Joyce Meyer Interview
Joyce Meyer is a renowned world s celebrated spiritual icon and Bible teacher. She has written more
than 800 books which have been translated into more than 80 languages thus reaching a vast
population of the world. She is also a Ph.D. holder in theology from the Life Christian University.
This is my interview with her at her St. Louis, Missouri home on the Easter day. Me: Thanks for
creating time for this interview. I must admit you are a hard one to meet. Joyce: (smiles) welcome. It
is because of my busy schedule, thanks to God for this time. Me: straight away, for a long period there
has been a strong belief that spiritual leadership belongs to men. What motivated you to assume such a
position today? Joyce: leadership is a noble course that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Joyce: I appreciate that the increasing population of mankind has put immense pressure on human
beings to advance and seek new methods of life. These methods such as manufacturing may result in
emission of harmful substances to the immediate environment. My take is that the human race should
strive to make the world a better place by redeeming its natural state. Planting trees and adopting
environmentally friendly sources of energy. This is the only way to salvage the earth we are living in
today. Me: Do you think the internet is a major contributor to the high levels of moral decay
experienced today? Joyce: the internet is a necessary evil tool. It helps and destroys in equal measure.
I must admit that most of my work are propagated via the internet and through the platform I have
reached many souls. I suppose there is need to protect the young generation from exposure to
undesired content on the internet. Parents should be taught on the importance of controlling what their
children access (Meyer, 2006). That s the best we can do right now. Me: Lastly. How would you grade

The Effects Of Pollution In China
When you walk into a store and pick up a few manufactured items, odds are they were produced in
china. That being said, it is safe to say that china is a global leader in manufacturing and international
exports. But what does this mean for china and its residents? In recent years, its population has seen
that it means increased pollution as well as health risks. As China has become more globalized, it s
major cities have shot up, and pollution has gone through the roof. Resulting from the industrial
revolution, China and its cities have both grown and been destroyed.
Shanghai, for example, Chinas main center for world trade is the wealthiest as well as the largest city
in china. As the industry in the city has grown, the pollution has followed right along. The city is
Chinas busiest cargo and container ports meaning there is high traffic of container ships polluting the
air. Recent reports tell us that an estimated ninety percent of Shanghais pollution stems from motor
vehicle emissions, coal burning and the heavy amount of industry that takes place.
For the residents of the China, the pollution is a thick smog draping the city that is only thickening by
the moment. This has caused many health risks for residents, increase in major respiratory issues, and
instilled a fear in residents to go outside. When you take a look at the population of china, you don t
see people playing outside or sunbathing, you see them waking around with masks on their face in

The Importance Of Oral Reading Assessment
Throughout this process of giving assessments, I came to the conclusion that some assessments are
more time efficient than others, while other assessments that take more time provide more useful
information that allow a teacher to provide individualized instruction for each student. The assessment
that took the most time was the Informal Phonics Survey, which required nearly twenty minutes for an
individual child to take the assessment; however, because of the time commitment for each individual
child, this assessment would not be an ideal source of information for an entire class. In contrast, the
DIBELS Oral Reading Fluency assessment only required ten minutes to assess an individual child,
and this assessment would be ideal for testing an entire class. I also realized that the Informal Phonics
Survey provides more detailed information than the DIBELS Oral Reading Fluency assessment does,
and although the IPS takes more time to administer, the information gives a teacher more insight into
the specific strengths and weaknesses of each child in their classroom by breaking the test into smaller
sections (letters, sounds, initial/final consonants, blends and digraphs, long and short vowels, closed
syllables, soft c/g generalization, open syllables, special vowels, syllabication, and common syllables).
This breakdown of the assessment allows the teacher to see the phonics skills each student is
struggling with and allows for individualized instruction. The DIBELS assessment,

Canadian Identity Stereotypes
Letting Others Define Us
Canadian identity is defined as how Canadians differ from the rest of the world and the uniqueness of
Canadian life. Today, Canada has a variety of stereotypes foreigners associate with Canada and
essentially, Canadian identity is defined based on how others perceive us. Some of the critical ideas
that foreigners typically associate Canada are universal healthcare, multiculturalism, and peace. All
three of these stereotypes based off foreigners impressions of Canada help define Canadian identity.
However, these stereotypes do not appear out of thin air, instead, they come from historical events.
The Citizenship Act, UN Peacekeeping Mission during the Suez Crisis, and the Medical Care Act all
contributed in the construction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It simply provided an easy way to define the lives of people living in Canada as Canadian citizens.
The Citizenship Act of 1947 allowed citizens to become subjects of Canada rather than subjects of
Britain. It allowed anyone of any racial or ethnic background to apply for citizenship, free of
discrimination. It was meant to create a sense of unity among Canadians while relieving racial or
ethnic tensions. This was significant in defining not only Canadian citizens, but also led to Canada s
multicultural society and the Multiculturalism Act in 1971. From a foreigners perspective, this act was
perceived as an attempt of removing discrimination and racism in Canada. Due to these anti
discriminatory rules of the act, foreigners inferred that Canada was starting to minimize and remove
racial discrimination to allow everyone to be a Canadian citizen. In simplified terms, Canada wanted
to promote multiculturalism instead of discriminating against everyone who was not British. Thus,
foreigners defined multiculturalism as a part of Canadian identity. This aspect of national identity only
strengthened with time as more and more events promoted multiculturalism for Canada to become the
multicultural country today. In addition, it is seen today that many immigrants choose to come to
Canada due to the culturally diverse, welcoming society here. This further proves that foreigners
believe that multiculturalism is a big part of Canada, defining its national identity. In summary, the
Citizenship Act marked the beginning of multiculturalism in Canada and sparked more events
promoting multiculturalism. This resulted in foreigners defining a stereotype of multiculturalism as an
important aspect of Canada s national identity

