Trip To Disney World Essay
I remember planning for this day for about two years. When I would finally get the chance to be with
my best friends and take a road trip to California to go to Disney Land, and now that the time to take
that trip has come and gone I would like to talk about my most important journey. Once I woke up I
called Alavee to make sure he was awake. I m glad he was because he saved me some time by calling
Priya and Rigo to make sure they were getting ready to go. About an hour and a half later we all met
up in the school parking lot at about the same time. The exception was Priya who had to take extra
time to bring the camper which we hardly used in the end, but it was still better than trying to cram
into one car to sleep. Anthony brought his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We asked in advance if we could camp in their driveway. Her and my Uncle Pinakin were more than
happy to have us. We really didn t do much there. Priya mostly stayed in the camper because of course
he had to bring his laptop with her. The rest of us went into my aunt s downstairs room and played
playstation 3 and went on her computer. The next day we wanted to head out early so we could make
it to Colorado and have time to see some sites and visit my aunt and uncle. After we said thanks for
letting us stay with my Aunt Alks and Uncle Pinakin s house, we were on our way. I wasn t really
looking forward to the drive ahead because I remember how long it was the first time I had to make
the trip, and it gets uncomfortable. The only thing I like when we go to Colorado is that we lose an
hour. This was probably the most boring trip on our journey because most of the land we traveled was
in Nebraska and it was flat and plain. There was nothing really significant about this trip until we got
to Colorado. Flat land changed into mountains and country turned into city. That part of it was really
interesting because it was like we could see the invisible line separating Colorado and Nebraska. It
took us a little while to find my aunt in Golden, Colorado because the directions were a little hard to
follow. I guess no one wanted to see anything because almost as soon as we were

Candy Diet By Seth Godin
In the article Candy Diet , Seth Godin discusses how intellectual information has become unpopular in
our modern day society. Today, people value simple and fast information more than in depth, thought
provoking material. Godin makes it clear that people need to stop this anti intellectualism from
snowballing and totally dominating our media by purchasing information of substance, avoiding
videos that are intellectually numbing, and conversing in an intellectual manner. Godin successfully
persuades the reader to choose intellectually stimulating information by his use of facts, quotes,
examples, structure, encouraging tones, and even the title.
The first few paragraphs of Godin s article begins with an important fact that ultimately ... Show more

Now these networks run shows about marrying people based on how well they kiss . These are great
examples on how tv channels that are now seen as trash tv at one point used to be educational and

didn t want to hear. We ve responded by not buying newspapers anymore . He s pointing out to the
audience that the newspapers know what they re doing reporting information the reader needs to know
and even award winning for doing their job well but as society declines intellectually so does the
popularity of informative newspapers.
In addition to the examples he also uses the structure of his article to appeal to the reader. Throughout
the article he bashes simplicity and only looking at the key points instead the whole idea. Yet he is
writing in such a way, very spaced out with only two sentences per paragraph. Talking with other
readers of this article they actually complained and thought that this was very poor writing on Godin s
part and he was kind of being a hypocrite. In actuality Seth Godin knew exactly what he was doing. If
he wants to change the minds of a simple and find the easy route society then he has to appeal to them.

The Descent Grade a
The film the descent uses a range of shots, sound, editing and symbolisation to create an ominous
atmosphere; in effect this makes the horror aspect in the film really stand out as it leaves the viewer
deciding what happens in specific parts of the film, which all ties in with the films ending.
This all makes the film very subjective and leaves much of the opening scenes open to interpretation
which is very enticing for a horror movie.
The films opening sequence contains many things which symbolise the events in the movie and starts
to define what genre the movie is, because the music is fairly ambient and deep suggesting danger
which implies it s a horror or a thriller movie. When the opening credits appear light effects illuminate

Also in the final scene Sarah leaves Juno for dead to get revenge on what she did to Beth which also
shows how what they are wearing indicates the loyalty aspect of their relationship. This subtle
costume difference is very clever because even at the very start of the film characters are already
being divided and given a specific role in the film to play.
Throughout the whole boating scene there are many different shots, edits, sounds and effects which
make the whole scene upbeat and adventurous. A shot type which does this is the aerial (bird s eye)
view which in effect presents the tight squeezes in the waterfalls and the sheer size of the waterfall
that they in. Also the edits in this scene are very fast keeping everything upbeat and to show how
Sarah, Beth and Juno would be seeing things. These edits are also giving a very clear representation of
white water rafting as a sport on a whole and that it is generally a very courageous, brave, adventurous
thing to do. Through out the scene we see several shots of the little girl as if its Sarah s point of view
and she is looking at her keeping most of her attention on her showing that Sarah and her have a very
strong emotional bond and yet again that the film is going to be a very female orientated film. There is

Treatment Of Women In Trifles
In the play, Trifles, women are not treated as well as the men. The play is about a woman who killed
her husband because he killed her bird. An exploration of the play reveals a fundamental difference
between the women s actions and the men s, a difference grounded in varying understandings of the
home space. (Holstein) The place is then looked over by the officers to find out if she really did kill
her husband, but the officers find nothing because the wives of the officers hide the dead bird from
them. They did not have all the same rights as the men back in the day. Susan Glaspell depicts the
marriage between men and women as men being upper class and telling the women what to do, and
the women as almost slaves, forced to do what their husbands tell them to do. The women in the play,
Trifles, were treated like second class citizens. They are many examples of this like when the officers
tell the wives to stay behind, the officers do not investigate the women because they do not think they
could be involved or know anything, and the women were described by how their husbands were. ...

