Persuasive Essay On Juveniles
Elizabeth Alexander had nearly fallen asleep one ___ night in 2016 when she was jostled awake by a firecracker of a
noise. She noticed an unusually bright orange light, which she at first thought it was a street light beaming through a
starless Selma sky. She soon realized it was instead her car, engulfed in radiant flames. One of the only items she
owned was being taken from her, and she could do nothing about it. She sat in awe and disbelief, a moment of euphoria
that would set her life on an unexpected journey. Until that point, Alexander had lived her life as a rebel, a badge she
wore proudly after years of internal turmoil. She spent time in foster care as a child, since her diabetic mother was in
and out of the hospital and could not always care for her three children. While there, Alexander was sexually abused by
older girls in the system. In school, she was bullied. All of these environmental elements led to creating Alexander s
tough girl persona as a child. I was a fighter. I would fight you, it didn t matter who you were, because I got picked on
so much that it became my defense, Alexander said. Alexander, now 24, has been arrested once for every year of her
life. The majority of the arrests occurred when she was a juvenile, and most were for disorderly conduct. A locked up
life is not a hopeful one. But for the first time, as Alexander watched her livelihood disappear into the midnight air, she
saw opportunity in disparity. She no longer had a car in which she

Essay on Race, Racism and My Community
Racial issues are an important part of any city in America today. America is a racially diverse country but still seems to
have many problems as far as racial equality, race relations, and encouraging diversity. My community is in, what I
think, is a fairly unique situation in terms of race. According to the census and other sources I found on the internet, the
population of
Cedar Hill, Texas is approximately 32,093. The city is growing and very much like the other upscale surburbs in
Dallas. Cedar Hill offers satisying opportunities for both indoor and outdoor activities and a very family orientate city,

There is an Asian family that live on the coner and I just love the way the grandmother walks every morning and plant
flowers in her yard, keep it water and cared for. I have a white family that lives directly across the street from me, that s

upside down because of our president. I could not understand that because
I feel that we should love our country no matter what. I still speak and he still gives my family a cake every Christmas.
And I send fruit and a card. But the real problem with him is that he is very predioucs and don t like any other race,
other than white. This is what his 34 year son says . But despite his feelings about other races he still shows that he care
at Christmas time. In my community, I feel that it is a rainbow of people. I have contact with everyone, if it s just a
wave as I pass by, but not much communication. I don t consider myself a minority. I would say I interact with a white
and Hispanic person maybe 6 days a week. There are of course differences in appearance even when people are of the
same race. It s really hard to say how different people in my community are from one another because they are all
generally the same in terms of appearance. We have many people of White descent or Polish descent who are just as
different as someone who is of Japanese descent. Because of the color of their

Rock Near Morehead Kentucky Is A Stunning View Of The...
Lockegee Rock near Morehead Kentucky holds a stunning view of the Daniel Boone National Forest! ¥ An absolute
fantastic view. Captured from the top of the Daniel Boone National Forest, located in northeastern Kentucky near the
city of Morehead, this featured image originates in one of the most beautiful and well kept secrets on earth. Although
this location is breathtaking, efforts to capture images from the summit will certainly involve a bit hiking and climbing,
but it s definitely worth the journey. Whether it s photography or purely for the love of a great hike, I can t see anyone

Conditions on the trail are certainly favorable to anyone sporting quality shoes; however, I do recommend a decent pair
of hiking shoes. Although a short walk from the parking area, approximately half a mile, along with a small rock bed
crossing, there are no steams or arduous leaps to take in your trek to the base of Lockegee Rock. Once at the base, one
can expect a short vertical ascent to the summit. Climbing gear, certainly a helmet, may prove beneficial, however,
plenty of rocky edges and tree roots make the climb fairly effortless for anyone in average to good health. While the
trip to the base is not difficult, attempting an ascent to the summit for anyone with limited mobility and strength may
not be wise, certainly not without special training and equipment. In any case, the prepared photographer leaves
nothing to chance. Remember, if hiking to the top of the rock to capture the vista of the year, don t forget that you will
be lugging your camera gear as well. ¥ Off the beaten path and always open. Well, always open translates to always
available to photographs any time of year. Higher altitudes have their perks as well, making the expedition to Lockegee
Rock accessible regardless of what the weather may bring; however, a heavy snow may inhibit your travels and prevent
a safe transit to the top of the ridge. Bottom line, if you re up to the challenge, the rock is open for business no matter

