A Walk in the Park A ways away from a town that I call home, I found a happy place. I often find
myself walking through the park by myself. The beautiful trees, the way the yellow and red leaves
crumple under my feet every step I take. When the flowers bloom and how it s the most spectacular
sight you could ever imagine seeing, all the different colors that appear. When you breathe in and you
get this smell of purity, you feel free and alive. Sometimes I like to sit on the old wooden bench where

fall off tree after tree flying like butterflies, all different colors. When they stopped, they immediately
died and they were not coming back alive again. Piled leaves filled up under trees and children ran and
jumped on them like they were pillows. These trees tripled the height of humans with numerous
branches holding hundreds of leaves. While walking the river flows and it is such a beautiful view
with the sun shining right off of it. The ducks and little birds chirping and floating through the smooth
water puts a joy to my face. I found a rest area with a bench and by it was a fountain. The ripple of
water and the singing that the birds formed made it peaceful to sit there and study the fountain. Just

I attended an Art Talk platform event, led by an artist driven nonprofit organization called New
Orleans Airlift . The interpretation was done by Brenda Prudhom who is nationally certified with her
NIC, and the other interpreter was a student intern. Upon arriving to the event, I realized the
interpreter wasn t interpreting until the event officially started. So when the presenters were walking
around the front talking about when the event will start, she was not interpreting any of that. She
informed me, this is because those conversations were private and the event also had not begun yet.
Also, there was only one Deaf person at the event, and they didn t show up until about half way

Also, Brenda did a fantastic job at providing support to the intern. Whenever she provided him with
support, it was not distracting at all, it was barely noticeable. However, I could not see what was
exactly being provided when Brenda was signing, because I was sitting directly behind her. So, I was

Angell s functionalism aimed to apply psychology and its methods to real life problems however the
problem with both structuralism and functionalism was that the methods were not reliable and
introspection was considered to be a problem rather than a solution.
Psychology could not convince people of its usefulness and practical problem and the founder of
behaviorism John Watson believed that both structuralism and functionalism were subjective and
introduced behaviorism as objective. (Moore ,2011) which was considered to be a transformation from
one phase of science to another . (Gardner ,1985)
