certain laws and people in charge in attempts to fight for what they believe in. Although they both
technically broke the law to support a cause, Antigone and King had different approaches in doing so
and different goals. Antigone openly defied her leader in a direct way to accomplish a singular goal,
while King s defiance had a more complex goal in which his civil disobedience was only facet of.
King s goal was unity and equality amongst people while Antigone fought to bring honor to her
brother. Also, the way in which they perform the disobedience varies, the steps each one takes reflects
their feelings and the goals they were seeking. Between the two, I sympathize more with King, as I
feel his actions and goal was overall more noble and intricate. Despite the difference in outcome, both
Antigone s and king s goals were commendable and both rebels payed the ultimate price for their
deed. In both of these pieces of literature, civil disobedience is seen as a necessary tactic for fighting
for what one believes is right and although different, Antigone and King inspire generations of
protests to this day.

Therefore, I find that throughout this topic of discussion from Freakonomics, the author s use
examples that help clarify the reader s curiosity to why such a question should be asked in the first
place, and thus, setting the reader s mind to think about the following topics in the chapter.
The second point I aim to prove, is the author s use of advertising and examples of misused surveys to
prepare the reader for the chapter s topic. The evidence in this section is based on an example of Mitch

As the plot is established, one realizes that Sonny has been arrested for using heroin and sent to
rehabilitation. Consequently, Sonny s brother is so disappointed in him that he initially refuses to even
contact him until he writes a letter to inform Sonny of his daughter s death. When Sonny responds, the
first words he writes are, You don t know how much I needed to hear from you (6). This opening
sentence jolts Sonny s brother into realizing that at the moment his brother needed him the most, he

from Sonny stating, You don t know how much I needed you , the anger dissipates and he realizes that
his younger brother is in need of guidance and love rather than anger and ignorance.

Coming into this event setting was confusing, set up inside in the cafeteria in a small section towards
the front made it confusing for those of us who have never been in the cafeteria. The setting alone
seems extremely unordinary for a Belly Dancer s venue as most of her body that should be covered in
cafeteria are such as her arm pits and her exposed feet. Her intricate body movements mirror that of
the musical instruments and beats to the song as she swings her hips from side to side. Her
introduction of the prop used which is a sword seemed unique, twirling around in circles that makes it
flow in with her choreography. Going so far as to balance the sword on her head and gripping it with
her teeth which takes a lot of skill to do. Watching the rhythm of her body in sync with the music
shows how much exercise in involved as we can see her stomach muscles flexing and expanding as if
she is doing crunches.

Savulescu s argument also has some flaws in regards to his responses to a few possible objections he
talked about. One objection that Savulescu responds to is the objection that genes are pleiotropic
