There are many conflicts found in the play Macbeth by Shakespeare both external and internal. There
is man vs. society, man vs. self, man vs. man, and even man vs. supernatural. In my opinion, I believe
that the central conflict in Macbeth s plot is man vs. self, an internal conflict. This internal conflict
begins when Macbeth overhears the three witch sisters,also known as the Weird Sisters, making a
prediction that one day he will be become King and rule. From this point on in the play, he (Macbeth)
is conflicted about murdering Duncan, King of Scotland, in order to gain power. Macbeth starts of the
play as a good, honest warrior and the well trusted captain of King Duncan. Macbeth begins to
experience the conflict of man vs self because of his wise to become king (as well as his trust in the
witches prediction) which directly goes against his loyalty to King Duncan. Even though he goes
through internal conflicts with himself over committing this crime many times his ambition wins, and
he becomes a killer. His conscience seems to overcome everything else by the end, and this is also true
for other characters in the play. This ambition combined with guilt creates a man vs self conflict all
throughout the play. Ambition has severe consequences as seen when Macbeth is slain and branded a
tyrant. Shakespeare does not give his character the chance to enjoy what he has done as a way

John Ruskin s Impact On Society
To do what one thinks and believes in, regardless of the positive or negative outcome, is very
important in society to create change. This is something people are lacking today. John Ruskin has a
famous quote, supporting this idea. What we think, or what we know, or what we believe is, in the
end, of little consequence. The only consequence is what we do. To start off, society has this idea that
consequences are only negative affects, but really, the definition of consequence is a result or effect of
an action or condition. Using all of that to understand the quote from John Ruskin, I interpreted it in
the way that all people have thoughts, knowledge, and beliefs. But, what the people do with those
thoughts, knowledge, and beliefs, are what will make a change in the end. If no one tells their ideas,
how will anything ever change? A prime example of a person who wasn t afraid to tell their beliefs
would be Martin Luther King Jr. He was not phased by people judging him for his skin color or
beliefs. He just said what he thought was right, and although he died for it, he did change society in a
positive way. I strongly agree with Ruskin s quote because change only occurs when someone goes
out of their way to try and cause it.

Imagine finding yourself pregnant at the age of 30 with your ninth child. You live in a small apartment
and you are unable to feed all of the members of your large family, also clueless as to how to prevent
future pregnancies. This story would not be too far from reality for many women over a hundred years
ago. It is also similar in ways to the life of Margaret Sanger, a women s rights activist who is
responsible for the family planning movement that started birth control. Margaret Sanger s mother had
11 children and 18 pregnancies, that definitely took a destructive toll on her body, and she died at only
46 years old (Yasunari 2000). Margaret took notice of what happened to her mother and many other
women, inspiring her to make it her life s work to help women have more control over their bodies
and families. Margaret s work grew famous for the beginning of a birth control movement and the
later creation of Planned Parenthood, but it also has a sometimes dark side of eugenics. She went to
college to be a nurse and treated many women who continued to have children, even though they were
wishing to prevent pregnancies. Margaret saw a correlation between impoverished struggling families
and having a large number of children. Margaret referred to women being slaves to their bodies and
involuntary motherhood, and also that by age 35, motherhood often exhausted women s bodies
(Katzive 2015). She also probably noticed how desperate some women were to prevent pregnancies.

Jenny and Forrest found comfort and understanding in their platonic relationship. As Jenny is the only
one by his side growing beside his mother, Forrest immediately fall in love with her. Forrest confesses
his love to Jenny after he beat up some people who were harassing her. Jenny rejects his love because
she believes Forrest does not know what the meaning of love is. Despite her rejection, when Forrest is
being deployed to serve in the Vietnam War she shows her concerned for him. Later in the film, when
Forrest returns home to his dying mother, Jenny and Forrest are reunited. When Forrest asked Jenny to
marry him, she tells him she loves him. Their relationship develops into a romantic relationship. In

Unconventional Diplomacy was published in 1961. This source depicts Pancho Villa and his relations
with the United States, specifically about how he would not have been able to succeed as a
revolutionary figure if it were not for the U.S government and Woodrow Wilson. The purpose the
author wrote this source is because he wanted to educate people, specifically U.S. citizens on how the
United States was seen as a superior country and poorer countries such as Mexico strived for U.S.
favor. The content this source is that Villa would not have been as successful were it not for the favor
of the U.S. This source is of value because it outlines specific details of how Pancho Villa s image was
transformed due to the U.S. This source has helped me in my investigation by giving specific
examples of how Pancho Villa used the media, however it has limited me because of the fact it takes

Purpose of the study
The main purpose of this study was to ascertain how lipid transport molecules LDL, HDL, and
triglycerides are linked to neuropsychological function.
Hypothesis (es)
The authors of this study made the hypothesis that elevated levels of triglycerides and LDL cholesterol
would be related to decreased neuropsychological function, with a greater link in the scopes of
memory and executive function.
Participants
A total of 74 females and 46 males participated in this study. All these participants were taken from
two different studies, yet it is to be noted that these studies overlapped one another. The participants
were chosen on the premise of having existing or an absence of cerebrovascular disease (CVD) risk
