Software Quality And Customer Satisfaction
Software quality comprises of two levels, which are intrinsic product quality and customer
satisfaction. Intrinsic product quality can be measured by number of bugs or defects occurring during
the software development phases or by how long the software can operate without crashing or error
occurring. Customer satisfaction will be achieved if all the software functions or requirements listed in
product log are met. Therefore, Software produced will be at its highest quality if software s features
and functionality meet all the business objects, and codes written are relatively bugs free.
Software quality control (SQL), which is a set of activities, encourages ensuring the highest quality in
software products. It contains activities relating to reviews such as requirement review, design review,
code review and also activities relating to testing such as unit testing, integration testing, system
testing and acceptance testing. Main purpose of SQL is to ensure that the developing software meet all
the specifications. At this stage, our group had reviewed software requirements and making sure to
achieve all by the time of software development sprint end. Other reviews such as design, codes are
going to be well analyzed in later sprint and all the testing types are going to be executed in order to
ensure that all the solutions are well tested. Software testing will be done during every development
processes in order to assess features and quality of the software. Different

Case Study Of Lancaster County Sheriff s Department
For a decade or more, the Lancaster County Sheriff s Department has had problems with recruiting,
retaining, and selecting the right deputies for their agency. Nevertheless, my data gathering plan is to
collect data from the Lancaster County Sheriff s Department deputies by scheduling an interview with
several deputies to obtain the following survey questions: Do Lancaster County Sheriff s Department
(LCSD) deputies treat people of all races and ethnicities equally? Do LCSD do a good job keeping
citizens safe? How safe do you feel at night walking in your neighborhood? Do LCSD serve all areas
within the county equally? Do LCSD do a good job serving the neighborhoods within the county? Do
the deputies engage in racial profiling?

Jacques-Louis Cousteau Was A Marine Explorer In The 1900 s
Some individuals say you cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the
shore. One must take a risk to find what they truly love and are interested in. Jacques Yves Cousteau
was a French marine explorer in the 1900 s. Jacques Yves Cousteau created the Aqualung to innovate
ways to overcome the problem of staying underwater for long periods of time and illuminated society
by informing people about the ocean and pollution. Jacques Cousteau created the Aqualung. The
Aqualung is a breathing apparatus that allows people to stay underwater for extended periods of time.
He created the Aqualung because of his interest of of exploring under the sea. Cousteau gained this

My Trip At The Airport
It was a Sunday evening when my parents told us we were going on a trip. My younger brother
Charlie and I were so excited since we ve never been out of the country before. We would be gone for
only a week so I had to fit in as much as possible, I wanted to see all the history and culture this small
country offered. I did all my research on it before we left and I even taught myself common terms.
The day we left was a day I will never forget; I remember sitting at the airport shaking my leg like
crazy because I was so eager to go. Flying there felt like forever but, the moment I saw the prodigious
green mountains, I was astonished. The second I stepped outside the airport, I felt the crisp, cool air

After being very indecisive, we knew what to do. We wanted to take the Golden circle. It s basically a
route in South Iceland covering some of the major landmarks. The next day we woke up pretty early
so we could accomplish the whole route by the end of the day. The first place we headed for was the
geyser in Haukadalur. It didn t take that long to get there, it was actually very beautiful on the way. It
was all open land and mountains. The Geyser was incredible. It was a huge piece of brown land, like
mud, with a giant hole in the middle. The hole was filled with water that boiled for about 10 minutes
and then erupted through the ground at nearly 40 m high. After we stood there watching it erupt
probably 3 times, we decided to go to our next stop: Þingvelli National park. It was one of the most
breathtaking places I d ever seen. There were huge black rock formations with slightly green grass
covering certain areas. Small streams ran through the whole thing. We hiked through a lot of it before
we went to the Gullfoss Waterfall. It wasn t like any other waterfall. It was a waterfall on top of
another waterfall. It stretched out far and you could see the glistening of a rainbow form on top of it.
We walked along the trail beside it getting splashed with water. I just couldn t believe my eyes. It was
like nothing I ve ever seen before. I wanted to stay there forever and just stare at this magnificent

The Success of Stephanie Meyer Essay
I d never given much thought to how I would die, but dying in the place of someone I love seems like
a good way to go. Those are the famous words that started it all, The Twilight Saga Phenomenon. The
Twilight Saga consists of four novels: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. Stephanie
Meyer, author of the popular saga, majored in English literature at Brigham Young University. After
graduating in 1997, Meyer chose to be a stay at home mother to her three sons. The concept of the
whole saga came to her in a dream one night. When she woke up, she took a pen and paper and
documented everything that occurred in her dream. She then based all four novels on that dream
because she had a gut feeling that it was going to make a great ... Show more content on

No one besides her sister knew that she was writing a novel, little known at the time, but the
masterpiece known as Twilight. Since Meyer is a mother of three, and is busy with her kids needs and
wants all day, she would take time late at night to work on writing her novel. And in three short
months, she completed Twilight, regardless of her insignificant amount of experience in writing. In all
four works, Bella Swan in the protagonist. The story is centered around her life. All four books are
written in her perspective. Meyer usually tends to write all her stories as first person narratives,
including books that are not related to the Twilight Saga like The Host. When Meyer writes, she
becomes completely engrossed in the characters. The main reason why she writes is because of the
characters she creates. She envisions them in her brain. She talks to them all day, and they talk back.
Coming up with the perfect names for the two main characters was a very tough process. She wanted a
name that was popular decades ago, but at the same time, she wanted a name that was romantic for the
vampire. Since Meyer grew up reading Charlotte Bronte and Jane Austen, she used the characters Mr.
Ferrars and Mr. Rochester from their works as an inspiration; thus leading her to choose the name
Edward. After coming up with the names for the twosome, and was still in the process of creating their
story, they would constantly talk to her. She heard their voices all day, so Meyer would

