Some key strengths included conducting in-depth research on design styles appealing to the target audience, covering a variety of topics to interest more people, and creating a detailed mood board and production schedule. Weaknesses included not researching magazine layouts and content enough and not testing design ideas experimentally. The author concludes that addressing the weaknesses could have led to a higher quality final product that better appealed to the target audience.
Oliver Keppie evaluated his work on a fashion magazine project. He felt his research went well since he was already familiar with the subject of fashion. His planning was detailed and helped guide his production. He managed his time efficiently and felt he could have improved certain elements if given more time. Regarding technical and aesthetic qualities, Oliver aimed to achieve a fantasy style and used techniques like cutouts and reflections to create depth and realism. He believed the magazine would appeal to his target audience of 16+ males interested in fashion through its serious tone and focus on high-end brands.
Tom evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of his research, planning, and products. For his research, he felt analyzing existing products and audience feedback helped shape his work. However, his interview questions could have been more beneficial. In planning, he had a clear initial idea but didn't explore other options enough. His front cover and double page spread look professional, but he feels the website design still needs work to fully capture a professional website look and feel.
Tom Batty evaluated his research, planning, and production process for a magazine. For his research, he analyzed existing products and conducted audience surveys and interviews to inform his own design. While he provided good detail, he felt his last two product analyses and interview questions could have been stronger. For planning, he had a clear initial idea but didn't sufficiently explore alternatives. His experiments taught him skills but most weren't ultimately used. He created layouts but needed more variety. Overall he managed his time well but could have further improved elements given more time.
The document discusses the technical and aesthetic qualities of the student's work on designing promotional materials for a new energy drink called Irn-Bru 32. Technically, the student focused on layout, font choice, and use of effects like drop shadows. Aesthetically, consistent colors and fonts were used to maintain branding across materials. The student also experimented with images to convey the drink's energizing properties. There is opportunity for further developing special edition cans featuring athletes and exploring additional designs, fonts, and animated elements. In conclusion, the student feels their final pieces serve the intended purpose of promoting the drink.

- Further refinements like changing text and image placements and colors. Adding actual product images.
The document provides an overview of the progress made over 6 weeks in developing an interior design product. In week 1, the author decided to create an interior design book and focused on researching influences. They were worried about having enough interesting content. In week 2, they researched target audiences and created a survey to inform their content. Planning and pre-production occurred in weeks 3-5, including developing style guides. In week 6, the author created a schedule and made progress on a scale model for the book, while adjusting plans due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Leticia created the front and back covers of a book over 11 days. She chose a smaller size than A4 and created shapes on the front cover using frames. She researched images and fonts to use. On day 2, she changed the font to make the page look more sophisticated. She created side pages with her logo and added issue numbers. The back cover was left blank at first but she later added lines and her name. Over subsequent days she worked on content, section divider, and other interior pages, choosing fonts and colors to maintain consistency. She researched sourced images to include and made minor adjustments to improve pages.
This document provides an overview of Leticia Lopes' pre-production planning for an interior design magazine-style book. It includes sections on the overall idea for the book, proposed page layouts and designs, interviews with local interior designers to include, and copies of draft text for the book's philosophy section and introductions to different rooms. The pre-production planning demonstrates thorough consideration of the book's visual design, content, and how to engage and inspire readers.
This document is a weekly log by Leticia Lopes for her interior design product project. In week 1, she decides her product will be a magazine or book for young adults interested in interior design. She worries about having enough interesting content. In week 2, she researches influences and audiences to develop her ideas. She creates a survey to learn about her target audience. In week 3, she analyzes the survey results but realizes she needs more specific audience research. She will focus on tutorials to create a scale model for the project.
The document provides details about potential problems and solutions for a project by Leticia Lopes. It discusses backing up work by saving to multiple locations including OneDrive. It notes practical problems like working at home and potential software issues between college and personal laptop versions. Equipment needs like using the photography studio and ensuring camera storage and batteries are addressed. Theoretical problems around locations for photos if the scale model idea doesn't work and financing materials are covered. Health and safety concerns with building the model and potential printing options are also summarized.
The document discusses the author's interests in interior design and their experience studying creative media in college. They enjoyed learning about interior design and architecture in college and want to continue improving their skills and becoming a professional designer. College helped the author improve their communication skills and confidence as English is not their first language. They also gained job experience as a waitress. The author created several projects in college related to interior design and magazine publications. They are interested in specializing in interior architecture and design at university to pursue a career in that field.
Here are the key insights I gathered from your audience research:
- Your target audience is people ages 16 and older interested in interior design and architecture.