The officers do not want the women to be involved in the investigation and they do not want them to
get in the way, even though the women played a bigger role than the men. If the officers would have
let the women help in the case, then all the evidence that the women found could have been used. The
officers were looking at the main scene and all the bigger stuff, but they needed to look at the smaller
things to find the evidence they needed to convict Mrs. Wright. The officers do not let the women use
their full potential. The potential that is being crushed in Trifles is definitely that of women, a theme
which becomes even more prominent in her 1917 short story version of the play, entitled A Jury of Her
Peers. (Grose) The author uses more than one play to distinguish how badly women are

Example Of A Political Cartoon
c. In this political cartoon, there is an American citizen depicted in both 2008 and 2016 expressing his
views of that year s president elect. In 2008, the citizen says, Anyone can become president, and
Barack Obama is pictured by his side. The citizen is grinning, looking at President Obama with wide
eyes and excitement. Alongside that depiction, the citizen is again shown in 2016. He is saying again,
Anyone can become president, however this time Donald Trump is standing by his side. This time the
citizen is sad and looks disappointed.
d. The cartoonist of this political cartoon is demonstrating the views of many American people after
Donald Trump was elected president compared to their views when Barack Obama was elected. In
2008, most were excited that we would have the first African American president. It showed, like the

Evoloution of Polar Bears (Lamarck vs Darwin) Essay
The Polar Bear (Ursus maritimus) is a bear native largely within the Arctic Circle encircling the Arctic
Ocean, its surrounding seas and land masses. Although it is closely related to the Brown Bear, it has
evolved to occupy a narrower ecological forte, with many body characteristics adapted for cold
temperatures, for moving across snow, ice, and open water, and for hunting the seals which make up
most of its diet. Though there are many theories surrounding evolution, the two stand outstanding
hypotheses applying to the modification from Brown Bear to Polar Bear are Lamarck s theory of Use
and Disuse, and Darwin s theory of Natural Selection. The intention of this paper is to compare these

In 1977 a drought reduced the number of small seeds available for the birds, forcing them to rely on
larger seeds and nuts, which were difficult for birds with smaller beaks to open. The number of birds
unable to eat reduced as they died and gave way to harder beaked finches. Within a couple of
generations they had evolved larger beaks. In 2003 another drought struck the Galapagos and as there
were many large beaked finches, the food source of nuts dwindled, making the ability to eat smaller
seeds an asset. The numbers of larger beaked birds dwindled as food became scarce, leaving the
smaller birds to survive and reproduce. Darwin s theory was not well received when first written in On
the Origin of Species, though many scientists today use it as a basis for research in evolution.
Both theories suggest that a species changes over time to be able to better adapt to an environment.
Though Lamarck thought that the entire population of that species would evolve as one, i.e. all
offspring changes together with same adaptation. Darwin concluded that only the specimen with the
mutation or an altered version of a feature to evolve a species as they would be able to adapt and
survive easier than those without it, thus causing the unevolved to die off while the evolved lived.
Over many many generations the species keeps evolving until it has perfected the new trait, also
becoming a new

The Reactions to the Death of Addie Bundren through William Faulkner s
As I Lay Dying. The author of As I Lay Dying, William Faulkner, really contributes to the aspects of
literature through his ability to tell a seemingly incredible story through only the stream of
consciousness technique. Faulkner takes his insight beyond the piece, through other s views and
thoughts. Although the characters might be acting differently upon each subject or handling each
action in opposite ways, the tone and theme that he uses really brings the whole piece to a perfect
balance. In As I Lay Dying, Faulkner displays contradicting elements through the reactions of the
family members towards the mother s death with the use of dialogue, tone, imagery, and internal
conflict. When speculating about the only female character, in regards to the mother, it is evident that
a predictable aspect will be found in Dewey Dell for she carries the female qualities in the story. This
statement in As I Lay Dying, Ma, Dewey Dell says; ma! (Faulkner 48) was the first reaction made by
any of the characters towards the death of the mother, and it came from Dewey Dell. Reasons for this
could be the sexist factor that she is a girl, so her reaction will be more emotionally projected than that
of the male characters. However, the aspect of Dewey Dell not being able to let go of her mother can
also play a role in her reaction. This idea is expressed through ...the fan is still moving like it has for

Project Management Methodologies For The Development Essay
CHAPTER TWO
LITERATURE REVIEW
INTRODUCTION
The first chapter introduced the research problem that raised the question of whether adaption project
management methodologies can be tailored down to Nigerian SMEs. This chapter presents the
academic literature pertinent to the research, and places it in context of the research. The aim of this
chapter is to provide the background information of the research topic and to show the gaps in the
research literature, so as to identify the areas this research will focus on. The main function of this
chapter is to establish a solid foundation of the existing literature (historical, conceptual and
empirical), and to investigate in line with the research objectives.
HISTORY OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The need to realize big and complex projects dates backs to the early years of civilization and is at the
source of necessity to think Projects. Project Management (PM) is now a separate discipline that is
adopted by various fields. The usage of the PM continues to grow rapidly by as much as 20 percent
per year. The project management institute, for instance, the professional association of the project
management increased its world wide membership to over 70,000. The need for the efficient and
effective management is widely recognized (O Sheedy, 2012). Therefore, the field of project

Affects of Neglect and Emotional Development Towards School Readiness
The consequences of childhood neglect and physical abuse can never be over emphasized. It affects
approximately 30 children in 1,000 per capita in Washington State alone and is likely underestimated
as not all neglect cases are reported or investigated.
(http://www.doh.wa.gov/Portals/1/Documents/2900/DOH530090ChldAb.pdf) It seems the signs for
abuse in certain areas are more apparent and easily identifiable than others. Abuse is clearly
recognized when it is physical abuse or neglect when someone s needs are not being met, but the
lasting damage to a child s emotional development from neglect has huge implications on their school
readiness. Our laws (RCW 26 44 020 ) defines abuse and neglect as injury, sexual abuse, sexual
exploitation, negligent treatment or maltreatment of a child by any person under circumstances which
indicate that the child s health, welfare, and safety is harmed .
The Concept of School Readiness
School readiness is can be interpreted in two perspectives and three paradigms. The two
characteristics are achieving experiences and transition. The dimensions include families and
communities readiness for school, child s readiness for school and schools readiness for children. The
willingness of Children can be looked