By utilizing a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis, individuals and
corporations alike can determine where their weak spots are and attempt to correct them prior to the
risk occurring. Taking into consideration the Benefits Election System, there are several potential risks
within the systems. These risks include database corruption, spyware, and hacking.
Database Corruption
Database corruption is one potential safety concern for the Benefits Election System. Database
corruption comes in several forms including viruses and worms. Viruses act as a real program that is
installed on the computer or network and every time the program is accessed the virus spreads to other
programs until the system and/or computer essentially crashes. On the other hand, worms attack the
security holes within a network. Like viruses, worms attach themselves to holes within the security of
the network. Once worms have attached to the network the worm then scans for other networks with
holes to replicate. This kind of corruption to the system can lead to loss and damage of information on
the system. Anti corruption software is readily available in today s market which reduces

Introduction. The Forward Premium Puzzle Can Be Referred
Introduction The forward premium puzzle can be referred to as the forward premium anomaly in the
capital markets. A forward premium can be described as a situation where the future exchange or the
spot future exchange trades at higher spot exchange rate compared to the domestic currency. Using
descriptive measures, the forward premium can be measured as the difference between the forward
rates. The prevailing spot rate and which also includes the domestic currency is expected to increase
when the domestic interest rates (nominal) surpasses foreign interest rates (Lane, and Milesi‐Ferretti,
2011). The premium puzzle can be well seen because the theory explains that if all currencies possess
equal risks, all investors would ask for interest ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Individuals with relatively selective information about the quality of a product will selectively
participate in trades which benefit them the most, at the expense of the other trader. Forward contracts
cannot be traded in the exchange markets. Therefore, standard amounts of currency are not traded in
these forms of agreements. The only way they can be cancelled is when both parties collectively
agree. These parties involved in the contract are mostly interested in hedging a foreign exchange
position or even taking a speculative position. The parties with little the information are worried about
rigged trades, which occur when the party who has all the information uses it to their advantage. This
diminishes the volume of trade in the market. In this case, the person who is subjected to adverse
selection can protect himself by screening customers or by identifying credible signals of appetite. For
example, where the buyer is adversely selected against are in financial markets. An organisation is
more likely to offer stock when managers privately know that the current stock price exceeds the
fundamental value of the firm. The premium puzzle can be well seen because the economic theory
states that if all currencies are equally risky, all investors would ask for interest rates which are high
on currencies which are expected to reduce in value in the short run. Mostly, logical assumptions are
made stating that future spot rate is equal to the current

Daniel Wallace s Big Fish tells the story of a father and son trying to communicate and make up for
lost time at the time of the father s death. In the novel, the father s death takes place in four different
stories or takes. In the midst of these accounts of his death, we are told through stories and tall tales
just what the father, Edward Bloom, was really like. Throughout the story are one page chapters where
the story shifts and the life of Edward Bloom is told by others and through this we are told what they
say about him. It is in these pages where the real legend of Edward Bloom is discovered. These one

Contingency Planning
The worldwide outage caused by the electromagnetic pulse due to the solar storm would affect most of
the operations that take place globally (Davis, 2003). Since internationalization entails
interdependence with other countries, it implies that the world will be at a standstill. The economic
processes, social and political activities will stagnate. However, suppose the world becomes aware of
the catastrophe, governments and different social institutions in various countries would employ some
contingencies that will enable them to continue thriving. Various changes will occur in the social life,
and most of them would be inclined to the downside. For instance, the health sector will be at mess
because most hospitals use power in the modern world, leading to the decline in the health services.
The education sector is also not an exception. The digitalization of learning systems in the civilized
society made learning easier. Since the systems use power, education will also be altered. Thus, the
outage will paralyze the learning activities globally. Davis (2003) argues that the worldwide shortage
of power will also cause unemployment to people who work in power driven companies. Since they
operate and rely on electricity and digitalized communication systems, their production processes will
stop, leading to their closure, and cause people to who used to work there lose their jobs.
The deficiency in communication

Compare Wilfred Owen And Brooke
Good afternoon members of the Australian English literature society, I m so thankful and privileged to
be here today. Throughout many centuries, we have seen the devastation and heartache brought into
our lives by the continuous negativity and hate surrounding vicious war attacks. Today I am here to
give you an insight into the way that poets through history have used war as a meaningful way source
of literature to change and influence the lives of others. The poets in which we will be looking at, are
Wilfred Owen and Rupert Brooke.
Owen and Brooke were both poets writing during the First World War with poems containing the
themes of war. They both have very different perspectives on the topic. In both Owen s poems Dulce
et decorum Est and insensibility, he highlights the horror and terrifying experiences seen in first hand
from his own experience of being a soldier of war. Both these poems give the reader a sense of fear
and unfamiliarly by explaining the pain and suffering endured throughout the war. He also expresses
his own feelings about how dying at war for your country is not as honourable and glorious as it seems
, he believes that no matter the cause of a soldiers death , it s very painful and disheartening to all
those around.
While on the other hand in Brooke s poem, The Soldier gives off the impression that dying in war and
battle for one s country is a very honourable and glorious time. A belief that can be seen in Brookes
poem is that he believes it is a

Strategic Hrm And Strategic Management
02 The nature of strategic HRM 2.1 Identify the context of strategic HRM Strategic human resource
management is designed to help companies meet the needs of their employees while promoting
company goals. It requires thinking ahead, and planning ways for a company to better meet the needs
of its employees, and for the employees to better meet the needs of the company. 2.2 Evaluate the
interface between HRM and strategic management Strategic management involves the formulation
and implementation of the major goals and initiatives taken by a company s top management on
behalf of owners, based on consideration of resources and an assessment of the internal and external
environments in which the organization competes. Additionally, strategic HRM is the interface
between HRM and strategic management. It takes the notion of HRM as a strategic, integrated and
coherent approach and develops that in line with the concept of strategic management. 2.3 Analyse
models of strategic HRM HRM models provide an analytical framework for studying HRM.
Additionaly, they can establish variables and relationships to be researched, and are able to explain the
nature and significance of key HR. Two contrasting theories of HRM have been put forward as an
approach to tackle work force in a company that are called Hard HRM and Soft HRM. Storey (1989)
has distinguished between hard and soft forms of HRM, typified by the Michigan and Harvard models
respectively. Hard HRM focuses on the resource