Essay What You Should Know About 401k Plans
Bits of What You Probably Should Know of 401 (k) Plans
The term 401 (k) is one that is heard quite often in today s. Most people know that it has something to
do with retirement, but few young people know exactly how 401 (k) plans work or why they are
becoming more and more popular. Additionally, many people who have 401 (k) plans may not know
all the details of how they work, how to get the most out of their plan, and how to keep their money
safe. In reality, everyone in the business world should be aware of the details and advantages of
having and managing a 401 (k) type savings plan, as it is becoming one of the most popular ways to
save for retirement in the United States and many other countries. First, it is imperative to ... Show

There are some cases, however, where there are exceptions . Some exceptions may include leaving
your employer at age fifty five or older, purchase of a primary residence, to avoid foreclosure of or
eviction from a primary residence, and medical expenses not covered by insurance (The basics of a
401(k) plan). If a person chooses to wait to begin taking money from their account, they must begin
making required minimum distributions by the year after they turn seventy and one half. The notable
exception is for those still working at this age (401 (k) Wikipedia). There are many advantages of 401
(k) plans, both for employees and their employers. One major important benefit is that the employee
has control over how much money they contribute to their account. In addition all employer
contributions and any growth in the capital grow tax free until withdrawal. If the company matches
contributions, it s like getting extra money on top of your salary. Also, unlike a pension, all the savings
can be moved from one company s plan to the next (or to an individual retirement account) if a
participant changes jobs (Neiters). Another benefit can be that employees can reduce their taxes
because they are reducing their taxable income while they are working and because they will be in a
lower tax bracket when they begin making distributions. The major cause for the huge popularity of

The Island s Slave, Savage And Son Of A Witch
The island s slave, savage and son of a witch, Caliban is a masterpiece of Shakespeare. The vague
descriptions of Caliban allow us to interpret the complex character of Caliban in many different ways.
At the time when Shakespeare wrote this, native people from the outer world fascinated the
Shakespearean audience. Therefore the way we consider Caliban, will differ from the way
Shakespearean audiences viewed him. Shakespeare has made Caliban a symbol of colonialism, as
during those times Europe was beginning to explore and colonize America the New World.
Throughout the play our feelings towards Caliban change. At the start we get introduced to Caliban by
Prospero s description of him Hag born, and dull thing. Prospero manipulates our views of Caliban at
the start, by describing him, giving us an impression of someone ugly and evil, as Caliban. We also
learn that he is a slave, whose master is Propspero. This is shown by Whom now I keep in service.
Shakespeare presents Caliban to the audience as a brutal monster. This is shown by
Prospero way of speaking towards Caliban, thou most lying slave and hag seed. By saying thou most
lying slave, Caliban is described as a slave and dishonest. Hag seed, meaning son of a witch will make
him seem like an animal, not a human. At that time, Elizabethan audiences will abhor Caliaban, as he
was a son of a witch. Therefore having a poor first impression of Caliban. All of these descriptions
dehumanises Caliban, hurting him. A

Compare and Contrast How the Main Protagonists Experience...
Compare and contrast how the main protagonists experience being outsiders within their respective
societies. The experience of being outsiders is explored by William Shakespeare in Othello , Emily
Bronte in Wuthering Heights and Robert Browning in his Dramatic Monologues. Shakespeare
explores the theme of alienation through a character considered an outsider by the society in which he
lives in. Similarly Emily Bronte explores Heathcliff and the obstacles he faces at Wuthering Heights.
Browning s Dramatic Monologues illustrate the minds of psychotic lovers who are all possessive and
delusional. In all the three texts the outsiders are rejected and are to an extent responsible for their own
position in the society. While some are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The narrator in The Last Ride Together is also rejected by his mistress but in contrast his acceptance
of this makes him dissimilar to the Duke and Heathcliff. In this poem Browning portrays human
success and the limitations people face. Although the lover s life has been meant for fails , he has
accepted his fate with his mistress and so accepts his failure of not being able to get her as part of his
success. Othello on the other hand has major success in wooing Desdemona which could suggest that
the rejection and success these characters receive could reflect the extent to which they are seen as
outsiders. Porphyria s lover is depicted as an outsider like the Duke but the narrator in this poem is far
more psychotic. Browning s use of language indicates that Porphyria is from a higher class than her
lover gay feast , dripping cloak and shawl , soiled gloves paints an image of a wealthy and
independent woman. There is a clear issue of class and wealth in both of these Browning poems and it
seems to be the root of the problems faced by the lovers. In Wuthering Heights money and power is
also a major issue which causes the unfortunate events endured by the protagonist. When Heathcliff
returns to the Heights as a gentleman in dress and aspect rather than a scavenger , there is a rise in his
wealth and power. Although he abuses his new status to fulfil is evil

Taking a Look at Audience Analysis
Audience analysis is one of the most important elements of effective communication which involves
assembling and interpreting information about the recipients of oral, written, or visual communication.
In order to derive an effective speech or writing, it is imperative to determine the associated
characteristics of an audience. Audience analysis can help you gain valuable insight about your
readers, which can help you to choose and develop a relevant, meaningful topic. It can also help you
to create a writing plan that is tailored effectively to your reading audience, with appropriate tone,
style, language and content.
Generally, audience analysis is the collection and interpretation of audience characteristics through
observation, inferences, questionnaires, or interviews. There are three main ways to adapt to audience
before starting the communication process (Steven A. and Susan J. Beebe, 1997):
Demographic analysis
Disposition analysis
Knowledge analysis
Demographic analysis: It involves age, gender, culture, ethnicity, race, religion and educational level
of the audience. More likely, it gives an idea about:
Is my audience homogenous or heterogeneous? How are the readers alike or different from one
another? Despite the differences, what do readers have in common?
What range of ages is represented?
What are my readers political and religious affiliations?
What is my role in relationship to my reading audience?
Each of these factors affects reader s

The Inclusive Practice During Childhood Education Context...
This essay will focus on the inclusive practice in relation to the early childhood education context and
particularly to the special educational needs of the gifted children. This will also cover the
policies/legislation, current research, national and international perspectives of inclusive practice in
early childhood education. The complexities and practicalities of inclusion in terms of learning
opportunities and experiences, environmental considerations and peer relationships would be critically
examined. The role of the teacher and the teaching strategies, practices and theoretical prospective and
the positive involvement of parents/families would also be evaluated to support the children with
giftedness abilities and extra talented skills. In general, inclusive practice is also known as special
education. According to Ministry of Education [MoE], (2000), Special education means the provision
of extra assistance, adapted programs or learning environments, specialized equipments or materials to
support young children and school students with accessing the curriculum in a range of settings.
Whereas, Education Review Office (2012) also defines inclusion as the identification that all children
and their families have equal rights to access high quality early childhood education without any
barriers, full participation and learning for all children. Moreover, the four principles of Te Whariki