I Am A True Believer That Commonwealth Is The Best Option...
I am a true believer that Commonwealth is the most perfect option for my homeland, Puerto Rico.
There has been an ongoing debate on the political status of Puerto Rico for years on whether it should
be a state or become independent, but I think it should be put to an end now because I am going to
prove to you the reason why it is best for our island to be a commonwealth. No matter what anyone
says I know that for my own island, we wouldn t survive as a state or as an independent nation,
therefore commonwealth is the best option for us. Since July 1952, Puerto Rico has been a

I think this is the most important aspect of being a commonwealth because I don t have to sacrifice my
religion, culture, or language which is something very important to us, Puerto Ricans. Due to the
Jones Act of 1917, we were granted a U.S citizenship, allowing us to travel back and forth between the
U.S and Puerto Rico (Perez y Gonzalez 2011: 1843). This is very important to me and my family,
otherwise my family living in the United States would not be able to come and see us all the time and
vice versa! Therefore, I would never want to lose this benefit that the U.S has given us. The New
Progressive Party consists of those who want Puerto Rico to become a state. This is such a bad option
for an island like Puerto Rico because if we were to become a part of the United States, English would
have to be our primary language and why would I want to sacrifice my language just to become a
state? English is taught in Puerto Rican schools, but it is a foreign language to them. Less than 20% of
Puerto Ricans can speak English fluently, which would make integration into United States culture
very difficult. Not only does it affect language, but it also affects our Puerto Rican culture. I have no
doubt that becoming a state would cause a culture loss because of the assimilation that will happen.
One example of cultural integration would probably be that the Spanish language would

Revival and Rebirth in Europe: The Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo
Introduction
The three stylistic periods, following the original classical era, the Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo
saw many changes in art. This was influenced by many factors, such as scientific development,
revolution in the case of the Rococo as well as one of the key factors that the church was no longer
such a key patron of the arts.
These factors would have had a profound influence on have art developed during these three periods

Although there was certainly an application of realism involved, certainly in easel art. For example,

The realist approach continued to flourish in much later eras until the 1700s, even though art didn t
benefit from such scientific developments. Previous knowledge was essential right up until the 1700s

Conclusion
The relationship between art and science become fundamental in the renaissance era. This relationship
became mutually beneficial, not only did science help create techniques such as linear perspective or
knowledge of the human anatomy, but science benefited with knowledge. This is due to artists being
heavily involved in such research to perfect art, hence the term scientific realism.
Art has been a motivation, driven by the desire to make art increasingly more realistic. There are three

Critically Discuss the Cognitive Theories of Selective Attention
Attention is considered to be a core cognitive process, it refers to how people actively process specific
information in the environment. Attention refers to how people select from information and stimuli in
the environment, facilitating processing of some of the stimuli and inhibiting processing of others.
Everyone knows what attention is, it is the taking possession by the mind in clear and vivid form, of
one out of what seem several simultaneously possible objects or trains of thought...It implies
withdrawal from some things in order to deal effectively with others, and is a condition which has a
real opposite in the confused, dazed, scatterbrained state. This definition of attention was proposed by
psychologist William James (1890). This review will focus on literature that gives explanation to
selective attention. Selective attention refers to the process where a person is able to select out of
many stimuli and focus on the one they want and ignore other stimuli.
The cocktail party effect was investigated in early studies of selective attention. It was first described
by Cherry (1953). It s the observation that even in a noisy environment people are able to focus their
attention on who is talking to them. Cherry (1953) investigated this phenomenon by conducting a
series of dichotic listening and

the talents of their writing. Much of their writing became increasingly influential years after it was
written. Their literature allows today s modern readers to reflect on the humanity and the treatment of
women, understand history s past, and use it as an example to continue spreading the vision of the
equality of women today. Tan was known for her willingness to stand up for herself against her
mother, in pursuits to find her own dreams versus those of what her mother had laid out for her
(Showalter, Ch. Amy Tan ). Howe was a poet, and founder of the nation s Battle Hymn of the
Republic , she was known for her activism of women s rights, abolition, and world peace (Showalter,
Ch. Julia Ward Howe ). Lastly, Murray was known as the first woman of American letters, speaking
for women s rights after the American Revolutionary War (Showalter, Ch. Judith Sargent Murray ).
Tan, Howe, and Murray have proved to be influential not only in America s historic past, but
inspiration leading to today and the future as well. These women are excellent examples to learn from
in taking ownership of their women s rights and the equalities we shall have, in our still unequal
world. Amy Tan was born in Oakland, California. Both of her parents were Chinese immigrants ( Amy

Beethoven Summary
EARLY SONATAS (1795 1802)
Beethoven s early sonatas were highly influenced by Haydn and Mozart, he dedicated his first three
sonatas to Haydn, his teacher. Before Beethoven moved to Vienna, he composed three piano sonatas,
WoO 47, Kurfürsten (composed and published 1782 1783). Few years later, the composer moved to
Vienna and established his ability in composition. Four movement sonata is uncommon in Beethoven
s time, but young Beethoven started to experiencing the freedom of multiple movements. Op. 2: three
piano sonatas was composed in 1795 and were dedicated to Joseph Haydn. All these three sonatas
have 4 movements. Piano Sonata No. 1 in F minor, No. 2 in A major and No. 3 in C major. The last
one often believes to be his first virtuosic piano sonata.
Op. 7, Piano sonata No. 4 in E flat major, Grand Sonata is dedicated to Beethoven s student Babette,
the Countess Keglevics and published in 1797.
Op. 10 is another set of three sonatas, Piano Sonata No. 5 in C Minor (3 movements, 1796), is
dedicated to Anna Margarete von Browne, the wife of a Russian diplomat. Piano Sonata No. 6 in F
Major (3 movements), is also dedicated to von Browne. Piano Sonata No. 7 in D Major: The third
sonata is dedicated to von Browne, this piece was written in 1798 and is the longest of the three. In the
year he composed this set, 1798, Beethoven started to lose his hearing. He started to realized that he