Sensitivity Analysis
In general sensitivity analysis, the most influencing parameters are identified through building a
statistical linear model, partial t test, and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Sensitivity analysis was
conducted through Design of experiments (DoE) in order to determine the most influencing geological
parameters on the Gas Assisted Gravity Drainage process performance. DoE combines multi level of
each parameter to create many computer experiments evaluated by the compositional reservoir
simulation to obtain the flow response factor. In this study, the parameters adopted for sensitivity
analysis are horizontal permeability, anisotropy ratio $K_{v}/K_{h}$, and porosity, all given for the
entire reservoir. First, more than 80 computer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, this fact can be also observed in Figure ~ref{fig:sa1lm} that decorates the component
residual plots for each parameter. If a variable has a horizontal straight line of residual, it has no effect
on the response and should be removed from the linear model, specifically the porosity variable.
Figure ~ref{fig:sa1_lm} shows the basic diagnostic plots for the full linear model. The residuals vs.
fitted plot is used to determine if the linear relationship between the predictors (parameters) and
outcome factors are captured by the model. An accurate model will have a residuals vs. fitted plot with
a horizontal line with residuals above and below it without forming a pattern or grouping, as seen in
the top left plot. Moreover, the normal Q Q plot, shown in the top right plot, is used to determine if the
residuals are normally distributed. A good normal distribution will have a normal Q Q plot which
follows a straight line, as do our results. Furthermore, the Scale Location plot shows if the residuals
are spread equally along all ranges of the predictors. Ideally, the residuals should be randomly spread
across all fitted values and not tend to one area, as ours do in the bottom left plot. Likewise, the
Residuals vs Leverage plot determines how big of an impact outliers points have on the regression
curve. Additionally, outliers away from the Cook s distance will have a large

My First Semester At The Ohio State University Essay
If you can t make it better, you can laugh at it. I found this quote by American columnist Erma
Bombeck about a month into my first semester at The Ohio State University. I liked it a lot. So much
that I wrote it in sprawling letters on the dry erase board that I had been using to scribble my
motivational quote of the week and I never erased it. I could not have known at the time how Erma s
words would transform from something my roommate and I would say flippantly about bad first dates
and failed quizzes, into a philosophy that would carry me through four years of studies and shape the
person I am today. I needed laughter desperately during those first few months of college. My grades
were bad, my family was in crisis, I felt friendless and alone and I did not know who I was or what I
was doing. Those first few months felt like I was stumbling through a dark an unfamiliar room,
looking for lamp to turn on. Stumbling through that darkness I eventually found myself in the
basement of a university building auditioning for Fishbowl Improv. I had come to fishbowl auditions
on a whim. Bijan, the boy who lived across the hall, told me I should try out with him, and so I did.
Nobody was more surprised that I was when I got the call that I made it in.
My time in fishbowl taught me more than I could have ever guessed there was to learn. Most of all, I
learned that I hadn t been taking laughter seriously enough. Comedy feels like an instinct until you
apply yourself to it.

Vladimir Nabokov s Destroyed Innocence
Destroyed Innocence
Love and obsession are often misinterpreted to be the same thing, yet one can cause people to flourish,
while another destroys the people involved. Humbert Humbert becomes obsessed with the childlike
innocence in young girls and pursues a 12 year old girl, Lolita. Humbert and Lolita develop a sexual
relationship that inevitably takes away her innocence more each time that they are together. Vladimir
Nabokov uses irony and diction in Lolita to show how Humbert is obsessed with Lolita s childlike
innocence, and how his obsession leads to the destruction of the childhood that he is so desperately
trying to obtain. Humbert so desperately attempts to regain a childhood he lost through Lolita,

Alexander The Great Is More Important Than Warfare Essay
Alexander the Great is someone who is studied deeply in history, and during the study of him, his
warfare is seen through it all. Just by seeing his name, it can be concluded that he is important for
many things he had accomplished during his time as leader. The question is, was all of his
accomplishments because of warfare or did he offer something else to history if warfare was taken
away. Alexander the Great conquered many places and spent most of his time traveling from place to
place to conquer the next place. Most of his off time was not spent doing something to add to legacy
that wasn t war related. Warfare is what Alexander was good at and was known for, so if that was
taken away from him, he wouldn t be that great after all. There are many accomplishments that could
be justified to show that Alexander the Great had something to do with more than warfare, but just
about all of them can be related back to warfare. From the beginning of Alexanders history, war was
what he was good at. When his father, Philip, passed away he stepped up and followed through with

Analysis Of Pariah, Directed And Written By Dee Rees Essay
LGBT is an initialism that stands for lesbian, gay, bi sexual, and transgender. It is intended to highlight
a diversity of sexuality and gender identity based cultures. Historically, LGBT people have had to deal
with being brutalised and misunderstood because of the misconception that being gay is different and
deserves different treatment. However, there are efforts being made daily by the community in order
to educate people and ease their fears. The purpose of the following analysis is to deconstruct how
people who fought back while growing up realizing they are apart of community help shaped and/or
will shape them to become strong roles for LGBT people around the world.
In this paper, I will examine how women of color who deal with the lack of acceptance growing up
because of their lesbianism help shape and/or will shape them to be future role models for LGBT
people around the world. I will be using the coming of age drama, Pariah, directed and written by Dee
Rees, as a primary source in order to argue how the cinematography in this film portrays Alike being
the epitome of embracing one s sexuality. I chose this film because it reminded me of a similar story
that touched me in the form of a book written by Audre Lorde called Zami: A New Spelling of My
Name. Standing up in what Alike believed in and taking a stand by fighting back against so many in
the community deal with on a everyday basis is the driving force I will use to show how she took a big