Notes on Pricing Strategy
Notes on Pricing Decisions
In this note, we will discuss the pricing of a given product or a service. We will only discuss the
pricing of an individual product/service and not the pricing across a set of products in a product line.
Thus in the discussion that follows, we assume that the pricing decision of the product/service under
consideration has no bearing on the profitability of other products/services in the portfolio of the firm.
1. Overview of the Pricing Decision:
While making the pricing decision, it is assumed that the product is given to us. Thus as a first step,
we eliminate all those segments/customers who will not buy the product regardless of the price that
we charge. For instance, consider the Land Rover case ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This completes the overview of the pricing decisions. In what follows, we will first discuss the pricing
decision for a simple case when there is only one vertical segment. Following that, we will discuss the
pricing for the case when there is more than one vertical segment. Moreover in both cases, we will
assume that the broad horizontal segment is given to us.
2. Pricing Decision for a simple case when there is only one Vertical Segment:
The simple case of one vertical segment means that all consumers in the broad horizontal segment
have similar willingness to pay for the product under consideration. The pricing decision for this
simple case entails two steps: In step 1, we assess the the economic value to the consumer (EVC) of
the product under consideration. In step 2, we assess the willingness to pay for the product under
consideration, where the willingness to pay will be price that we will charge. The two steps are
explained as follows.
2.1 Assessing the economic value to the consumer:
One assesses the the economic value to the consumer (EVC) of a product under consideration by
understanding the reference product, the price and value of the reference product, and the difference in
the value delivered (to the buyer) by the reference product and the product under consideration. In
other words, to assess the EVC of a product under consideration, we need to have a reference product,
the price of the reference product

Essay On Biodegradable Stents
Since the late eighties, stenting has been the primary means of treating stenosed passageways within
the body. This started with self expanding bare metal stents; however, these stents could eventually
lead to restenosis of vessels. In the Gastrointestinal system in particular, these stents tend to migrate
and are difficult to remove at a later date. Though stenting in the GI system with these methods
initially treated the pathologies, they could lead to additional cost and stress to the patient later on.
With the recent development of biodegradable stents, this problem could be eliminated. With the use
of biodegradable materials or biomaterials in stenting, the complications from metal of even plastic

This metabolism is facilitated by the body s natural pH of 7 7.4 which is conducive to this process (2).
Biodegradable stents have been used for treatment of refractory benign stenoses including those in the
ureters, urethra, trachea, bile ducts, pancreas, small intestine, colon and esophagus (3). The first
biodegradable stents for the gastrointestinal tract were made from polylactic acid and were developed
by Goldin (4). He tested this stent on several patients to treat esophageal stenoses; however, his
prototypes were unable to maintain sufficient radial force for longer than three weeks and they also
degraded too quickly. Later, advancements were made with a material called polydioxanone, which is
a crystalline, biodegradable polymer with many ester linkages. This type of stent had greater integrity
and retained its radial force for 6 to 8 weeks after placement, and in 11 to 12 weeks, the stents began
to degrade. The degradation speed was also linked to pH; the lower the pH or the more acidic, the
faster the stent fragmented (1).
Biodegradable stents have found great use in treating stenoses of the esophagus and achalasia.
Esophageal stenoses are generally related to gastroesophageal reflux developed after esophageal
surgery or radiation therapy (5). Typically, this is treated with dilators and balloons and in 80% to 90%
of cases it initially works, but 30% to 60% of patients see their stenoses recur (1). In order to keep

Jfk Inaugural Address Rhetorical Analysis
On a cold January afternoon in 1961 John Fitzgerald Kennedy delivered one of the shortest but most
empowering inaugural addresses. Kennedy won by the smallest margin ever and to this day was the
youngest and the only Roman Catholic ever elected U.S. president. With the victory of World War II
behind the US and the fear of nuclear warfare with the Soviet Union looming Kennedy faced a
difficult task. Kennedy was faced with the task of convincing the American people that he was fit to
be leader. John F. Kennedy s use of rhetoric devices and persuasive appeals made in his Inaugural
Address convince the citizens of his ability to be chief executive. One of the rhetoric devices used
often in Kennedy s speech was the use of parallel structures. A parallel structure also called
parallelism is defined as the repetition of a chosen grammatical form within a sentence. An example of
a parallel structure would be To show kindness is praiseworthy; to show hatred is evil . Some
examples of parallel structures in Kennedy s inaugural address speech are: For man holds in his mortal
hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life. , If a free society
cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich. and Let us never negotiate out
of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate . Kennedy used parallel structures to align related ideas and

It is not until later in the novel that Tambu realizes that she had been brainwashed to believe that the
white educational system was better than her villages black education system, and that the white ways
are better than her villages ways. This is reflected in her uncle Babamukuru, who is looked upon as a
being of higher status by those in African culture because he is educated, but his education taught him
white ideas, therefore his transformation from African to white caused other blacks to view him as

Comparing On The Pulse Of The Morning And The Gift Outright
The poems On the Pulse of the Morning, by Maya Angelou and The Gift Outright, by Robert Frost
share many similar aspects, such as being written for presidential inaugurations and explaining their
author s views of America s changing state. However, they differ in key aspects, such as the intended
audience and the formality of the writing. Angelou s poem speaks to a broad, diverse audience and
displays an informal fashion, while Frost directs his poem towards a predominantly white America
and writes in a formal tone. In his poem, Frost speaks directly to the American population as he sees it
a chiefly white society. He refers to the land as ours, referencing the struggles faced by colonists in the
Revolutionary War. Native Americans

