, and so she feels guilt
for her loss and sadness for growing up without a mother. She admires her father, Harry, but he is
emotionally distant. As a source of income, Harry owns a funeral business in their home and is
more preoccupied with the dead rather than the living, although Vada desperately yearns for his
attention. Due to the nature of Harry s business and the fact that his place of work is his home,
there is a continual flood of deceased people coming through the home in body bags, which is
hard on Vada and forces her into gaining a very precocious knowledge base of death

The Ramist Logic of Edward Taylor s Upon a Spider Catching a Fly
Like other Puritanical writers of his generation, Edward Taylor looked to nature and utilized it as
an example of a belief system that he had already deemed factual. The use Ramist logic here may
seem irrational to many. The very essence of logic commands that we must first look toward nature
and then draw conclusions from it. In his work, Upon a Spider Catching a Fly , Taylor applies his
doctrine in advance by using the interaction between an arachnid and a certain contrasting insect
as an example of the Calvinist theory of predestination; the belief that one s fate cannot be
influenced by one s works or earthly deeds. It is also part of his belief system, however, that ...

The reader is then introduced to the wasp who, by some folly, has become entangled in the
spider s treacherous web. Instead of immediately pouncing on the trapped wasp, the spider
seems instinctively aware that the Wasp has the ability to overpower him and therefore
maintains a safe distance. Lest he should fling/ His sting./ But as afraid, remote/ Didst stand
hereat. Instead, the spider is afraid that if provoked, the wasp would damage his web. Lest he
should pet,/ And in a froppish, waspish heat/ Should greatly fret Thy net. In a description of the
type of retaliation that would ensue if the wasp is provoked, Taylor opts to use the word waspish ,
creating an adjective from the very noun that he is using it to describe. Through such a choice of
grammar, Taylor is indicating that being a wasp is synonymous with being successfully defensive.
In utter juxtaposition to the pettish wasp is the silly fly, Caught by his leg . Although in a
similar situation to the wasp, the fly is destined for doom. Unlike its foil, it is ill equipped to
defend itself against the evil spider. The spider, as if innately aware of the fly s weakness,
immediately devours the fly. Thou by the throat took hastily And hind the head Bite dead. The
fly never has a chance of liberation once within the deadly grasp of the spider s web. It is as if it
has been created as defenseless by nature just as the wasp has been created with the

Arguments of Christopher Browning versus Daniel John...
Arguments of Christopher Browning versus Daniel John Goldhagen Regarding The German View
of the Holocaust
The arguments of Christopher Browning and Daniel John Goldhagen contrast greatly based on the
underlining meaning of the Holocaust to ordinary Germans. Why did ordinary citizens participate
in the process of mass murder? Christopher Browning examines the history of a battalion of the
Order Police who participated in mass shootings and deportations. He debunks the idea that these
ordinary men were simply coerced to kill but stops short of Goldhagen s simplistic thesis.
Browning uncovers the fact that Major Trapp offered at one time to excuse anyone from the task
of killing who was not up to it. Despite this offer, most of the ... Show more content on

Goldhagen argues that for centuries, nearly every German was possessed of a homicidal animus
towards Jews and thus 80 to 90 percent of Germans would have relished in the occasion to
eliminate Jews. (Goldhagen dissents from Christopher Browning s estimates that 10 20 percent of
the German police battalions refused to kill Jews as stretching the evidence ). It is one of
Goldhagen s central arguments that the police battalions were prototypical of the murderous
German mind set. Goldhagen s true distinction from Browning is to argue that German anti
Semitism was not only a significant but rather it was the sufficient condition for perpetrating the
extermination of the Jews. Goldhagen observes that if it was not for Hitler s moral authority , the
vast majority of Germans never would have contemplated the genocide against the Jews. He also
argues that by the time Hitler came to power, the model of Jews that was the basis of his anti
Semitism was shared by the vast majority of Germans. To rebuttal his claim I must ask that if anti
Semitism was true to not only the Germans but also the other European countries then why didn t a

Reimbursement Model
I think that reimbursement system is one of the most important implements to maintain managed
care organization. However, there are various models accessible to manage hospitals or health
care associations to keep track of reimburse payment methods. As of carefully reading through
the book, I believe a basic model of reimbursement includes Fee for services, capitation, and
salary. However, each of these models is states differently and approached it differently. First, I
believe a fee for services model is very easy payment method and remain as very important form of
reimbursement model in the health maintenance organization. Physician or any health care
provider receives payment right after providing services or procedure has been done. However,

Ethics – Information Systems Assignment 2
Ethics Information Systems Assignment 2 11981634
Executive Summary
In the 21st century, information systems are being heavily integrating into our everyday routiunes.