There are many impacts that the constraints will have on the progress of the project. For scope, there
may be a requirement to hire a programmer that has experience in the database systems that Cyber
Solutions currently has. The budget for this project may increase due to a possibility of staff needing
to be paid overtime, deadlines extended, or the possibility that software and equipment will need to be
purchases to complete the project. [pic] PROJECT OVERVIEW Our company chose to bid on this
project for many reasons. The first reason is that over the last year we have opened five new satellite
locations that have taken off faster than previous openings, which has given our company momentum
to take on new larger tasks that are within our field of operation. The second reason is that we have
enough resources to be able to provide future maintenance of the site and its functions. Third, the
purpose of this project also will determine if we increase the team size of our development teams to
allow for multiple large tasks. If in fact management finds that this project was completed with
exceptional quality within reasonable time and budget limitations, then the stock share percentage will

The Tort Of Tort Law
Tort is defined as an act that is wrong, except for a breach of contract or trust in or an infringement of
a right. It may result in an injury to an individual or group of people, their assets and belongings,
status etc for which they are legally entitled for a compensation. The term negligence is the failure to
provide reasonable care, breach on duty of care resulting in damage or injury (What is tort 2013).
Therefore tort of negligence is a disruption of duty and responsibility or a failure of a party to
maintain standard of consideration required by law, resulting in harm, injury or damage suffered by
another party. Therefore the law of tort is simply used to compensate the loss or injury without

In the case of Bolton v Stone (1951) AC850, it was seen that a cricket ball hit Miss Stone outside her
residential. As a result she filed a case to the cricket club for carelessness and negligence. When taken
into the account on the dimensions of the cricket field it was evident that the cricket field had a 7 foot
fence enclosed all around. The actual height of the fence was 17 feet above the cricket pitch as the
pitch itself was under ten feet below the ground. The distance between the sticker and the fence was
roughly 78 yards and Miss Stone was standing under 100 yards from where the ball was hit. A witness
experienced similar experience for five or six times in the last 30 years. Moreover, two adult members

Counter Storytelling Of Young Adult Literature
Counter Storytelling in Young Adult Literature: Oh my God! He was right over there! Closer than I d
been to him when Paul laid into him. Much closer. And Rashad was looking at me, too. I locked eyes
with a kid I didn t know, but felt like I did (309). All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and Brendan
Kiely sought to address police brutality in America, more specifically Springfield. Rashad and Quinn
are your average high school teenagers, attending the same school not knowing one another but going
about their daily lives when Rashad is brutally beaten by Officer Paul Galluzzo. The taped beating of
Rashad causes both young men to dig deep and answer questions about what is right and what is
wrong. Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely presents counter storytelling in All American Boys to tell a
story of racism and police brutality from the perspective of African American teen (Rashad) and a
White teen (Quinn). According to Hughes Hassell: Counter storytelling is an examination of racism
and its impact on people of color and indigenous people. Racism is defined as a system of advantage
based on race a system that involves cultural messages and institutional policies or practices, as well
as the beliefs and actions of individuals (221). Rashad and Quinn throughout the text seek to answer
the question of race being the motive behind the brutal beating by Officer Paul Galluzzo. How is
counter storytelling used in All American Boys? All American Boys uses

Essay On Communicative Language Teaching
IV. Methods used in teaching vocabulary Introduction Teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) is
a process full of obstacles that lead the teachers regret due to the factors that inhibit a healthy learning
environment such as Affective filters and empowered by motivation. In seeking the best way to teach
a second or foreign language (L2) with the rising demand for language learning in a short period of
time, a wide variety of interpretations and applications have come up. Marckwardt (1972, p.5) called
this duration of searching for the best method of language teaching as changing winds and shifting
sands since every quarter of a century, a new approach appeared and each new approach or method
escaped from the old but took with it some of the positive aspects of the previous practice. 1.

KYCOM Personal Statement
Ever since I was little, I was raised to overcome simple cold without taking any medicine. The only
medicine that was provided to me was orange juice. It seemed very peculiar then. My parents would
tell me, Let your body do its own job. After many years of studying biology, anatomy, and toxicology,
I am continually fascinated by what our bodies are capable of. I realized our bodies are stronger and
smarter than we know; this has led me to apply for osteopathic medical education.
The University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine (KYCOM) has maintained
very strong, specific aims throughout many years. KYCOM emphasizes producing physicians who are

Thesis Statement For Funding Potential
Funding Potential Because of the interesting and innovative research findings with high commercial
value and sustainability, my research has strong funding potential. My research has some unique
criteria, (1) most of findings are patentable; (2) all products are organic; (3) applying biological
process for the first time to reduce greenhouse gases; (3) applying new technologies to use CO2 and
other greenhouse gases as a beneficial materials for the first time to produce new products; (4)

Collaboration, Education and Mentorship, and Outreach I believe that research is most rewarding
when it involves some level of collaboration and cooperation between multiple parties. Since my
research is a global issue, national and international collaboration is necessary. I have been fortunate
to collaborate with over a dozen labs and many institutions to date, including University of Munich
(Germany), Oxford University (UK), University of the Ryukyus (Japan) with different departments,
Rutgers University (USA) and University of Toronto (Canada) and these collaborations will be
continued after joining at the University of Montreal. My preferred approach to collaboration is to co
advise graduate students or postdocs with my collaborators; this allows the student or postdoc to be
embedded in the environmental field, while providing them with deep access to our professional
expertise. I have already trained and mentored many MS and PhD students during my tenures at the
above mentioned institutes. I am currently mentoring several graduate research projects, which
reflects my dedication to training the next generation in resolving the environmental problems. If I get
an opportunity to join at the University of Montreal, I would establish a new course on the projects
outlined above. Teaching on the problems of global