Synagogue Visit
The Synagogue or Beit Knesset, the Jewish house of worship, is a very intriguing and complex
institution, and when conducting a tour, it requires a great amount of knowledge for the tourist who
have never visited a Synagogue, to have an adequate understanding of the institution. Being enrolled
in Religious Studies 217, I have gained a lot of knowledge that allow me to believe that I would be a
very informative and enlightening tour guide. When conducting a tour of a Synagogue, I would inform
my tourist of the religious rituals that take place in the temple and important religious figures, objects,
clothing and ceremonies, so that they could have an adequate understanding of the Synagogue and
learn of the important rituals that happen inside ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first two ceremonies I would explain are the Bar Mitzvah and the Bat Mitzvah, which are quite
similar to each other. At the age of 13, Jewish boys become a Bar Mitzvah and at the age of 12, Jewish
girls become a Bat Mitzvah. The ceremony, which usually takes place during the Shabbat morning
service, may feature the bar/bat mitzvah child leading prayers, or reading the Torah/Haftarah. If my
guest were to attend one of these ceremonies, I explain that they should dress formal, wear a tallit and
kippah, and should be respectful of the ceremony and the individuals. The next ceremony I explain to
my tourist is the male circumcision ceremony, called the Brit Milah. On the eighth day from when the
child is born, the ceremony takes place following the morning prayer. The mother of the child hands
over her child to a husband and wife due, known as the kvatters. Then the child is placed in the chair
of Elijah, a chair designated for circumcisions and the mohel, the ritual circumciser, performs the
ritual with the child s father beside him. Following the circumcision is a prayer and a festive meal,
consisting of meat, fish, dairy and wine. The last ceremony I explain, is the naming ceremony form
girls, known as Simhat Bat. This ceremony is begun with a Hebrew welcome, Brucha

The Performance Enhancing Drug Scandal
The largest Performance Enhancing Drug scandal, in baseball, all started over a debt owed to Porter
Fischer in 2013. Fischer worked for Tony Bosch who owned a clinic called Biogenesis of America,
which specialized in weight loss and hormone replacement therapy. When Bosch did not pay back his
debt to Fischer, Fischer became angry and wanted revenge. This is when Porter stole documents from
Tony to get his revenge by letting the world know who Dr. Tony Bosch, is what he called himself even
though he wasn t a real doctor, really was doing at this so called clinic . In the documents that had all
the client names there were twenty Major League ballplayers that MLB ended up linking to the clinic,
but only one stood out to Fischer: Alex Rodriguez. This was an eye opener for Major League Baseball
and they knew something needed to be done about the use of PEDs in the sport of baseball. After tons
of investigation and trying to buy the documents MLB suspended Alex Rodriguez on August 5, 2013
for the 2014 season (211 games). Twelve other players connected to the Biogenesis scandal were
given a 50 game suspension. Rodriguez received a longer suspension because of his use and
possession of numerous forms of prohibited performance enhancing substances, including testosterone
and human growth hormone, over the course of multiple years and for his attempts to cover up those
violations and obstruct a league investigation , according to MLB. The only player ,out of thirteen, to

Microsoft Access As A Database Program
Even though Microsoft Access has been around for a while now many people still do not know how to
use it and are just learning about it. Some different kinds of people that use Microsoft Access include:
scientists, employees in large office firms, any kind of business major, and quite a few more. When it
comes to working with Microsoft Access, people should know what it even is, what the kinds of
benefits there are, and what some of the different components are.
Microsoft Access is a database program. According to What is Microsoft Access Used For? (2015),
Microsoft Access is an information management tool that helps you store information for reference,
reporting, and analysis. Microsoft Access helps you analyze large amounts of information, and
manage related data more efficiently than Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet applications ( What is
Microsoft Access Used For? , 2015). Since Access helps analyze large amounts of information; it is
more commonly used in larger businesses. Although it is more common in larger businesses, small
businesses can still use Access. If a company or person in general outgrows Access database, it is very
easy to upgrade to the next option. The next option is using a Microsoft SQL Server. When someone
switches to Microsoft SQL Server from Microsoft Access, they can send all of their tables and data to
the server. They can also keep all of their reports, forms, and queries that were made and worked on
while using Microsoft Access. If

Groundhogs Research Paper
HI, I am a groundhog, and I am one of many in the world. Punxsutawney Phil is my name. I like to
think of myself as a rare species because there is a whole holiday dedicated to myself and other
groundhogs. The place I call home is in a well vegetated area. It is not much, but it is still my home.
Most of my favorite foods are there, nevertheless, I like to live there. Because I am a groundhog, I am
famous for predicting longer winters, or sometimes smaller winter. Groundhogs can also be known as
Woodchucks, too.
On most days I sleep, but on Thursday, February 2, I wake up in search for my terrifying, black
shadow. All generations of groundhogs have searched for their shadows, but few have found them.
Tomorrow is the huge day I will make my

Publix History
What is your favorite place to go and get anything you need? Is it Walmart, Target, or Publix? If so,
you ve probably never referred to either of those as a general store. In all actuality, Walmart, Target,
and Publix are all predecessors of the 19th and early 20th century general store. With large display
windows for all to see the brand new item the store had to offer to the community, a general store was
a necessity for all towns. In fact, some towns were even built around the general store. It was such an
essential for the community that in 1866 the Cape Cod town of Brewster, Massachusetts converted a
church into a general store that is still going today (Fox News, 2012). The general store offered a
variety of things to the community and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The general store offered a huge variety of merchandise that people normally couldn t get. Whether it
was something they couldn t make, or something that didn t come from around the town (Hays, The
General Store , 2012), it was always interesting to people to see just what the general store had. They
would get things like medicines, candies, smoking tobacco, and even toiletries like soaps. After a busy
week of working on the farm, the mom would pack lunch, and the dad and kids would get ready to
head to the general store. They didn t only go to get what they needed for the week, but they also went
because it was a special occasion! The kids would walk in and see toys and candies and all sorts of
things that, if they were lucky, they might walk out with. Candy was a delicacy, and though it didn t
really cost a lot, it wasn t a necessity, thus normally overlooked by the parents. As the mom and the
dad would walk around, of course they would see some things that they wanted. Like how the father
might want some new tools or the mother would look at glassware (Iowa Pathways, The General

