4. Warm-up: take out pens, journal, books.
• Take out your Homework Journal and note what supplies you
need for CSPE while I take the roll:
• A Small Copy (A5), A Folder (to fit books/copies/sheets), Pens +
Pencils, Colours are optional.
• (Task) I’m going to ask you to share your name and one thing
about yourself. (Examples: Hobbies, where’s your from, food?)
Objectives
1. Introduce ourselves and the subject.
2. Be able to explain what CSPE is.
C.S.P.E. 1st Year Date:
I do not expect everyone to have copies to write in yet. This first class
will mainly involve talking to each other and getting prepared.
5. Make sure you have noted what you need for next weeks CSPE
class. I do not expect you to have all this today so there will be
more reading than note taking this week.
Today we’ll look at ‘Citizenship’ and explain what C.S.P.E. is.
This involves reading pages vi, then v (first few pages) and
discussing the important words through these slides.
Exercises will involve answering questions in your ‘Reflective
Journal’ activity book about what you read.
The Plan Today.
6. •Open your green books on page vi (before page 1), then flip back to
page v to read CSPE and WELLBEING.
•C – Civic – You are a citizen with rights (Freedom, happiness, food)
•S – Social – You have a relationship with people around you.
•P – Political – You have a relationship with governments.
•E – Education – You will learn about the above.
•Wellbeing is about making sure you’re ok and able to deal with the
world.
•Being well yourself = Ability to make others well = Saving the
planet.
•After the reading, complete page 1 of the Blue Reflective Journal.