Such systems present numerous morally questionable situations for humans (Mumford 2003).
aforementioned notion is explored within the case study, allowing us to analyse potential problems
that could arise via exploration of Masons 1986 PAPA Framework which includes Privacy,
accessibility, property and accuracy.
Privacy
The power that current and future information systems afford us with to gather information about
people, their preferences, and their activities by way of surveillance, communication, storage and
retrieval is increasing (Mason, 1986). Thus, laws ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jenny has divulged confidential information that her business has tried to keep secret. Such
information included business plans and technical information that could have a significant
commercial value. It is evident that her business was trying to protect their asset as they classified
the information on their ERP system as secret and confidential information .
Jenny could run into law problems as it is a common law duty to not take unfair advantage of
confidential information if received from someone else unless the person who gave it provides
consent (Is4Profit). However, as Jenny has obtained the information in an illicit manner, she has
little to no right to disclose the private information.
Furthermore, Jenny s hacking has revealed an obvious security loophole within her company that
could be used to violate numerous privacy policies and steal personal data that could be used for
illegal or unethical purposes.
Accuracy
Even if data collection is ethical, there are still questions raised regarding the accuracy of the data.
In information systems, we depend intemperately upon the accuracy of such information as
inaccurate information can present many problems for a business (Altschuller 2004).
There is no way of determining that the data Jenny has provided to the competitor business is
accurate. If the competitor decided to use the information in their systems for financial decisions,
inaccuracies could have

  • 2. Midsummer Night Dream Venus And Adonis Analysis Iyanna Penigo Ms. Chirat Period 4 May 13, 2017 In the works of Midsummer s Night Dream, Venus and Adonis, and, Shakespeare uses themes, motifs, allusions, and imagery to suggest his audience reread and deeply analyze confusing passages several times to fully understand his masterpieces. In the play, A Midsummer s Night Dream begins with Theseus, Duke of Athens, preparing for his marriage to Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, with a four day festival. Egeus, a citizen of Athens, goes to see Theseus with a complaint against his daughter: although Egeus has promised Hermia in marriage to Demetrius, who loves her, Lysander has won Hermia s heart and refuses to obey her father and marry Demetrius. Theseus speaks to Hermia, warning her to expect to be sent to a nunnery or put to death if she doesn t obey her father s wishes. Lysander interrupts, accusing Demetrius of being fickle in love, saying he was once engaged to Hermia s friend, Helena but abandoned her after he laid eyes on Hermia. (Shakespeare, Act I Scene i) Demetrius, Egeus, Hippolyta, and Theseus take off leaving Hermia alone with Lysander. While given the time to be alone, Hermia and Lysander create a plan to be married at her house, because the manor is outside of Athens they would be free from the Athenian law. Later in the scene, Helena enters the room, lovesick and deeply depressed because Demetrius no longer loves her. From the Outset, Shakespeare subtly displays the lovers as a group out of balance, a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Single Gene Disorder When a certain gene is known to cause a disease, it is referred as a single gene disorder or a Mendelian disorder. These disorders involve mutations in the DNA sequences of single genes. As a result, the protein the gene codes for is either altered or missing (Landsverk, 2013). Few examples of single gene disorders includes cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease, Fragile X syndrome, muscular dystrophy, or Huntington disease. As a rule, single gene disorders are not very common. For example, only one in 2,500 people are born with cystic fibrosis. There are a number of inheritance patterns of single gene disorders that are predictable when you know what they are. There are three main transmission patterns: autosomal dominant, autosomal recessive, and X linked or sex linked recessive (Mahdieh, 2013).