- The audience is split between male and female, so you'll want to use neutral colors and include a variety of interior design topics (bedrooms, kitchens, etc.) to appeal to both genders.
- The age range of your audience is mixed between teenagers and young adults, so you'll need content that interests people across those age groups. Interactive elements like pages for writing ideas could engage younger audiences.
- Bedrooms are the most popular room type among your audience, so focusing on bedroom design for things like your scale model photos would be relevant. However,

The document discusses the history and evolution of interior design from early humans decorating dwellings to the development of distinct styles like Scandinavian, eclectic, and mid-century modern. It also explores how interior design was influenced by ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans. In the early 20th century, Elsie de Wolfe published one of the first interior design books called "The House in Good Taste," helping establish interior design as a professional field. Today, interior design draws inspiration from various sources like magazines, TV shows, and books.
My product will be an informative book about attractions in York aimed at teenagers aged 14 to 24. It will use neutral colors and illustrations of York to appeal to all genders. The book will provide interesting facts about York's architecture, interior design, and history in an artistic format using geometric effects on the cover. To evaluate the book, I will collect feedback from the target audience to understand their opinions on what they like, dislike, and ways to improve the product.
The document summarizes the client's evaluation of their project to create a product about attractions in York. It discusses the key stages of research, planning, production, and evaluation. During research, the client analyzed existing magazines and surveys to understand their target audience of young adults. In planning, they decided on design elements and tested different ideas. For production, the client created silhouette illustrations of attractions on colored backgrounds, learning from books they had read. They reflected on similarities to other products and ways to improve audience appeal, such as adding more details and information.
The document summarizes the progress made over 4 weeks in creating an informative book about York. In week 1, the student created front and back covers featuring silhouette images of landmarks. In week 2, interior pages were started using the same silhouette style. Week 3 saw completion of the first interior page on the Shambles and starting a new page. Week 4 focused on finishing existing pages and beginning another, with the overall book taking shape through an consistent silhouette style and layout across pages.
This document discusses research conducted for a travel magazine targeted towards young adults aged 16-24 in York, England. Research included surveying the target audience to understand their interests in York and what places they would like to see featured. How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.

3. Research
While researching I was able to analyse existing products. They have
influenced my final idea, the colours and the idea of using light colours and
take outside pictures which actually has gave me a better result of what I was
planning. The pictures outside gave my product a good appearance as
matching with the season that I have chosen, spring and summer. Another
strength of researching is that I could evaluate my own audience’s suggestion
which helped me to decide specific parts of my product such as colours and
my magazine’s name. The research also helped me to see what my audience
was expecting to see in my magazine, colours and name, small things that
make a huge difference in my project. Another thing that has helped me
producing my work was the experiment, I was able to increase my skills by
doing something new that I haven’t tried before as editing photos or creating
new things. This has helped me develop new ideas so that I could be able to
edit my own pictures which I think has done a big difference in the pictures
on my product. A weakness of doing this is that the interviews didn’t give me
enough information about their opinion, this should give me an idea of what
that specific audience would be interested on.
4. Planning
Planning has definitely helped me to put all my ideas into one final piece. In
the style sheet I was able to collect different fonts, colours and images that
would be related to my product, this influenced my word by giving the pallet
of colours that I wanted to use which I think worked well. I used most of the
fonts that I have chosen in the website which is good, this helped me to
remember the exactly font that I liked instead of research again, for example I
used ‘Dita Sweet’ font in my front cover as my masthead, it matched perfectly
with my whole product. Another aspect that helped me was creating the
layouts, a base of how my product would look like which obviously had some
changes because I was making it looks better while creating. Creating the
layout is an important thing of planning because you can actually visualize
how it would be. The weakness of planning was that I didn’t take the pictures
in the locations that I planned or used any of the first pictures that I took
during the first shoot because it wasn’t going as I wanted. For example, I
wanted the pictures outside so that it would be more interesting and
appealing for the audience whereas taking pictures inside with neutral
colours. Another thing that happened was that I planned to take the pictures
and the weather didn’t collaborated, it was raining all days while my model
was available.
5. Time Management
I managed my time well; I was able to complete my work in time but I had
some issues while taking pictures which in the beginning has affected my
product. I had to take pictures of myself because my model wasn’t free and
the weather wasn’t collaborating as I wanted but at the end everything went
okay giving me a better result of my product. If I have additional time I would
definitively have improved the second double page spread by taking new
pictures that would make the pictures stand out from the background; in my
opinion this would make my product look more professional and interesting.