How Far Do You Agree With The Agricultural Revolution
#10 With the Agricultural Revolution occurring in many different regions throughout the world, many
key changes were brought to Neolithic people. As a result, significant physical, technological, and
social transitions happened as humans moved from the Paleolithic to the Neolithic era.
Even though the Agricultural Revolution brought efficient ways of obtaining food, farming was still a
hard work, and as a result, it took a toll on people s health. Tooth decay and anemia were common,
since there was a smaller variety of foods to be obtained, and that food might not have given the
people all the nutrition they required. Such deficiencies in their diet meant that the people did not
develop as well as they could have, so they were general small in stature. Also, their lifespans were
shorter, partly because of the many new diseases, such as smallpox, flu, and malaria. Many of these
new diseases were gotten from animals, because those people living in an ... Show more content on

In Afro Eurasian history, many conflicts between nomadic people and settled people existed, as the
people of the pastoral societies, who mostly depended on domesticated animals rather than farming
crops, became attracted to farming societies. The farming societies fertile soil, many manufactured
products, and wide variety of growing crops made the people of pastoral societies become aware of
what the farming societies technology and the government were like. However, not every encounter
between the farmers and the herders ended up in a conflict. These two groups also exchanged ideas,
technologies, and goods, which helped the societies to become more technologically or culturally
developed. This shows that the Neolithic society was more sophisticated than the Paleolithic societies,
which mostly were about hunting and gathering as a way of

Molar Mass Of Volatile Liquid Lab Report
Molar Mass of a Volatile Liquid
2.Objective We receive a unknown volatile liquid and try to find it s molar mass.In order to do this we
must know how to convert units of measurements and the formula required.
3.Introduction In order to do this experiment you must know certain terms and formulas. Molar mass
is defined as one mole of this substance. The molar mass is what we are trying to find. One equation
use d to find molar mass is MW=m/n. Another thing needed to know is the Ideal Gas Law. The
equation used for this is PV=nRT.
4.List of materials/equipment and Safety Precautions

Safety Precautions One thing to make sure you do is clear you re table of book bags, food, clothing, etc.
I say this because we are working with chemicals and a hot plate which can be dangerous if theses
items are next to them. Also when we are heating the volatile liquid which is in the florence flask we
have to make sure that the flask isn t touching the beaker in which we are heating it in. This prevents

When we had to heat the volatile liquid we ended up heating it for to long. We couldn t really see the
volatile liquid when it was in the hot water bath. There was to much bubbling and we couldn t see if
the liquid turned to a gas. Our molar mass ended up being 16.28 g/mol which was to low and thats
because the unknown liquid lost all it s mass because of overeating.
8.Conlcusion The main goal for this experiment was to find the molar mass of a unknown volatile
liquid. We ended up getting the wrong answer because of a source of error. It is important that you
understand the formulas used in this experiment. Both MW=m/n and PV=nRT are needed for this
experiment. Our Unknown volatile liquid had a molar mass of 60g/mol and it is called Loopropy

Examples Of Identity Crisis In The Invisible Man
Introduction
As the word suggests, Identity Crisis is a situation of confusion in which a person s sense of identity
becomes insecure due to change in his or her expected dreams or role in the society. The lack of self
judgement and self actualisation often leads to one s identity crisis because of his or her failures or
incapability to handle success or breaking social norms results into being unacceptable in the society.
Our roles in the society and how well we are able to achieve them or adapt to them makes us
acceptable in the society as well as recognizable in the society and disrupting such social norms leads
to isolation from the society or the people living in that society, thus negatively affecting one s
psychological or mental ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Just as Griffin becomes over confident and adamant on successfully completing his scientific
experiments, people in contemporary society become over confident and feel extreme proud over their
capabilities and similarly as Griffin, are incapable of managing such qualities and success at the very
same time.
This mishandling of one s qualities and directing them towards negativity in search of power or
extreme stage of power, people often lose what they actually have in today s world as well as depicted
by Wells in his play. Griffin, not only projects the disturbance at mental or psychological level because
of competition towards success, but also depicts what led towards the path of such disturbance and
what actually happened as a consequence after it.
This case is not only with Griffin but also with people of contemporary society, who negate societal
values to earn wealth and power at extreme levels and are thus, considered socially rejected or
unacceptable because of breaking certain acceptable social norms. This disruption of such norms
causes the isolation of such people, often depleting their identity as an individual in the society as well
as causing identity crisis to an individual. The competition which causes mental stress towards the
path of success, not only forms the basis of negative consequences but defines

REVIEW OF THE PROFILE OF CREATIVE ABILITIES
There are differences between Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family

DEVELOPMENT. Growth and development of the PCA was led by Guilford s (1959) structure of

TECHNICAL. The PCA was normed on the sample of 640 children across 11 states. The sample was
stratified by three age times (5 to eight 11 9 to 11 11 12 to 14 11).
The exam manual states the standardization sample carefully approximates the U.S. population. The
sample does seem to carefully match the U.S. Census when it comes to geographic region, race and
Hispanic ethnicity, and parent education level. However, the standardization sample doesn t carefully
match the U.S. Census when it comes to gender (e.g., 46% from the standardization sample are male
whereas 51% from the U.S. school age human population are male), and family earnings (30% from
the sample possess a family earnings of $75,000 and also over whereas 19% of U.S. families come
with an earnings within this upper range).
Evidence meant for construct validity was supplied by study of group differentiation across different
cohorts. The creativity class weren t given the PCA pre intervention, so it s impossible to understand if
the test was calculating alterations in creative abilities or reflecting latent group variations in addition
to the intervention. Further, it s unclear from the theoretical perspective, and never