Puerto Rico Problems
Integrating Puerto Rico into the United States and changing its political status to state would be a great
accomplishment on the United States part. Puerto Rico is facing many obstacles not just economically
but also government wise, the structure of the government causes many problems to arise. Also the
residents of the island are not provided with all the benefits and rights that are provided by the
government to the states, Which is why it would be a great upgrade of the island to be integrated as a
state. By integrating Puerto Rico into the United States the government could assist in helping the
island resolve some of the economical issues it has. The island faces many economically related
obstacles and has a vastly large amount of debt. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Germ Theory Of Disease
Hand washing is the most important method of avoiding sickness and germs spreading. According to
WHO, it is always important to wash hands to not only remove visible dirty but also to kill disease
causing pathogens. We should wash our hands when:
They are visibly dirty
Before touching raw meant such as beef or chicken
After changing adults or infant nappies
After touching pets or animals
After going to toilets
Before eating
Before preparing food items
After contacting with any body fluids like vomit, urine and blood
After blowing our noses or sneezing
Doctors mostly use alcohol based hand rubs instead of periodically washing their hands since they
handle patients, very old people and very young children (M Worboys, 2008).
This experiment goes hand in hand with the Germ theory of disease which states that many diseases
are caused due to the presence and actions of specific pathogens within the body. Washing hands with
soap and water is among the best and the cheapest way to reduce the number of disease causing micro
organisms in many situations. If soap and water are not available, experts recommend that alcohol
based hand sanitizes containing at least 60% alcohol should be used (J Waller, 2004).
Alcohol based sanitizes quickly reduce the number of pathogens even though some Sanitizers do not
eliminate all germs. Hand ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The success of hand washing is determined by a couple of factors namely; presence of clean cold or
warm running water, soap, scrubber and a clean piece of towel. With these equipments, doctors
recommend that one should wet his or her hand with clean warm or cold running water, and then
apply soap. Then lather your hands by rubbing them together with soap. Ensure you lather between
your fingers, under your nails and back of your hands. Afterward scrub your hands for like twenty
seconds to ensure that all germs die. After that, rinse your hands well under clean running water.
Using a clean towel, dry your hands or dry them in the air (J Waller,

Malcolm Bryant Case Analysis
The innocence project has exonerated 349 people and of those 349 people, 71% of them have involved
eyewitness misidentification. In the Malcolm Bryant case, eyewitness misidentification was a huge
reason why he was convicted. The witness testified against Bryant during court and was certain that it
was him. David Camm and Malcolm Bryant were convicted based on testimony and evidence, which
lead to issues in their cases, but they were later exonerated based on advancements in DNA testing.
Camm and Bryant both were found guilty from the testimony and evidence that was presented during
court. Charles Boney was at the scene of the murders of the Camm family. It came down to Boney s
word against Camm s during the testimony. Boney told police and ... Show more content on

Camm s attorney knew from the start that DNA evidence would prove that he was innocent. Although
DNA evidence originally linked Boney to the scene of the murders, prosecutors still said that Camm
killed his family alone. For years, Camm s attorneys said that he was innocent and DNA tests would
show someone else committed the crime (Gazette). This evidence shows that DNA testing was not
advanced at the time of Camm s conviction, but this same evidence was later used to prove that Camm
did not kill his family. Charles Boney was found to be linked to the murders. At Camm s trial, a state
police detective testified how DNA evidence found from the sweat shirt by a private lab and a bloody
palm print on Kimberly s car at the scene of the murder linked Boney to the murder scene in early
2005 (Gazette). This evidence suggests that the DNA testing they had at the time showed that Boney
was linked to the crime scene. Improvements in DNA testing not only helped David Camm but it also
helped Malcolm Bryant.
Advancement in DNA testing helped prove that Malcolm Bryant was innocent. The victim s shirt that
was sent in for DNA testing had a full male DNA match with the partial sample from the nail
clippings. This result was inconsistent with Malcolm Bryant s DNA (Richardson). This evidence
shows that DNA evidence was huge in the exoneration of Bryant. After this DNA test there was no

Tension Between The Establishment Clause And The Free...
1. Explain the tension between the establishment clause and the free exercise clause of the First
amendment. Support your explanation with at least one example. First we must understand the
purpose of each of these clauses of the First Amendment. A common misunderstanding of the
Establishment Clause is that it safeguards individual rights. In reality the purpose of the Establishment
Clause is to limit the government s power in respect to legislating on matters that deals with respecting
an establishment of religion. . The Free Exercise Clause has only a sole purpose, the safeguarding of
individual rights, specifically related to religion. For all practical purposes there is no tension between
these two clauses. The Supreme Court has established that both clauses are independent in their
purpose and that neither one is more important than the other Conflict is not possible, for each clause
in its own way was a negative on powers that might have been implied from the original Constitution.
Two negatives cannot conflict. The religious rights of individuals and the ordering of relations
between government and religion while complementary, not contradictory are altogether different
enterprises. There are several historical court cases involving Jehovah s Witnesses and their rights
related to the First Amendment and its multiple clauses. In 1943 West Virginia State Board of
Education v. Barnette overturned another landmark case, Minersville School District v. Gobitis

Dulce Et Decorum Est Analysis
The war poem Dulce et Decorum est brings to light the astounding suffering and experiences of
suffering endured that characterized the WW1 battlefield and how it reflects upon the ideologies of
patriotism. The author, Wilfred Owen was written this poem in an iambic pentameter. He has
deliberately positioned the reader to distinguish to false portrayal of war itself, perpetuated by the
misleading governmental propaganda deliberately implanted to recruit boys to enlist and sacrifice
themselves in service of the government s imperialistic political ambitions. Owen has been
deliberately confronting towards the reader with loathsome imagery of suffering. This effectively
serves as an antithesis to the governments and society s misrepresentation of war as an honourable
means through which would achieve glory and pride for an individual s name. Contained within Owen
s poem Dulce et Decorum Est the conflicting argument against whether there truly is honour in dyeing
for one s country in World War 1 contradicts the Latin saying, Dulce et Decorum Est, which translates
to it is sweet and honourable to die for the fatherland . This title itself would seem as if Owen himself
doesn t condone the patriotic ideals and propaganda that resulted in the unnecessary deaths of millions
of young men in the war. However, the poem itself contradict this title. The speaker refuses to accept
the Latin saying and actually detests the patriotic argument. Within Owen s war poem he
communicates