Attending A Narcotics Anonymous ( Na )
Group Purpose The group that I attended was a Narcotics Anonymous (NA). The meeting was held at the VA, every
Monday at 6pm. The meeting was free and open to the public. The meeting lasted for 1 hour. There was a time limit. As
we approached the end of the hour the leader announced it and said that if there were any last thoughts before the
meeting ended. This gave me the impression that they stick to their time limit. The meeting had a structure; they
followed their agenda strictly. In the beginning of the meeting everyone went around and introduced them selves and
said why there were there. I said that I was a student and was there to observe. After the introductions there was several
readings that were handed out and asked to be read aloud, some of the reading were Why are we Here , Who is an
Addict? , and We do Recover . After the readings they handed out key chains to anyone that has reached a specific time
of sobriety. The leader of the group got his 9 mouths key chain. Then there were a few more readings, after the reading
the floor was open to anyone who wanted to say anything. Then the meeting was over.
Membership
The Monday that I chose to attend had a low membership for that day. There was only the leader and 1 other member
that day. The Leader was a Caucasian male about 40 years of age. The member was a Caucasian male about 60 years of
age. The group was open, but to fully participate in the group the member would be a recovering from addiction,

Bonnethead Shark Structure
The bonnethead shark is a magnificent creature. It can reach speeds of 35 mph when trying to catch its prey. The
bonnethead shark is a carnivore. It will consume some of the fish that swim by when it s hungry. The sharks habitat is
in a wide range, and the structure and anatomy is unique. The bonnethead shark eats about its own weight in a day. The
bonnethead shark feeds on crab, shrimp, mollusks, and small fish. This shark eats meat, but also eats bivalves and
cephalopods. The bonnethead feeds mostly in the daytime. They swim slowly toward their prey. Then quickly attack
the prey and crush it with their teeth. In the summertime if you go to the reefs and seaweed you might see a bonnethead
shark.
The bonnethead shark is abundant in the nearshore Florida water by reefs. It s commonly seen over shallow sand and
mud flats. They move into deeper water during the colder months. Depths about 32 to 262 ft, and in the warmer months

Difference Between Gardner And Robert Sternberg
heory of Intelligence
Many psychologist believe there are multiple types of intelligence that determine your mental ability and have been an
important topic for many years. Many of these psychologist have argued with each other on the multiple theories that
the psychologist have developed, however there has been no clear agreement of what actually makes up your IQ or
how it can be measured. The most famous psychologist that have developed theories of intelligence are Howard
Gardner and Robert Sternberg, out of these two theories I agree with Robert Sternberg intelligence theory the most.
Howard Gardner has came up with seven clear intelligences Visual Spatial, Bodily kinesthetic, Musical, Interpersonal,
Intrapersonal, Linguistic, and Logical Mathematical that outline individual s strengths and are designed based on
different tasks, problem solving, and progress in various types of domains. According to Gardner s theory we are all
able to know the world through language, logical mathematical analysis, spatial representation, musical thinking, the
use of the body to solve problems or to make things, an understanding of other individuals, and an understanding of
ourselves (Lane , C. (n.d.). Multiple Intelligences). Visual Spatial in Gardner s theory is when a person is taught how to
remember things through drawings and verbal and physical imagery. Bodily kinesthetic is used when a person uses
communication through there body language, like role playing, hands on learning,

Islamic Teachings And Principles Of Isis
Humom Asamarai

Final Draft 3
Poindexter
Inevitable Blowback Many claim that ISIS has been created as a result of Islamic teachings and principles. This is
false. Islam has existed for over 1,400 years. If the above claim had an ounce of truth to it, ISIS would have emerged
long ago. Constant instability in the Middle East and the struggle for political power in the region are some, but not all
of the reasons for ISIS existence. State sponsored Islamophobia and fear mongering of Muslims in America are largely
contributing causes to the creation of barbaric groups such as ISIS. As a result of the tragic events that took place on
9/11, Islamophobia was born. It has been over a decade and Islamophobia is not only still existent, but it s
unfortunately growing in the heart of the average American more and more each day. For this we can thank our lovely
media. Muslims are being targeted at every corner. In this country, you are taught by society to fear Islam. You are led
to think that it is a violent cult that preaches hate and teaches violence. The sad part is, whether Islam does any of this
is still a question that is being debated. Only just recently, CNN attacked Reza Aslan during a live interview for not
condemning the religion of Islam and its teachings. When he replied and defended Islam with supporting facts, they
attacked him for being hostile. In this country, you are taught that Muslims hate your great American freedom, even
though Muslim and American