Disease Essay Examples
Thought Paper: Pathogens Are Rare Virulence Varies Greatly Less than 1% of bacteria can invade our
bodies and making us ill [5]. Such bacteria are pathogenic and have the potential to be disease
causing. This means that the remaining 99% are rather ubiquitous in nature and serve beneficial
purposes or have no effect on humans. Pathogens vary in complexity and those that remain are a direct
result of successfully adapting to their environments and evolving over time to overcome selective
evolutionary pressures. A more specific example of how disease causing pathogens can vary in
virulence involves the mention of antibiotics and their ability throughout history to temporary

Therefore, virulence varies among isolated cultures, although the origins of these evolutionary
adaptations on a molecular level are all interconnected and can be studied though tracing genetic
elements of between bacterial populations and those found in animals and humans [3]. Studies in the
past tried to directly tie the two phenomena together and confirmed that increased usage of antibiotics
were directly correlated with increased resistance to those specific antibiotics. A finding was
additionally mentioned that diversifying the antibiotics used to eliminate bacterial populations and
reduction in overall use of antibiotics would minimize the levels of resistance in certain bacterial
species most commonly found in hospitals [8]. Additionally, Studies found that certain bacterial
species with increased exposure to antibiotics are highly prevalent in waste water of hospitals. High
levels of resistance displayed in these populations pose as a major risk to environmental health if
released beyond clinical waste water systems. Untreated wastewater is therefore an immediate cause
of concern [8]. Thus, with this data from past and current studies, pathogens are not in themselves
rare, but virulence does vary due to increased exposure to antibiotics and gained resistance that has

The Financial Difficulties Of The Insolvency Firms Are...
Insolvency firms are becoming increasingly familiar with the restructuring and regeneration of local
pharmacies due to the increased financial pressures in the changing landscape of the industry. There
are approximately 4,022 pharmacies in Australia that inject $16.2 billion worth of revenue into the
economy each year (IBIS World, 2015). Despite this, a combination of lowering prices and
intensifying competitive pressures has resulted in an increasing number of bankruptcies in the
industry, a notable example being the Pulse Pharmacy Group (IBIS World, 2015). In 2012, Guild
President Kos Sclavos reported that 120 pharmacies had gone bankrupt in the past year and a further
300 were in financial distress (Daniels, A 2012). Whilst this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Government in 1950 with the aim to lower the cost of drugs to the Australian Public (IBIS World,
2015). This scheme governs 80% of prescription machine and as such has reshaped the pharmacy
industry as 62% of revenue comes from these products (KordaMentha 2015). The government
establishes an Approved Price to Pharmacists that they will reimburse to pharmacies, however the
pharmacies themselves can negotiate lower purchasing costs from drug suppliers so that the profit
margin is increased as displayed in Figure 3 (KordaMentha, 2015). Pharmainfocus reported that in

Tea Plantation in Bangladesh
Bangladesh produces and exports a large quantity of high quality tea. Most of the tea plantations are
situated in the northeastern areas of the country, around Sylhet and Srimongal. Sylhet is situated close
to Bangladesh s border with the Indian states of Meghalaya and Assam. This part of the country is
covered by hillocks rising to moderate heights. The rainfall is higher than average, a fact which British
tea planters realised in the 18th century to the advantage of tea cultivation. These conditions have
provided rich tropical forests with many species of wildlife, scented orange groves and pineapple
plantations. It is also the home of Khashia and Monipuri tribals.
The waterfalls of Madhab Kunda are another very picturesque place to visit. Jafflong, where the river
runs along the border between Bangladesh and India is especially beautiful. On the way there are
number of haors or marshy wetlands, which are natural, depressed swamps holding water almost the
whole year round. They are home to many fish and thousands of local and migratory birds.

These ammendents included, among other things, the introduction of a non union/collective
bargaining system in the form of Enterprise Flexibility Agreements. The intention of the 1993
Industrial Relations Reform Act, for example, was to make enterprise bargaining the main process for
determining wages and other conditions of employment. Awards continued to provide effective
regulation for employees who were not enjoying the benefits of enterprise bargaining, even if award
wages rose slowly and fell well behind wage increases in enterprise agreements (Bray etc al, 2006).
The Business Council of Australia s strong support for enterprise bargaining and for a weakened role
for arbitration tribunals gradually became the mainstream position among most Australian employers,
even among those who had previously supported centralized bargaining (Thornthwaite and Sheldon,
1996). This was the first time in history, in which the unions were excluded from having any
involvement in all forms of agreement in relations to employment conditions in the federal

allow employers to begin to de unionise their operations and to accelerate their move towards a non

Alcoholism refers the drinking of alcohol to such a degree that major aspects of one s life are seriously

Alcoholism is considered a disease. It has known physical, psychological and social symptoms. An

problems, an increase in one s tolerance for alcohol, memory lapses or blackouts while drinking, and

and agitation only relievable by alcohol.
Most likely, a combination of biological, psychological, and cultural factors contribute to the
development of alcoholism in any individual.
Alcoholism often seems to run in families. Although there is no conclusive indication of the alcoholic
family member is associated, studies show that 50 to
80 percent of all alcoholics have had a close alcoholic relative. Some researchers believe that one
inherits an addiction for alcohol. Studies on animals and twins seem to support this theory. One study
suggests that a susceptibility to alcoholism may be linked to a gene on chromosome eleven.
Alcoholism may also be related to emotional problems. For example, alcoholism is sometimes
associated with a family history of maniac depression.
Some alcoholics have used alcohol medicate a depressive disorder. Alcoholics commonly drown their