Another thing that I would improve is the content page that I wasn’t planning
to do but I did just as an additional page so that it could create the idea that it
is an actual magazine. In this page I would change the background colour and
I would spend more time creating it.
6. Technical and Aesthetic Qualities
I based my product in this existing magazine which
has colours and layout similar to my product. In the
existing product in the fonts, they have used different
colours and styles which has made the magazine
interesting and colourful. I have used the same idea
which in my opinion has gave my product an excellent
appearance, I think I should have changed more so
that it could have more colour instead of just white.
Another similarity is the way that both masthead are
positioned, behind the model’s picture. In both
magazines cover has a large cover line at the bottom,
in my product it would be nice to have it even bigger
so that the text could stand out more. The colours are
different, in the existing product the background is
darker and blurry whereas in my product has more
light colours. They have used bright colours as orange which is a colour that is quite strong and eye catching, in my
product I used neutral and pastel colour matching with the picture. In my product I should have used bold fonts so that
it could look better and readable for my audience; I would definitely improve this to give my magazine a better result.
Another difference of both products is the model’s pictures, the existing was taken as medium shot whereas in my
product is more close to the model’s face. I think my work is looking good as it look professional, I really liked the
colours that I have used, I tried to use the colours that would be matching with the picture and I think I have achieved
that. Another aspect that I liked of this cover was how the background helped the model’s image stand out. A
weakness of my product is that some of the cover lines could be more clear to make the reading easier for the
audience. I would also improve the background, make it blurry which would also help the text stand out.
7. Technical and Aesthetic Qualities
I found this existing product to compare with my own product,
they are quite different, the colours and the way that they took
the pictures and created the layout for example is different.
They used a whole picture to advertise the product whereas I
just took a close up photograph of my model’s hand holding the
perfume. A similarity between both products is that in the
advert the fonts and the colours are matching with the product.
In my product the colours from the background make the hand
and the perfume stand out giving it a good appearance which in
my opinion is making the product even more
interesting. A thing that I loved about this
page is that it matches perfectly with the
cover. Another thing that I liked about my
product is the colours in the back page it
helped the text’s colours stand out, this might
be my favourite page of this project.
8. Technical and Aesthetic Qualities
For this second page I used this existing content page
to inspire me while producing this, I wasn’t planning to
do this extra pages but I took the handbag picture in
the studio so I decided to use because it was a really
good picture. A similarity between both adverts
contains the name of the company to show the
audience where the bag is from. In both content pages,
the numbers are randomly positioned but separated by
types of articles whereas is fashion or beauty. A
difference between both products is that in my product
I used similar colours from the front cover so that it
could be more interesting for the reader. Whereas in
the existing page I wasn’t able to know exactly, but
they used primary colours as red, black and white.
In this page the thing that I loved the most was the
handbag because I had to change the logo stamped on
it, which I think I did well because it looks professional
and realistic. Another aspect that I found interesting
was the pastel colours that I started using in the cover
and kept trying to use in the rest of the pages. I would
definitely try to change the background colour because
I think it is too dark from what I wanted, this was the
issue that I would like to improve in the future.
9. Technical and Aesthetic Qualities
I found this existing product quite similar to my product, a
similarity from both pages is the layout for example, both
pictures are filling one side of the page. Another similarity is
the way that the masthead is positioned in the top of the
page which is easy to know what the article is about. The
colours are different, in the existing product they used basic
colour in their text; black. In my product I kept using the same
colour style that I used in the cover and in the content page.
The way that the photograph was taken are also different, in
the existing product they took a whole body picture whereas
in my product I took a medium shot of my model. I also added
a quote from the text in the other side of the page so that it
could look more interesting for the audience, they might want
to read the article by reading the quote.
In my opinion I think my product is creative and unique by
having the colours matching and the layout interesting for the
reader. I liked the way that the photograph fits with the page
and the colours mesh with the whole page. I think the
picture’s background could be lighter, to improve that I would
have to edit the image by using adjustments that allows me to
change the brightness and the levels of my picture. Another
aspect that I liked of this product was the quote in the side, I
think it adds the page making it complete and interesting. A
strength of my product is that the text is easy to read.
However, the background in the image is quite dark making
the text a bit hard to read.
10. Technical and Aesthetic Qualities
A difference of this products are pretty much the
colours, in the existing product they used only black
and white as the masthead was saying which
suggests that the page will bring black and white
clothes. In my product I tried to make the
background and the pictures match with summer
style taking pictures outside. The colour styles are
different but they also makes sense because the
existing article is about black and white clothing
whereas in my product is taking about summer
clothes. A similarity from both is that it has some
outfit’s ideas for the audience.