SQL Server Proposal for GRW Inc Essay
When CCCL Inc was a small company, keeping records and customer data by the use of spreadsheets, access
databases, and manual records were realistic practices, but as the company has grown, it has outgrown such practices.
Management at GRW is now searching for a centralized database solution that will allow multi department database
collaboration as well as the ability to mine data as needed, companywide. The proposed solution to the needs of the
company is the installation of Microsoft SQL Server 2012. The following report addresses the type of SQL Server to
implement, security for the new database, high availability, plans for backup recovery, integration services, and other
related details to ensure a smooth transition into the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The processor must have a speed of 1.0 GHz for a 32 bit CPU and 1.4 GHz for a 64 bit CPU, although a 2.0 GHz or
faster CPU is recommended. The server must have at least 1 GB of RAM, and 6 GB of hard drive space, although
according to Microsoft, Disk space requirements will vary with the SQL Server 2012 components you install (n.d.).
The operating system that SQL Server 2012 is installed on must be Windows Server 2008 SP2 (Datacenter, Enterprise,
Standard, or Web Edition), or later. It is recommended that GRW Inc obtain and implement the Enterprise Edition of
SQL Server 2012. The Enterprise Edition will undoubtedly contain features that the company will not use, by choice or
by lack of necessity, but those features will be available as the company grows and its needs change. Of particular
interest in the Enterprise Edition is the advanced security and advanced high availability features which are not
components of the lesser editions. According to Microsoft, these features add transparent data encryption, SQL Server
auditing, multiple active secondaries, and multi site geo clustering (n.d.).
Two new physical servers will be needed for the new database, as well as a virtual machine (VM) installation on one of
the existing servers that is underutilized. One of the new servers will host the primary database, and the other new
server will host the disaster recovery replica. The VM database will host a high availability replica of the database, and

Cuprizone Lab Study
Differential effects of antipsychotics on the development of rat oligodendrocyte precursor cells exposed to cuprizone
Abstract
Cuprizone (CPZ) is a copper chelating agent and has been shown to induce white matter damage in mice and rats. The
compromised white matter and oligodendrocytes (OLs) respond to some antipsychotics in vivo. However, little is
known about the effects of antipsychotics on cultured OLs in the presence of CPZ. The aim of this study was to
examine effects of some antipsychotics on developing OLs in the presence of CPZ. Oligodendrocyte progenitor cells
(OPCs) were prepared from rat embryos; OLs at different developing stages were labeled with specific antibodies;
levels of CNP and MBP proteins in mature OLs were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The CPZ fed mice showed poor motor coordination in a rota rod analysis [14] and a murine motor test [22]. In the 3rd
and 4th weeks after consuming CPZ containing diet, mice exhibited an increase in CNS activity. Moreover, mice
displayed prepulse inhibition deficits during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of CPZ exposure period and showed less social
interaction after CPZ exposure for 4 6 weeks [25, 44]. The CPZ fed mice also showed spatial working memory
impairment [25, 39, 44]. CPZ induced demyelination and behavioral changes were also seen in rats [16, 18, 34]. These
previous studies reminded us of an emerging hypothesis that oligodendroglial dysfunction and even death, with
subsequent abnormalities in myelin maintenance and repair, contribute to the schizophrenic syndrome [10].
In efforts to test the OL deficit hypothesis of schizophrenia, we examined the effects of some existing antipsychotic
drugs on the CPZ induced white matter damage and behavioral changes in C57BL/6 mice. We found that the CPZ
induced demyelination and myelin breakdown as well as the concurrent neuropathological changes in the mice were
ameliorated by the antipsychotic quetiapine [QUE; 41, 50]. But, the other antipsychotics (clozapine, CLZ and
haloperidol, HAL) showed different effects on the CPZ induced changes [42]. Also, these antipsychotic drugs
differentially affected the recovery of CPZ induced changes after removal of

Linear Macromolecules
Deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA, like proteins, is a linear macromolecule found in all living cells. In contrast to
proteins, however, it is build up of only 4 different types of building blocks, called nucleotides. Nucleotides are
composed of a base, being either a purine or pyrimidine group, and a 2 deoxyribosyl tri phosphate. The four types of
bases composing the sequence of DNA are purines and pyramidines. The sugar is a 2 deoxy ribose which is
phosphorylated at its 5 hydroxyl group. Free nucleotides contain either one, two or three phosphates representing the
mono , di , or triphosphate form of the nucleotide, the latter being known as dATP, dGTP, dTTP, and dCTP. Single

Sleep Well Motel
Case Study #1
The Sleep Well Motel
In April 1990, Will Shelton was evaluating information received from the owner of a motel that was for sale in Fort
Morgan, Colorado. Will had answered an ad in the Wall Street Journal under the heading Business for Sale. To Will s
surprise, he received a call directly from Hank Bennington, the owner of the Sleep Well Motel of Fort Morgan,
Colorado.
During the conversation, Mr. Bennington described his motel and his reason for wanting to sell. He also described the
many advantages of living in Colorado and promised to send Will more information on his company. The next day an
overnight package of information arrived at Will s home.