The Growth Of Internet Coupled With The Rise Of Multimedia...
Abstract. The growth of internet coupled with the rise in networked infrastructure has resulted in
exponential increase in the multimedia content being shared over the communication networks. The
advancement in technology has resulted in increase in multimedia piracy. This is due to the fact that it
is very easy to copy, duplicate and distributes multimedia content using current day technology. In
such a scenario Digital Rights Management is one of the prominent issues to be dealt with and
tremendous work is going on in this direction round the globe. Digital watermarking and
fingerprinting have emerged as fundamental technologies to cater to DRM issues. These technologies
have been found to be of prominent use in content authentication, copy protection, copyright control,
broadcast monitoring and forensic applications. Various requirements of a digital watermarking
system include Imperceptibility, Robustness, Security, Payload and Computational complexity. The
main requirement of real time DRM systems is lesser computational complexity and high robustness.
This chapter proposes and analyses a robust and computational efficient Image watermarking
technique in spatial domain based on Inter Block Pixel Difference (IBPD). The cover image is divided
into 8×8 non overlapping blocks and difference between intensities of two pixels of adjacent blocks at
predefined positions is calculated. Depending upon the watermark bit to be embedded; both the pixels

Methyl Alcohol Should Be Illegal
Methyl Alcohol is a toxic, colorless, flammable liquid alcohol. CH3OH is the chemical formula for it.
Originally from the distillation of wood but now oxidizing methane. In 1923 German chemists had
figured out how to make a synthetic methyl alcohol called methanol. They put carbon, oxygen, and
hydrogen into an industrial pressure cooker and superheated it to more than 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Methyl Alcohol isn t a poison like cyanide. It didn t make you violently sick then kill you. A lethal
undiluted dose is little as two teaspoons for a child, and a quarter cup for a man. A more average
amount leads to blindness then coma and soon death. Methyl (wood) alcohol is not easily broken

European Influence On American Animals In 1491
By 1491, Europeans already were growing grains such as rye, wheat, barley. They used wind and
water as power sources, and had a lot of domesticated animals. Horses in Europe were plowing soil,
and pigs were used as a source of protein and leather was made from their skin. Also, they had sheep
and cows, so they could drink milk and make butter. In contrast, on American continent, natives were
only growing corn, and in South America only potato was growing at that time. In America only lamas
were present who could not pull a plow nor give milk. In North America Ice age and hunting put
animals at levels of extinction.
In Europe, hunting animals was just for sport and prestige. Fish were abundant and were eaten by all
classes. Demand for fish

Multicultural Resetting
In order to develop a deeper sense of awareness about the challenges of working with children within
a multicultural resetting, and also to further develop my inclusive research, choosing a methodology
was an essential step together with understanding different criteria for the assessment of educational
research as discussed in Teaching and Learning Research Briefing , no 80, 2009. But before deciding
on a methodology for this project, it is important to mention that the scope of my investigation is not
finding a solution to a problem, but rather learning about potential issues related to working with
children in a multicultural nursery setting, and problematise the diversity and inclusion aspects
derived from this using critical thinking and academic research methodology. The process of research
required an approach to interviewing, mainly the necessity to plan and conduct a narrative interview,
which can be defined by an interaction or dialogue with one or more individuals in order to build a
narration of their lives within a certain environment. (Soler, 2013) A narrative based methodology in
the form of conducting interviews to research diversity and inclusion have been successfully used for
different levels of research and key studies (Nutbrown and Clough, 2006). ... Show more content on

One possible participant was the nursery manager. Her insight into the general administration
challenges and staff related issues was one way to approach the issue discussed. Another individual I
was thinking to interview was the deputy manager of the nursery, mainly because she has a closer

Grandpa Interview
This is my Grandfather Lowell Fetters, my mothers father. He was drafted into the war at 19 in 1967
and shipped off to war at 20 in 1968 a year after graduating from Ludington high school. He is now 69
years old. He lived in Ludington Michigan with his wife before we were involved in the war. He now
lives in Muskegon Michigan He served in the war, and now he just plays pool with his friends. I
interviewed him on February 28th over the phone, we talked for 30 minutes. I asked my grandpa some
questions regarding his experiences in war, he had a very difficult time, he are some of the things he
shared with me. I asked him how his family and friends reacted when he told them he was going off to

I heard the pain in my grandfathers voice, i know he has been through a lot. He suffers form PTSD
really bad, and feel into depression after the war. I have learned that we lost so many insistent brave
people. I have learned that not only should we not have been involved but once we were we should
have gotten out faster. It was hard for me to think of what what to ask my grandpa, I didn t want to
upset him, but i needed to get good information out, i decided what to ask him by asking questions
about his personal experiences and what he thought of the war in all. My grandpa seemed really
scared and worried about the questions i asked he was emotional and didn t seem like he wanted to
talk about it but he did anyway and I m very happy he shared this with me. I fell that the most
meaningful aspects of this interview were my personal questions. When I asked him about his
memories, he seamed to not vividly remember he very clearly remembered and shared it with me. If i
could do anything differently in this interview it would be to ask more questions about how he felt,
and to approach them more subtly come about asking him, I didn t like how upset he got but i don t
know if i could have changed that. I love my grandpa and i know he went through a lot as well as

