I am going to base my colour scheme

and pink I will make my font colours

I want the front cover to
be an upper body shot of
the model mainly focusing
on her face like this; As
you won’t see much how
what they are wearing in
the the shot I will have
them wear bold and
unique accessories that
stand out. As for my color
scheme I will decide that
depending on what colors
the model is wearing.
For my first double page
spread which will be about
the main model I will set it
out like I have in my mock
experiment has I think it
stands out yet it is also very
simple.
As for the rest of my pages I
want them to be a little more
complicated with more
images and less text and
unique lay outs.
3. Front Cover Layout
I want my front cover to be laid
out the same way as my mock
cover is, I’m happy with the fonts
of the texts and the style, I’m also
happy by how they are placed.
My color scheme will be different
has red and blue does not fit the
style of fashion I have picked,
however I will still base my color
scheme on what the model is
wearing and make sure the text is
readable.
I certainly want my model to be in
the foreground and be in front of
the masthead as I feel like that is
a stereotypical thing for
magazines to do as they are so
confident that people know who
they are that they don’t need to
show the full masthead. Another
thing about the masthead I want
is to have to fade away like it does
in my experimental one.
At first I didn’t like the barcode
being on the front cover,
however I’m glad it is there as it
does fill up that empty space at
the bottom.
I overall love how this is set out
and I’m going to settle on this
layout, I like everything about it
and think everything goes
together and fits well with one
another, there isn’t too much
going on but there is also some
simplicity going on as well.
4. Double Page Layout
I have already talked about how I want my first two
pages to look like this as the model on the front is
my main talking point, however for my other two
pages (page 4 and 5) I want them to look like this…

I want all my pages to have a similar color scheme so
they all link up and have one thing in common, I also
think this will make my magazine look aesthetically
pleasing. The layout is different and eye catching, I will
had slightly more text maybe but I do want the main
topic of the article to be in the certain like so. I also
want the two black lines in the same place but maybe
not the same color depending on the color scheme of
my magazine.
9. Models
Amy
She will be my main talking point, model
and interviewee in my magazine.
On the front cover Amy will be wearing
some kind of red top with little to no
make up on at all, she will also have her
hair down, she will look very natural. Amy
will either be looking up to her left or
looking directly at the camera, the camera
will be in a mid shot position focusing on
her face as she is being treated as a
famous model.
Pages 1 & 2 will be all about Amy, I will
talk about her life style, her past, how she
got into modelling etc. On the left hand
side it will just be Amy sitting down, her
body will be facing the left but she will be
making direct eye contact with the
camera, I want to try and get as much of
her outfit in as I can. The text will be
surrounding her and will fade into
another colour depending on what she is
wearing.
Jade
She will be featured on pages 3 & 4 as
she will be showing off multiple outfits
as a whole.
On page 3 it will be a full body shot of
Jade wearing the most fashionable
outfit on the page, however her face
won’t be included in this image as I
want the audience to focus on her
outfit more. There will be small
amounts of text surrounding her
informing the reader where to buy the
outfit from and the price of the produce
itself.
Page 4 will include smaller images of
Jade modelling different items of
clothing separately, for example I will
take a photo of the shoes she is wearing
and talk about the material, price,
where to buy them and what outfits it
would go with and mention a blue
blouse or grey flared trousers and other
items of clothing that go with the
product.
Mia
Mia will be the model for my
advert, I will only be including
on advert in my magazine
however it will be on a double
page.
I want Mia to model
accessories, on the left hand
side on page 5 it will be a
close up shot from the side as
she is facing the right, she will
either be modeling a pair of
earrings or a set of rings in
the photo, either way the
jewelry has to be gold and the
background of the page has
to be an off white.
On the right hand side on
page 6 it will include different
gold jewelry laid out on a
blank surface so it blends in
with the background.
10. Content
Content How You Could Get It
Photographs Taking multiple photos of different people modelling different types
of clothing in different locations.
Articles Write about interesting topics that relate to fashion, accessories and
beauty.
Fonts Pick fonts that stand out and are easy to read, this is a common
thing for magazines as it makes the article stand out and make the
audience want to read about it, the similar the font the better as
more people will be able to read it.
Cover lines Cover lines have to be bold and stand out the most on the page, this
is so the audience know where to find certain topics easier and it
also grabs there attention and make them want to read about the
article.
Colour scheme Base my colour scheme on what the models are wearing, but also
make sure the text is readable, most magazines do this with what
their model is wearing as it makes the page simply look nicer.
Artistic touch For my artistic touch I will be adding shaped to separate the page up
a little and make it look more interesting for my audience, it also
helps to split the text into smaller sections so it looks like less
writing and easier to read.
11. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
The people I want to model might not be
available.
Tell them way before you want to take the
photos so they have to plan it out.
Photos could turn out blurry. Double check my photos and shoot them
again if something is wrong.
Haven’t taken enough photos. Take extra photos in case I do need more.
Losing work. Make sure I have backups of everything o I
don’t lose any work that I have done.
Internet issues. Save my work every time I change something
in case the mac crashes and I lose my
progress.
Adobe being down. Have all worked backed up on different
devices and a usb so I can move to a different
mac that works.
12. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Location. Make sure I am shooting in a safe location.
Weather. Check weather forecast and make sure it is a
clear day.
Outfits. The outfits have to be practical enough to
move around in so no one trips.
Fire. Have no drinks near any electrical equipment
and don’t do anything with fire.
Road. As I might be taking photos near a road I need
to be carful and watch out for cars.