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... LSDs result from incompletely digested macromolecules due to loss of enzyme function (Filocamo, 2013). These enzymes normally break down items for reuse in the cells. If the enzymes are missing or don t work properly, then the items can build up and become toxic. This happens in an area of the cell called lysosomes. To date, 51 genetically determined lysosomal storage diseases have been described. Since there can be different mutations of the same gene, they result in different clinical manifestations and are classified as infantile and adult types. The acquired disorders are the result of inhibition of О± mannosidase II by ingestion of plant materials of Astragalus lentginous, Oxiftropis serica, Swainsona canescens, and Ipomoea carena as well as treatment with certain drugs, such as amphophilic cationic drugs, amiodarone and chloroquine, which induce phospholipidosis and MPS. The Marine Corps Leadership Traits are the qualities that every Marine should consider while engaging irregular threats, and are an integral part of leadership as a whole, because they make up the basic foundation that our institution is built upon. The three leadership traits that I feel are most important when operating against irregular threats are Judgment, Initiative, and Courage, both moral and physical. These characteristics are fundamental to not only an individual s success, but the success of the team. They are the blueprint that drives the Marine Corps and its mission. Moral courage is having the ability to stand up for a defend what is right. Moral courage in an irregular environment can be having the ability to differentiate between what is wrong, or right, such as when capturing an enemy prisoner. You must have the understanding and strength to treat the prisoner with humility, rather than letting your frustration and anger fog your ability to do what is right, and what you are bound by law to do. While moral courage can be something that is instilled from childhood, the strength to see it through in the worst of times will ultimately define your character. Physical courage is having the strength to act when the presence of danger, or physical harm presents itself. The ability to continue with the task, with the understanding that you may be injured, or killed, is one of the greatest forms of courage. There are many scenarios to describe examples of having physical courage, and it may not be able to be developed prior to actually testing yourself. However, if you go into the any scenario with an understanding of your purpose and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Business and Management in Context INTRODUCTION A number of different major schools of management thoughts have been emerged since 100 years ago. Various views of management have been arisen and affected the managerial skills both in the past and the present. The whole world had been changed dramatically during the last 100 years. As Clarke and Clegg point out that the increasing rate of change and increasing complexity in the business world is making it harder and harder for managers to find simple statements of management truth. This assignment is going to discuss the changes in the last 50 years which have been affected the three basic skills, Technical skill, Human skill and Conceptual skill, cited by Robert L. Katz in 1950s. And try to compare Katz s work ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Technical skill is still one of the important elements for effective management. Katz considered that human skill was significant for effective management. Managers should have ability to work with, understand and motivate people as individuals or groups. Workers are critical success factor to the implementation of management thoughts in achieving company s goal. Respectively, managers have to show their support to their workers and provide them incentive to work hard for the organisation. Human relation approach would enhance the workers efficiency: the Hawthorne experiments have pointed out the relationship between the human factors and productivity, such as by giving workers a break and hot snack could increase the productivity. Furthermore, some new management ideas were generated in this experiment, such as, leadership, communications, output restrictions, motivation and job design (Morden, 1996). These skills are adopted by vast majority of modern management. Conceptual skill was also recommended by Katz. Managers are required to have mental ability to coordinate and integrate all things related to organisation and to perceive things broadly. Specialization is good enough to classify tasks into specific area; however, different management functions shall not be put together. Therefore, manager should integrate all the elements of the organisation s situation in order to maximize the productivity and profitability. This skill is very similar ... • 7. The Washington Redskinss Should Not Have To Change The... While some people believe that the Redskins should not have to change their name, many people believe the term redskin is offensive and can negatively affect the Native American people. Not only should the Washington Redskins have to change their name, so should other teams who has offensive name like the Cleveland Indians, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Atlanta Braves Tomahawk Chop. Since 1992, when the first legal action against popped up, Native Americans activists have battled to change these football team names. They say that the term redskin is a derogatory term and that it is just as bad as the N word. They also believe that it has a negative effect on how they are perceived and their identity in today s society. So not only should the Washington Redskins change their