Taking a Look at Holden s Inmaturity
Catcher in The Rye Essay
Holden s Immaturity Holden is just a young man, but he is going through a very cruel and unforgiving
world that will change him forever. He overcomes many obstacles and barley gets out of it with his
sanity still in tact. Holden is a different kind of person and he is just not wired like everybody else. He
is represented as an outsider that is clearly different. Holden can change in his views quickly and they
can stay that way for quite a long time. Holden in the beginning is very very innocent, and doesn t
exactly know how bad of a place the world is and know how bad people can become. Holden is also
very immature and doesn t understand what he is doing wrong in being immature. Holden has many
emotions and views that he does not exactly know how to deal with, or when to deal with. He has
certain views that are very hypocritical and immature. He thinks that he wants to do something, that in
the end he would only regret, and he never does do these things, but the fact that he thinks about it
clearly shows off his immaturity. Holden fails to grow up, and that hurts him throughout the novel
multiple times causing, ultimately his path to be very different than he expected. In J.D. Salinger
Catcher in the Rye, the main character, Holden Caufield, is fails to evolve maturely throughout the
whole novel, regarding women, thinking out his actions, and killing. Holden has very hypocritical and
wrong views about women and taking advantage of them

autobiography about Ms. Anne Moody of Centreville, MS. The book takes you from rural Mississippi
when Ms. Moody was four years old till she joined the Movement. Anne Moody was always
determined and very misunderstood by her family. In her younger years, Ms. Moody would ask

being misunderstood, she worked hard to help her mother stay afloat. When she was nine years old,
she got her first job that paid two nickels and clabber milk. As she grew older, her determination to be
better than what her mother is grew as well. In the book, she went so far as to say

