3 Major Compromises
 
1. Great Compromise (Connecticut Compromise) This solved the problem of representation in Congress. Congress = Bicameral Each state would have two members in the Senate. In the House of Representatives each state would receive representatives based on population
2. Three-Fifths Compromise   Three-fifths of the slaves would count as population of a state.  (Every 5 enslaved persons = 3 free persons) Taxed in the same manner
3. Trade Compromise (Commerce Compromise) Congress could not tax exports  Congress could regulate trade  The President was given the power to make treaties with other countries, but two-thirds of the Senate must approve the treaty