A thing that I liked the most in this product was the
background and the layout. I believe that an
improvement that would make it looks better is add
more text in the empty space that has on it. This
would make the page look more interesting for my
audience. I would also try to take pictures in front of
some flowers so that it could stand out a bit from the
background. I would also improve the writing
because some of the texts doesn't make much sense
as I don’t have much experience writing an article
about fashion and this could also be a weakness
about it.
11. Audience Appeal
I have appealed my audience by making
my product based on what they have
chosen in the survey. They helped me for
example to decide the name of the
magazine which I think was an important
aspect of it. My target audience are female
between 14 to 24 years old. I’ve made a
fashion magazine with contents that would
make them feel interesting to buy or read
the magazine. I think they also might be
interested on reading the articles because
of the subject that I’ve chosen to write. In
the interview the audience might want to know what exactly the article is about because of
how the quote is highlighted in the page. I’ve also extracted from the text to use a different
quote in the cover, this makes the magazine look even more interesting which in my opinion
I’ve achieved that. The content page helps the audience to know what exactly the
magazine’s content for this month. I have also appealed my audience by making the second
article based on their decision in the survey; they’ve chosen fashion trends as their favourite
content in a magazine.
13. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– It looks incredibly realistic in terms of professional fashion magazines. It has
that sleek and smooth look to it that most people cannot achieve with similar
projects.
– The front page looks incredibly good and features a great layout. The colour
scheme is consistent throughout.
– The Photoshopping in the adverts for various products fit in seamlessly,
making them genuinely believable.
– I really enjoy the colours throughout the entire piece.
– The fonts really suit the overall feel and style of the magazine itself. Adds an
element of continuity running through the pages.
– The articles are really well set out across the double page spreads, I think that
they are one of the strongest points of the piece.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
– I feel that the contents page could have been laid out in a chronological order,
as that tends to be how professional magazines are structured.
– I think that the writing could have been better and maybe even more casual as
articles tend to be nowadays.
– The contents page is dark and not very contrasting. The grey doesn’t mesh
well with the rest of the product and is a completely different tone.
14. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– The colours used on the front cover perfectly emulate a summer vibe and the font
style used on the front cover feels light and breezy.
– The main article is clearly related to the front cover and is set out like a
conventional magazine, making it seem real and professional.
– The advertisements used throughout fit the magazines theme very well and also
seem professional. They are also very well incorporated within the magazine and
aren’t jarring.
– The articles in the double page spreads is quite professional and seems realistic.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Some of the writing on the main article is a bit close together making it hard to read.
– The ‘summers lovers’ article could have a little more writing I to fill up space as it looks a
little bare.
15. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I really like the layouts of each of the double page spread and the fact that
they are all laid out differently.
– I also really like the fonts and the effect used on them, for example the
shadow effect on ‘Pozzi’ on the front cover, it also fits in well with the
colour theme of white and pink.
– The image used are very well edited when it came to making products into
their own brand, like the ‘Jamie Holland’ perfume and bag. I think this
really make the magazine stand out and look more professional instead of
using existing brands.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Possibly the pictures on the content’s page could have been a bit lighter
– A bit more article text on the third DPS.
16. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
– I agree that the grey background in the content’s page
doesn’t match with the rest of the page.
– I also agree that the numbers in the content page should
be chronological but I made it different so that it could
help the audience find the specific pages.
– I think that the writing in the first double page spread is a
bit closer.
– In the last double page spread could have more writing.
• What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
– I disagree that the writing should be more casual, the
magazine is for teenagers and young adults.
17. Peer Feedback Summary
I would change the background colour in the content page because it isn’t giving the
page a good appearance and it’s not matching the rest of the pages. I think if the page
was white or any light colour would be more interesting and appealing to my
audience. In the content page I would also put the numbers in chronological order so
that it could look more professional, I didn’t like much the result of the page because I
think it could be better, the colours, the layout and the contents as well. I liked the
most the adverts that I made in this project, I think it helps the magazine looks even
more interesting, specially the back page that somehow match with the cover.
I would also improve the writing in all pages because I think it’s quite repetitive and
doesn’t have much to talk about as I don’t have much experience writing up an article
about fashion industry. I could also give more space between the writing so that it
couldn’t make the reader confuse while reading the article. In the second double page
spread, I think it could have more writing in the empty space so that it could look
more like an article, it doesn’t have much about what I was planning to write, the
summer fashion trends; it only has few aspects about the season, it should have more.
I think the picture in the first double page spread is a bit darker to what I was planning
to do. I would make the background lighter so that it could have more white than grey.
