The document provides details on Imogen Minto's pre-production process for creating magazine covers, CD covers, and tour posters. It includes categorizing reference images, choosing fonts, creating layout designs, selecting a model and clothing, planning a photo shoot location, and contingencies. A schedule is outlined over 8 days, beginning with layout designs and ending with final proofreading. Resources needed include PowerPoint, social media, wardrobes, cameras, and Photoshop. Potential issues addressed are computer/eye strain, illness, lost photos, and safety precautions.
3. Style Sheet
• I have put the images in theses categories, as you can see I have the magazines
on the right side, then the cd covers are in the centre of the page leaving the
tour posters to the left side of the page. The reason to why I have done this is
so I can have a variety of different existing products on the page to see which
design I like the most to give me some ideas to what I would like to see and if
it will work with my products. I also collected these specific images because of
the colours how they are all pastels which is what I wanting my products to
have. Mainly with the magazines you can see that to get what these images
have are that they’re using studios with the clear background so when they
come to editing the photos they get to choose what background to have. With
this technique I’m wanting that for my products as it will make it an easier
experience for me along with wanting to have a bold colour in the background.
• The equipment that they used in these images are camera’s, more than one
just in case one runs out of battery so they have a backup one. They will also
use good lighting to make the model stand out so when placing her image
onto the cover it will stand out along with the editing they will do along with
it.
4. Font Sheet
Papaya Sunrise
I Found My Valentine
Home Planet BB
Typolino
Gogono Cocoa Mochi
Out of these fonts I have chosen these ones because I feel like they all
look different which is what I liked about them, as they have different
looks for the magazine I am wanting to go with. For example the one
with the yellow box around it which is called ’Papaya Sunrise’ I like this
one as its clear to read , however I find that if you stretched this font it
would look stretched which I don’t want as I’m wanting it vertical on
the magazine and to look natural.
With the next font in the orange box, which is called ‘Home Planet BB’
with this one I like this one as well because its more spread out than
the other one and its also clear to read so it will attract people
because its simple but still looks nice at the same time.
The next one that is in the green box which is called ‘I Found My
Valentine’ I find with this one that its too squished together so when
it comes to doing my product it might look too stretched out when it
comes to make it fit the page and it won’t look realistic so I don’t
know if this one will work very well, however I like it as it is clear to
read because its bold.
The next box that is blue is called ’Typolino’ I like this one as its
already stretched out so it won’t look like I have stretched it out
when it’s on the magazine. I also feel like it looks smart as it’s a simple
font but still looks unique compared to the other fonts as the other
ones have some similarities.
With the last box, which is called ’Gogono Cocoa Mochi’ I used this
one for my experiments and I liked the way it looked, however
because I used it for the experiment I would like to pick a different
font to change my magazine up.
5. Font Sheet
Typolino
Gogono Cocoa Mochi
Home Planet BB
These 3 fonts are my favourite, this is because i can see
what they would look like on my products, on the last slide
I already described the purple box, that I used it in my
experiments so I have seen what it looked like and that I
would like to use another font to see what else looks good.
I have kept ‘Gogono Cocoa Mochi’ with the other 2 I would
like to use. So if the other fonts don’t work the way I would
like to use it for, then I know that I can go back to ‘Gogono
Cocoa Mochi’.
I feel with ’Typolino’ and ‘Home Planet BB’ they have the
look I would like as I am wanting the word ‘Shuffle’ to be
vertical on the page and because it’s longer on the side I’m
wanting it to be able to look ok and not all scrunched up. I
feel with ‘Home Planet BB’ might not work on the side as
well as ‘Typolino’ as Typolino is already spread out it might
work better than Home Planet as it might look stretched.
Overall I feel the one that I might go with is ‘Typolino’ as it
might work the best as I’ve already explained. However I
am going to see what they both look like on the layouts to
see which one works the best.
6. Layout 1
This font is the one I
preferred which is
‘Typolino’ because I feel
like it fits a lot better as
the font already looks
like it was stretched on
purpose.
I would then add text on
the magazine to make it
look more of an
magazine, talking about
the model and exciting
things that brings people
to find out more.
Include cd to the
magazine. Add that on
the cover on the final
product.

7. Layout 2
With this font, which is
called ‘Home Planet
BB’, I find that the font
looks like its been
stretched and doesn't
look as good as I want
it to be. It also doesn't
fit the whole side of
the magazine where I
would like it to fit like
‘Typolino’ as that fits
the whole side of the
page.
Will add more text
when it comes to my
final product.
8. Layout 3
Tour poster..
Will have text on dates and where the tour is…
Picture(s)
Will have more detail on
the tour poster giving
information on where
and how much it all at
the bottom of the page
or if I find another way
of displaying it.
9. Layout 2
• Cd cover
Not sure if I want to
have a picture of the
model I’m using on
the front with the
name ‘Shuffle’ or
just have the name
of my products.
I like the way this
looks so I might see
If this will work with
my photos.
10. Props & Locations
Props/Costume needed Locations needed
Will need to have clothing that is bright
mainly pastel colours.
Either my clothes or the model I will be
using.
11. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
The computer might stop working that might
slow you down on what you’re doing along with
it not saving.
Make sure your computer has a break so it can
cool down to stop it from overheating. Keep
saving your work after you finish something, so if
your computer stops working then it will be
saved from your last point.
Could get backache from sitting on the chair for
too long specially if its not at the right height or
its not a comfy chair it could start to hurt your
back after a while.
Keep taking breaks after you’ve completed
something that you’re proud of. Buy a comfier
chair to support your back or make sure you’re
sat on it properly and it being the right height.
Might get eye strain from looking at the screen
for too long or having to focus on something that
might need more concentration.
Take a break from the computer so your eyes can
look at something else than a screen. Can also
reduce the brightness on the computer to will
help you from getting eye strain.
Can possibly get ill that might delay you on your
work. Like headaches.
Keep drinking water as much as possible, which
might help along with eating healthier foods that
might make you more awake.
Could lose your memory card with all the photos
you took.
Make sure you have a backup, maybe keep them
on your device you took them on just incase.
12. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
May possibly cause problems from not
adjusting your chair correctly to the right height
or the chair might be the wrong size.
Make sure you adjust your chair to the correct
height and you’re sat on it correctly to stop that
from happening.
Looking at the screen for too long might get
eye strain can cause damage to yourself.
Adjust the brightness on the screen on the
computer to stop the computer screen from
hurting your eyes.
Could possibly spill drinks or foods around or on
the computer causing it to break.
Make sure you eat and drink on your breaks
the variety of time unless you want to drink
some water while you’re working.
13. Schedule

for the theme I’m wanting to do.
