LEARNING OBJECTIVES
To learn about the family members
To practice the speaking and listening macro-skills. To practice speaking
by passing to the board to stick the images and repeating the new
vocabulary and to practice listening through the instructions provided by
the teacher to do the activities.
WARM UP
Presenting the new vocabulary (big, small, young, old) by showing
the students different printed pictures of cartoons and they will
have to identify what adjective characterize each famous
character.
FIRST ACTIVITY
Type of interaction: Teacher-students.
Macro-skills: Speaking.
Timing: 15 minutes.
Materials: poster and cartoon pictures.
DEVELOPMENT
We will give the students the cartoon pictures previously showed
representing the four adjectives (big, small, young, old) and they will
have to colour them. Then they will have to pass to the board and stick
them in a chart of adjectives in the correct place.
2. SECOND ACTIVITY:
Type of interaction: Students individually.
Macro-skills: Reading and listening.
Timing: 5 minutes.
Materials: book and a pencil.
The students will have to listen the teacher and point the members of the
family and said the adjective that characterize them. (page 28)
THIRD ACTIVITY:
Type of interaction: Students individually.
Macro-skills: Reading and listening.
Timing: 5 minutes.
Materials: book and a pencil.
The students will have to listen the teacher and circle the correct
adjective. (page 28)
3. FOURTH ACTIVITY
Type of interaction: Students on their own.
Macro-skills: Writing.
Timing: 10 minutes.
Materials: book and pencil.
The students will have to work on page 28 and they will have to circle the
correct adjective according to the picture.
