The document describes experiments conducted for the front cover and double page spread of a magazine focused on the Pokémon universe. 2. Front Cover Process
• For the first process of the experiment I
pulled up and image and placed it on the
page. and for this experimentation I am
doing an in universe like magazine which will
be like a celebrity magazine but still has a
small connection to the kind of magazine I
will be doing during my production which
will be a gaming magazine.
• Next, I wrote up a simple title as galar
weekly then change the font to “Viner Hand
ITC” copied it two more time and changed
the colors blue red and white and placed
them on different layer to each other and
placed them in different spots to create this
under shadow look which with the bright
colors helps it to stand out more

• After that I added in the slogan
and did the same process, I did for
the title in which I wrote out a few
words then copied them two more
times then used those copied
sentences to create a back shadow.
• After the slogan I began work on
the sentence that would say what
the magazine contained in which
as before I wrote down a sentence
copied them twice and created a
back shadow.

4. Front cover process
• Next, I moved onto the next part of the
magazine which was the first story that
would be included in the magazine and
covered on the double page spread
which would be an exclusive interview
with the galar Pokémon champion Leon
in which I had also exported a picture of
Leon and place it above the writing and
did the same I had done for the other
piece of writing.
• After doing that I moved onto doing the
second story on the list in which I got
both an image of the wild area in
Pokémon sword and shield and a picture
of zygard shrinking it and combining it
with the picture of the wild area then
doing the text related to that picture.

5. Front cover process
• For the third story on the
front cover I exported over
an image of some curry
from Pokémon sword and
shield and gave it the usual
complementary text like
the others.
• Finally to finish the front-
page experiment off I
added a bar code and
issue number to create a
sense of realism to it.

• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– One element of my experiment I will use in my final
product is the idea of taking an existing font and
modifying it to create something new.
– Another element of my experiment I will use in my
final product is taking existing images and combining
them together to create a new one.
– A final aspect of my research I will include in my final
product is having the text mold round the focus
image.

7. Double Page Process
• To start the double page spread
experiment I began by doing the
basic text on the first page in which
after I had finished the second
pages simple layout as well, I
would begin modifying the design
to stand out more.
• Next, I began a simple layout of the
second page on the double page
spread in which I did a simple bio
such as his full name, age,
occupation, Family relations and
his story before becoming
champion and his current Pokémon
team.

8. Double Page Process
• Next, I went back to the first page and
change the fonts of the title and the
interview section and change the color
of the text in the interview section
making the interviews questions light
blue and yellow and Leon's dark blue
and yellow to help the reader who's
asking the questions and who’s
answering them .
• Next, I went to the second page and
did and image of a pokedex and put it
under the existing team part of the
page to create the sense that the
reader is getting this info off a pokedex
itself and change the font of the title
and added the name of each Pokémon
next to the images.

9. Double Page Process
• After that I went over to the double
page and imported some images
and placed them under the words
to create a look of a card collection
but also change to color of the text
to help make it easier for the
reader the read the letters and
colored the title.
• With that done I moved over to the
second page again in which I tried
to make the image of a book as
since Leon is considered a legend in
universe so it would make sense
that the part that gives the basic
bits of information and telling how
he became champion of Galar
would be set up in a book in which
I also change the texts font to
reflect the book setting.

10. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
• One element from my experimentation I will
include in my final product is making the page fit
with the theme of the subject it touches on.
• Another element of my research I will include in
my final product is having the text reflect the
theme of the subject being covered in the
magazine.