In addition, Mr. Bennington said he wanted to be perfectly candid. He said that after the car accident he failed to keep
as close a watch on the business as he should have. Mr. Bennington admitted that he felt ill at ease in the field of
marketing and felt the company would need strong direction in that area. He went on to say that Will should be a
natural to manage this type of business.
After skimming the material, Will became increasingly enthused about the possibility of owning and managing this
motel. He knew there were many additional questions he would need to ask in his next phone conversation. At the
moment, the most exciting part was the possibility of living in Colorado and being his own boss. Will knew he would
have to develop a list of penetrating questions to ask Mr. Bennington and also knew he needed to study the financial
sheets in detail. That could come later. For the moment, Will was picturing himself on the slopes of Colorado s
beautiful mountains gracefully skimming down the snow.
Questions:
1. Discuss the pros and cons of Will Shelton owning and operating the Sleep Well Motel.
2. Do you believe that Will s marketing/marketing research background will be of great assistance to him in running
this motel? Why or why not?
3. Why do you suppose Mr. Bennington said that Will s marketing background would be a real

On the Pulse of Morning, by Maya Angelou Essay
Hillary R. Clinton once said that There cannot be true democracy unless Women s voices are heard (conference in
Vienna, Austria 1997). That very brilliant quote relates to a very strong woman by the name of Maya Angelou. Angelou
is America s most visible black female autobiographer and speakers (scholar Joanne M. Braxton). She is known for her
speeches, poems, and books, but what stood out to me the most was her 1993 inauguration speech when Bill Clinton
was sworn into the White House. Ironically, in her poem On the Pulse of Morning Maya Angelou uses clear rhetoric,

is easy to hear, and she uses effective pauses to emphasize ideas. Although Angelou speeches and poetry are enjoyable
they are geared toward an older audience, because a younger audience cannot relate some of her speech textual. The
use of clear rhetoric in her speeches makes her a truly amazing famous speaker. Moreover, the use of prehistoric

speakers use metaphors because they are a figure of speech in which a word or phrase that ordinarily designates one
thing is used to designate another, thus making an implicit comparison, as in a sea of troubles or All the world s a stage

Mark Menis-Kyleer Analysis
During World War II, the allied forces planned an invasion against the German army at the beaches of Normandy,
France. With this assault still hours away, the 82nd and 101st Airborne Division Paratroopers were already executing
night drops behind enemy lines. An article published at www.warhistoryonline.com states, the paratroopers were to
disrupt the German defense lines and use the element of surprise while the main force landed the beaches (Budanovic).
Foggy weather made drop zone accuracy difficult for the 82nd, but they adapted and did their best to complete their

A Summary Of The Scarlett Letter And The Scarlet Letter
As humans, we all develop a sense of knowing the difference between acceptable and unacceptable. Consequently, that
could be a simple task, but society has illustrated the difference between right and wrong is a blurred line. In society,
some may claim that unplanned pregnancy is a dreadful situation. Others may declare that unplanned pregnancy in the
same scenario, is a gift and it s one s decision. In the novel The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne and the film
Easy A, written by Bert Royal and directed by Will Gluck, in both stories incorporate the reflection of what defines a
woman s identity by how both characters are too sexually free. Hester Prynne, the main character in The Scarlet Letter,
found herself in a challenging situation after having her daughter named Pearl from the crime of adultery. When Pearl
was born, Hester is forced to deal with judgmental townspeople in front of her daughter, including teaching her
daughter how to respond to them. Conversely Olive in the film Easy A idolizes Hester in The Scarlet Letter. Olive tells
lies about her fake actions to draw attention to herself. So she decides to completely change her clothing style to a more
adult lingerie look. She also a felt cut out of the A just like Hester on her clothing to symbolize adultery.
In the pieces of literature, the women are written to be the scapegoats of their respective communities due to their
choices in engaging in sexual interactions. In the novel The Scarlet Letter, Hester