Case Study Of Possum Products
With the growth in demand for exotic foods, Possum Products s CEO Michael Munger is considering
expanding the geographic footprint of its line of dried and smoked low fat opossum, ostrich, and
venison jerky snack packs. However, Kevin Uram, the CFO, is concerned about thow an internal
expansion and the additional risk that entails will affect the firm s financial management process. In
this case study, the concepts discussed include reasons for global expansions, the major factors that
differentiates the financial management practices of multinational corporations from purely domestic
firms, exchange rates and convertibility of currencies, international monetary systems, and
international capital markets. Also, the differences in the average capital structure across different
countries, the problems faced by nultinational firms in capital budgeting, and the factors that need to
be considered in multinational working capital management are discussed.
Analysis
Historically, jerky products have performance well in the southern United States, but there are
indications of a growing demand for these unusual delicacies in Europe. Munger recognizes that the
expansion carries some risks such as possible low acceptance by the Europeans, so the expansion will
proceed in stages. First, setting up sales subsidiaries in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What is exchange rate risk? An exchange rate risk refers to exchange rate fluctuations which can affect
a firm s profits and trade. For example, the euro exchange rate was $0.87 in 2002 but risen to $1.28 in
2012, so the cost in dollars increased by 47.1% over the 10 year period. This increase hurts the export
of European products to the United States (Brigham Ehrhardt, 2014). Also, the volatility of exchange
rates incrases the uncertainty of the cash flows for a MNC. Because the cash flows are denominated in
many different currencies, the dollar equivalent value of the company s consoilidated cash flows also

Doubt Vs Certainty
Every decision a person makes is based on some level of certainty, whether low or high. Certainty and
doubt do not exist as opposites. The two ideas are based on level of belief, either low, in the case of
doubt, or high, in the case of certainty. They exist as equals, both being able to lead to failure and
success. One is not inherently better than the other; they both have the ability to lead to wild success
or unfortunate defeat. To be either certain or doubtful, a person must have a strong belief about a
subject; what that belief is does not matter as much as whether that belief is correct or inaccurate.
Because they exist as equals, a decision between the two should stem from how strong the evidence is
for each, and the strongest of this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The only way one can be sure in their beliefs is to have personally observed and made conclusions
based on this knowledge. This is something known well by every scientist of and provides the basis
for scientific theory. Louis Pasteur, pioneer of the germ theory in the 1850 s, was certain in the face of
an abundance of doubt. While the idea of tiny microscopic organisms causing disease may have
seemed absurd to his peers, Pasteur had made his own experiments and observations that gave him the
ability to be extremely certain about what is now an accepted fact; those who were doubtful did not
have any sort of real evidence to counter Pasteur. He was able to persevere with his confidence and
evidence, leading to major improvements in health. On the other hand, misplaced confidence in
scientific theories has caused severe issues for many societies. Long before Pasteur s ideas on germs,
many medical issues were said to be caused by an imbalance of four humors, made up chemicals that
we now know are not real. The cure to this imbalance was a process called bloodletting, literally the
draining of blood from the body. The people at the time were certain of this process. This certainty,
instead of leading to better health as with the case with Pasture s certainty, led to increased infections,
complications, and death. It was

Reasons For Japanese Internment
The Japanese internment mainly happened on the west coast of the United States it took place during
the World War II and there were a couple reasons why Americans interned the Japanese during WWII.
They interned because of their color/ appearance because there was only a population on 300,000
Japanese people on the west coast they also didn t have no access to anything. They did this because
of many obvious reasons. They were interned because the United States wanted to keep a look out as
they were all seen as bad people after the attack on Pearl Harbor. 3000,000 Japanese people being
interned, in each naval district there was about 250 to 300 suspects being spied on. 50 to 60 of each of
them were labeled as really dangerous.
Since there was only 300K Japanese people and they had no access to anything then the only thing
they could be was becoming a farmer, fisher man, small businessman. They had not access to plants or
intricate machinery. Or being an intern they made you work for the war effort, making them now a

And because they decided to segregate Japanese from the Americans. In 1906 The San Francisco

the only ones being highhanded but the government has not taken highhanded action against Germans

The Main Causes And Consequences Of World War II
World War II is the largest and most violent armed conflict in the history of mankind during the year
from 1939 to 1945. World War II is a general war involving multiple major parties like United States
or Germany. It resulted in serious consequences, with massive loss of life and widespread destruction
all over the world. I will explain the reason why World War II broke out using three layers individuals,
state and society, and international system.
There is a quote said by Sir Thomas More: The common folk do not go to war of their own accord, but
are driven by the madness of kings . In World War II, the individual that contributed to the outbreak of
the war is Adolf Hitler, the Nazi leader of Germany. There are some main features in the personality of
Hitler, including disposition to exploit and manipulate others and also a lack of empathy with human.

Axis power also pursued expansionist politics to build up their relative power positions. They
cooperate with each other due to a common interest, which is territorial expansion and foundation of
empires based on military conquest and the overthrown of the post World War I international order.
There are many states in The Axis involving in World War II, however, excluding Germany, I believe
only Japan was the one that guaranteed the war to be happened Japan Major parties excluding

Compare And Contrast The Temple Of Aphaia
The Temple of Aphaia displays two dying warriors. One is located in the west pediment and the other
is located in the east pediment. Despite this, both statues have a very contrasting style. On the west
pediment, the warrior has an arrow embedded in his chest which causes him to fall with grace in this
unnatural way. The warrior is smiling and is in a modeling posture rather than a realistic one.
However, the warrior on the east pediment seems more realistic as it s seen in the appropriate position
for someone who is near death. The reason for this is because it has been said that the pediment from
the west was created 10 years earlier than the one from the east, which is why the one built first is
traditionally archaic while the other is in

