magazine. Therefore this
supports the above quote as
magazines genres have
changed over time, as it is a
combination of a fashion
magazine and a music
magazine.
One difference in this
magazine is that it lacks
in cover stories and
incentive features that
will appeal to the buyer,
but this magazine still
has a main image and an
icon that young people
look up to and aspire to
be like. This conforms to
Stephen Neale’s quote
below.
Because Rihanna is someone everyone
loves and aspires to be like, this
magazine will still appeal to young
people as this indicates to them that
inside this magazine, there will be
artists like Rihanna. This supports the
above quote because it is different
from other magazines as other
magazines will tell you immediately or
show a picture of another celebrity
that is also in the magazine where as
this magazine does it through the
main icon.
The simplicity of this
magazine makes up for
the missing elements of
a typical magazine cover,
and therefore this
supports the above
quote because this
change can be
negotiated and still have
an effect on the
audience.