She has written more than 800 books which have been translated into more than 80 languages thus reaching a vast population of the world. She is also a Ph.D. holder in theology from the Life Christian University. This is my interview with her at her St. Louis, Missouri home on the Easter day. Me: Thanks for creating time for this interview. I must admit you are a hard one to meet. Joyce: (smiles) welcome. It is because of my busy schedule, thanks to God for this time. Me: straight away, for a long period there has been a strong belief that spiritual leadership belongs to men. What motivated you to assume such a position today? Joyce: I appreciate that the increasing population of mankind has put immense pressure on human beings to advance and seek new methods of life. These methods such as manufacturing may result in emission of harmful substances to the immediate environment. My take is that the human race should strive to make the world a better place by redeeming its natural state. Planting trees and adopting environmentally friendly sources of energy. This is the only way to salvage the earth we are living in today. Me: Do you think the internet is a major contributor to the high levels of moral decay experienced today? Joyce: the internet is a necessary evil tool. It helps and destroys in equal measure. I must admit that most of my work are propagated via the internet and through the platform I have reached many souls. I suppose there is need to protect the young generation from exposure to undesired content on the internet. Parents should be taught on the importance of controlling what their children access (Meyer, 2006). That s the best we can do right now. Me: Lastly. How would you grade the world today? That being said, it is safe to say that china is a global leader in manufacturing and international exports. But what does this mean for china and its residents? In recent years, its population has seen that it means increased pollution as well as health risks. As China has become more globalized, it s major cities have shot up, and pollution has gone through the roof. Resulting from the industrial revolution, China and its cities have both grown and been destroyed. Shanghai, for example, Chinas main center for world trade is the wealthiest as well as the largest city in china. As the industry in the city has grown, the pollution has followed right along. The city is Chinas busiest cargo and container ports meaning there is high traffic of container ships polluting the air. Recent reports tell us that an estimated ninety percent of Shanghais pollution stems from motor vehicle emissions, coal burning and the heavy amount of industry that takes place. For the residents of the China, the pollution is a thick smog draping the city that is only thickening by the moment. This has caused many health risks for residents, increase in major respiratory issues, and instilled a fear in residents to go outside. When you take a look at the population of china, you don t see people playing outside or sunbathing, you see them waking around with masks on their face in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Importance Of Oral Reading Assessment Throughout this process of giving assessments, I came to the conclusion that some assessments are more time efficient than others, while other assessments that take more time provide more useful information that allow a teacher to provide individualized instruction for each student. The assessment that took the most time was the Informal Phonics Survey, which required nearly twenty minutes for an individual child to take the assessment; however, because of the time commitment for each individual child, this assessment would not be an ideal source of information for an entire class. In contrast, the DIBELS Oral Reading Fluency assessment only required ten minutes to assess an individual child, and this assessment would be ideal for testing an entire class. I also realized that the Informal Phonics Survey provides more detailed information than the DIBELS Oral Reading Fluency assessment does, and although the IPS takes more time to administer, the information gives a teacher more insight into the specific strengths and weaknesses of each child in their classroom by breaking the test into smaller sections (letters, sounds, initial/final consonants, blends and digraphs, long and short vowels, closed syllables, soft c/g generalization, open syllables, special vowels, syllabication, and common syllables). This breakdown of the assessment allows the teacher to see the phonics skills each student is struggling with and allows for individualized instruction. The DIBELS assessment, ... • 7. Canadian Identity Stereotypes Letting Others Define Us Canadian identity is defined as how Canadians differ from the rest of the world and the uniqueness of Canadian life. Today, Canada has a variety of stereotypes foreigners associate with Canada and essentially, Canadian identity is defined based on how others perceive us. Some of the critical ideas that foreigners typically associate Canada are universal healthcare, multiculturalism, and peace. All three of these stereotypes based off foreigners impressions of Canada help define Canadian identity. However, these stereotypes do not appear out of thin air, instead, they come from historical events. The Citizenship Act, UN Peacekeeping Mission during the Suez Crisis, and the Medical Care Act all contributed in the construction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It simply provided an easy way to define the lives of people living in Canada as Canadian citizens. The Citizenship Act of 1947 allowed citizens to become subjects of Canada rather than subjects of Britain. It allowed anyone of any racial or ethnic background to apply for citizenship, free of discrimination. It was meant to create a sense of unity among Canadians while relieving racial or ethnic tensions. This was significant in defining not only Canadian citizens, but also led to Canada s multicultural society and the Multiculturalism Act in 1971. From a foreigners perspective, this act was perceived as an attempt of removing discrimination and racism in Canada. Due to these anti discriminatory rules of the act, foreigners inferred that Canada was starting to minimize and remove racial discrimination to allow everyone to be a Canadian citizen. In simplified terms, Canada wanted to promote multiculturalism instead of discriminating against everyone who was not British. Thus, foreigners defined multiculturalism as a part of Canadian identity. This aspect of national identity only strengthened with time as more and more events promoted multiculturalism for Canada to become the multicultural country today. In addition, it is seen today that many immigrants choose to come to Canada due to the culturally diverse, welcoming society here. This further proves that foreigners believe that multiculturalism is a big part of Canada, defining its national identity. In summary, the Citizenship Act marked the beginning of multiculturalism in Canada and sparked more events promoting multiculturalism. This resulted in foreigners defining a stereotype of multiculturalism as an important aspect of Canada s national identity ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If a person chooses to wait to begin taking money from their account, they must begin making required minimum distributions by the year after they turn seventy and one half. The notable exception is for those still working at this age (401 (k) Wikipedia). There are many advantages of 401 (k) plans, both for employees and their employers. One major important benefit is that the employee has control over how much money they contribute to their account. In addition all employer contributions and any growth in the capital grow tax free until withdrawal. If the company matches contributions, it s like getting extra money on top of your salary. Also, unlike a pension, all the savings can