Australia s policies in regard to asylum seekers and refugee processing, are viewed as very
controversial, and often inhumane by the international community (Lock, Quenault Tomlinson 2002,
p.37). To discuss this policy, I will apply an external analysis. In order to decide whether this policy is
seen as good or bad, through a social, economic and human rights perspective.
The policy originated in 1992 where asylum seekers who arrive by boat to Australia, are permitted to
mandatory detention (Manne 2016). This policy expanded in 2001 to the Pacific Solution , where
those deemed unlawful citizens are to be kept in offshore mandatory detention in countries such as
Papua New Guinea, Manus Island and Nauru. However, the costs of this would be covered by the
Australian government (Henderson 2014, p.1163 1165). Because of this, numbers of asylum seekers
accepted into Australia significantly decreased (Lohana, Khaskhely, Khan, Razzaq 2016, p.175). Post
9 11 this idea was well supported as the perception arose that asylum seekers are queue jumpers , and
others even associating them as terrorists (Lock, Quenault Tomlinson 2002, p.39). People also

micron filter which will remove all particles of 10 microns in size or greater. The oil then enters a flow
divider valve which properly diverts the oil to two separate 4 micron filters for further oil cleansing.
Likewise, the 4 micron filters will remove all particles of 4 microns or greater. From here, the oil
flows through a check ball valve to ensure no backflow into the filters. This is necessary due to the
merging of the two parallel 4 micron filters. After leaving the first filter configuration the oil is then

Cloning Horses Cloning horses is like opening a pandora box, that s better left closed. In the years to
come cloning could become more common in the horse industry. As Ryan Bell states in the article The
Clone Age, When we clone we produce what we already have. (Bell Clone Age) Breeders must
remember; too much of a good thing is still a bad thing. So here s the question is cloning good or bad.
The first equine wasn t cloned until 2003. However, the first organism was cloned in 1928. Hans
Spemann was the first person to create a clone, he cloned a frog. The most well known clone may
have been Dolly the sheep. Dolly was born in 1996, that was the year cloning became more popular.

Why clone? That s the question many breeders are asking. For breeding stock cloning could increase
amounts of offspring. A clone could manage a breeding career from a horse so it could continue to
show.Cloning could bring back beloved childhood horses or past champions. But is it worth the cost

Many breeders are weary of cloning. Not only is cloning expensive but, according to the article Is

Staying cool is something we all strive to do when it is too hot, and vice versa when it is too cold.
Being to hot or too cold is an extreme nuisance in every day lives, but I d much rather be too cold than
too hot. It is quite simple to keep warm: either put on more layers of clothing or wrap yourself in a
blanket. To keep cool is another story; one could strip off layers of clothes until they are naked and
have no more layers to go, then they resort to a fan, which in turn is just blowing more hot air at them.
Coming to The Pennsylvania State University I was excited to learn, meet new people and have fun,
and I have been able to do most of those, however, it is sometimes difficult with the scalding oven that
is my dorm room. To help fix the problem that my fellow students and I are experiencing, I propose
that the university either install central air conditioning in all dorms, or, barring that, install air
conditioning units in dorm rooms, in order to allow students to get more sleep, better grades, and have

paradise, but it is quite unrealistic. Instead I would ask to sleep for as long as I could until my alarm