football team name, but other teams should as well, because it can be very offensive and hurtful towards the Native Americans. The offensive names of sports teams like the Washington Redskins can negatively affect the identity of the Native American people. Susan Shown Harjo, President of the Morning Star institute, questioned, How would you feel if you had your home taken away from you and then watched as your identity was stolen for profit? It s adding insult to injury. (Wulf, 2014). In 2005, the NCAA banned most Native American mascots and said that they were no longer protected under the trademark protection law. • 9. Investment And Conflict Of Romantic Relationships Investment and Conflict in Romantic Relationships Com 620 Mark Pace and Bo Zhang Investment Model The theory of relationship investment is an effort to understand maintenance of ongoing relationships. This model is an expansion of Kelly and Thirbaut s (1978) interdependence theory, which specifies that satisfaction is a function of the reward value of a relationship, relative to expectations, and that commitment stems from the superiority of a relationship, compared with viable alternatives. Interdependence assumes that we evaluate the rewards and costs of our own and our partner s various behaviors in a relationship, and that both partner s actions and preferences impact the nature of the relationship. Rusbult (1980) expanded interdependence theory to include that commitment was determined by satisfaction, quality of alternatives, and investments with subcategories of intrinsic, and extrinsic. Intrinsic includes example ideas like emotion and time while extrinsic includes ideas like mutual friends and shared activities. Rustbult s expansion included the value of resources gained through involvement in a relationship and also resources devoted to developing the association. This model views the ending of a relationship as a loss of resources. Further research such as longitudinal studies on the topic of investment have only strengthened the theory (Bui, Peplau, Hill 1996). The investment model predicts that commitment should increase as the relationship ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Some Keep The Sabbath Going To Church Getting to Heaven Some keep the Sabbath going to Church 236 In the poem Some keep the Sabbath going to Church, the theme is that there is more than one way to get to Heaven(1, 1668). The persona suggests that this is true because they still have a relationship with God; they just worship differently than what is accepted by society. In the line that reads, And an Orchard, for a dome, Dickinson uses imagery to paint a picture for the reader(4, 1668). The image is an orchard of trees that provides her with a safe place for worship instead of the traditional church sanctuary. She is suggesting that nature, the things unspoiled by humankind, is whatone really needs for worship and gaining a relationship with God. This is inferring that she gets her spiritual food directly from God; there is no need for a middle man. This is another way that a middle man is used in religious practices. The Bible reads no one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6). Dickinson is going by the words of the Bible instead of the words of mankind. The final two lines of the poem read So instead of getting to Heaven, at last I m going, all along (11, 1668). The connotation of these words relay to the reader that along with all the church goers she, the one who exercises her own, individual beliefs and practices, will be right there with them going to Heaven. It was also found that better outcomes occurred for patients that were younger with a lower baseline depression (Carpenter et. al, 2012). Studies have found improvement in cognitive functioning along with symptoms of depression. The improvement of depression symptoms was linked with an improvement in visuospatial memory, verbal memory, long term memory recall, working memory, information processing speed, and orientation (Serafini et. al, 2015). It is predicted that the improvement in cognitive functioning occurs due to the relief of symptoms, but it is also postulated that the improvement of cognitive function improves depressive symptoms (Serafini et. al, 2015; Kedzior et. al, 2015). However, more research needs to be done to determine the temporal precedence and to better understand the cognitive improvement. Research is still being done to determine the best techniques to have the maximum impact when using TMS to treat depression. • 16. Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address Throughout the semester, the readers have been clashing with each other over which label best fits the author, but they have ignored the minute particulars. These readers are looking at the forest as a broad generalization, and they are missing out on what the forest really is... a bunch of trees. All of these trees are diverse but similar: they are American authors, and the forest is American literature. One might think that this is a flimsy analogy, but it is the most apt and succinct way of explaining this issue. To truly understand any text, one must couch it within historical context; to be valid, an interpretation has to make sense within the historical context, and it has to agree with the minute particulars of the text. If either of these criterion are not met, then the interpretation will not be representative of the text whatsoever. It is imperative that one pay heed to the minute particulars and the text s historical context: otherwise, the text will be vastly misinterpreted and misrepresented in any discussion of the text. The students grossly mischaracterized Abraham Lincolns Gettysburg Address as a pro abolitionist tract; they also seemed to think that President Lincoln was some divine martyr for anti slavery sentiment, and that he was an exemplary person with regards to American identity. They could not be further from the truth. Historical context is paramount to understanding Lincoln s Gettysburg Address . The text starts off with an appeal to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As he realizes he is approaching the very end of his life, Ivan Ilych ponders over his life and begins to question himself, asking What if my whole life has been wrong? (Tolstoy 54). He comes to the conclusion that the things that are important are not tangible items such as money or property. Rather, he decides that the things that truly matter in life are intangible, such as happiness, compassion, and facing the truth. The catalyst was reused several times without further treatment to obtain FAME from WCSO. To evaluate catalyst stability, the optimum amount of CaO that was obtained by examining the operating condition was stirred with 38ml methanol at the optimum conditions obtained. After the catalyst was separated, methanol was mixed with 30 ml WCSO and the reaction was carried out under the optimum conditions, 65В°C, methanol: oil ratio 30:1, 3 hr. and 300 rpm. 3.Results and discussion 3.1 Catalyst characterization The synthesized CaO catalyst was subjected to different temperatures and times of calcination. The calcination time and temperature change the catalyst structure; consequently, this affects catalyst activity and the concentration of FAMEs produced. To be candid after reading the article I feel that Oaxaca is underrated and outshine by other exotic places in Mexico. Oaxaca is full iconic ruins build by the Zapotecas. Who in my view have a great amount of similarities between the Mayan group as far as intellectual and creativity. According to History.com, The Zapoteca were skilled in astronomy and excavation, and leveled the top of a local a local mountain around 450 B.C and created the ceremonial center now called Monte Alban. One of the most densely populated cities in Mesoamerica, Monte Alban is estimated to have had 18,000 Zapotecan residents at its peak (History.com Staff). Regardless, the two concepts discussed in class which impacted the most while analyzing the film are violence and cultural imperialism. Certainly, violence stood out like an oasis in a barren desert when Wolverines hand is covered in blood and shaking at the beginning. Cultural imperialism is a key concept when Dr. Xander and Pierce are together getting out of the helicopter. Which means they are human and are working together to destroy all mutants. You have to have a certain throwing motion to be able to make them break/move. You also need to be able to throw the ball at the right speed and the speed with your arm motion has to be a certain speed as well. There are three breaking balls that can make or break a pitcher in the MLB. The first pitch that I will talk about is the knuckleball. Knuckleballs are one of the hardest pitches to consistently control because it seems to just float in the air and can t be easily placed. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The most important finger to be able to throw the curveball is the middle finger. The pitcher will find a seam that will give resistance to the middle finger to get more control and spin on the ball. This is how the spin on the curveball is so tight. According to Steven Ellis, The throwing elbow must be equal to or slightly above the throwing shoulder. You must stay over the top when you throw the curveball. Throwing it when it s under your shoulder then you put additional stress on your arm. Also if the arm is at an angle larger than 90 degrees then it also puts additional stress on your arm. The placement of your arm will be alot closer to your head then you re normal fastball. It will be slightly up and away from your ear. When you release the curveball you want to release it out in front of you. The way you release the ball is the type of action you want the pitch to have. When releasing a curveball, your wrist will be hooked and your hand will pull down in front of your body, says Steven Ellis. The further you release the ball from your head, the less grip you will have on the ball, resulting in a looser spin on your pitch. It is extremely important that you maintain similar arm speed with your curveball that you have with your fastball. A hitter reads arm speed. says Steven ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 41. Union University Fundamentalism Union University could easily be misconstrued as having a fundamentalist identity. Culturally, Union shares traits with fundamentalist institutions, such as strict curfew rules, ban on the use of alcoholic beverages both off and on campus, as well as limits on public displays of affection. Union also has a policy against dancing at campus sponsored events in Section V under community values in the campus life handbook. According to the same handbook, Union Universityestablishes rules and barriers to encourage and strengthen its community of believers so that they may become leaders of the Christian community within the university and beyond. Essentially, Union s rules and guidelines are what construct the Union Bubble. However, the bubble... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The militant philosophy originated from the rising modernity in northern Baptist and Presbyterian congregations, a growing fear of evolution being taught in schools, and the Scopes trial results. Fear of these movements as well as the apocalyptic scenarios concocted after World War I, and the rise of communism meant the second coming of Christ and the tribulation were right around the corner. In the growing world of uncertainty, the fundamentalist movement sprung up out of a necessity for the defense of faith. Fundamentalists originated from the fear of the unknown and speculation of what could be. Perhaps one of the greatest ties between early fundamentalism and Union University stem from fundamentalism s roots. At the beginning Northern Baptists and Presbyterians battled with Southern conservative Baptists. In 1919, fundamentalists gathered to discuss what to do with the rise of modernity in congregations and the danger of evolution in schools. Another rift among fundamentalists was also occurring in the Northern Baptist Convention, led by the liberal Baptist Harry Fosdick, who in opposition to the rise of fundamentalism in Southern congregations, wrote Shall the Fundamentalists Win? Perhaps the struggle between fundamentalists and modernists best description comes from Princeton s J. Gresham Machen who argued, Modernist compromises had so changed the basic Christian faith that it was no longer recognizable as the same religion held by orthodox believers through the previous nineteen centuries. So much of the fundamentalist movement originates from fear, and the possibility that the identity of the Christian faith may become lost in a slippery slope due to the rise of modernist ... • 42. Wieel Wiesel Reflection In chapter one, page fifteen, I was intrigued by the quote, I looked at my house in which I had spent years seeking my God, fasting to hasten the coming of the Messiah, imagining what my life would be like later. Yet I felt little sadness. My mind was empty. (Wiesel 15) This passage really caught my attention because, in the quote it shows how affected they really were. in this quote he s saying that, as hard as he tried to have faith in his god and pursue to the future of freedom, it gets harder and harder to have the faith when you have nothing left. I really thought this quote was interesting because it gives perspective on how affective this event was for the Jewish, they not only were leaving everything they had behind, but some of the faith and religion they carried with them. Page ten, chapter 1, I chose the passage, The race to death had begun. (Wiesel 10) as an important style of writing. This quote is personifying how quickly death reached some of the Jews from Sighet. I think this use of personification, which is the style figure of speech, is a big factor to the text because, it enhances the amount of emotion it makes you feel while reading. In this passage, the use of personification is a major element because it is making us feel the emotion of fear that they all have. While reading Chapter 1, I was challenged by the word penury, He was poor and lived in utter penury. (Wiesel 1) In this sentence penury directly means poverty, after learning this ... • 43. The Angst In Vada s Life As for Vada, there is a certain amount of angst in her life caused by the environment and experiences of her family. Her mother died within two days of her birth, and so she feels guilt for her loss and sadness for growing up without a mother. She admires her father, Harry, but he is emotionally distant. As a source of income, Harry owns a funeral business in their home and is more preoccupied with the dead rather than the living, although Vada desperately yearns for his attention. Due to the nature of Harry s business and the fact that his place of work is his home, there is a continual flood of deceased people coming through the home in body bags, which is hard on Vada and forces her into gaining a very precocious knowledge base of death ... • 44. The Ramist Logic of Edward Taylor s Upon a Spider... The Ramist Logic of Edward Taylor s Upon a Spider Catching a Fly Like other Puritanical writers of his generation, Edward Taylor looked to nature and utilized it as an example of a belief system that he had already deemed factual. The use Ramist logic here may seem irrational to