be moved from one company s plan to the next (or to an individual retirement account) if a participant changes jobs (Neiters). Another benefit can be that employees can reduce their taxes because they are reducing their taxable income while they are working and because they will be in a lower tax bracket when they begin making distributions. • 10. The Island s Slave, Savage And Son Of A Witch The island s slave, savage and son of a witch, Caliban is a masterpiece of Shakespeare. The vague descriptions of Caliban allow us to interpret the complex character of Caliban in many different ways. At the time when Shakespeare wrote this, native people from the outer world fascinated the Shakespearean audience. Therefore the way we consider Caliban, will differ from the way Shakespearean audiences viewed him. Shakespeare has made Caliban a symbol of colonialism, as during those times Europe was beginning to explore and colonize America the New World. Throughout the play our feelings towards Caliban change. At the start we get introduced to Caliban by Prospero s description of him Hag born, and dull thing. Prospero manipulates our views of Caliban at the start, by describing him, giving us an impression of someone ugly and evil, as Caliban. We also learn that he is a slave, whose master is Propspero. This is shown by Whom now I keep in service. Shakespeare presents Caliban to the audience as a brutal monster. This is shown by Prospero way of speaking towards Caliban, thou most lying slave and hag seed. By saying thou most lying slave, Caliban is described as a slave and dishonest. Hag seed, meaning son of a witch will make him seem like an animal, not a human. At that time, Elizabethan audiences will abhor Caliaban, as he was a son of a witch. Therefore having a poor first impression of Caliban. All of these descriptions dehumanises Caliban, hurting him. A ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The experience of being outsiders is explored by William Shakespeare in Othello , Emily Bronte in Wuthering Heights and Robert Browning in his Dramatic Monologues. Shakespeare explores the theme of alienation through a character considered an outsider by the society in which he lives in. Similarly Emily Bronte explores Heathcliff and the obstacles he faces at Wuthering Heights. Browning s Dramatic Monologues illustrate the minds of psychotic lovers who are all possessive and delusional. The narrator in The Last Ride Together is also rejected by his mistress but in contrast his acceptance of this makes him dissimilar to the Duke and Heathcliff. In this poem Browning portrays human success and the limitations people face. Although the lover s life has been meant for fails , he has accepted his fate with his mistress and so accepts his failure of not being able to get her as part of his success. Othello on the other hand has major success in wooing Desdemona which could suggest that the rejection and success these characters receive could reflect the extent to which they are seen as outsiders. Porphyria s lover is depicted as an outsider like the Duke but the narrator in this poem is far more psychotic. Browning s use of language indicates that Porphyria is from a higher class than her lover gay feast , dripping cloak and shawl , soiled gloves paints an image of a wealthy and independent woman. There is a clear issue of class and wealth in both of these Browning poems and it seems to be the root of the problems faced by the lovers. In Wuthering Heights money and power is also a major issue which causes the unfortunate events endured by the protagonist. • 12. Taking a Look at Audience Analysis Audience analysis is one of the most important elements of effective communication which involves assembling and interpreting information about the recipients of oral, written, or visual communication. In order to derive an effective speech or writing, it is imperative to determine the associated characteristics of an audience. Audience analysis can help you gain valuable insight about your readers, which can help you to choose and develop a relevant, meaningful topic. It can also help you to create a writing plan that is tailored effectively to your reading audience, with appropriate tone, style, language and content. Generally, audience analysis is the collection and interpretation of audience characteristics through observation, inferences, questionnaires, or interviews. There are three main ways to adapt to audience before starting the communication process (Steven A. and Susan J. This essay will focus on the inclusive practice in relation to the early childhood education context and particularly to the special educational needs of the gifted children. This will also cover the policies/legislation, current research, national and international perspectives of inclusive practice in early childhood education. The complexities and practicalities of inclusion in terms of learning opportunities and experiences, environmental considerations and peer relationships would be critically examined. The role of the teacher and the teaching strategies, practices and theoretical prospective and the positive involvement of parents/families would also be evaluated to support the children with giftedness abilities and extra talented skills. Thus in the discussion that follows, we assume that the pricing decision of the product/service under consideration has no bearing on the profitability of other products/services in the portfolio of the firm. 1. Overview of the Pricing Decision: While making the pricing decision, it is assumed that the product is given to us. Pricing Decision for a simple case when there is only one Vertical Segment: The simple case of one vertical segment means that all consumers in the broad horizontal segment have similar willingness to pay for the product under consideration. The pricing decision for this simple case entails two steps: In step 1, we assess the the economic value to the consumer (EVC) of the product under consideration. In step 2, we assess the willingness to pay for the product under consideration, where the willingness to pay will be price that we will charge. The two steps are explained as follows. 2.1 Assessing the economic value to the consumer: One assesses the the economic value to the consumer (EVC) of a product under consideration by understanding the reference product, the price and value of the reference product, and the difference in the value delivered (to the buyer) by the reference product and the product under consideration. This started with self expanding bare metal stents; however, these stents could eventually lead to restenosis of vessels. In the Gastrointestinal system in particular, these stents tend to migrate and are difficult to remove at a later date. Though stenting in the GI system with these methods initially treated the pathologies, they could lead to additional cost and stress to the patient later on. Biodegradable stents have been used for treatment of refractory benign stenoses including those in the ureters, urethra, trachea, bile ducts, pancreas, small intestine, colon and esophagus (3). The first biodegradable stents for the gastrointestinal tract were made from polylactic acid and were developed by Goldin (4). He tested this stent on several patients to treat esophageal stenoses; however, his prototypes were unable to maintain sufficient radial force for longer than three weeks and they also degraded too quickly. Later, advancements were made with a material called polydioxanone, which is a crystalline, biodegradable polymer with many ester linkages. This type of stent had greater integrity and retained its radial force for 6 to 8 weeks after placement, and in 11 to 12 weeks, the stents began to degrade. The degradation speed was also linked to pH; the lower the pH or the more acidic, the faster the stent fragmented (1). Biodegradable stents have found great use in treating stenoses of the esophagus and achalasia. Esophageal stenoses