Military Actions Of The American Civil War
Throughout history the effectiveness of specific military actions have been debated and discussed.
Military tacticians and scholars have pondered the overall completion of objectives and the
comprehensive values presented by the action. This debate has occurred for many of the actions taken
in the American Civil War. In terms of achievement the March to the Sea was one of the most
effective military actions of the Civil War. Historians may debate the level of destruction that union
soldiers imposed on the civilian populace during the march, but Sherman s desire to rip the heart out
of the Confederate war effort succeeded. General William Tecumseh Sherman understood the
effectiveness of bringing home the war to the people of the south. He understood how to make an
impact on the southern desire to continue the fight. Sherman s march affected the southern psyche and
damaged the will to fight, while destroying valuable supplies and material.
In late 1864 the American Civil War was still grinding on. Since 1861, hundreds of thousands of
Americans had been fighting each other in bloody battles all across the country. The confederates were
becoming more desperate but still had a great deal of fight left in them. They were losing supplies and
manpower but the war could drag on for years. The battles had developed into a war of attrition that
may have lasted for many more years. A northern general that understood this, and knew a way to
hasten the war s end, was William Tecumseh

The North Anatolian Fault ( Naf ) ( Fig )
The North Anatolian Fault (NAF) (Fig. 1) in northern Turkey is a significant, seismically active
structure (e.g. Barka 1992; Sengor et al. 2005). The NAF is a 1200 km long dextral strike slip fault
which extends from the town of Karliova in eastern Turkey, paralleling the southern coast of the Black
sea, across the Northern Aegean Sea, central and mainland Greece, eventually linking with the
Hellenic subduction zone (e.g. Barka 1992; Barka et al. 2000; Sengor et al. 2005). The NAF is part of
a larger zone of deformation called the North Anatolian Shear Zone (NASZ), but currently seismic
activity is largely confined to the narrow, mostly through going NAF (Sengor et al. 1985; Sengor et al.
2005). The NAF lies along the boundary between ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By contrast, much of the central part of Anatolia shows little difference in rotation vectors away from
the NAF, suggesting movement as a coherent block (McClusky et al. 2000). As such, the movement of
the Anatolian block is best approximated as anticlockwise rotation about two poles, one near
Damascus for eastern Anatolia and one north of the Nile Delta for the western/central block (Fig 1.)
(Barka et al. 2000; McClusky et al. 2000). The NAF is located at the boundary between Tethyan
accretionary complexes to the south and rigid basement to the north, forming along a zone of
weakness in the E/W trending Tethyan sutures (Sengor et al. 1985; Sengor et al 2005). Though highly
irregular, Tethyan accretionary complexes in northern Turkey generally widen from east to west
(Sengor et al. 2005). Deformation associated with the eastern half part the NAF, near Erzincan and
~150 200km westward, is concentrated to a narrow zone along the fault, roughly 10km or less in
width (Sengor et al. 2005). The zone of deformation from the NAF and NASZ widens as the fault
continues westward, and splits into a northern and southern strand near the Sea of Marmara (Fig. 1)
(Barka et al. 1992, Sengor et al. 2005). The western widening of the accretionary complexes through
which the fault runs is a possible explanation the widening of the fault zone in these areas. Sense of

Many of them were very unpleasant and for sure dangerous for the patient itself. One sources noted
that: Up until the late 1800s, most surgeries were done at patient s home. (Venezia 14) At that time,
sanitation wasn t popular . Many doctors or we may say, most of them, were performing their
procedure even without washing their hands. According to source, Daniel Hale Williams, surgeon who

germs caused infections. Some doctors would probe wound with unwashed hands and operate while
wearing street clothes that weren t sterile. (Venezia17) That only proves again that mortality among

Hospital, understood that to decrease complications after each surgery, a new habit of washing hands,
before and after procedure, needed to be enforced immediately. It was supposed to prevent from

Identity And Access Management (Iam) Is A Vital Part Of
Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a vital part of any organization s security. Quite often, it is
overlooked or not deemed important enough to invest in. It is very important for all employees, new
and existing, to be given the proper access to the resources they need, and to be restricted from

Passwords should not contain dictionary words. Most passwords must be at least eight characters long
and use two or more of the above character types. Longer and more complex passwords make

of a person s iris, or the blood vessels in a person s eye in order to make a positive identification. Both
methods are usually used for access to physical assets. Both eye

