for the environment if you could find another use for that thing.
Choose an object (Can, shoe, glass for example) and think of a
second purpose that object could fufill.

3. We shall read pages 118 – 120 today, which examines the 4 R’s
(Reduce, replace, reuse, recycle).
We’ll them complete two activities in the blue reflective journal.
One asks you to write down any new words you’ve come across
recently. The other asks you to create a tweet.
Your homework will include physically trying to do the three R’s.
(Also note in journal, poster class next class if you need any extra
art supplies.)
Plan for today
4. Let’s start reading page 118 to 120, which examine the 4 R’s. Take
down notes afterwards.
1. (note) Reduce: Use less things and try to make sure they have
little to no packaging. For example; fruit not in plastic bags.
2. (note) Replace: Some products have environmentally safe
options. You should use these alternatives.
3. (note) Reuse : don’t throw away something that can be used
again, even if not for it’s original purpose.
4. (note) Recycle: put any products that can be converted to
something else into a recycling bin. (Things that don’t decay)
(Think – examine the images on page 120. What do you see?)