are generally related to gastroesophageal reflux developed after esophageal surgery or radiation therapy (5). Typically, this is treated with dilators and balloons and in 80% to 90% of cases it initially works, but 30% to 60% of patients see their stenoses recur (1). He thinks that this process has inflicted changes not only on the society itself, but also on all spheres of its activity, including the academic field. According to Ickstadt, American Studies as one of academic disciplines adjusts itself to the new conditions by implementing the transnational approach to its field of study (544 45). • 19. Jfk Inaugural Address Rhetorical Analysis On a cold January afternoon in 1961 John Fitzgerald Kennedy delivered one of the shortest but most empowering inaugural addresses. Kennedy won by the smallest margin ever and to this day was the youngest and the only Roman Catholic ever elected U.S. president. With the victory of World War II behind the US and the fear of nuclear warfare with the Soviet Union looming Kennedy faced a difficult task. Kennedy was faced with the task of convincing the American people that he was fit to be leader. John F. Kennedy s use of rhetoric devices and persuasive appeals made in his Inaugural Address convince the citizens of his ability to be chief executive. One of the rhetoric devices used often in Kennedy s speech was the use of parallel structures. A parallel structure also called parallelism is defined as the repetition of a chosen grammatical form within a sentence. An example of a parallel structure would be To show kindness is praiseworthy; to show hatred is evil . Some examples of parallel structures in Kennedy s inaugural address speech are: For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life. , If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich. and Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate . Kennedy used parallel structures to align related ideas and to make it more understandable for both readers and listeners. By using a parallel ... The main character, Tambudzai, in the novel Nervous Conditions by Tsitsi Dangarembga, is determined to get a white education without losing her native tongue and ways. However this proves to be more difficult that she would expect and seeds that are planted in her mind by the whites begin to take shape, and greatly affect her existence. It is not until later in the novel that Tambu realizes that she had been brainwashed to believe that the white educational system was better than her villages black education system, and that the white ways are better than her villages ways. This is reflected in her uncle Babamukuru, who is looked upon as a being of higher status by those in African culture because he is educated, but his education taught him white ideas, therefore his transformation from African to white caused other blacks to view him as being higher up then they are. Tambu wants badly to help her family escape poverty, but does not realize that they only way to do that is to follow the white s ideas outlined for her throughout her education. She wants to be able to avoid conforming to the cultural ideas held by the whites, all the while using their education to get ahead. However the avoidance of brainwashing is not as simple as she thinks. Tambu decided that she did not want to be brainwashed like her brother. Tambu first noticed the effect that brainwashing had on her brother Nhamo when he returned on school vacation to their homestead. She disapproved of her brother because he renounced the family life, as he had been brainwashed to believe that since there standard of living did not meet the expectations of a white standard of living then their standard of living must be bad. According to WHO, it is always important to wash hands to not only remove visible dirty but also to kill disease causing pathogens. We should wash our hands when: They are visibly dirty Before touching raw meant such as beef or chicken After changing adults or infant nappies After touching pets or animals After going to toilets Before eating Before preparing food items After contacting with any body fluids like vomit, urine and blood After blowing our noses or sneezing Doctors mostly use alcohol based hand rubs instead of periodically washing their hands since they handle patients, very old people and very young children (M Worboys, 2008). This experiment goes hand in hand with the Germ theory of disease which states that many diseases are caused due to the presence and actions of specific pathogens within the body. Washing hands with soap and water is among the best and the cheapest way to reduce the number of disease causing micro organisms in many situations. If soap and water are not available, experts recommend that alcohol based hand sanitizes containing at least 60% alcohol should be used (J Waller, 2004). Although DNA evidence originally linked Boney to the scene of the murders, prosecutors still said that Camm killed his family alone. This evidence shows that DNA testing was not advanced at the time of Camm s conviction, but this same evidence was later used to prove that Camm did not kill his family. Charles Boney was found to be linked to the murders. At Camm s trial, a state police detective testified how DNA evidence found from the sweat shirt by a private lab and a bloody palm print on Kimberly s car at the scene of the murder linked Boney to the murder scene in early 2005 (Gazette). This evidence suggests that the DNA testing they had at the time showed that Boney was linked to the crime scene. Support your explanation with at least one example. First we must understand the purpose of each of these clauses of the First Amendment. A common misunderstanding of the Establishment Clause is that it safeguards individual rights. In reality the purpose of the Establishment Clause is to limit the government s power in respect to legislating on matters that deals with respecting an establishment of religion. . The Free Exercise Clause has only a sole purpose, the safeguarding of individual rights, specifically related to religion. For all practical purposes there is no tension between these two clauses. The Supreme Court has established that both clauses are independent in their purpose and that neither one is more important than the other Conflict is not possible, for each clause in its own way was a negative on powers that might have been implied from the original Constitution. Two negatives cannot conflict. The religious rights of individuals and the ordering of relations between government and religion while complementary, not contradictory are altogether different enterprises. Dulce Et Decorum Est Analysis The war poem Dulce et Decorum est brings to light the astounding suffering and experiences of suffering endured that characterized the WW1 battlefield and how it reflects upon the ideologies of patriotism. The author, Wilfred Owen was written this poem in an iambic pentameter. He has deliberately positioned the reader to distinguish to false portrayal of war itself, perpetuated by the misleading governmental propaganda deliberately implanted to recruit boys to enlist and sacrifice themselves in service of the government s imperialistic political ambitions. Owen has been deliberately confronting towards the reader with loathsome imagery of suffering. This effectively serves as an antithesis to the governments and society s misrepresentation of war as an honourable means through which would achieve glory and pride for an individual s name. Contained within Owen s poem Dulce et Decorum Est the conflicting argument against whether there truly is honour in dyeing for one s country in World War 1 contradicts the Latin saying, Dulce et Decorum Est, which translates to it is sweet and honourable to die for the fatherland . This title itself would seem as if Owen himself doesn t condone the patriotic ideals and propaganda that resulted in the unnecessary deaths of millions of young men in the war.