A Study on Egalitarianism
Egalitarianism It would be reasonable to state that Australia is one of the most egalitarian countries. While several
countries rejoice the model of human impartiality, debatably none has it so ethnically engrained as Australia. The
ideological prejudice towards impartiality is most evidently seen in the verbal communication that Australians employ
to converse with each other. In contrast to other English speakers, Australians have a propensity to be far more casual;
willingly using the similar language when addressing a boss, an old person, companion or an enemy (Lawory 1994).
Australia has falsified egalitarian emotions mainly for the reason that, in its origin period, the authorities were fanatical
in depriving criminal class and their off springs of it (LeMoine 2003). The Criminal class system made sure that
individuals in higher ranks were seldom delegate of the material and religious objectives of the criminal class that
comprised the majority of the population (Labrador et al 2006). A census taken in 1829 indicated that more than fifty
percent of the population of NSW was Criminal class, and that ex Criminal class made up approximately the remaining
of the free population. However in spite of being in statistical supremacy, the Criminal class was incapable of aspiring
to civic ranks that were set aside for the Exclusives . The Exclusives disputed in opposition to the Criminal class

The following statistics illustrate Ms. Lincoln s point. According to the Statistical Abstract of the United States: 1996,
in 1983, 512,000 individuals were employed as cleaners and servants. Of that total, 95.8% were female. Black females
comprised 42.4% of the total of all females working in those occupations (407). In the category of maids and
housemen, in 1983, 531,000 individuals provided these services. Females made up 83.1% of the total. Black females

Toni Cade Bambara was very aware of the black environment and of black female experiences. In the foreword to the
book Black Women Writers at Work, Tillie Olsen states that black women writers, such as Toni Cade Bambara, make
us profoundly conscious of what harms, degrades, denies development, destroys; of how much is unrealized, unlived;
instead of oppressed victims, they tell of the ways of resistances, resiliences (x xi).
Bambara was born in New York City, raised by her mother, and educated at Queens College. She was a teacher,

Lil Wayne Impact On Society
For any kid that was born in the 1990 s, it s rare that you will find a person that doesn t mention Lil Wayne in the
greatest of all time conversation. While many older fans seem to have a negative reaction to that claim, it s hard to deny
the impact that Wayne has had in hip hop. Wayne in his career has created the term bling , made mixtapes a popular
trend, and one of the few rappers to sell a million copies in a week without the benefit of streaming. Though Wayne is
one of the most influential rappers in history, his career as of late has struggled to rival those of his peers in the greatest
category. Let me explain. A lot of the biggest rappers in the game eventually fall off, in hip hop it s inevitable. With the

Why People Win Public Support
In their own way, all four themes may help us win public support for the group advocacy project. If an individual can
approach the public with meaningful, powerful, and confident information then their chances are strong that they may
have the potential to win public support. The theme that stands out to me the most in regards to winning public support
is rights. Rights stands out to me for multiple reasons. The theme for the advocacy project I am participating is is
Aboriginal Rights. A tremendous struggle for indigenous people is rights. As described in the text, they are victims of
discrimination and advocate for their rights (Abramovitz, 2004). It is imperative that these individuals are advocated

Essay On Japanese American Internment
Unjustified Internment Internment, putting a person in prison or other kind of detention, generally in wartime. The
Japanese American internment during World War II stemmed from the bombing of the Pearl Harbor on December 7,
1941. After the bombing on the West Coast, America had lost their trust of the Japanese and Japanese Americans.
However, many Japanese lived on the West Coast because they had primarily come for the Gold Rush. Thus, all
Japanese Americans were sent to internment camps out of fear of espionage and such. Was the internment of the
Japanese Americans during World War II reasonable? The Japanese American internment was unjustified because it
was unnecessary, unreasonable, and it was racist. The Japanese American internment did not have a logical reason for
its doing. There is no Japanese problem on the coast, (Munson, 3). Munson states there is no problem on the West
Coast with the Japanese. As a rebuttal , Lt. Gen. DeWitt states in a government report that it is better to have had this
protection and not to have needed it than to have needed it and not to have had it, (DeWitt, 1). DeWitt proposes the
argument that America did it out of fear of another attack by the Japanese. However, ... Show more content on

Theme Of The God Of Small Things
The Post colonial experiences have made the relationships of families much more difficult due to the fragmentation
throughout the country. Children and adults lost their home and the struggles and troublesome difficulties they had in
their homeland. The development of the colonizer s land, made them to become confused with where their loyalties
should lie. In Arundhati Roy s novel The God of Small Things , the Kochamma family is a family of tragic people. It is
their own cultural traditions that lead them to the tragedy. However, the theme within the novel is of the people
oppressed by the colonisation of India especially by England, and how a society is consumed with prejudices based on
class or caste and color that begin to turn on itself, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hybridity occurs as a result of movements of cultural suppression, as when the colonial power invades to over rule
political and economic control, or when settler disposed people and forced them to assimilate to new social patterns.
The impression that Sophie left for herself is loved from the beginning. The entire family s behavior is peculiar
especially in Baby Kochamma s. In the novel there are different levels of meaning other than the peripheral one. It
means that people are forced into a unique pattern of thinking and practice which is enabled by the public school
education established by the colonial rulers. Roy herself is a representative of such a phenomenon. The post colonial
mind is a fragmented post war ground; a war that s won and lost. As said by Post colonial writer Edward Said who
argued that the West had always dominated the East for more than 2,000 years. Europe had dominated Asia politically
and so completely that even the Western texts were based on the Eastern subjects and even most Western scholars
could not recognize that it is a fact that the characters in the novel have adopted the Western ways to suit their needs