many. The very essence of logic commands that we must first look toward nature and then draw conclusions from it. In his work, Upon a Spider Catching a Fly , Taylor applies his doctrine in advance by using the interaction between an arachnid and a certain contrasting insect as an example of the Calvinist theory of predestination; the belief that one s fate cannot be influenced by one s works or earthly deeds. It is also part of his belief system, however, that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The reader is then introduced to the wasp who, by some folly, has become entangled in the spider s treacherous web. Instead of immediately pouncing on the trapped wasp, the spider seems instinctively aware that the Wasp has the ability to overpower him and therefore maintains a safe distance. Lest he should fling/ His sting./ But as afraid, remote/ Didst stand hereat. Instead, the spider is afraid that if provoked, the wasp would damage his web. Lest he should pet,/ And in a froppish, waspish heat/ Should greatly fret Thy net. In a description of the type of retaliation that would ensue if the wasp is provoked, Taylor opts to use the word waspish , creating an adjective from the very noun that he is using it to describe. Through such a choice of grammar, Taylor is indicating that being a wasp is synonymous with being successfully defensive. In utter juxtaposition to the pettish wasp is the silly fly, Caught by his leg . Although in a similar situation to the wasp, the fly is destined for doom. Unlike its foil, it is ill equipped to defend itself against the evil spider. The spider, as if innately aware of the fly s weakness, immediately devours the fly. Thou by the throat took hastily And hind the head Bite dead. The fly never has a chance of liberation once within the deadly grasp of the spider s web. It is as if it has been created as defenseless by nature just as the wasp has been created with the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Arguments of Christopher Browning versus Daniel John... Arguments of Christopher Browning versus Daniel John Goldhagen Regarding The German View of the Holocaust The arguments of Christopher Browning and Daniel John Goldhagen contrast greatly based on the underlining meaning of the Holocaust to ordinary Germans. Why did ordinary citizens participate in the process of mass murder? Christopher Browning examines the history of a battalion of the Order Police who participated in mass shootings and deportations. He debunks the idea that these ordinary men were simply coerced to kill but stops short of Goldhagen s simplistic thesis. Browning uncovers the fact that Major Trapp offered at one time to excuse anyone from the task of killing who was not up to it. Despite this offer, most of the ... Goldhagen argues that for centuries, nearly every German was possessed of a homicidal animus towards Jews and thus 80 to 90 percent of Germans would have relished in the occasion to eliminate Jews. (Goldhagen dissents from Christopher Browning s estimates that 10 20 percent of the German police battalions refused to kill Jews as stretching the evidence ). It is one of Goldhagen s central arguments that the police battalions were prototypical of the murderous German mind set. Goldhagen s true distinction from Browning is to argue that German anti Semitism was not only a significant but rather it was the sufficient condition for perpetrating the extermination of the Jews. Goldhagen observes that if it was not for Hitler s moral authority , the vast majority of Germans never would have contemplated the genocide against the Jews. He also argues that by the time Hitler came to power, the model of Jews that was the basis of his anti Semitism was shared by the vast majority of Germans. To rebuttal his claim I must ask that if anti Semitism was true to not only the Germans but also the other European countries then why didn t a massive scale ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, there are various models accessible to manage hospitals or health care associations to keep track of reimburse payment methods. As of carefully reading through the book, I believe a basic model of reimbursement includes Fee for services, capitation, and salary. However, each of these models is states differently and approached it differently. First, I believe a fee for services model is very easy payment method and remain as very important form of reimbursement model in the health maintenance organization. Physician or any health care provider receives payment right after providing services or procedure has been done. However, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Ethics – Information Systems Assignment 2 Ethics Information Systems Assignment 2 11981634 Executive Summary In the 21st century, information systems are being heavily integrating into our everyday routiunes. Accuracy Even if data collection is ethical, there are still questions raised regarding the accuracy of the data. In information systems, we depend intemperately upon the accuracy of such information as inaccurate information can present many problems for a business (Altschuller 2004).