  • 6. My Trip At The Airport It was a Sunday evening when my parents told us we were going on a trip. My younger brother Charlie and I were so excited since we ve never been out of the country before. We would be gone for only a week so I had to fit in as much as possible, I wanted to see all the history and culture this small country offered. I did all my research on it before we left and I even taught myself common terms. The day we left was a day I will never forget; I remember sitting at the airport shaking my leg like crazy because I was so eager to go. Flying there felt like forever but, the moment I saw the prodigious green mountains, I was astonished. We wanted to take the Golden circle. It s basically a route in South Iceland covering some of the major landmarks. The next day we woke up pretty early so we could accomplish the whole route by the end of the day. The first place we headed for was the geyser in Haukadalur. It didn t take that long to get there, it was actually very beautiful on the way. It was all open land and mountains. The Geyser was incredible. It was a huge piece of brown land, like mud, with a giant hole in the middle. The hole was filled with water that boiled for about 10 minutes and then erupted through the ground at nearly 40 m high. After we stood there watching it erupt probably 3 times, we decided to go to our next stop: Þingvelli National park. It was one of the most breathtaking places I d ever seen. There were huge black rock formations with slightly green grass covering certain areas. Small streams ran through the whole thing. We hiked through a lot of it before we went to the Gullfoss Waterfall. It wasn t like any other waterfall. It was a waterfall on top of another waterfall. It stretched out far and you could see the glistening of a rainbow form on top of it. We walked along the trail beside it getting splashed with water. I just couldn t believe my eyes. • 7. The Success of Stephanie Meyer Essay I d never given much thought to how I would die, but dying in the place of someone I love seems like a good way to go. Those are the famous words that started it all, The Twilight Saga Phenomenon. The Twilight Saga consists of four novels: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. Stephanie Meyer, author of the popular saga, majored in English literature at Brigham Young University. After graduating in 1997, Meyer chose to be a stay at home mother to her three sons. The concept of the whole saga came to her in a dream one night. When she woke up, she took a pen and paper and documented everything that occurred in her dream. She then based all four novels on that dream because she had a gut feeling that it was going to make a great ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... No one besides her sister knew that she was writing a novel, little known at the time, but the masterpiece known as Twilight. Since Meyer is a mother of three, and is busy with her kids needs and wants all day, she would take time late at night to work on writing her novel. And in three short months, she completed Twilight, regardless of her insignificant amount of experience in writing. In all four works, Bella Swan in the protagonist. The story is centered around her life. All four books are written in her perspective. Meyer usually tends to write all her stories as first person narratives, including books that are not related to the Twilight Saga like The Host. When Meyer writes, she becomes completely engrossed in the characters. The main reason why she writes is because of the characters she creates. She envisions them in her brain. She talks to them all day, and they talk back. Coming up with the perfect names for the two main characters was a very tough process. She wanted a name that was popular decades ago, but at the same time, she wanted a name that was romantic for the vampire. Since Meyer grew up reading Charlotte Bronte and Jane Austen, she used the characters Mr. Ferrars and Mr. Rochester from their works as an inspiration; thus leading her to choose the name Edward. After coming up with the names for the twosome, and was still in the process of creating their story, they would constantly talk to her. She heard their voices all day, so Meyer would ... • 9. Introduction. The Forward Premium Puzzle Can Be Referred Introduction The forward premium puzzle can be referred to as the forward premium anomaly in the capital markets. A forward premium can be described as a situation where the future exchange or the spot future exchange trades at higher spot exchange rate compared to the domestic currency. Using descriptive measures, the forward premium can be measured as the difference between the forward rates. The prevailing spot rate and which also includes the domestic currency is expected to increase when the domestic interest rates (nominal) surpasses foreign interest rates (Lane, and Milesi‐Ferretti, 2011). Individuals with relatively selective information about the quality of a product will selectively participate in trades which benefit them the most, at the expense of the other trader. Forward contracts cannot be traded in the exchange markets. Therefore, standard amounts of currency are not traded in these forms of agreements. The only way they can be cancelled is when both parties collectively agree. These parties involved in the contract are mostly interested in hedging a foreign exchange position or even taking a speculative position. The parties with little the information are worried about rigged trades, which occur when the party who has all the information uses it to their advantage. This diminishes the volume of trade in the market. In this case, the person who is subjected to adverse selection can protect himself by screening customers or by identifying credible signals of appetite. Contingency Planning And Its Effects On The Environment Koslo Ford Contingency Planning 4 17 16 Contingency Planning The worldwide outage caused by the electromagnetic pulse due to the solar storm would affect most of the operations that take place globally (Davis, 2003). Since internationalization entails interdependence with other countries, it implies that the world will be at a standstill. The economic processes, social and political activities will stagnate. However, suppose the world becomes aware of the catastrophe, governments and different social institutions in various countries would employ some contingencies that will enable them to continue thriving. Various changes will occur in the social life, and most of them would be inclined to the downside. For instance, the health sector will be at mess because most hospitals use power in the modern world, leading to the decline in the health services. The education sector is also not an exception. The digitalization of learning systems in the civilized society made learning easier. Since the systems use power, education will also be altered. Thus, the outage will paralyze the learning activities globally. Davis (2003) argues that the worldwide shortage of power will also cause unemployment to people who work in power driven companies. Since they operate and rely on electricity and digitalized communication systems, their production processes will stop, leading to their closure, and cause people to who used to work there lose their jobs. Throughout many centuries, we have seen the devastation and heartache brought into our lives by the continuous negativity and hate surrounding vicious war attacks. Today I am here to give you an insight into the way that poets through history have used war as a meaningful way source of literature to change and influence the lives of others. The poets in which we will be looking at, are Wilfred Owen and Rupert Brooke. Owen and Brooke were both poets writing during the First World War with poems containing the themes of war. They both have very different perspectives on the topic. In both Owen s poems Dulce et decorum Est and insensibility, he highlights the horror and terrifying experiences seen in first hand from his own experience of being a soldier of war. Both these poems give the reader a sense of fear and unfamiliarly by explaining the pain and suffering endured throughout the war. He also expresses his own feelings about how dying at war for your country is not as honourable and glorious as it seems , he believes that no matter the cause of a soldiers death , it s very painful and disheartening to all those around. While on the other hand in Brooke s poem, The Soldier gives off the impression that dying in war and battle for one s country is a very honourable and glorious time. If a variable has a horizontal straight line of residual, it has no effect on the response and should be removed from the linear model, specifically the porosity variable. Figure ~ref{fig:sa1_lm} shows the basic diagnostic plots for the full linear model. The residuals vs. fitted plot is used to determine if the linear relationship between the predictors (parameters) and outcome factors are captured by the model. An accurate model will have a residuals vs. fitted plot with a horizontal line with residuals above and below it without forming a pattern or grouping, as seen in the top left plot. Moreover, the normal Q Q plot, shown in the top right plot, is used to determine if the residuals are normally distributed. A good normal distribution will have a normal Q Q plot which follows a straight line, as do our results. Furthermore, the Scale Location plot shows if the residuals are spread equally along all ranges of the predictors. Ideally, the residuals should be randomly spread across all fitted values and not tend to one area, as ours do in the bottom left plot. I found this quote by American columnist Erma Bombeck about a month into my first semester at The Ohio State University. I liked it a lot. So much that I wrote it in sprawling letters on the dry erase board that I had been using to scribble my motivational quote of the week and I never erased it. I could not have known at the time how Erma s words would transform from something my roommate and I would say flippantly about bad first dates and failed quizzes, into a philosophy that would carry me through four years of studies and shape the person I am today. I needed laughter desperately during those first few months of college. My grades were bad, my family was in crisis, I felt friendless and alone and I did not know who I was or what I was doing. Those first few months felt like I was stumbling through a dark an unfamiliar room, looking for lamp to turn on. Stumbling through that darkness I eventually found myself in the basement of a university building auditioning for Fishbowl Improv. I had come to fishbowl auditions on a whim. Bijan, the boy who lived across the hall, told me I should try out with him, and so I did. Nobody was more surprised that I was when I got the call that I made it in. Historically, LGBT people have had to deal with being brutalised and misunderstood because of the misconception that being gay is different and deserves different treatment. The purpose of the following analysis is to deconstruct how people who fought back while growing up realizing they are apart of community help shaped and/or will shape them to become strong roles for LGBT people around the world. In this paper, I will examine how women of color who deal with the lack of acceptance growing up because of their lesbianism help shape and/or will shape them to be future role models for LGBT people around the world. Reasons For Japanese Internment The Japanese internment mainly happened on the west coast of the United States it took place during the World War II and there were a couple reasons why Americans interned the Japanese during WWII. They interned because of their color/ appearance because there was only a population on 300,000 Japanese people on the west coast they also didn t have no access to anything. They did this because of many obvious reasons. They were interned because the United States wanted to keep a look out as they were all seen as bad people after the attack on Pearl Harbor. 3000,000 Japanese people being interned, in each naval district there was about 250 to 300 suspects being spied on. 50 to 60 of each of them were labeled as really dangerous. Since there was only 300K Japanese people and they had no access to anything then the only thing they could be was becoming a farmer, fisher man, small businessman. There were no German or Italians put into such camps like the Japanese I wouldn t agree nor disagree with Japanese internment because we had some good reasons to put them into concentration camps but them having a different skin colors than the Americans, Germans, and Italians should be no reason for that. World War II is a general war involving multiple major parties like United States or Germany. It resulted in serious consequences, with massive loss of life and widespread destruction all over the world. I will explain the reason why World War II broke out using three layers individuals, state and society, and international system. There is a quote said by Sir Thomas More: The common folk do not go to war of their own accord, but are driven by the madness of kings . In World War II, the individual that contributed to the outbreak of the war is Adolf Hitler, the Nazi leader of Germany. There are some main features in the personality of Hitler, including disposition to exploit and manipulate others and also a lack of empathy with human. Despite this, both statues have a very contrasting style. On the west pediment, the warrior has an arrow embedded in his chest which causes him to fall with grace in this unnatural way. The warrior is smiling and is in a modeling posture rather than a realistic one. However, the warrior on the east pediment seems more realistic as it s seen in the appropriate position for someone who is near death. The reason for this is because it has been said that the pediment from the west was created 10 years earlier than the one from the east, which is why the one built first is traditionally archaic while the other is in ... • 34. Military Actions Of The American Civil War Throughout history the effectiveness of specific military actions have been debated and discussed. Military tacticians and scholars have pondered the overall completion of objectives and the comprehensive values presented by the action. This debate has occurred for many of the actions taken in the American Civil War. In terms of achievement the March to the Sea was one of the most effective military actions of the Civil War. Historians may debate the level of destruction that union soldiers imposed on the civilian populace during the march, but Sherman s desire to rip the heart out of the Confederate war effort succeeded. General William Tecumseh Sherman understood the effectiveness of bringing home the war to the people of the south. He understood how to make an impact on the southern desire to continue the fight. Sherman s march affected the southern psyche and damaged the will to fight, while destroying valuable supplies and material. In late 1864 the American Civil War was still grinding on. Since 1861, hundreds of thousands of Americans had been fighting each other in bloody battles all across the country. The confederates were becoming more desperate but still had a great deal of fight left in them. They were losing supplies and manpower but the war could drag on for years. The battles had developed into a war of attrition that may have lasted for many more years. A northern general that understood this, and knew a way to hasten the war s end, was William Tecumseh ... The NAF is a 1200 km long dextral strike slip fault which extends from the town of Karliova in eastern Turkey, paralleling the southern coast of the Black sea, across the Northern Aegean Sea, central and mainland Greece, eventually linking with the Hellenic subduction zone (e.g. Barka 1992; Barka et al. 2000; Sengor et al. 2005). The NAF is part of a larger zone of deformation called the North Anatolian Shear Zone (NASZ), but currently seismic activity is largely confined to the narrow, mostly through going NAF (Sengor et al. 1985; Sengor et al. 2005). By contrast, much of the central part of Anatolia shows little difference in rotation vectors away from the NAF, suggesting movement as a coherent block (McClusky et al. 2000). As such, the movement of the Anatolian block is best approximated as anticlockwise rotation about two poles, one near Damascus for eastern Anatolia and one north of the Nile Delta for the western/central block (Fig 1.) (Barka et al. 2000; McClusky et al. 2000). The NAF is located at the boundary between Tethyan accretionary complexes to the south and rigid basement to the north, forming along a zone of weakness in the E/W trending Tethyan sutures (Sengor et al. 1985; Sengor et al 2005). Though highly irregular, Tethyan accretionary complexes in northern Turkey generally widen from east to west (Sengor et al. 2005). Deformation associated with the eastern half part the NAF, near Erzincan and ~150 200km westward, is concentrated to a narrow zone along the fault, roughly 10km or less in width (Sengor et al. 2005). The zone of deformation from the NAF and NASZ widens as the fault continues westward, and splits into a northern and southern strand near the Sea of Marmara (Fig. 1) (Barka et al. 1992, Sengor et al. 2005). If the wrong access is given, an employee can either accidentally or intentionally change or destroy company data. Furthermore, a weak IAM policy leaves an organization open to external attacks.