The Americans With Disabilities Act
Since it was signed into law in 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) has been a challenge for employers to
implement. This law prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in both public and public businesses.
There were numerous lawsuits where disabled employees have charged that employers have failed to accommodate his
or her needs in the workplace. However, Supreme Court decisions interpreted the act in a way that made it difficult to
prove that an impairment was a disability thereby ruling in favor of an employer. As a result, the ADAAmendments
Act of 2008 (ADAA) was enacted to clarify the definition of disability (United States, Department of Justice, Civil
Rights Division, 2014, para. 1). Companies from every industry struggle to ensure that it meets the requirements to
ensure that no disparity between individuals with a disability and those without a disability. In Accommodations of
Patients with Disabilities in Primary Care: A Mixed Methods Study of Practice Administrators, the author addresses the
disparities in how health care facilities treat individuals with disabilities compared to individuals with no disability
(Pharr, 2013). This paper will summarize the findings of this study and the impact of the Americans with Disabilities
Act and the ADAAmendments Act of 2008 on health care. In her study, Pharr surveyed a group of primary care

Black Meat In Naked Lunch
Fats becomes completely normalized and ends up serving and morphing into the system, here the system manifests
itself as Black Meat (103). According to Naked Lunch, Black Meat is like a tainted cheese, overpoweringly delicious
and nauseating so that the eaters eat and vomit and eat again until they fall exhausted (31). It has an addictive force that
could be claimed to symbolize the need to fit in the normal society. The act of eating until one is vomiting shows how
exhausting and painful it is to try and satisfy one s need to fit in where parts of you has to be suppressed. This character
becomes so absorb by the idea of servitude that he himself morphs into a controlling mechanisms: he becomes the idea

Beta Rebellion Essay
4chan.org is a community filled with every type of individual one could imagine, all hidden behind computer screens
under anonymity. A person can say or do almost anything in one post, and then be a completely different person in the
next. Obviously this would attract many deviant minded individuals who could express themselves without regret.
Although 4chan is widely diverse, the majority of the social movements are aided by the random subcategory of the

lower end of the economic spectrum. There are millions of people involved in this community, yet only some are brave
enough to physically involve themselves in the social movement known as the Beta Rebellion, or the Beta Uprising.
The entire intent of the Beta Rebellion is to rebel against the social norms associated with attractiveness, wealth,

I Know About Breeding A Dog Essay
In 2015 for christmas I had recieved a female Australian Shepherd puppy. She is a blue merle with brown eyes. When I
first got her I loved her and couldn t wait for her to be old and have puppies of her own. What I didn t understand is
how difficult of a process it was to get a dog bred. I didn t know the first thing about breeding a dog. However if I
wanted my dog to have puppies then I needed to learn about it.
I know that a dog comes in heat roughly every six months. I know it is during that time period the they would get bred.
Some things I have heard from my family was that a bitch has to be bred at certain times. They will only stand and
allow breeding a certain numbers of days. I have no knowledge of when that takes place. I know that a bitch s cycle can
last for weeks. The only way I would know when my dog needs bred is to put her in with a male and see if she allows
him to breed her.
When you don t have a male dog that is hard to do. Picking a male for her is a hard task. When breeding Australian
Shepherd you have to be cautious about which types are bred. I know that you should not breed a merle to a merle
because it cause defects. I am not for sure why this happens so picking a dog needs to be done carefully.
Section II
When researching my question the first thing that needs to be looked up is a partner. I first looked up the proper partner
for a blue merle. Australian Shepherds can only be breed between certain type. If the wrong ones are bred it can