  • 2. Trip To Disney World Essay I remember planning for this day for about two years. When I would finally get the chance to be with my best friends and take a road trip to California to go to Disney Land, and now that the time to take that trip has come and gone I would like to talk about my most important journey. Once I woke up I called Alavee to make sure he was awake. I m glad he was because he saved me some time by calling Priya and Rigo to make sure they were getting ready to go. About an hour and a half later we all met up in the school parking lot at about the same time. The exception was Priya who had to take extra time to bring the camper which we hardly used in the end, but it was still better than trying to cram into one car to sleep. Anthony brought his ... The next day we wanted to head out early so we could make it to Colorado and have time to see some sites and visit my aunt and uncle. After we said thanks for letting us stay with my Aunt Alks and Uncle Pinakin s house, we were on our way. I wasn t really looking forward to the drive ahead because I remember how long it was the first time I had to make the trip, and it gets uncomfortable. The only thing I like when we go to Colorado is that we lose an hour. This was probably the most boring trip on our journey because most of the land we traveled was in Nebraska and it was flat and plain. There was nothing really significant about this trip until we got to Colorado. Flat land changed into mountains and country turned into city. That part of it was really interesting because it was like we could see the invisible line separating Colorado and Nebraska. It took us a little while to find my aunt in Golden, Colorado because the directions were a little hard to follow. I guess no one wanted to see anything because almost as soon as we were ... • 4. Candy Diet By Seth Godin In the article Candy Diet , Seth Godin discusses how intellectual information has become unpopular in our modern day society. Today, people value simple and fast information more than in depth, thought provoking material. Godin makes it clear that people need to stop this anti intellectualism from snowballing and totally dominating our media by purchasing information of substance, avoiding videos that are intellectually numbing, and conversing in an intellectual manner. Godin successfully persuades the reader to choose intellectually stimulating information by his use of facts, quotes, examples, structure, encouraging tones, and even the title. The Descent Grade a The film the descent uses a range of shots, sound, editing and symbolisation to create an ominous atmosphere; in effect this makes the horror aspect in the film really stand out as it leaves the viewer deciding what happens in specific parts of the film, which all ties in with the films ending. This all makes the film very subjective and leaves much of the opening scenes open to interpretation which is very enticing for a horror movie. The films opening sequence contains many things which symbolise the events in the movie and starts to define what genre the movie is, because the music is fairly ambient and deep suggesting danger which implies it s a horror or a thriller movie. Throughout the whole boating scene there are many different shots, edits, sounds and effects which make the whole scene upbeat and adventurous. A shot type which does this is the aerial (bird s eye) view which in effect presents the tight squeezes in the waterfalls and the sheer size of the waterfall that they in. Also the edits in this scene are very fast keeping everything upbeat and to show how Sarah, Beth and Juno would be seeing things. • 7. Treatment Of Women In Trifles In the play, Trifles, women are not treated as well as the men. The play is about a woman who killed her husband because he killed her bird. An exploration of the play reveals a fundamental difference between the women s actions and the men s, a difference grounded in varying understandings of the home space. (Holstein) The place is then looked over by the officers to find out if she really did kill her husband, but the officers find nothing because the wives of the officers hide the dead bird from them. They did not have all the same rights as the men back in the day. Susan Glaspell depicts the marriage between men and women as men being upper class and telling the women what to do, and the women as almost slaves, forced to do what their husbands tell them to do. The women in the play, Trifles, were treated like second class citizens. In 2008, the citizen says, Anyone can become president, and Barack Obama is pictured by his side. The citizen is grinning, looking at President Obama with wide eyes and excitement. Alongside that depiction, the citizen is again shown in 2016. He is saying again, Anyone can become president, however this time Donald Trump is standing by his side. This time the citizen is sad and looks disappointed. d. The cartoonist of this political cartoon is demonstrating the views of many American people after Donald Trump was elected president compared to their views when Barack Obama was elected. In 1977 a drought reduced the number of small seeds available for the birds, forcing them to rely on larger seeds and nuts, which were difficult for birds with smaller beaks to open. The number of birds unable to eat reduced as they died and gave way to harder beaked finches. Within a couple of generations they had evolved larger beaks. In 2003 another drought struck the Galapagos and as there were many large beaked finches, the food source of nuts dwindled, making the ability to eat smaller seeds an asset. The numbers of larger beaked birds dwindled as food became scarce, leaving the smaller birds to survive and reproduce. Darwin s theory was not well received when first written in On the Origin of Species, though many scientists today use it as a basis for research in evolution. Both theories suggest that a species changes over time to be able to better adapt to an environment. Though Lamarck thought that the entire population of that species would evolve as one, i.e. all offspring changes together with same adaptation. Darwin concluded that only the specimen with the mutation or an altered version of a feature to evolve a species as they would be able to adapt and survive easier than those without it, thus causing the unevolved to die off while the evolved lived. The author of As I Lay Dying, William Faulkner, really contributes to the aspects of literature through his ability to tell a seemingly incredible story through only the stream of consciousness technique. Faulkner takes his insight beyond the piece, through other s views and thoughts. Although the characters might be acting differently upon each subject or handling each action in opposite ways, the tone and theme that he uses really brings the whole piece to a perfect balance. In As I Lay Dying, Faulkner displays contradicting elements through the reactions of the family members towards the mother s death with the use of dialogue, tone, imagery, and internal conflict. When speculating about the only female character, in regards to the mother, it is evident that a predictable aspect will be found in Dewey Dell for she carries the female qualities in the story. This statement in As I Lay Dying, Ma, Dewey Dell says; ma! (Faulkner 48) was the first reaction made by any of the characters towards the death of the mother, and it came from Dewey Dell. Reasons for this could be the sexist factor that she is a girl, so her reaction will be more emotionally projected than that of the male characters. However, the aspect of Dewey Dell not being able to let go of her mother can also play a role in her reaction. This idea is expressed through ...the fan is still moving like it has for ... Therefore, I would never want to lose this benefit that the U.S has given us. The New Progressive Party consists of those who want Puerto Rico to become a state. English is taught in Puerto Rican schools, but it is a foreign language to them. Less than 20% of Puerto Ricans can speak English fluently, which would make integration into United States culture very difficult. Cognitive Theories Of Selective Attention Essay Critically Discuss the Cognitive Theories of Selective Attention Kingston University K1313472 Critically Discuss the Cognitive Theories of Selective Attention Attention is considered to be a core cognitive process, it refers to how people actively process specific information in the environment. Attention refers to how people select from information and stimuli in the environment, facilitating processing of some of the stimuli and inhibiting processing of others. Everyone knows what attention is, it is the taking possession by the mind in clear and vivid form, of one out of what seem several simultaneously possible objects or trains of thought...It implies withdrawal from some things in order to deal effectively with others, and is a condition which has a real opposite in the confused, dazed, scatterbrained state. This definition of attention was proposed by psychologist William James (1890). This review will focus on literature that gives explanation to selective attention. Selective attention refers to the process where a person is able to select out of many stimuli and focus on the one they want and ignore other stimuli. The cocktail party effect was investigated in early studies of selective attention. It was first described by Cherry (1953). It s the observation that even in a noisy environment people are able to focus their attention on who is talking to them. Even though the Agricultural Revolution brought efficient ways of obtaining food, farming was still a hard work, and as a result, it took a toll on people s health. Tooth decay and anemia were common, since there was a smaller variety of foods to be obtained, and that food might not have given the people all the nutrition they required. Such deficiencies in their diet meant that the people did not develop as well as they could have, so they were general small in stature. A finding was additionally mentioned that diversifying the antibiotics used to eliminate bacterial populations and reduction in overall use of antibiotics would minimize the levels of resistance in certain bacterial species most commonly found in hospitals [8]. Insolvency firms are becoming increasingly familiar with the restructuring and regeneration of local pharmacies due to the increased financial pressures in the changing landscape of the industry. There are approximately 4,022 pharmacies in Australia that inject $16.2 billion worth of revenue into the economy each year (IBIS World, 2015). Despite this, a combination of lowering prices and intensifying competitive pressures has resulted in an increasing number of bankruptcies in the industry, a notable example being the Pulse Pharmacy Group (IBIS World, 2015). These ammendents included, among other things, the introduction of a non union/collective bargaining system in the form of Enterprise Flexibility Agreements. The intention of the 1993 Industrial Relations Reform Act, for example, was to make enterprise bargaining the main process for determining wages and other conditions of employment. Awards continued to provide effective regulation for employees who were not enjoying the benefits of enterprise bargaining, even if award wages rose slowly and fell well behind wage increases in enterprise agreements (Bray etc al, 2006). The Business Council of Australia s strong support for enterprise bargaining and for a weakened role for arbitration tribunals gradually became the mainstream position among most Australian employers, even among those who had previously supported centralized bargaining (Thornthwaite and Sheldon, 1996). This was the first time in history, in which the unions were excluded from having any involvement in all forms of agreement in relations to employment conditions in the federal jurisdiction. It was at the time of this introduction that it became evident that these agreements would allow employers to begin to de unionise their operations and to accelerate their move towards a non union status. The growth of internet coupled with the rise in networked infrastructure has resulted in exponential increase in the multimedia content being shared over the communication networks. The advancement in technology has resulted in increase in multimedia piracy. This is due to the fact that it is very easy to copy, duplicate and distributes multimedia content using current day technology. In such a scenario Digital Rights Management is one of the prominent issues to be dealt with and tremendous work is going on in this direction round the globe. Digital watermarking and fingerprinting have emerged as fundamental technologies to cater to DRM issues. These technologies have been found to be of prominent use in content authentication, copy protection, copyright control, broadcast monitoring and forensic applications. Various requirements of a digital watermarking system include Imperceptibility, Robustness, Security, Payload and Computational complexity. The main requirement of real time DRM systems is lesser computational complexity and high robustness. This chapter proposes and analyses a robust and computational efficient Image watermarking technique in spatial domain based on Inter Block Pixel Difference (IBPD).
