This lesson plan is for a 4th grade English class taught by trainees Camila and Belén. LESSON PLAN N°1
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
● Revise the adjectives learned in the previous class (small, big, tall, short, new, old).
● Learn new vocabulary of some animals.
● To practice the vocabulary with the activities.
ROUTINES:
“Hello song” and the date on the green board.
WARM UP:
We will start the lesson by singing the “Hello” song. After that, we will show a song
related to adjectives and animals in order to revise and practice the vocabulary learned in the
previous classes and learn some others new singing and dancing all together, then we will
give them the activities.
2. ACTIVITY 1: Extra activity
Type of interaction: Students-trainees.
Macro-skills: Writing.
Timing: 20 minutes.
Materials: Pencils, a piece of paper.
DEVELOPMENT
We asked students to stand up to listen and dance the song all together. After that,
we will give them a sheet of paper with written adjectives where they have to draw
what they saw in the video of the song in order to revise contrast of adjectives and
learn some others new. Once the activity is finished, the drawings are pasted on
colourful posters that will be shown on the walls of the classroom.

We have to ask students to go to page 31 and we will explain the activity. Then, they
have to listen and circle the correct information about a boy from the course book.

DEVELOPMENT
First of all the trainees will show them a big flashcard with personal information, not
only written but also with some illustrations about her, after that she will give them an
activity and they have to do something similar but this time they have to complete
with Vicky´s information (a character from the book), following the illustrations given.

● In this activity the trainees will explain to students that they have to do something
similar to the previous activity but in this case students have to match some personal
questions with the answers about a famous football player called Messi.
CLOSE UP:
● The trainees will assign homework, students will have to do something similar to the
previous activity but this time they have to write personal information about
themselves, about a friend or a member of their families and then they have to draw
the person they will choose.