This was causing problems as the sales reps would try and push more products during the promotional period to get a
bonus and were not able to sell as much during non promotional periods. This led to wide variation in demand and
made forecasting very difficult.
Large number of SKU s: Barilla s dry products (the focus of the JITD proposal) were offered in 800 different packaged
stock keeping units (SKUs). Most of the popular products were offered in as many as 8 different packaging options.
These large numbers led to greater complexity.
Gaming Behavior: The distributors were used to having full control of their orders to Barilla and indulged in gaming by
ordering different quantities in different periods. This led to variation in demand.
Bad forecasting by Distributors: The distributors did not have forecasting systems or sophisticated analytical tools for
determining order quantities and this resulted in bad forecasts.
Absence of Maximum or Minimum order quantities: Barilla does not require its distributors to order any minimum
quantities every time it places an order. This causes the distributors to order fewer quantities more often and increases
variability and Barilla s production costs. Also, there are no maximum order quantities during promotional periods,
thereby allowing distributors to order large quantities at low prices and thus

Henry David Thoreau And Transcendentalism
Henry David Thoreau was a leading transcendentalist. He was most known for his essays, with the major themes
focusing on nature and government. His works weren t highly appreciated during his lifetime, but as years went on they
became very influential. He was one of the first environmentalists, and he laid the groundwork for a lot of progressive
movements. Henry David Thoreau was born on July 12, 1817 in Concord, Massachusetts. In 1833 he started studying
at Harvard college, till 1837. He studied rhetoric, the classics, philosophy, mathematics, and science. Thoreau didn t
like the idea of traditional professions, so in 1835 he took a break from Harvard to teach. When he went back to
Harvard, he refused to pay the five dollar fee for his diploma. After he graduated, he started teaching at a public school
in Canton, Massachusetts. He quit a few weeks after starting because he refused to use capital punishment on his
students. In 1838, he and his brother, John, opened a grammar school. This school was extremely progressive for its

An Anti-Semitic Piece Of Propaganda From The Nazi Regime
As said by Joseph Goebbels, Because this, my dear Harlan, is a perfect opportunity to show, that all Jewish characters
and temperaments are originally from the same source. He s referring to Werner Krauss, whom had the idea to play all
the background Jewish characters in the movie, Jud Süß. This 1940 film is an extremely anti Semitic piece of
propaganda from the Nazi Regime. How exactly did this particular piece of propaganda come to be and how did it help
further and contribute to the goals of Nazi Germany? Propaganda s job is to give its audience certain ideas and to train
them to think in a certain way. It can be used as a way to dehumanize or show how horrible the subject of their hatred
is, and during war this is often the case. With

Foreign Exchange Rates And Hedging Options
Foreign Exchange Rates and Hedging Options
There are three hedging options that are commonly used. Hedge is to reduce losses due to volatility of foreign
exchange rates. Hedging instruments use options and futures which are derivative instruments.
One type of hedging is using a forward contract. This method is to lock in a FX position that would provide stability
and not succumb to the fluctuations of FX rates. By locking in an FX rate, it gives the company the right to the
currency exchange rate specified for a future time. This means that if FX is to adverse or benefit of FX will be
minimized for the future.
Another technique to minimize FX risk is to purchase options. The purchaser of an option sets an exchange rate at a
future date that the purchaser may exchange at. If the FX is beneficial, the purchaser may execute reaping the gains,
however if the FX is unfavorable, the purchaser will not exercise.
A third instrument is to hedge using currency exchange traded fund (ETF). Purchasing currency ETFs on the stock
market allows the purchaser to either buy or short sell the stock to mitigate FX risk. As the ETF is correlated to the
fluctuations of FX, if rates are favorable the stock price will appreciate, whereas rates are unfavorable the stock price
will depreciate.
To improve internal controls in reconciliation, GWL should provide proper foreign exchange training to existing staff.
This will ensure the accounting staff team understands where to book, and are up to

  • 2. Persuasive Essay On Juveniles Elizabeth Alexander had nearly fallen asleep one ___ night in 2016 when she was jostled awake by a firecracker of a noise. She noticed an unusually bright orange light, which she at first thought it was a street light beaming through a starless Selma sky. She soon realized it was instead her car, engulfed in radiant flames. One of the only items she owned was being taken from her, and she could do nothing about it. She sat in awe and disbelief, a moment of euphoria that would set her life on an unexpected journey. Until that point, Alexander had lived her life as a rebel, a badge she wore proudly after years of internal turmoil. She spent time in foster care as a child, since her diabetic mother was in and out of the hospital and could not always care for her three children. While there, Alexander was sexually abused by older girls in the system. In school, she was bullied. All of these environmental elements led to creating Alexander s tough girl persona as a child. I was a fighter. I would fight you, it didn t matter who you were, because I got picked on so much that it became my defense, Alexander said. Alexander, now 24, has been arrested once for every year of her life. The majority of the arrests occurred when she was a juvenile, and most were for disorderly conduct. A locked up life is not a hopeful one. But for the first time, as Alexander watched her livelihood disappear into the midnight air, she saw opportunity in disparity. She no longer had a car in which she ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. Difference Between Gardner And Robert Sternberg heory of Intelligence Many psychologist believe there are multiple types of intelligence that determine your mental ability and have been an important topic for many years. Many of these psychologist have argued with each other on the multiple theories that the psychologist have developed, however there has been no clear agreement of what actually makes up your IQ or how it can be measured. The most famous psychologist that have developed theories of intelligence are Howard Gardner and Robert Sternberg, out of these two theories I agree with Robert Sternberg intelligence theory the most. Howard Gardner has came up with seven clear intelligences Visual Spatial, Bodily kinesthetic, Musical, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Linguistic, and Logical Mathematical that outline individual s strengths and are designed based on different tasks, problem solving, and progress in various types of domains. According to Gardner s theory we are all able to know the world through language, logical mathematical analysis, spatial representation, musical thinking, the use of the body to solve problems or to make things, an understanding of other individuals, and an understanding of ourselves (Lane , C. (n.d.). Multiple Intelligences). Visual Spatial in Gardner s theory is when a person is taught how to remember things through drawings and verbal and physical imagery. Cuprizone Lab Study Differential effects of antipsychotics on the development of rat oligodendrocyte precursor cells exposed to cuprizone Abstract Cuprizone (CPZ) is a copper chelating agent and has been shown to induce white matter damage in mice and rats. The aim of this study was to examine effects of some antipsychotics on developing OLs in the presence of CPZ. The CPZ fed mice also showed spatial working memory impairment [25, 39, 44]. CPZ induced demyelination and behavioral changes were also seen in rats [16, 18, 34]. • 19. A Study on Egalitarianism Egalitarianism It would be reasonable to state that Australia is one of the most egalitarian countries. While several countries rejoice the model of human impartiality, debatably none has it so ethnically engrained as Australia. The ideological prejudice towards impartiality is most evidently seen in the verbal communication that Australians employ to converse with each other. In contrast to other English speakers, Australians have a propensity to be far more casual; willingly using the similar language when addressing a boss, an old person, companion or an enemy (Lawory 1994). Australia has falsified egalitarian emotions mainly for the reason that, in its origin period, the authorities were fanatical in depriving criminal class and their off springs of it (LeMoine 2003). The Criminal class system made sure that individuals in higher ranks were seldom delegate of the material and religious objectives of the criminal class that comprised the majority of the population (Labrador et al 2006). • 24. Essay On Japanese American Internment Unjustified Internment Internment, putting a person in prison or other kind of detention, generally in wartime. The Japanese American internment during World War II stemmed from the bombing of the Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. After the bombing on the West Coast, America had lost their trust of the Japanese and Japanese Americans. However, many Japanese lived on the West Coast because they had primarily come for the Gold Rush. Thus, all Japanese Americans were sent to internment camps out of fear of espionage and such. Was the internment of the Japanese Americans during World War II reasonable? The Japanese American internment was unjustified because it was unnecessary, unreasonable, and it was racist. The Japanese American internment did not have a logical reason for its doing. There is no Japanese problem on the coast, (Munson, 3). Munson states there is no problem on the West Coast with the Japanese. As a rebuttal , Lt. Gen. DeWitt states in a government report that it is better to have had this protection and not to have needed it than to have needed it and not to have had it, (DeWitt, 1). • 43. Foreign Exchange Rates And Hedging Options Foreign Exchange Rates and Hedging Options There are three hedging options that are commonly used. Hedge is to reduce losses due to volatility of foreign exchange rates. Hedging instruments use options and futures which are derivative instruments. One type of hedging is using a forward contract. This method is to lock in a FX position that would provide stability and not succumb to the fluctuations of FX rates. By locking in an FX rate, it gives the company the right to the currency exchange rate specified for a future time. This means that if FX is to adverse or benefit of FX will be minimized for the future. Another technique to minimize FX risk is to purchase options. The purchaser of an option sets an exchange rate at a future date that the purchaser may exchange at. If the FX is beneficial, the purchaser may execute reaping the gains, however if the FX is unfavorable, the purchaser will not exercise. A third instrument is to hedge using currency exchange traded fund (ETF). Purchasing currency ETFs on the stock market allows the purchaser to either buy or short sell the stock to mitigate FX risk. As the ETF is correlated to the fluctuations of FX, if rates are favorable the stock price will appreciate, whereas rates are unfavorable the stock price will depreciate.
